This little family owned spot is my go-to as someone who works on Flower St. Their tuna melt puts any other to shame, and the real secret hack when you're in a rush is to get one of their fantastic spinach quiche's since it comes right away from the window, with a little side salad. Their Chinese chicken salad is also killer, with really well seasoned/grilled chicken. It can get crazy from 12-1 because of lunchtime for the many Disney offices nearby, but nothing calling ahead of pickup can't cure. I cannot review the coffee as I did not order any at lunch. I did, however, enjoy a very delicious egg salad sandwich which featured avocado spread. Let's talk about the bread! So delicious. It has a name, maybe Bub's? Yum yum. My honey really liked the grilled chicken breast sandwich which also arrived on amazing bread: this time grilled sourdough. Great crumb on both the breads. Sandwiches are served with a side of salad greens and dressing. Patrons order at one window and your name is called for pick up at a second window. The patio is nicely shaded and private. I ordered the brioche breakfast sandwich with chicken sausage. First and foremost, the bread was very dry. The egg was so bland and I could not taste the cheese. The chicken sausage itself was alittle dry but had more flavor than anything else. I also ordered the Braised Pulled Pork Burrito for my husband he said the meat was so hard it felt like he was chewing on rocks and could not finish it. Which is not like him at all he doesn't like to waste food. He stated the rice and bean were undercooked. The iced vanilla lattes we ordered came hot which I don't mind at all and we didn't say anything but was a bit on the strong side which was easily fixable with creamer from home. What we got was definitely not worth the price. (Around $40 for everything) However I will say that the people working there were very nice and friendly. I love the Little Ground Cafe! My sister interns at DreamWorks so whenever I drop her off in the morning, I always stop by to get my usual breakfast before going to my own work. I call ahead since it's usually busy in the morning and I just pick up my food when I arrive. My order takes only 10 minutes. I get the same order every time - a braised pulled pork breakfast burrito and an iced matcha latte. I only come here for the burrito since it's one-of-a-kind and is THAT good! The burrito has cheddar, eggs, black bean, corn pico, bacon, and Mexican rice. It's a heavy meal but absolutely delicious. The iced matcha latte is also great. They have other breakfast items, pastries, and drinks. This place also has lunch items as well. I haven't had a chance to try them yet but absolutely want to in the future! Please note that this restaurant is located near DreamWorks and Disney on a busy street and there's just street parking. There's not really other restaurants to go to in the area either. This place also closes rather early at 2:30 PM and only does breakfast and lunch. Aside from this, I still highly recommend!!! read more

Tucked on a street corner that can be easy to miss, Little Ground is a bit of a hidden gem in Glendale and is beloved by many Walt Disney Company employees as it is within a very walkable distance from the Grand Central Creative Campus and Walt Disney Imagineering. I always love visiting this restaurant when I'm in the area for work and not just because of its location - it has a solid range of delicious breakfast items, sandwiches, and other lunch entrees (kimchi rice included!) as well as a good menu of solid coffee drinks that make this place much more than just a quick service location. I'm particularly a fan of their hefty breakfast burritos and quesadillas - the ingredients are really good (the spinach wrap is default on the quesadilla is a nice touch for example) and you know just right off the first bite you're getting quality cheese and eggs with those items. Little Ground also only has a fairly small but beautifully set outdoor seating area within a walled area that lends to it a feeling of relaxed intimacy - it's without a doubt, also the perfect place to talk to a coworker or friend. read more

It's a counter service place so you order at the counter and wait for your food but there's a decent sized outdoor patio. My suggestions for pastries are the morning bun (sells out OFTEN), the chocolate chip cookie and the oatmeal cookie. I heard the quiche is excellent too but haven't had it. Parking can be challenging but if you work in the Glendale area near 134 and 5 fwy intersection then it's a great place to walk to for lunch! I honestly don't know why this place doesn't have more reviews. It's located near the Glendale DMV location, which is how I came across this place. They have a walk up window where you order and then go to another window for pickup. They have a cute outdoor covered patio. It is located on a main street so I can see how maybe the noise from the cars would be annoying, but mostly people pick up and go. They have short term street parking right out front if you're just picking up. Otherwise, it's just street parking (there is a school nearby which may be a problem if you're going around school drop off/pick up hours). Overall, it's a good local coffee shop. They have really good pastry options (chocolate chip cookies being my favorite option) but they also have breakfast/lunch food options. On the verge of perfect excellence. This little corner cafe with a service window and outdoor seating really has a great brunch and bakery menu and serves up some good coffee to boot. The concrete jungle vibe in the modern design is a smart "grab n go" concept. Servicing the nearby Disney community and other industrial/commercial businesses, parking is street side only. For nearly $20 they will perfectly pack up a sandwich, a small side salad, and an espresso-type drink. There are other items on their menu that may be a bit more frugal, but their details in creating a very good sandwich are excellent. To their use of fresh ingredients, and most important of all the bread, I commend their details. Their sandwich slices of bread are lightly toasted to hold your sandwich just right. Open only during the weekdays, it can be a little disappointing when the weekend comes around and you're thinking about your lunch on Monday here. Although mostly good, the coffee can be a hit or miss sometimes. Whether it be the freshness of their grind, or possibly a miscalibration of their espresso machine, the pulls sometimes seem off and watered down. Parking is lacking because they don't have a dedicated lot but that's LA for you and you can find plenty of street parking around. Lots of reviews say the food is great and I agree. I got a croissant thinking it might be meh but it's legit. I hate soft croissants that have no crunch or flaky layers this did not disappoint. The coffee on the other hand was just ok. Nothing special but not terrible either. I got an iced coffee it tasted a bit watered down like not rich enough but not bad either.
