Surprisingly I have one been to a Philz Coffee a couple of times before and it's been years since I've been! This was also my very first time at this location, and I must say it was quite a treat! The coffee shop is conveniently located right across from the Americana, so you can easily street park or park at the mall and walk over. It was busy when I arrived on a Friday afternoon, but there were still tables available both inside had outside. The chairs are not the comfiest, but the shop is still very clean and well maintained! When I approached the counter, I was greeted by the friendly employees who were busy preparing orders. This gave me the opportunity to peruse their unique menu and settle upon a latte to order. My sweet tooth was in effect and I opted for the Tiramisu latte with oat milk and was asked if sweet was ok! I thought it was so cool how you're able to customize the drink as you please and bonus points for no charge for nondairy milk. It was very affordable at $6.85. My latte came out pretty quickly and I marveled at the cocoa powdered topping. It truly tasted like a dessert and was so rich and indulgent yet somehow I didn't feel gross after drinking it. The oat milk was creamy and perfectly frothed and the espresso was well balanced. I had a dance class that night and it gave me just the right amount of energy to make it through the class yet still manage to sleep fine that night! I will definitely return next time I'm in the area as a few other menu items sounded equally enticing and the customer service was so impeccable! read more

This was my first time trying Philz Coffee. It didn't disappoint. Coffee tasted good, it was perfectly made. It was not too sweet and had the perfect amount of creamer. Since it was my first time, I placed the order online. So I don't mess up the order and hold the line by deciding what to order. The pick up process was kind of confusing cause there were no sign for online order pick up. I had to go to the register and ask about the pick up. The young lady who helped was nice and explained how pick up works. Appreciate the helpfulness. This location has both indoor and outdoor seating area. There are several tables inside and I notice couple of tables outside. Store was very clean and well maintained. They also had sample cookies by the register for customers to try which was a nice gesture . This coffee shop is located in walking distance from Americana which makes it a great spot to grab coffee after shopping. There is street parking available and Americana/ Glendale Galleria are another option for parking. Been coming here for years and I have to say it is some of the best coffee I've had. I'm not usually a fan of chains but considering this place does not have that many locations, they have still kept the quality high. Located across from the Americana. There is a lot of parking nearby, you can even park at the Americana and walk across. Inside is clean with tables to sit at. Staff is friendly and usually fast. My favorites on the menu are the mint mojito and the rose. You can customize creaminess and sweetness which I appreciate. And the coffee is strong! I have been to several Philz throughout California. There is only 1 Philz where I felt service and quality was lacking. This location in Glendale is not it. The customer service is excellent. I ordered a Philz Iced Tea with honey (the best iced tea in the US) and a Unity Cold Brew (seasonal) with oat milk. Both drinks are delicious with a lot of flavor. Philz is amazing by providing quality with attention to every cup. I remember Philz when it was a couple of locations in San Francisco, today they have lost their individual personality, but the corporate design is comfortable. read more

The Philz on South Hope St is usually my go-to. However, after work this morning I decided to make a quick pit-stop to the one off of Brand since it was around the corner. My usual is either the oatmeal cookie cold brew or the campfire s'mores. Viva made my drink today and it was by far the best cup I've gotten from Philz! I'm usually a sipper, and an hour later it was equally delicious as it was when I first picked it up. I wish the picture did its justice. She was very kind at the hand-off station as well. However I decided to try Jacob's Wonderbar with heavy cream and it was so good in a thick, dark, and serious flavor. The coffee shop itself was very crowded and loud, but that is to be expected since it is a popular coffee shop. I got the winter bliss and the gingersnap. Both were very good! My drink was well made with the right amount of sweetness, my partner's drink was a bit too sweet, though that could have been that the drinks recipe is a bit sweeter in a small than a medium or large. That said, I consulted the cashier for the ideal balance to which she suggested medium levels for both. She also mentioned that they only serve pour over as opposed to espresso. For someone who is more sensitive to caffeine, this was actually good news to me, and I was extra pleased to hear that all their "featured creations" can be made decaf. As the barista called customers to grab their drinks, she had them try a sip first to confirm if it met their preferences. For example, if it wasn't sweet enough, she could add more sweetener. I really appreciate that she took the time to ask and this demonstrates how Philz prioritizes customer service. Mine was just right... no adjustments necessary! The ICED MINT MOJITO ($5.65 for medium) was everything I imagined and more. It was smooth with a minty finish and truly blissful down to the last sip. The flavor of the coffee together with the cream and freshness of the mint all melded together in a perfect harmony. Additionally, the amount of ice was just right, unlike other coffee shops I've been to where they fill your cup halfway with ice. This location is in a prime spot at The Americana at Brand shopping center and has a good amount of seating. Delicious drinks but not great for working! I came on a Sunday with my laptop in hopes to get some work done. I'm not sure if it's always like this but it was incredibly busy and I struggled to land a seat! Tables outside were all in the sun without shade so I needed to wait for an inside spot to open up which thankfully happened just as my drink was ready (~12 mins after ordering) The staff was all super friendly and the drink was great- I ordered the 'gingersnap' with light sweetness and it was delightful. Tasted like their take on a PSL but better! The music was bumpin with 2000s RnB and because there were high ceilings and lots of people a lot of echo was happening. The shop has a casual ambiance, and there's plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. I got the small Iced Mint Mojito with creamy and medium sweetness. It was a fragrant and refreshing drink, but the mint flavor was subtle. Also, I think the creamy texture overpowered the sweetness, making it more milky than anticipated. If I were to get this drink again, then I'd get both medium cream and sweetness so I can get more robustness from the coffee. read more

Majority of the time they don't get the order right. 4 out of 5 times the coffee is either too sweet, not sweet enough or just undrinkable. What is the point of the app customization if you're not going to follow it? No other coffee shop has such an inconsistent product from one worker to another. I had waited for 10 minutes before asking someone to check on my order - it turned out the order was ready in the back behind all the in store orders. No one is managing these orders and getting them off the counter.
