Came here when I was at the Americana to see a movie at the AMC and was in dire need of some caffeine. Since my beloved Capital One Cafe sadly closed, I needed a replacement. Thankfully the Ebar was conveniently located in the mall and wasn't too busy at the time. I was greeted by the friendly employee and ordered a mocha latte with oat milk. The up charge for non-dairy milk is always annoying but I've gotten used to it and just appreciate having that option. The latte was made pretty quickly and thankfully there was a table available to thoroughly relax and enjoy it. I loved how creamy and decadent it was and how rich and flavorful the mocha flavor was. It was well balanced and not overly sweet or bitter. It left me feeling great. The ambiance is cozy and it's very clean and well maintained. Parking is easy in the mall's lot. I will definitely return here next time I'm in the area. read more

I came in for a quick coffee and a snack and found that this place is highly underrated! I got a medium cold brew with almond milk and it was fresh and tasty. I also saw a pastry case (which looked delicious) and a fresh food/snack section so I decided to try the pineapple kimchi for a little red freaking snack. Never thought to try this combo but it was the perfect sweet/tart/spicy mix! Lastly the staff were super nice and added a lively vibe to this place. There's good indoor and outdoor seating as well. I ordered a tropical iced tea and they tried to charge me and order me a tropical smoothie. Then I corrected them and he got the order right but never apologized The I'm waiting by the front cash register to put my straw in and the same worker I originally order from said "you need to move and can't stand here." Best unsweetened matcha latte with soy milk ever! Better than even matcha Starbucks or even matcha stores at little Tokyo! A bit pricey but what quality and smoothness! So flavorful so you don't even need to add anything. Piping hot and satisfying. Best ever! read more

After thinking for a few moments, I ordered a Matcha Green Tea for me and a Mocha for my friend. Omg! The drinks were so delicious and refreshing! Btw, matcha is real without any sugar additives - yay! I will definitely go back to try their coffees as well. I never get a good oat milk latte at any of the eBar locations but I keep trying thinking this time it'll be good. It was horrible, pretty much undrinkable. Like can I get some espresso to go with this full cup of oat milk?! On top of that, I had to remind the barista that I also ordered a bottled water. (The cashier should have actually given it to me at the time I paid, but whatever.) The barista didn't trust that I paid for the bottled water and said she 'had to make sure the cashier rang me up for it.' Seriously???? I didn't pay $11 just for a freaking latte. Cashier didn't even remember if he rang me up for it so they had to it look up in the register. They weren't even friendly about it - more accusatory, like I'm trying to get a free bottle of water. Nordstrom needs to hire better people that know what customer service actually is. With so many good people looking for work opportunities, you can definitely hire better people. read more

'Eric' the barista was extremely rude. I had ordered a pomegranate iced tea originally with "no ice" but let the register gal know "light ice" was fine. Once I got my drink it had no ice, so I asked for a small cup of ice. That's when I had a rude encounter and response from 'Eric'. I asked nicely for a small cup to his response he said "what?" So I asked nicely again, to his response he leaned over to his barista friend and said "see, I told you this was coming." He also gave my mom a hard time when asking for a side of honey. I ordered a smoothie, he said it was out. Then he proceeded to turn to his co worker and say "she tried to order a smoothie and I just told her no" and then his co worker said "good yeah" and they started to tell each other "people need to understand that we are at our last hour" suggesting that they aren't going to make any "complicated" drink because it was their last hour. I completely heart this eBar... Everything is made fresh on a daily basis. However, they open at 9am and stock their baked goods, salads, sandwiches, and few other things for the day from open to about noon. That means the later in the day you decide to eat eBar stuff, the lesser the choices (not that I'm decisive to start, but you know). Besides that... I expected so much more from a Nordstrom coffee bar, even if it's on a busy Sunday afternoon. We ordered a Mexican mocha and a lavender chai. The drinks didn't take too long considering the crowd so that wasn't an issue. Unfortunately, the place and the restroom were a mess. So dirty between sticky floors and counters, trash everywhere, and the bathroom was disgusting and out of both toilet paper and paper towels. I just had to wash my hands so I used napkins outside but still, not a good sign. The drinks were meh. The Mocha had a very weird taste and it was muddy. The chai on the other hand was way too milky and had little to no chai and no lavender flavor. read more

My favorite part about this coffee shop is the outdoor seating which is plentiful! It's a great spot to relax and people watch at the Americana. I appreciate the wide variety of items on their menu, they also sell snacks and have free water cups ready to go on a hot day. We got an iced almond milk latte and the espresso was under-extracted resulting in a sour after taste. So I can't recommend the coffee here but the people are nice and it's probably a cheaper spot to get a caffeine fix than other things around the Americana. read more

Okay, they had mostly coffee drinks and only a limited selection of smoothies, but I selected Pomegranate Tropical for $6.65. After waiting for 10min, the employee to actually prepare the order stated that they did not have the ingredients for this (!) - amazing. So he offered a Strawberry-Banana (list price 6.35) instead which I agreed to. However, it would not have incurred the manager to offer a refund. To be honest, I could not care less about 30 cents, but I believe it is a matter of principle of good business practices to develop such an idea spontaneously and not at the rightful reminder of the customer. It seems to be they forget they work for Nordstrom whom we spend thousands upon thousands with a year. They seem to forget this is a customer service business. Nordstrom corporate at this point you should make it a point to adress your team over at this location of the E Bar and maybe properly adress "customer service" I do not suggest anyone to visit this location i def won't ever again. I had an afternoon coffee run and had the Lavender Latte. I wasn't expecting it to be that amazing but it was AMAZING! An OK coffee shop at Americana. It doesn't have the upscale feel of other eBars in nicer locations, owing to the fact that this location is very touristy and people don't pay attention to clean their surroundings. I had a cappuccino with oat milk, which is pretty good and better made than Starbucks (the latter makes cappuccinos my to taste like lattes). Parking is pretty at the Glendale Galleria so go there instead to park and walk over to Americana. Price is higher than Starbucks but comparable to other coffee and tea shops nearby like Laduree. read more

The service is horrible. The lady taking orders is incredibly rude. This is the place I alway go to when I'm shopping in Nordstrom. Today, I was waiting in line and she was taking the order of the person in front of me. I stepped a little to the left to get a better view of the menu but I was still clearly in line. When it was my turn, she asked if I was even in line, urging that there's a line behind me (yea no duh I've been here this whole time!!). She clearly didn't want to take my order and had a nasty attitude, even saying "Fine what do you want." Absolutely ridiculous!! Even the person who was in front of me confirmed I was in line! I left and refused to give them my money. After refusing to buy anything, she has the audacity to say "Okay thank you!" while clapping at me. Awful service. Also, everybody in this situation was white while I am a WOC. I don't want to say that race was a factor in this situation but this lady happened to target me, who is clearly Asian and has an accent. Thankfully, the manager of Nordstrom called to apologize for her behavior. I absolutely love coming here because I love all their drinks. I once ordered a hot chocolate and they not only have one type but a couple of different ones. I think I tried the Mexican hot chocolate and it was so darn good. I love tea and coffee but the other day I was just thirsty and I remembered how good their pomegranate sparkling iced tea was and I ordered one for my husband too. He loves sparkiling water and since we don't drink soda, this kind of does it for us because of the sparkling fizz. He was raving about it and wanted to go get another but by the time we went back it was already closed. Anyhow, try out that iced tea on a hot day and it will be soooo refreshing. I love the location since there are so many things to see while you walk around. Or you can simply bring your little blanket and sit on the grass while your kids run around (if you have any). 5 stars for the coffee. 0 stars for the service. The guy at the register was taking care of an employee purchase for an extended time, while the line grew impatient. When they had finally finished, they kept taking about her evening plans - they'd glance back at the line - no need to end the transaction and tend to customers. I hope he gets a date out of it - I've never heard of handling employee purchases while customers were waiting - it's painfully obvious they don't abide to the Nordstrom customer service ethic and policy - in fact, quite the opposite. This cafe is on the first floor of Nordstroms. The coffee actually isn't bad. I thought it'd be shitty gas station coffee, but it's better than Starbucks (albeit not as good as Coffee Bean). The prices were in line with what you'd expect at this kind of place, and the service was friendly and fast. There's some seating inside, but really you want to sit outside and people watch. Just be careful no one steals your credit cards. Recently these dudes stole some woman's credit cards who was sitting outside at the Cheesecake Factory. One guy put a jacket over her purse while the other stole her cards and used them to buy gift cards at Nodstroms. Be careful, everyone. Sad to see shady shit happening in Glendale, but that's just life. Although I'm not exactly sure how that gift card scam works. I mean, can't Nodstroms just cancel those gift cards? You'd assume every gift card has its own unique number. If they know what credit card was used to buy the gifts cards, can't they just cancel those gift cards? I wonder what the thieves are gonna do with the gift cards. Try to sell them to other people? Use them themselves? I was thinking when someone tried to use the "hot" gift cards, the cashier should pull out a machine gun and shoot them dead. But then my wife pointed out that might not be fair because what if it's not the thief who uses the gift card? Fair enough. So instead take the person to the storage closet and mercilessly beat them with jumper cables until they divulge where they got the gift cards. I hate thieves. read more
