Cute coffee spot with a great espresso. I got the salted butterscotch and although it was a little on the milker side, it was good. Always hope shops add more shots to multiple sizes but this one was smaller (1 shot - 12oz) and small (2 shots 16oz). Baristas were nice and bathroom was clean.

Yummy Salted Butterscotch Latte on the left And on the right hazelnut shaken espresso

Coming from a real coffee addict the ice butterscotch latte was everything. It is my favorite and I am definitely coming back. The baristas were so sweet and helped us. It was our first time there. It's is really nice inside and calm just good vibes !

First things first, parking. No matter where you go in LA, the parking is god awful!! This part of town felt like San Francisco because of the lack of parking, small streets, and very hilly lol. Gorgeous though! This coffee shop is located right in the middle of the intersection so you can't miss it. We managed to find street parking that was free, a few blocks down and then just walked on over. They have a few little tables and seating outside and some inside. Gorgeous vintage feel inside and got super busy after we ordered so looks like we got there just in time. The young lady working wasn't smiling and seemed like she didn't feel like being there but at least my order got taken care of lol. No issues and came out pretty quickly. For whatever reason their straws were on the other side/end of the pickup counter so I was definitely lost and confused at first. Also, thankfully they don't use plastic or paper straws but instead they're like these bamboo straws? I'm not quite sure but they are sturdy and worked well! We ordered the Shamrock (iced matcha latte) and an iced Salted Butterscotch latte. Both were fantastic and super delicious! Strong and perfectly sweet, would definitely recommend this place if you're ever in the area! Great prices as well for what you get. IG: @ammysalamii

I came here to get some work done while I was visiting a friend in Cali. Definitely great cafe ambience, and I loved the jazz music they were playing! There was plenty of natural light. It was pretty easy to do work, but it does get a little loud when the workers are making drinks, but that's to be expected. Especially in a smaller cafe like this. As for my drink, there was definitely pumpkin and matcha, but it tasted too weak in my opinion. Overall, definitely a cute place! Thanks for having me :-)

Fantastic small neighborhood sidewalk spot. There may be few reasons to come to Adams Square Mini Park, but this coffee shop is high on the list. PARKING No dedicated lot but there is plenty of free street parking everywhere. LOCATION Directly across from gallery and cute mini park for kids. (Be careful crossing the street) SEATING Inside seating on hot days Sidewalk and Park seating on temperate days. DRINKS Many regularly brewed menu items as well as seasonal favorites. My friends are regular here and recommend that you stray from your "regular order" and try something new. FOOD didn't try anything, but some vegan pastries to choose from. SERVICE I've been here only in the morning when the place is usually quite busy, but service is prompt and coffee is hot.

Iced salted butterscotch was pretty solid. Coffee flavor was nice and strong, no need for an extra shot. I would order again.

First time coming here. This is the first time I encounter switching milk to half&half is $1.50 and the serve said "half&half milk is expensive thats why". I think that's too much other places they charge .50-1.00 I got cheeky matcha got regular milk because server said half&half cost them a lot. The drink taste like milk with rose flavor which is I like the rose flavor. But I couldn't taste the matcha. Also, got another drink Brown sugar shaken espresso the milk for that is oat milk if we change the milk to regular is $1. The drink is very light. It felt like drink ing milk with water down. Couldn't taste the coffee. I love coffee and I've been to a lot of coffee shop and I think this is the worst coffee shop I have been to in Glendale.

The mean matcha is delicious! It's a latte with vanilla so it tastes like ice cream. I worked from here once. The music was really loud so do bring headphones. There's tables outside too so I was able to take a meeting outside where it was much quieter. Free street parking. Staff are nice.

Such a hidden gem! I love unsuspecting coffee spots, and KAFN totally surprised me in the best way possible. Walked in to find it buzzing with happy caffeine lovers. The salted caramel latte made my husband swoon. My iced mocha, mellow and oat-milky, was a little sip of happiness. Bonus points for the charming neighborhood. 10/10 would caffeinate again

This coffee shop was out of the way for me and there is no parking lot, but I will definitely go back because their coffee was so good. Here's what we ordered... Vintage Vanilla latte: Excellent Salted Caramel latte: Excellent The lady who helped us was very friendly at this cute store and our coffees came out quickly. We were there early in the morning on a weekend, so we were able to find a seat indoors to enjoy our coffee. They also had seating outside as well.

Kafn is one of the few explicitly LGBTQ-friendly spaces in Glendale, and for that, I love them. The coffee is pretty good, too. I would love a second location, ideally in downtown Glendale.

Laid back vibe, friendly staff and delicious beverages. Needed someplace to hang while waiting for my mom while she had a doc visit. Found this little neighborhood cafe. Commandeered a high top for my desk, ordered a croissant and a matcha latte. Just what I expected. Available WiFi to connect the laptop to and music to work to. If I'm ever back in the area I would revisit. Thanks Kafn.

Is it an ideal place to study?

    Is there currently indoor seating?

    Yes, as of October 2022!

    Do you have AC?

Yes, a new system installed when we opened. Even so on the hottest days it can work pretty hard to keep up but is never uncomfortable. It’s a vintage building and sitting by the window facing the sun can still get a little warm.

Do they roast their own espresso?

Not yet. It is roasted in the Bay Area by Manufatory. We are looking into setup a roasting operation in a warehouse in montrose since one of our Baristas also has a small roasting business.

In addition to our special menu, we have a few things off book that are pretty cool. We are trying to avoid a “secret menu” ala In and Out Burger, but thing are changing faster than the printer.…

Does Kafn offer any decaf coffee drinks/lattes?

Absolutely! All of our drinks are available as decaf and we offer decaf Americanos for brewed coffee. We can't brew a carafe of decaf and guarantee it's freshness, hence the espresso based solution. When we introduce the pour over station we can…

This was also my very first time at this location, and I must say it was quite a treat! The coffee shop is conveniently located right across from the Americana, so you can easily street park or park at the mall and walk over. It was busy when I arrived on a Friday afternoon, but there were still tables available both inside had outside. The chairs are not the comfiest, but the shop is still very clean and well maintained! When I approached the counter, I was greeted by the friendly employees who were busy preparing orders. This gave me the opportunity to peruse their unique menu and settle upon a latte to order. My sweet tooth was in effect and I opted for the Tiramisu latte with oat milk and was asked if sweet was ok! I thought it was so cool how you're able to customize the drink as you please and bonus points for no charge for nondairy milk. It was very affordable at $6.85. My latte came out pretty quickly and I marveled at the cocoa powdered topping. It truly tasted like a dessert and was so rich and indulgent yet somehow I didn't feel gross after drinking it. The oat milk was creamy and perfectly frothed and the espresso was well balanced. I had a dance class that night and it gave me just the right amount of energy to make it through the class yet still manage to sleep fine that night! I will definitely return next time I'm in the area as a few other menu items sounded equally enticing and the customer service was so impeccable!

The young lady who helped was nice and explained how pick up works. Appreciate the helpfulness. This location has both indoor and outdoor seating area. There are several tables inside and I notice couple of tables outside. Store was very clean and well maintained. They also had sample cookies by the register for customers to try which was a nice gesture . This coffee shop is located in walking distance from Americana which makes it a great spot to grab coffee after shopping. One thing I appreciated immediately was the parking. There is plenty of street parking, a parking structure directly across the street, and additional parking nearby, so getting there was surprisingly easy. As soon as we walked in, the owner, who was sitting near the entrance, warmly welcomed us. We initially started walking toward the cozy booth section in the back, but were told that area is reserved for dinner service and wasn't open... We weren't the only ones confused, as another guest came in shortly after and tried to sit there as well. That left us deciding between a few café tables downstairs, outdoor seating, or the upstairs loft. We first tried upstairs, but there were only a couple of two-top tables available. One was occupied by guests working on laptops, and the seating felt a little close together. The remaining tables were reserved for larger parties, so we ended up heading back downstairs. One of the available booths faced the restroom, which isn't my favorite, but I simply sat on the opposite side and it worked out just fine. Once we got settled, everything improved. Our server was friendly, attentive, and happy to offer recommendations. I ordered the French baguette turkey sandwich, while we also tried the spicy chicken sandwich, which both the server and the owner highly recommended. The owner even mentioned it's what he personally eats almost every day, and I can see why, it was delicious. We also ordered fries to share along with two hot lattes: a chai tea latte and a mocha. Both coffee drinks were excellent and easily some of the highlights of our meal. The atmosphere is charming and cozy, making it a great place to relax, catch up with friends, or enjoy a coffee date. Before dessert, the owner recommended the mini pancakes and the waffles, with ice cream. They both looked great, but I've had similar desserts at several other cafés recently, so I wanted to try something different. I ordered the brownie with ice cream instead, and I'm so glad I did. It was rich, fresh, and absolutely delicious. One thing the owner emphasized was that they use fresh ingredients without preservatives and focus on quality. After our meal, I believe it. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtfully prepared, and made with care. Our total for two people, including tip, came to about $120. It's a little on the pricier side for a café, but you're also paying for the ambiance, quality ingredients, attentive service, and the overall experience. Overall, we had a very enjoyable visit. My only suggestion would be to make the seating situation a little clearer for first-time guests, since several of us naturally gravitated toward the closed dining section. Other than that, the welcoming hospitality, quality food, excellent coffee, and relaxing atmosphere made this a place I'd happily return to.

So many people define themselves as experts. Sadly, many of those same people will walk in and say things like, "Gosh, I'm tired, could you make me a double espresso?", clearly assuming that stronger taste automatically means more caffeine. My wife and I simply like a good coffee in the morning. Which leads to the obvious question: what do we define as "good coffee"? For us, it helps us get into the day, tastes pleasant, and does not leave a bitter note. We are absolutely not coffee experts and can discuss coffee, at best, at what we Germans would call "Thekenniveau" -- bar-counter level. I do understand, however, that it may make a difference whether beans were roasted weeks or even months ago somewhere remote, then shipped and stored, or whether they were roasted locally and recently. So we asked ChatGPT, and one of the recommendations was REGENT Coffee in our neighborhood. We went. Our directive was very clear: we explained that we knew little to nothing about coffee, which was precisely why we had come in and were looking for advice. The lady helping us started with: "Well, it all comes down to the settings of your coffee machine when you pour your espresso." I responded that we are not really espresso drinkers -- we drink Americano. She gave us "the look" and explained that an Americano is espresso with more water. The information: fair enough. The way it was communicated: not ideal if your goal is to win me as a customer. From there, the conversation did not really lead anywhere. We were asked questions such as whether we preferred nutty or fruity coffee. That may be a perfectly reasonable question for someone who already knows what those terms mean in practical taste terms. But we had just told her that we did not. That was the entire reason we were there. We were not looking to prove our coffee knowledge. We were looking for someone who had the expertise to guide us. In the end, we bought an Americano. It was served so hot that my wife burned her mouth in the car, and it took almost the entire 45-minute drive to Santa Monica before it had reached what we considered a comfortable drinking temperature. It cost $5. And we did not even particularly like it. Would I go again? No. Would I recommend REGENT based on this experience? No. What makes this particularly disappointing is that this was a tremendous lost opportunity to turn us into long-term customers. We like expert advice. We drive to Farmers Markets to buy fresh produce knowing full well that we may pay 200% more for something that is perhaps only 15% better. But we can taste the difference, and that makes it worthwhile to us. Coffee could have been exactly the same. If I specialized in coffee, I would make it incredibly easy for people like us to enter that world. I would offer tastings. I would explain, in simple language, what "nutty", "fruity", "chocolatey", "bright", "smooth" or "low acidity" actually mean in the cup. I might offer a short class on how to set up a home coffee machine properly. Maybe even machine-specific sessions. Maybe in the shop. Maybe at the customer's home. Because there are customers walking through the door saying, quite literally: "We know very little. We want advice. We are willing to spend money." And even better from a business perspective: Not just money once. Continuous money. Imagine if the conversation had instead started with: "I totally understand where you are coming from. Coffee can become unnecessarily complicated very quickly. Since you mostly drink Americano and want something smooth rather than bitter, let me give you two small tastes so you can understand the difference. Then I'll recommend one bean to start with." We would almost certainly have bought a bag. Possibly two. And if we had liked them, we might have bought beans there for years. Instead, they sold us one tiny cup for $5 over the counter, while the payment screen suggested an 18-25% tip. And two potentially very loyal customers walked out frustrated. That, to me, is the real business lesson here. It is not about whether REGENT makes good or bad coffee. Taste is subjective. It is about recognizing the customer who is standing right in front of you. Especially when that customer is effectively saying: "Please teach me how to spend more money with you." And then making sure you do not send them home without doing exactly that. Small caffeine footnote: espresso is more concentrated in caffeine per ounce, but a normal serving of drip coffee usually contains more total caffeine than a single espresso because the serving is much larger. Stronger taste does not automatically mean more caffeine.

Usually I go for a simple iced caramel latte and it's literal perfection. love the staff here super friendly and hardworking people. give this place a go if you're in the area! its right across the street from bloomingdales and next to bjs!

I ended up with a house coffee and a jalapeño cheddar bagel. The coffee is ok although I think their specialty coffee drinks are a little better. Can't go wrong with a bagel and cream cheese. I notice they now have a sign where you can only work on a laptop for an hour (I've worked on a laptop there in the past and stayed for2 but I don't think it was a rule back then). With that said, this is a nice place to grab a light bite and read or chat with a friend while there.

12 oz Pistachio Latte minus whipped cream - good, but I'd pass on the pistachio (tasted like almond extract) next time
