First time trying this place and we loved their coffee! We got the basque latte and cinnamon date latte with whole milk, half sweet. Their creme top is delicious and both drinks have a nice flavor - very creamy and smooth. We also ordered their tartlette box with a variety of tarts (ours were white chocolate and berry) and they were a nice sweet little treat. They seemed to have a nice selection of food and other interesting drinks so we'll have to be back to try more! Although Esso is such a cute cafe, I was unfortunately disappointed by the drinks. I tried their Basque Latte, which didn't taste anything like a Spanish latte. It just tasted like a plain latte with no flavor. Their cream top did make the drink better, but not by much. My friend also got the Matcha Squared and didn't like the drink either. It's a great location with cute vibes and nice staff, but their drinks just did not match up. read more

That day, the only food my child ate outside our home was a yogurt from this place. What immediately concerned me was that the yogurt packaging had no ingredient list and no expiration date, which made it impossible to verify its freshness or contents. Everything else he ate was homemade food from our house, and every other family member ate the exact same food without any issues. About two hours after eating the yogurt, he suddenly started vomiting. In his entire life, he had never vomited before. Given the lack of labeling and the fact that the yogurt may not have been fresh, I became worried about its quality and safety. I'm not accusing anyone, but the timing and the missing information on the packaging make it seem very likely that this was my child's first case of food poisoning. read more

Had lunch here with my son earlier today. The food was wonderful so was the coffee. The chicken sando was so flavorful and delicious I'll order it again. The beef sando was good as well, good size delicious. We didn't like the fries. The texture wasn't good. The iced latte was delicious and will be back to try other drinks. Customer service was somewhat unfriendly but not horrible. It's a very small spot so plan accordingly. The tables are good for two people max. I like my coffee strong, so I added an extra shot to the caffe squared, which is already supposed to have a double shot with espresso creme top, and it tasted like milk. I think I just found my new favorite coffee spot. Walking in I felt so welcomed the place is so beautifully decorated and aesthetically pleasing the workers were also friendly and kind. They walk me through the menu and were very helpful. After browsing the menu a little bit I decided to go with the banana, Matcha, cinnamon dip, latte, and café 2 latte. I also got a freshly squeezed orange juice on the side. I've never had something so delicious as a banana Matcha. It was so unique and the Matcha was so creamy, especially with the cold foam on top. The cinnamon date latte was just perfection. Perfectly balanced between sweet and creamy, and a regular café latte was again very delicious. so many better options in the area unfortunately. The coffee here is not the best and their signature cold foam has chunks in it and is really unpleasant. Ive been here a couple of times to give them the benefit of the doubt but the cold foam still has that problem making it almost undrinkable. i do really love the employees here though. the girls that work the front are extremely lovely and were the reason i kept giving this place more chances. though since this place is fairly new i may have to try it again in the future. read more

Noticed one evening that they had opened this new cafe, but since they were already closed, decided that I would try them the following day and I'm glad I did. The place is super cute, with that very popular minimalistic look to it, which I feel for a more quiet, calm place it definitely works. Got their iced matcha which was actually really good, not too sweet, it was definitely more on the stronger side which I personally prefer, and I also tried their mini raspberry tarts which was actually really good. Service was great too. I ended up chatting a bit with the barista that helped me, Joelle(I hope I'm spelling her name correctly) and she was a sweetheart. As someone who is a chatty patty I do enjoy getting to know people. I'll definitely be back, they do hate other drinks as well and some food that looked really good.
