The good: Central location in Burbank. The vanilla latte I ordered was good and my son enjoyed his gelato The ugly: Parking can be hit or miss and for "good" coffee on the go, might as well go somewhere else with easier parking. Also, customer service here is mediocre at best. The young lady that took my order accidentally pushed over a candy jar that broke by my son's feet. It was an accident and she was apologetic, so no problem, but the gentleman that helped her clean it up was very rude. After it occurred, they proceeded to help the man who had just walked in instead of finishing up our order, so we had to wait to be helped after being disrupted by the broken jar. For the ambiance, nothing to report here. I won't be returning. There are plenty of better options nearby where you can be greeted with a smile and delicious coffee. read more

I stopped by for a coffee and it was okay. I ordered an iced latte with oat milk, no syrup. The espresso wasn't strong enough for my taste. The drink menu was average, with standard options for coffee and tea. They do offer food, gelato, and pastries. I'd love to try the pastries next time I'm in the area. read more

I have been meaning to try this place out for a while now and finally I got to go in earlier today and get my self a cold brew coffee. That's my preferred coffee drink and sometimes a cappuccino or a latte. Not a fan of sweetened drinks when you can't taste the coffee. The cold brew was delicious, I asked them to add a splash of whole milk and it was perfect. They sell some pastries, gelato, teas ...I didn't try any of those but next time for sure. They have indoor and some outdoor seating available. Location is good in downtown Burbank near some restaurants. Customer service was ok, could have been better. read more

After completing "The Oz Experience" scavenger hunt, we stopped in to get a couple smoothies and they were absolutely delicious. They are not the standard run of the mill smoothies. You could taste the difference and the quality of ingredients used. We also got a small strawberry and a small oreo gelato and they did not disappoint. Once again, quality you can taste. The staff were welcoming and provide service with a smile. The place is bright with a small sitting area both inside and out. It was spotless with a very comfortable, calming vibe. Although, finding parking wasn't to calming... we managed and it was well worth it. I can't wait to try additional items on their menu!!!! I'm looking forward to trying a sandwich... or two! Enjoyed my visit at Cafe Grano, particularly the cozy coffee shop vibe with outdoor seating at a street corner and the welcoming staff. The inside is rather small but modern and inviting. It offers different seating options to grab a quick coffee or even do some study/work (some customers came with their laptops). My watermelon refresher looked appealing and tasted pretty good. It left me curious to try their other drink items or ice creams next time. As an avid matcha drinker I was incredibly disappointed with my matcha latte. I paid $9 for the Kyoto ceremonial matcha for it to just taste like oat milk. If I'm paying that much for matcha I expect it to taste like it. There are much better matcha places in you drive to LA or 30 mins from Burbank to San Gabriel Valley. read more

Cafe Grano was a nice little discovery for me while walking around downtown Burbank in the weekend, looking for a place to grab a snack and a pick me up coffee. I am glad they are around because I avoid chains as much as possible. They have indoor and outdoors seating, nice decor, good service, decent espresso and great pastries, their muffins look fantastic, the cherry one was delicious. Unfortunately, today I had one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. There was a long line when I arrived, so instead of standing in the crowded line immediately, I sat down with my laptop intending to wait a few minutes until the line became shorter before placing my order, as I always do. There were also multiple empty tables available at the time. A young staff member approached me in an extremely rude and aggressive manner and told me I needed to order immediately or leave. I calmly explained that I was planning to order shortly and that I simply did not want to stand in the long line at that moment. Rather than speaking professionally or politely, she continued escalating the situation. She told me I had "10 minutes" to order, yet came back only a couple minutes later threatening to call the police if I did not leave immediately. I was shocked and honestly humiliated. I asked to speak to the owner or manager, but she refused to help resolve the situation. What upset me most was not the policy itself, because I understand businesses have rules. It was the unnecessary hostility, lack of professionalism, and the way I was personally singled out and treated despite being a loyal paying customer for years. As someone with an accent, I also left feeling uncomfortable and wondering whether bias played a role in how aggressively I was treated. Some staff members there have always been kind and wonderful, which makes this experience even more disappointing. But after today, unless the owner addresses this situation properly and speaks with the employee involved about customer service and professionalism, I do not feel comfortable returning. I would genuinely prefer to replace this review with a more positive one if this negative experience is acknowledged and somehow fairly compensated, because until today I truly enjoyed supporting this business. Very sad experience from a place I used to genuinely enjoy supporting.

Either the employee is really uninformed about the most basic things about coffee or this business refuses to pour their normal medium/dark/flavored roast coffee over ice because they charge twice as much for cold brew... neither of which is acceptable. If you want to wait in a 30-minute line with kids running into you and the decor completely unattended, and overpay for a drink that wasn't what you ordered... this is the place for you. Otherwise, any of the other local Burbank coffee shops are better. Literally, pick any of the other places and you will have a better experience.
