Had lunch here with my son earlier today. The food was wonderful so was the coffee. The chicken sando was so flavorful and delicious I'll order it again. The beef sando was good as well, good size delicious. We didn't like the fries. The texture wasn't good. The iced latte was delicious and will be back to try other drinks. Customer service was somewhat unfriendly but not horrible. It's a very small spot so plan accordingly. The tables are good for two people max. Overall a good spot to have breakfast or lunch or delicious coffee ...I'll be back again. read more

First time trying this place and we loved their coffee! We got the basque latte and cinnamon date latte with whole milk, half sweet. Their creme top is delicious and both drinks have a nice flavor - very creamy and smooth. We also ordered their tartlette box with a variety of tarts (ours were white chocolate and berry) and they were a nice sweet little treat. They seemed to have a nice selection of food and other interesting drinks so we'll have to be back to try more! I placed our order for pickup so we didn't have to wait too long but it was pretty busy inside. We'll be back soon :) read more

I think I just found my new favorite coffee spot. Walking in I felt so welcomed the place is so beautifully decorated and aesthetically pleasing the workers were also friendly and kind. They walk me through the menu and were very helpful. After browsing the menu a little bit I decided to go with the banana, Matcha, cinnamon dip, latte, and café 2 latte. I also got a freshly squeezed orange juice on the side. I've never had something so delicious as a banana Matcha. It was so unique and the Matcha was so creamy, especially with the cold foam on top. The cinnamon date latte was just perfection. Perfectly balanced between sweet and creamy, and a regular café latte was again very delicious. I will definitely be back again soon for that banana Matcha. read more

Although Esso is such a cute cafe, I was unfortunately disappointed by the drinks. I tried their Basque Latte, which didn't taste anything like a Spanish latte. It just tasted like a plain latte with no flavor. Their cream top did make the drink better, but not by much. My friend also got the Matcha Squared and didn't like the drink either. It's a great location with cute vibes and nice staff, but their drinks just did not match up. read more

I am solely reviewing the coffee since I did not try the food. I like my coffee strong, so I added an extra shot to the caffe squared, which is already supposed to have a double shot with espresso creme top, and it tasted like milk. Paying upwards of $8 for a milky coffee is simply not worth it for me, but if you like subtle coffee this is the place for you. read more

so many better options in the area unfortunately. The coffee here is not the best and their signature cold foam has chunks in it and is really unpleasant. Ive been here a couple of times to give them the benefit of the doubt but the cold foam still has that problem making it almost undrinkable. i do really love the employees here though. the girls that work the front are extremely lovely and were the reason i kept giving this place more chances. though since this place is fairly new i may have to try it again in the future. read more

Noticed one evening that they had opened this new cafe, but since they were already closed, decided that I would try them the following day and I'm glad I did. The place is super cute, with that very popular minimalistic look to it, which I feel for a more quiet, calm place it definitely works. Got their iced matcha which was actually really good, not too sweet, it was definitely more on the stronger side which I personally prefer, and I also tried their mini raspberry tarts which was actually really good. Service was great too. I ended up chatting a bit with the barista that helped me, Joelle(I hope I'm spelling her name correctly) and she was a sweetheart. As someone who is a chatty patty I do enjoy getting to know people. I'll definitely be back, they do hate other drinks as well and some food that looked really good. Definitely stop by and try one of their drinks. read more

That day, the only food my child ate outside our home was a yogurt from this place. What immediately concerned me was that the yogurt packaging had no ingredient list and no expiration date, which made it impossible to verify its freshness or contents. Everything else he ate was homemade food from our house, and every other family member ate the exact same food without any issues. About two hours after eating the yogurt, he suddenly started vomiting. In his entire life, he had never vomited before. Given the lack of labeling and the fact that the yogurt may not have been fresh, I became worried about its quality and safety. I'm not accusing anyone, but the timing and the missing information on the packaging make it seem very likely that this was my child's first case of food poisoning. read more

What a fantastic find! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm, friendly service and a welcoming atmosphere that made me want to stay there all afternoon. The café has the perfect balance of cozy and modern, with a relaxing green vibe that's great for hangin with friends or enjoying a quiet break. The coffee was excellent, much better than most places; rich, smooth, and clearly made with care. I also tried a few sweets, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. You can tell the staff takes pride in both the quality of the food and the overall customer experience. What really stood out was the attention to detail. The space was clean, comfortable, and well designed, and the team went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome. It's the kind of place that turns first-time visitors into regulars, I've come here daily. Highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area. Had a great experience at this new family-owned spot and I'm really rooting for them. The mascarpone latte was smooth and well-balanced with a nice, mild coffee flavor, and while the banana matcha wasn't my favorite, it was still enjoyable and likely just needed a bit more blending with the foam. The waffle sticks leaned soft rather than crispy, paired with a light and sweet Nutella syrup that worked well overall. The real standout was the breakfast sandwich super soft bread, packed with flavor, and a sauce with a subtle jalapeño kick that brought everything together perfectly. This is clearly a made-to-order, mom-and-pop kind of place so don't come in expecting fast food timing. Seating is limited with just a couple tables inside and out so you may end up taking your food to go. That said, it's a really nice spot to grab a coffee, take a walk, or sit and chat for a bit. Excited to see this place grow it's a strong addition to the area and definitely worth checking out. read more

I ended up with a house coffee and a jalapeño cheddar bagel. The coffee is ok although I think their specialty coffee drinks are a little better. Can't go wrong with a bagel and cream cheese. I notice they now have a sign where you can only work on a laptop for an hour (I've worked on a laptop there in the past and stayed for2 but I don't think it was a rule back then). With that said, this is a nice place to grab a light bite and read or chat with a friend while there.

Probably the best coffee I have ever had...I am surprised to see some people gave bad reviews to this amazing coffee shop but I guess this is yelp and most of the yelp users are people who always complain. We have tried their banana latte and matcha banana latte, it was amazing, very kind people, professional service and pleasant environment. The only thing that bothered me was the size of the sitting area, I wish they leased a bigger space with spacious sitting area! But I am sure they will expand very soon! Love! read more

Looking for a cute, cozy, and delicious coffee spot? Look no further! I stumbled upon this place about a month ago while waiting next door for my son's haircut, and it was the perfect excuse to grab a coffee. My go-to is always an iced latte, and this one did not disappoint -- smooth, refreshing, and absolutely delicious. I'll definitely be back for more coffee and can't wait to try their food menu next time read more

Esso is such an amazing place, would absolutely recommend to everyone. The service was top tier and the atmosphere was very cozy and clean. Cashiers seemed great and showed absolutely no attitude. The food was delicious, and not to mention the amazing classic matcha which tasted so good. Perfect place for a little break, a must visit at Glendale! read more

My new favorite food and matcha spot in Glendale. Staff are super nice, and the interior was well-decorated and clean. Would highly recommend the beef sandwich and breakfast sliders, but the rest of the menu looks equally as good. Can't wait to try everything :) read more

The decor inside was really nice, gave very Aztec vibes. I ordered an iced Banana Oat Latte and unfortunately it wasn't the best. It wasn't even really a hot day but when I picked up my drink, it was warm probably from the espresso but also didn't have much ice so by the time I walked out of the coffee shop and take my pic, the ice was basically all gone. Walking back to the mall, it didn't last long at all. The drink was so warm and not cold whatsoever. The ice didn't do anything and it was very disappointing. The banana flavor also didn't tase that great, almost too artificial? I think it might be okay if there was more ice honestly. I also made sure to continue mixing it while I drank it, seemed to help tolerate it. IG: @ammysalamii

Which i was okay with both because i have a hotspot and I understand they have prime location so their goods are going to be over priced. But the thing that really deterred me was the enforced time limit. This place has a 45 min time limit for people who only order small orders. 90 min time limit for normal restaurant orders. Also the only table that they were able to offer me was the small one next to the door so wasn't really able to really appreciate the rest of the "cafe" as seen in the photos. They told me that they are more of a restaurant than a cafe. So the name "Cafe and Lounge" was very deceiving to me, definitely not the typical type of cafe you would think of. Got the vibe that they definitely don't want solo parties here. DONT come here expecting to study or relax solo. It's more meant for big parties and groups looking to chat it up.
