This local Glendale coffee shop, in the heart of Adams Hill, always has friendly vibes and neighbors you bump into when ordering your favorite coffee or tea drink. It has a cute eclectic feel and I love that they support a lot of local community artists and artisans. Every so often they have curated and thematic coffee drinks. This past month it was an ode to "Gilmore Girls". But if you like your java simple, their cappuccinos and lattes are custom made and sweetened to your liking. The baristas are always friendly and very willing to cater to your taste buds. Even when annoying customers (like me) play Eeny-Meenie-Miny-Moe with various drink options, they refrain from rolling their eyes. I'm surprised because I'm rolling my own eyes at my sense of indecision. Also, they have seasonal offerings and infuse gourmet ingredients like butterscotch, rose water, strawberries with matcha, and even lemon curd in some of their recipes. As far as seating goes, it's an intimate little shop. But you can sip on your drink and snack on a pastry alongside their big picture windows, or you can enjoy their outdoor seating. If you have little ones, then the Adams Square Mini Park is just across the way along the colorful pedestrian crosswalk. And for those who enjoy art, the revolving installations from community artists inside the historical 1936 Streamline Moderne-style gas station, designed by architect W.A. This coffee shop is located in the heart of a very walkable area of Glendale; perfect for grabbing a quick cuppa and taking a sunny stroll. Today was a in-and-out grab-n-go but the vibe here is super cozy, if not a tad cramped when busy. There was no clear line when I walked in, but the lobby was packed and a bit chaotic so it was understood. The staff seemed stressed with orders but handled it with speed and class. Small and local coffee shop nestled amongst the neighborhood of Glendale. Feels like a no frills kinda spot. They have some seating but not a ton and they have free WiFi. I eyed their specialty flavors and went with what the lady told me is their most popular, the salted butterscotch latte. I got mine iced with almond milk and decaf bc it was the late afternoon. I got it half sweet as she mentioned it was on the sweeter side and it came out just sweet enough. First things first, parking. No matter where you go in LA, the parking is god awful!! This part of town felt like San Francisco because of the lack of parking, small streets, and very hilly lol. Gorgeous though! This coffee shop is located right in the middle of the intersection so you can't miss it. We managed to find street parking that was free, a few blocks down and then just walked on over. They have a few little tables and seating outside and some inside. Gorgeous vintage feel inside and got super busy after we ordered so looks like we got there just in time. The young lady working wasn't smiling and seemed like she didn't feel like being there but at least my order got taken care of lol. No issues and came out pretty quickly. For whatever reason their straws were on the other side/end of the pickup counter so I was definitely lost and confused at first. Also, thankfully they don't use plastic or paper straws but instead they're like these bamboo straws? I'm not quite sure but they are sturdy and worked well! We ordered the Shamrock (iced matcha latte) and an iced Salted Butterscotch latte. Both were fantastic and super delicious! I came here to get some work done while I was visiting a friend in Cali. Definitely great cafe ambience, and I loved the jazz music they were playing! There was plenty of natural light. It was pretty easy to do work, but it does get a little loud when the workers are making drinks, but that's to be expected. Especially in a smaller cafe like this. PARKING No dedicated lot but there is plenty of free street parking everywhere. LOCATION Directly across from gallery and cute mini park for kids. (Be careful crossing the street) SEATING Inside seating on hot days Sidewalk and Park seating on temperate days. DRINKS Many regularly brewed menu items as well as seasonal favorites. My friends are regular here and recommend that you stray from your "regular order" and try something new. FOOD didn't try anything, but some vegan pastries to choose from. Was on the hunt for coffee in Glendale on a Sunday around lunch and came upon this spot. What a treat! The neighborhood is super cute and the shop is right across the street from a small park. Parking was decent on the surrounding streets. It's a fairly quiet area and I definitely didn't feel like I was in Glendale. Got an iced vanilla latte with almond milk and wow... the coffee was incredible! The staff seems friendly enough, and the coffee came out pretty quickly even though there were a few people waiting. First time coming here. This is the first time I encounter switching milk to half&half is $1.50 and the serve said "half&half milk is expensive thats why". I think that's too much other places they charge .50-1.00 I got cheeky matcha got regular milk because server said half&half cost them a lot. The drink taste like milk with rose flavor which is I like the rose flavor. But I couldn't taste the matcha. Also, got another drink Brown sugar shaken espresso the milk for that is oat milk if we change the milk to regular is $1. The drink is very light. It felt like drink ing milk with water down. The mean matcha is delicious! It's a latte with vanilla so it tastes like ice cream. I worked from here once. The music was really loud so do bring headphones. There's tables outside too so I was able to take a meeting outside where it was much quieter. Free street parking. Staff are nice. read more

Pleasant place for caffeine and lounge or take the brew to-go. Walking into the coffee house I enjoyed the peaceful well lit atmosphere and sweet that there was almost no line. My girlfriend and I were able to read their menu above the bar and select a couple different lattes. We tried a maple latte with an extra shot of espresso for me and lavender latte for my lady. We hung out for a couple minutes by the front window until the barista called our orders. The 16oz iced latte size was great! For my maple, I liked the extra shot of espresso, it gave the drink a slightly more rich brew taste and not too bitter; The subtle sweet maple was still very consistent. My girlfriend's lavender latte was also enjoyable, yes i stole a few sips.. worth it. We finished our coffees in the small park across the street since it was a bright cool Sunday morning. I am usually never ever in Glendale, unless for an appointment, so I do not know the area all that well. Since I was in the area for the said appointment, and had some time afterwards, I Yelped "coffee" as a keyword and decided upon Kafn Coffee Bar. Seems like most coffee places in the area close early in the afternoons, with a few that close later in the day. I was fortunate to find a spot (street parking) right in front of Kafn. As I stepped in, I was greeted immediately. I wanted to try one of the Specialty Lattes, and after asking the barista/cashier, I opted for the Salted Caramel Latte, which was not overly sweet and perfectly balanced = wonderful. I did not realize that they charge an extra $0.75 for hot drinks, as I tend to prefer hot drinks over cold drinks. Salted Caramel Latte (hot +$0.75) Our house-made creamy caramel is kissed with a touch of salt and stirred with your choice of milk. It is a very cute, quaint coffee shop with a few tables (majority high top tables). If only I lived in the area, I would most definitely grab a coffee and enjoy a book here, or meet up with my friends. When I placed my order, the cashier took a paper cup, turned it over, and put four fingers inside the cup before handing it to the barista. I politely asked for a new cup because it's important to me that the cup remains clean. Unfortunately, after my request, I felt noticeable dissatisfaction and not a very friendly attitude. Indoor was very spacious with aesthetic design. On their menu, you'll find a plethora of espresso coffee and tea based. Similarly, they have modest selection of pastries. I loved how it wasn't like typical recently hype ones with long lines, packed space, and loud surroundings. It felt chill with friendly barista and calming atmosphere. I love that they hand whisk their Matcha. I love that they have an option of flavors with different combinations, according to the seasons. With that being said their matcha is very inconsistent. There will be days where it's really dark and match forward, which is what I'm looking for, and there'll be other days where it simply just milk.
