This coffee girl is always looking for a new spot that is family owned. Located in Glendale, just a few doors down from The Greek Bistro, you will find this cafe. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is colorful with plenty of tables and beautiful Armenian murals on the wall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's been here for 20 years...how did I not know that??? Being an Armenian coffee shop, I knew my coffee would be strong and not need it's usual extra shot. I was right!!! I ordered a 16 oz extra hot Honey Latte with whole milk, no foam. It was perfect! Not too sweet the way I like it! I also ordered a croissant which they heated up for me. It was good but when I asked for some jam the young man serving me said he couldn't spare it? Say what??? He needed it for some other item on the menu they serve. *Mental note to self, don't get a croissant here if you are "Jonesing" for some jam! *[[HIGHLIGHT]]Plenty of tables inside and no rushing here...stay as long as you like![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] *Public Lot next door is free for the first 90 mins.

I got the Urartu Twist. It was mocha with caramel and was delicious. The coffee is very good and gives you a nice mild jolt of bold coffee. Very nice people working here. I will come back soon.

I ordered inside for to go, they were super nice, but I was incredibly disappointed by my $8+ extra for oat milk London fog latte. I never write reviews, but this was almost $10 for just watered down tea. There was absolutely no flavor in it and didn't taste like a normal London fog. It was as if they barely steeped a tea bag and added milk. Just warning London fog fans that it doesn't taste like one :( hopefully their other drinks are good, I was really excited to try a local business and even tipped but I wish I tried my drink before I left. I expected more for an expensive drink, and not just watered down tea.

I absolutely love this family owned and operated coffee shop! The space is filled with warmth and character--beautiful Armenian inspired artifacts, paintings and books that make it feel more like a cultural haven than just a café. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The rich aroma of freshly brewd coffee fills the air with hypnotizing notes that draws you in and make you want to stay![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We tried both iced coffee and lattes, and each sip was bold, smooth and verysatisfying. The pastries and sweets paired perfectly, adding to the cozy, home-like atmosphere. Service was impeccable: genuine, attentive and welcoming. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It truly felt as though I was enjoying coffee and desserts at my auntie's house, surrounded by comfort, tradition and hospitalty.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This isn't just a place to grab a cup of coffee, it's an experience: a blend of culture, flavor, and family warmth that leaves you wanting to return again and again.

$8ish dollars for a banana and green iced tea, a little pricey but it's LA. Plus it's good to support a local business. Great service here also, they brought the drink to my table I was sitting on. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Got harassed by a moth in the corner also.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good quiet study spot![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Good people, friendly and nice, they have excellent quality of coffee and pasties :) [[HIGHLIGHT]]it's a very chill place, very clean inside and out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have outside seating that you can enjoy the fresh air and also inside if you want a more quiet atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

[[HIGHLIGHT]]This place upon entry felt comfy and relaxing, and it was nice and quiet too.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I came here in the morning with my bf trying out coffee spots and I found this place! Everyone was nice and welcoming. The coffee I ordered was an iced banana oat latte, and it wasn't too overly sweet or bitter-- it was just right! It was a good kind of strong, and I was still able to taste the hints of banana in it. My bf ordered the urartu twist, and he said it was one of the best coffees he's ever had!

So thankful Urartu exists we need more places like this. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Clean, comfortable, yummy food and drinks, kind employees.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I feel right at home. The sandwiches are made with really fresh ingredients, no fake stuff here

It was ok. Menu items pictured from last year looked way better than what I received. Felt that ingredients could be better and fresher, namely the red radish. There were bruised parts that could have easily been hidden or cut off. I would not order the avocado toast again. Service was friendly but slow. It was also a little awkward because cashier decided to start on the order after I listed a few items without first taking my full order. Interior clean and fun chess board available to play with family or friends. Outdoor patio seating option was great for sunny weather. 90 min free parking in nearby structure.

I got the Urartu Twist and it was definitely up my alley. I love Vietnamese Coffee and the strong base and sweetness reminded me of it. Coffee house is really good and would definitely recommend if you are in the area and you need a caffeine boost.

Not sure why I never wrote a review for this coffee shop but here it is. Located on Artsakh Street this coffee shops serves delicious coffee drinks including Armenian coffee. I love their cold brew coffee, it's just perfect. My husband likes the americano. You can't go wrong with any of their drinks. And if you are not happy just let them know. They sell few kinds of sweets and also sandwiches and toasts. Indoor seating g is cozy and has a great ambiance. There is also outdoor seating on the closed off street. Perfect to meet up friends or business colleagues. Customer service is always great here, friendly and attentive staff. A family owned coffee shop that treats you like family. One of my favorite coffee stops when in the area.

Lovely, old fashioned diner with exposed brick walls, distressed furniture and a mix of old and new American decor. Very comfortable and homey. The best part was the food though. The chef doesn't know it's a diner apparently. I had a lovely chicken piccata that was superb! The only thing I didn't do was lick the plate clean, it was so good. Fare you'd expect from a nice Italian bistro. They have a devil's den full of desserts they make, too. I had a banana cream pie that was ridiculously good, along with an excellent coffee. They have a full coffee bar as well as the dessert bar. Service was terrific and the pricing was moderate for the quality. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with a large menu filled with American comfort food favorites. We have a ballgame to go to mid August. We are going to eat early dinner here before the game. Cannot wait to try their chicken pot pie!

If you go during the breakfast/brunch rush on the weekends, def take a few deep breaths as there can be a wait. Often, the patio fills up quite quickly. But sometimes it's just the luck of arriving at the perfect moment. As far as the entrees are concerned, I particularly like the Chile Stuffed Skillet when I'm craving a savory breakfast meal. It's made with a pasilla pepper stuffed with bacon, cheddar, and a poached egg. It's baked it in an iron skillet on top of potatoes, and it's topped off with ranchera sauce and sour cream. And let me tell ya, those house-made biscuits are amazing. Warm, crumbly, and melt in your mouth like a good biscuit should. The house-made jams are also a nice treat and feel like having a sample of grandma's (or mom's) kitchen. On of my visits, a friend ordered the Banana Bread French Toast, and it made me wish I had two stomachs so that I could eat that as well. But like a good friend, she noticed that I was eyeing her breakfast like a puppy dog begging from scraps. So she was gracious enough to split some and do a trade with one of my biscuits. I think the trade was quite fair. Next time, we agreed to go halfsies on the Corn Flake Crusted French Toast because they're really exceptional, and the Morning Quiche (which is only served on the weekends).

Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café…read more Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café reminded me that we live for the wonderful experiences that remain to be discovered. After a wonderful lunch date with my wife at Raffi's Place (please read my review and thank me later) in Glendale, I decided to look for the perfect dessert. After scouting several nearby locations, I decided I was in the mood for a great cinnamon roll. Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café looked like the place that would deliver the experience I was seeking. SDLBC is listed as being in Glendale, but it's located in the historic Old Town of Montrose. That's beside the point; I only mention it because there are additional places to explore just up the street. We arrived around 3:00 p.m. on a Saturday, and there wasn't much of a selection left, including the highly sought-after cinnamon roll. The gentleman behind the counter greeted us warmly, and I immediately asked if that was all the pastries they had. He said yes. I contemplated leaving because of the nonexistent cinnamon roll, but I didn't want to be rude, so I decided to give the bakery a try since we were already there. So, we basically took half of what remained behind the glass display case: a Peach Almond Croissant, a Raspberry Pistachio Croissant, an Almond Croissant, and then my curiosity focused on a few lonely-looking pastries that were unfamiliar to my discerning eyes. I asked the gentleman what they were, and he replied with something that sounded completely foreign to me: Kouign-Amann. Kouign-Amann (pronounced queen ah-MAHN) is a traditional pastry from the region of Brittany, France. It is often considered one of the richest pastries in the world because it is made with just a few simple ingredients in generous proportions: bread dough, butter, and sugar. Figuring we needed a few more sweets for the road, we took all the remaining Kouign-Amanns. Two were the traditional version, and the other two were filled with crème and blueberry jam. We also ordered a Café Americano and a Café Mocha. While we waited for our drinks, I simply couldn't wait any longer. Like a kid on Christmas morning, I eagerly opened my gift and dug right into the Kouign-Amann. Hesitantly, I tore off a tiny piece with my fingers, expecting nothing extraordinary, and instantly gave birth to a brand-new experience that exploded in my mouth. The crisp exterior gave way to the soft, flaky center, followed by waves of what tasted like delicate honey. I tore off another piece and shared it with my wife. One look at her eyes told me she wanted more. By the time our drinks were ready, we had devoured one of the Kouign-Amanns and confessed to the gentleman behind the counter that we had just experienced pure ecstasy in the form of a pastry. Kouign-Amann is, in fact, one of the richest pastries in the world, so don't let the unfamiliar name keep you from trying one. The Café Americano and the Café Mocha were also exceptionally well prepared. With everything that's happening in the world these days, a simple yet profound experience like this reminded me how wonderful life can still be. Like Arnold said... "I'll be back." Enjoy!

Walking inside, the restaurant had a beautiful hacienda-style atmosphere with comfortable seating. We arrived right when they opened, so it wasn't busy. The dining room was very clean, and the restrooms were spotless as well. I ordered the combo plate with two items: a chile relleno and a shredded beef enchilada with red sauce, served with rice and beans. The chile relleno was perfection! I loved that it was fluffy, not greasy, and incredibly flavorful. As for the enchilada, I really enjoyed the shredded beef. The red sauce wasn't very spicy, which I prefer. I love a flavorful enchilada sauce without too much heat. Some restaurants make their sauce overly spicy, but this one was just perfect. The rice and beans were also excellent. The rice was soft and fluffy, not dry or hard, and the beans were well-seasoned without being overly salty like they are at many other restaurants. I truly enjoyed every bite of my meal. My best friend ordered the combination plate with one item: a shrimp enchilada with green sauce, served with rice and beans. She absolutely loved her meal and already wants to come back. We also enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa, and we heard they make great margaritas too. My mother ordered the large bowl of menudo, which came with lime, onions, and cilantro. She said it was delicious and not overly salty. She also swears they have the best Taco Tuesday specials, and they're available all day. The service was excellent.
