    Croissant with butter & jam.

It's always a nice treat when a Yelp friend comes to town and you get to meet for the first time. The spot...My Café - a charming and picturesque eatery in Glendale. The guest of Honor, Ronnald M from Orlando Fl, is as sweet as the house made desserts in the display case. My lovely gals, Te-See & Rosie, joined us too, which made the gathering more fun. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The entranceway is stunning - marbled floors, a gold staircase, and a gorgeous cascading chandelier.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is a side room that is also lovely and a lounge area upstairs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Monica was our server and she was an absolute delight. (Jordan was also darling.) Our order consisted of Pistachio Toast, Croissant with butter & jam, Honey Cake, "Rafi" Coffee, Chai Latte, Iced Tea, and a glass of Prosecco. The Pistachio Toast was made with charcoal bread topped with a lightly sweetened pistachio spread and fresh strawberries & blueberries. It was tasty. The Honey Cake was like a crepe cake. It was good and not overly sweet. The Prosecco was crisp, light, & refreshing. Before we left, we had a nice chat with the owner, Tony. He was very friendly and told us they were working on opening a location in Florida. That made Ronnald happy. [[HIGHLIGHT]]He also mentioned they have live entertainment on the weekends starting at 7:30 pm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] *Free 90-minute parking in the structure across the street. $2 every hour after.

Okay, so we must talk about the coffee first...The "Coffee Queen" give this place 5/5 for their coffee...Why, you might ask...Well, first of all this is owned by Tony who is Armenian, and one of many things Armenian's are known for is their coffee! Spot on! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Now let's talk about the decor...WOW! Spectacular! As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Jordan. He showed me around as I took in the high ceilings, spacious feel and the huge gorgeous chandelier hanging high above the stairs that led to another dining area where you can reserve it for private events/celebrations:)[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Let's get back to the food! They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner with LIVE Entertainment on the weekends starting around 7:30pm.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The baked goods including the cakes are all made by the staff off the premises. YUM! Dennis made my delicious "Rafi" coffee: Espresso, vanilla, sugar, oat milk. My croissant was very flaky and fresh. The others ordered & shared: *Pistachio Toast - Black charcoal toast with pistachio spread & fresh fruit - 5/5 *Honey Cake - light and tasty, not too sweet - 5/5 *Chai Latte - 5/5 *Iced Tea *Prosecco Our server, Monica, was very sweet and took great care of our group! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Will be back for dinner so I can hear the live music![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] *They are looking to expand to the Miami area , Sunny Isles, Florida. *Parking is FREE for 90 minutes in the lot across from the cafe - then $2 for every hour after that ~ and that's all I have to say about that...

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Place is super clean, and aesthetically pleasing.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I ordered the watermelon salad and the coffee and the fruit was fresh. The only thing is I wish I knew prior that there were time limits at this place. I was only informed after I had ordered my food. I was recommended this place by my Armenian coworker who is a regular at this spot and she was surprised when I texted her after that there was a time limit. I did bring my laptop with me because I didn't want to leave it inside the hot car and used it for a few mins so unsure if that made a difference in information. There needs to be a sign unless I missed it.

We stopped by for coffee, smoothies, and pastries, and everything we ordered was delicious. The pastries were fresh, the smoothies were great, and the coffee was the highlight of my visit. I ordered a coffee with two shots of espresso, and it absolutely hit the spot. You can tell they use high-quality coffee beans. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The shop was clean, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]They also have a hookah area for those who enjoy it, which adds a unique touch.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Their menu offers a good variety of options, so there's something for everyone. Overall, a great place to relax, enjoy a quality cup of coffee, and grab something tasty to eat. I'll definitely be back.

We started with the French fries and the portion was good. They were golden, crispy, fresh, and paired well with their really good ketchup. My wife ordered the tiramisu latte and said it was delicious. We also tried the Italian pizza topped with arugula, burrata, and prosciutto. The ingredients tasted fresh and high quality. Personally, there was a little too much arugula for my taste, but it was still really good overall. The absolute star of the meal was the spicy chicken sandwich. One of the owners even came up and told us he eats it every day, and after trying it, I completely understand why. The bread was toasted perfectly, the chicken was tender, juicy, and flavorful, and the melted cheese brought everything together. It reminded me of an amazing buffalo chicken sandwich. Easily the best thing we ordered, and honestly, I'd eat that sandwich every day if I could. We also finished with the bird milk cake, which was really tasty and a great dessert to end the meal!

As much as I want to love these luxury-looking spots in Glendale and give them a fair chance, I end up regretting it every time. My friend and I stopped in for a simple coffee, she ordered an Armenian coffee and I asked for an espresso. The staff speaks Armenian to you regardless of your preference, which is fine, but just something to note. I grabbed a bottled water and asked for two glasses. Unfortunately, my espresso was extremely sour and clearly not made correctly, and both water glasses had a strong egg-like smell that made the water undrinkable. When it came time to pay, I noticed there was already a credit-card fee added, so I chose to leave a cash tip instead. I skipped the tip option on the machine because I had cash in my hand, but the gentleman ringing me up, who seemed to be the owner or manager, actually asked why I skipped the tip. I explained that I was tipping in cash and also shared what happened with the glasses. He insisted I was wrong and said it was impossible because they "use four types of chemicals" to wash them. I asked him to check the glasses still on our table; he said he would but then walked away and ignored it entirely. This is the second time I've experienced rude service and overpriced food here. I truly want to support local Glendale businesses, but experiences like this leave me no choice but to leave an honest review.

Service was excellent, food was average, [[HIGHLIGHT]]ambiance was rich and posthumous.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Its is not the type of café to lounge at...even though its name says otherwise. After an hour ordering food and coffee, I was asked to leave.

It was such a vibe here! And all of the desserts we got were delicious! Honestly I think it's a great option to catch up and meet with friends, family or even for a business talk! Only thing to note is it is a little pricey but you get what you pay for! The atmosphere is wonderful and everything was yummy!

I love this cafe. First of all it is a cafe in Glendale that is open late and this is So rare ! And always , it is busy . The staff , they speak English Armenian and Russian and I think Spanish so it is comfortable environment for me . My favorite is their fancy lattes like tiramisu latte , ferrero rocher latte , etc . They have delicious desserts . Honestly it is kind of expensive , but worth it to me because I love to come by myself or when I have to study for exams , and everyone is so nice . Last time they treated me to a free item so I left very happy

I came here at night with a friend. I usually love crepes but I was trying not to indulge too much and eat on the healthier side. The crepe I had wanted was $15 but I'm lactose intolerant so I couldn't eat the inside. The waitress suggested I take the filling out and get berries instead. From the way she suggested this, it sounded like a substitution. When I finally got my bill I was charged $18.72 for the crepe. I just think it's sad that they aren't very accommodating here. While I think the waitress was trying to be helpful, I ended up with an empty crepe topped with berries. I think this is a lesson learned though. I think next time I'll be venturing off to Crave lounge where I will get my fill.

I've been coming here since day one, and I can honestly say this place has been consistently outstanding. From the very beginning, you could tell this wasn't just another café trying to blend in. The quality, the consistency, and the attention to detail have been there from the start and somehow keep getting even better. Every visit feels intentional, from the way the drinks are made to how the desserts are presented. The coffee is always on point. Smooth, rich, and actually tastes like someone cares about what they're serving. Same with the food. Whether it's pastries, desserts, or anything else on the menu, everything tastes fresh, balanced, and well thought out. Nothing feels generic. What really sets this place apart though is the experience. The atmosphere is clean, inviting, and just the right mix of modern and comfortable. You can sit down, relax, get work done, or meet people, and it always feels right. And a big part of that is the ownership. Tigran and Ani are always there, present, hands-on, and genuinely care. They check in with customers, ask if everything is right, and make sure you're taken care of. That kind of personal attention is rare, and you feel it every time you walk in. On weekends, they take it even further with live music. Right now there's a sax player performing, and it completely elevates the vibe. It's not loud or overwhelming, just the perfect background that makes you want to stay longer and enjoy the moment. I've seen a lot of places open strong and fade. This one did the opposite. It started great and kept raising the bar. If you're in Glendale and haven't been here yet, you're missing out. And if you have been, you already know exactly what I'm talking about. This is how a café should be done.

Lovely, old fashioned diner with exposed brick walls, distressed furniture and a mix of old and new American decor. Very comfortable and homey. The best part was the food though. The chef doesn't know it's a diner apparently. I had a lovely chicken piccata that was superb! The only thing I didn't do was lick the plate clean, it was so good. Fare you'd expect from a nice Italian bistro. They have a devil's den full of desserts they make, too. I had a banana cream pie that was ridiculously good, along with an excellent coffee. They have a full coffee bar as well as the dessert bar. Service was terrific and the pricing was moderate for the quality. Breakfast, lunch and dinner with a large menu filled with American comfort food favorites. We have a ballgame to go to mid August. We are going to eat early dinner here before the game. Cannot wait to try their chicken pot pie!

If you go during the breakfast/brunch rush on the weekends, def take a few deep breaths as there can be a wait. Often, the patio fills up quite quickly. But sometimes it's just the luck of arriving at the perfect moment. As far as the entrees are concerned, I particularly like the Chile Stuffed Skillet when I'm craving a savory breakfast meal. It's made with a pasilla pepper stuffed with bacon, cheddar, and a poached egg. It's baked it in an iron skillet on top of potatoes, and it's topped off with ranchera sauce and sour cream. And let me tell ya, those house-made biscuits are amazing. Warm, crumbly, and melt in your mouth like a good biscuit should. The house-made jams are also a nice treat and feel like having a sample of grandma's (or mom's) kitchen. On of my visits, a friend ordered the Banana Bread French Toast, and it made me wish I had two stomachs so that I could eat that as well. But like a good friend, she noticed that I was eyeing her breakfast like a puppy dog begging from scraps. So she was gracious enough to split some and do a trade with one of my biscuits. I think the trade was quite fair. Next time, we agreed to go halfsies on the Corn Flake Crusted French Toast because they're really exceptional, and the Morning Quiche (which is only served on the weekends).

Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café…read more Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café reminded me that we live for the wonderful experiences that remain to be discovered. After a wonderful lunch date with my wife at Raffi's Place (please read my review and thank me later) in Glendale, I decided to look for the perfect dessert. After scouting several nearby locations, I decided I was in the mood for a great cinnamon roll. Sweet Demi Lune Bakery & Café looked like the place that would deliver the experience I was seeking. SDLBC is listed as being in Glendale, but it's located in the historic Old Town of Montrose. That's beside the point; I only mention it because there are additional places to explore just up the street. We arrived around 3:00 p.m. on a Saturday, and there wasn't much of a selection left, including the highly sought-after cinnamon roll. The gentleman behind the counter greeted us warmly, and I immediately asked if that was all the pastries they had. He said yes. I contemplated leaving because of the nonexistent cinnamon roll, but I didn't want to be rude, so I decided to give the bakery a try since we were already there. So, we basically took half of what remained behind the glass display case: a Peach Almond Croissant, a Raspberry Pistachio Croissant, an Almond Croissant, and then my curiosity focused on a few lonely-looking pastries that were unfamiliar to my discerning eyes. I asked the gentleman what they were, and he replied with something that sounded completely foreign to me: Kouign-Amann. Kouign-Amann (pronounced queen ah-MAHN) is a traditional pastry from the region of Brittany, France. It is often considered one of the richest pastries in the world because it is made with just a few simple ingredients in generous proportions: bread dough, butter, and sugar. Figuring we needed a few more sweets for the road, we took all the remaining Kouign-Amanns. Two were the traditional version, and the other two were filled with crème and blueberry jam. We also ordered a Café Americano and a Café Mocha. While we waited for our drinks, I simply couldn't wait any longer. Like a kid on Christmas morning, I eagerly opened my gift and dug right into the Kouign-Amann. Hesitantly, I tore off a tiny piece with my fingers, expecting nothing extraordinary, and instantly gave birth to a brand-new experience that exploded in my mouth. The crisp exterior gave way to the soft, flaky center, followed by waves of what tasted like delicate honey. I tore off another piece and shared it with my wife. One look at her eyes told me she wanted more. By the time our drinks were ready, we had devoured one of the Kouign-Amanns and confessed to the gentleman behind the counter that we had just experienced pure ecstasy in the form of a pastry. Kouign-Amann is, in fact, one of the richest pastries in the world, so don't let the unfamiliar name keep you from trying one. The Café Americano and the Café Mocha were also exceptionally well prepared. With everything that's happening in the world these days, a simple yet profound experience like this reminded me how wonderful life can still be. Like Arnold said... "I'll be back." Enjoy!

It tastes almost like there's something not just lavender that I'm not sure what it is but whatever it is it's gooood. If it's just lavender it's good lavender. It was 8.50$ at the time I went which is pricier than I might usually buy, but nowadays that seems to be a normal price (rip my wallet) I also got a LAHMAJUN (copy pasted from menu so I don't misspell it) and it was also very good and tasty and filling. It was 13.50$ which felt worth it for the amount of food it was. The service is great and very nice. I tried to open the door for one of the servers but then he opened the other door and insisted I walk first which is very nice as someone who has not once but twice accidentally gotten into the loop of standing and just holding the door out of not exactly understanding politeness etiquette. ALSO the ambiance is epic. I appreciate the decor especially the women's rights and wrongs poster. It's very colorful and pink in the best way possible. I can tell someone very cool has decorated this cafe. The plates are also nice I feel my if my mom were here she'd mention that the plates and cutlery are pretty. I got street parking in a nearby neighborhood. And there is indeed WiFi (with a fun passcode hehhhh) I went here to do work and wait after I dropped my sibling off at the eye doctors and I'm glad I did. Because although I woke up earlier than I usually do to do this and I abhor waking up mildly early, I think this cafe was worth it. (And also for driving my sibling I guess ) Otherwise I'd probably be asleep and not enjoying this very good latte and food. Also I like the pun for the name. very cool pun ‍‍‍‍ I forgot I could put emojis in yelp review until near the end haha oops

After the Rose Bowl, my mother suggested we try Pepe's in Montrose. She swears the Mexican food…read morehere is amazing. Walking inside, the restaurant had a beautiful hacienda-style atmosphere with comfortable seating. We arrived right when they opened, so it wasn't busy. The dining room was very clean, and the restrooms were spotless as well. I ordered the combo plate with two items: a chile relleno and a shredded beef enchilada with red sauce, served with rice and beans. The chile relleno was perfection! I loved that it was fluffy, not greasy, and incredibly flavorful. As for the enchilada, I really enjoyed the shredded beef. The red sauce wasn't very spicy, which I prefer. I love a flavorful enchilada sauce without too much heat. Some restaurants make their sauce overly spicy, but this one was just perfect. The rice and beans were also excellent. The rice was soft and fluffy, not dry or hard, and the beans were well-seasoned without being overly salty like they are at many other restaurants. I truly enjoyed every bite of my meal. My best friend ordered the combination plate with one item: a shrimp enchilada with green sauce, served with rice and beans. She absolutely loved her meal and already wants to come back. We also enjoyed the complimentary chips and salsa, and we heard they make great margaritas too. My mother ordered the large bowl of menudo, which came with lime, onions, and cilantro. She said it was delicious and not overly salty. She also swears they have the best Taco Tuesday specials, and they're available all day. The service was excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome. I will definitely be coming back and bringing the rest of my family to try this place. Highly recommended!

Perhaps the person taking phone orders should speak enough Spanish to know what Menudo and…read moreArrachera are. Or at least know what's on the menu. Ordered takeout today and literally had to spell out "Menudo" to the girl taking our order. Picked up the order...then get a call in the parking lot that they forgot to pack half of our food. Go back and start double checking everything before I leave and realize she also didn't know the difference between Arrachera and Ranchero. Instead of comping for the multiple mistakes, we ended up having to pay the difference while waiting for the correction. Used to come here a ton as a family but gooooooodddnneeessss this might be the last time.

The service was outstanding; they refilled said chips and AMAZING salsa three times. The food (generous portions) came our quickly and they refilled the waters before being asked. What can you make vegan? I asked, since the menu didn't mention anything specifically. The waiter, unbothered, began listing what they could make me but I stopped him pretty quickly at enchiladas. They ended up being good but the star of the plate was their vegan rice; it was clearly different from what all the meat eaters got on their plates. There's was yellow/orange, but mine was green and fragrant- cilantro and lime clearly central in the cooking. SO GOOD! I will definitely come back for the service and to try something else from the ready list of vegan entrees they seemed happy to offer off-menu.

Very attentive, patient with our decent-sized party, and very professional and friendly the entire time. He makes an amazing margarita and gave us great food recommendations as well. He also handled all of our party shenanigans with friendliness and good humor, which definitely did not go unnoticed. Huge thank you to Javier and all of the staff for making our experience so wonderful. We'll absolutely be back again!
