    Ordering guide at register

I have been to several Philz throughout California. There is only 1 Philz where I felt service and quality was lacking. This location in Glendale is not it. The customer service is excellent. I ordered a Philz Iced Tea with honey (the best iced tea in the US) and a Unity Cold Brew (seasonal) with oat milk. Both drinks are delicious with a lot of flavor. Philz is amazing by providing quality with attention to every cup. I remember Philz when it was a couple of locations in San Francisco, today they have lost their individual personality, but [[HIGHLIGHT]]the corporate design is comfortable.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Philz is great! Ordered the mint mojito iced and it always, always delivers my fix. However I decided to try Jacob's Wonderbar with heavy cream and it was so good in a thick, dark, and serious flavor. I may try it with oat milk next time as I enjoy that flavor and texture for smoother and "creamy" toe drinks, but overall love that hint of smoke flavor. Not really a scotch whiskey peety campfire type flavor, but curiously nice to experience on my tastes buds. Thank you for the delicious coffees and the friendly staff!

Philz is my usual go-to whenever I am out of town. It is just as reliable as Starbucks but way tastier! The staff was very nice, and she was offering her recommendations. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The coffee shop itself was very crowded and loud, but that is to be expected since it is a popular coffee shop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I got the winter bliss and the gingersnap. Both were very good! The winter bliss is a cold brew which I don't normally like, but their cold brew was good!

Solid coffee, I got the mint one recommended by the barista and would consider coming back if parking wasn't paid.

    Mocha Tesora
    Philip A.

Stopped by Philz Coffee in Glendale and ordered the Mocha Tesora -- definitely a treat. It's rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced with that chocolatey depth and signature Philz boldness. Not overly sweet, which I appreciated -- just enough to feel indulgent without being heavy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe inside was laid-back, with plenty of space to hang out or get some work done.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Staff was friendly and took their time making the drink just right -- they always ask about sweetness and cream levels, which I love. If you're into custom-made coffee and want something a little more dessert-like without going full sugar bomb, the Mocha Tesora is a solid pick. Will definitely be back to try other blends!

I love coming to this Philz, especially before a big shopping day. I always grab a honey haze with oat milk, made house way(sweet & creamy) hits every time. The baristas here are consistently friendly, and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the space is super open with plenty of seating.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Plus, the location is hard to beat. Easily one of my favorite Philz location in LA and I'll definitely keep coming back.

Their coffee is good, but the menu is limited with not many options beyond the set items. Morning wait time was over 25 minutes even with only two people ahead of us because of large volume of online orders. I'll definitely opt to order ahead of arrival.

Campfire s'mores cold brew (32 Oz)

The Philz on South Hope St is usually my go-to. However, after work this morning I decided to make a quick pit-stop to the one off of Brand since it was around the corner. My usual is either the oatmeal cookie cold brew or the campfire s'mores. Viva made my drink today and it was by far the best cup I've gotten from Philz! I'm usually a sipper, and an hour later it was equally delicious as it was when I first picked it up. I wish the picture did its justice. She was very kind at the hand-off station as well. Seems like this location is my new go-to!

    Mint Mojito
    Courtney L.

I didn't even need to look at the menu; I came to Philz specifically for their Mint Mojito! The drinks are customizable in terms of cream and sweetness. Since Philz has been on my list of bookmarks for years, I didn't want to risk messing up my order. That said, I consulted the cashier for the ideal balance to which she suggested medium levels for both. She also mentioned that they only serve pour over as opposed to espresso. For someone who is more sensitive to caffeine, this was actually good news to me, and I was extra pleased to hear that all their "featured creations" can be made decaf. As the barista called customers to grab their drinks, she had them try a sip first to confirm if it met their preferences. For example, if it wasn't sweet enough, she could add more sweetener. I really appreciate that she took the time to ask and this demonstrates how Philz prioritizes customer service. Mine was just right... no adjustments necessary! The ICED MINT MOJITO ($5.65 for medium) was everything I imagined and more. It was smooth with a minty finish and truly blissful down to the last sip. The flavor of the coffee together with the cream and freshness of the mint all melded together in a perfect harmony. Additionally, the amount of ice was just right, unlike other coffee shops I've been to where they fill your cup halfway with ice. This location is in a prime spot at The Americana at Brand shopping center and has a good amount of seating. Sadly, I was only able to visit once while in the area, but given another day, I would have stopped by again without a doubt.

    Large Mint Mojito Iced Coffee
    Nicole L.

The Mint Mojito is absolutely delicious! The mint leaves add a wonderfully refreshing touch, and the drink has the perfect balance of sweetness and creaminess. I highly recommend getting it the House Way. Baristas are friendly and attentive. There's a single register for ordering and customers can watch the baristas prepare their drink. Interior has lots of natural light coming in and there is plenty of seating. Music is on the louder side and has a more social vibe!

I swing by Philz Coffee whenever I am in Cali. They have yet to make their way to AZ. I usually grab a bag of beans with my drink when I come here so that I can brew some at home. It may take a little time, but I love that each drink is custom made right in front of you. The Mint Mojito Iced Coffee is so good and has been my favorite for years. I recently stopped by here and picked up a Spiced Vanilla Soul. It is one of their seasonal drinks and was one of the best Fall coffee drinks that I have ever had. Phil Jaber founded Philz Coffee in 2003. He spent years experimenting with various coffee beans from around the world to create over 30 different unique blends. He converted his San Francisco corner grocery store into his first coffeeshop and now has locations all over the U.S. I was first introduced to Philz Coffee by a friend that I visited in San Fran years ago. This shop in located in Downtown Glendale near the Museum of Neon Art. You can order ahead of time through the Philz mobile app. The staff was friendly as always when I stopped in.

Philz Coffee Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Philz Coffee

Where do I park to go here?

The Glendale Galleria has a parking garage! It's across the street from Philz but it's a pleasant walk.

    Are there outlets?

Yes! They are fairly limited, but they are located on the floor beneath our community tables.

    What's in the rose coffee?

Just their standard coffee with a rose flavored cream on top

The Philz app says the Glendale location is closed. Can anyone confirm?

According to their Instagram a member at that location tested positive for COVID but they are closed as of Thursday.

How's parking? Not from this area.

I park in the lot directly behind the strip. There is ample parking during the early morning hours.

So why doesn't this location have Jamaican blue mountain?

It was discontinued by the company due to poor sales.

Lovely, old fashioned diner with exposed brick walls, distressed furniture and a mix of old and new American decor. Very comfortable and homey. The best part was the food though. If you go during the breakfast/brunch rush on the weekends, def take a few deep breaths as there can be a wait. Often, the patio fills up quite quickly. But sometimes it's just the luck of arriving at the perfect moment. As far as the entrees are concerned, I particularly like the Chile Stuffed Skillet when I'm craving a savory breakfast meal. It's made with a pasilla pepper stuffed with bacon, cheddar, and a poached egg. It's baked it in an iron skillet on top of potatoes, and it's topped off with ranchera sauce and sour cream. And let me tell ya, those house-made biscuits are amazing. Warm, crumbly, and melt in your mouth like a good biscuit should. The house-made jams are also a nice treat and feel like having a sample of grandma's (or mom's) kitchen. On of my visits, a friend ordered the Banana Bread French Toast, and it made me wish I had two stomachs so that I could eat that as well. But like a good friend, she noticed that I was eyeing her breakfast like a puppy dog begging from scraps. So she was gracious enough to split some and do a trade with one of my biscuits. I think the trade was quite fair. Next time, we agreed to go halfsies on the Corn Flake Crusted French Toast because they're really exceptional, and the Morning Quiche (which is only served on the weekends).

Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café…read more Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café reminded me that we live for the wonderful experiences that remain to be discovered. After a wonderful lunch date with my wife at Raffi's Place (please read my review and thank me later) in Glendale, I decided to look for the perfect dessert. After scouting several nearby locations, I decided I was in the mood for a great cinnamon roll. Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café looked like the place that would deliver the experience I was seeking. SDLBC is listed as being in Glendale, but it's located in the historic Old Town of Montrose. That's beside the point; I only mention it because there are additional places to explore just up the street. We arrived around 3:00 p.m. on a Saturday, and there wasn't much of a selection left, including the highly sought-after cinnamon roll. The gentleman behind the counter greeted us warmly, and I immediately asked if that was all the pastries they had. He said yes. I contemplated leaving because of the nonexistent cinnamon roll, but I didn't want to be rude, so I decided to give the bakery a try since we were already there. So, we basically took half of what remained behind the glass display case: a Peach Almond Croissant, a Raspberry Pistachio Croissant, an Almond Croissant, and then my curiosity focused on a few lonely-looking pastries that were unfamiliar to my discerning eyes. I asked the gentleman what they were, and he replied with something that sounded completely foreign to me: Kouign-Amann. Kouign-Amann (pronounced queen ah-MAHN) is a traditional pastry from the region of Brittany, France. It is often considered one of the richest pastries in the world because it is made with just a few simple ingredients in generous proportions: bread dough, butter, and sugar. Figuring we needed a few more sweets for the road, we took all the remaining Kouign-Amanns. Two were the traditional version, and the other two were filled with crème and blueberry jam. We also ordered a Café Americano and a Café Mocha. While we waited for our drinks, I simply couldn't wait any longer. Like a kid on Christmas morning, I eagerly opened my gift and dug right into the Kouign-Amann. Hesitantly, I tore off a tiny piece with my fingers, expecting nothing extraordinary, and instantly gave birth to a brand-new experience that exploded in my mouth. The crisp exterior gave way to the soft, flaky center, followed by waves of what tasted like delicate honey. I tore off another piece and shared it with my wife. One look at her eyes told me she wanted more. By the time our drinks were ready, we had devoured one of the Kouign-Amanns and confessed to the gentleman behind the counter that we had just experienced pure ecstasy in the form of a pastry. Kouign-Amann is, in fact, one of the richest pastries in the world, so don't let the unfamiliar name keep you from trying one. The Café Americano and the Café Mocha were also exceptionally well prepared. With everything that's happening in the world these days, a simple yet profound experience like this reminded me how wonderful life can still be. Like Arnold said... "I'll be back." Enjoy!

The dining room was very clean, and the restrooms were spotless as well. I loved that it was fluffy, not greasy, and incredibly flavorful. As for the enchilada, I really enjoyed the shredded beef. The red sauce wasn't very spicy, which I prefer. I love a flavorful enchilada sauce without too much heat. Some restaurants make their sauce overly spicy, but this one was just perfect. The rice and beans were also excellent. The rice was soft and fluffy, not dry or hard, and the beans were well-seasoned without being overly salty like they are at many other restaurants. I truly enjoyed every bite of my meal. I will definitely come back for the service and to try something else from the ready list of vegan entrees they seemed happy to offer off-menu.
