Vanilla cream top matcha on the left Einspanner matcha on the right
Maansi S.

4.5 I got the vanilla cream top matcha and it was pretty good! The staff were also really nice. There's limited seating with tables outside so I wouldn't recommend this spot to read, WFH or journal. It's a great place for a pick up and go! Also, the wait time for your drink will likely be a while. I probably waited 15-20 minutes for my order but I didn't mind the wait. I'll definitely head back to try out more of their drinks ^_^

Iced latte

It's a new coffee shop right next to Papa's Meat. I stopped by to get an iced coffee as a midday pick me up. They don't serve cold brew so I got an iced latte. The coffee tasted amazing but I do wish he used a bit less milk. They serve coffee drinks and matcha as well. Next time I'll try one of their specialty drinks. The customer service was great, friendly and welcoming. They have a few tables & chairs outside in case you want to stay and enjoy your coffee here but looks like most people get it to go. Overall a great new addition to this area for coffee lovers.

I truly love supporting new/small businesses but this one was rough. We got there and realized it's mostly street/residential parking. I could've parked right up front but some guy and his big truck took up two spots and had so much room to move up for another car but didn't. We opted for parking around the corner in residential, already full but had to squeeze into a spot, luckily. We walked in, super busy inside. All the seats were taken and some people were standing around waiting for their drinks while another two were waiting to order their drinks ahead of us. Super tiny and cramped inside, I assumed people were just hanging out and not actually waiting for their drinks (the ones sitting and chatting) so we didn't think of the timing at all. We went to this spot since it was nearby our lunch plans. Probably took about 15-20 minutes for us to actually finally order our single iced cookie butter latte. There's only one worker which is the owner. He seemed to be scrambling and running in and out to deliver the drinks, I felt bad, clearly the help is needed. I still ordered my drink and proceeded to stand by the door and wait. More people walked in and waited to order, some walked out because it just took too long. 40 minutes later, still waiting for my drink. I have incredible patience, clearly! Someone walked in to order their drink, waited 10 minutes and proceeded to ask where her drink was because she was "running late". The owner asked what her order was and made it immediately AHEAD of everyone else, me included. Is that the trick? Maybe. It was infuriating honestly. I kept waiting and he then asked if I wanted a complimentary pastry and apologized for the wait. I opted for the cookie which was nice warmed up but also stuck in a paper bag and super messy and difficult to eat. A whole hour later, I finally get my drink. Pretty for photos but that's all it is. It could've been a little stronger, it almost tasted watered down and the cookie butter flavor wasn't great (had a weird fishy taste, oddly enough). Did I come at a bad time? Maybe? It was a weekend around noon so you would think some help or backup would occur. Customers should not be waiting an hour for a single drink and most certainly not at that price for the quality. The coffee business is booming and I think more help is definitely needed for this. IG: @ammysalamii

Strawberry Matcha

First time visitng Brothers and got the Strawberry Matcha. Overall the drink was good, I just wished that the strawberry was a puree rather than sauce/ drizzle consistency. Parking can be found on neighboring streets.

Introducing Burbank's newest coffee place - Brothers Coffee! We stopped by Brothers Coffee on our way up the interstate 5 for a refreshing matcha drink. Upon entering the store, there was a mysterious maroon cave dungeon vibe giving it its allure. The shop owner was very friendly and made us feel very welcome! My husband ordered the strawberry matcha with oat milk sub which featured a homemade strawberry jam and is characterized as more refreshing. I ordered the banana cream top matcha which featured a pump of Binggrae's banana flavored milk and is characterized as more sweet and rich. Both drinks were topped with a well-made matcha and freeze dried fruits for decoration. Overall, the drinks were quite tasty and we would come back again!

Einspanner iced latte

I've been waiting for a coffee shop that stays open past 5pm, and I'm so happy this one is just down the street from my house! I'm not usually a fan of sweet coffee drinks, but I've tried a few here and they're honestly delicious. The banana matcha with cream top and the cookie butter latte (both iced) are really tasty--just a bit too sweet for me. Luckily, my boyfriend has a serious sweet tooth, so those are right up his alley. You can also adjust how sweet you want the drink as well. My personal go-to is the einspanner latte with no sweetener--simple, bold, and consistently perfect every time. Yes, it's a small space with one barista (the owner who is so friendly), so naturally, things take a little time. But what do you expect? It's a one-person show, and the care that goes into every cup is worth the wait. Don't say you weren't warned--just go, be patient, and enjoy the COFFEE. If I like the coffee, idc how long I'm waiting Parking is a little tight, but I've never had to walk more than a couple hundred feet. With other restaurants and shops nearby, that's just part of the traffic flow. Honestly, it's never been an issue for me I love the simplicity, the vibe, and above all, the quality. I haven't found another spot around here that makes einspanners, so I'm thrilled to have this little gem in the neighborhood. Definitely my go-to coffee shop from now on!

I really wanted to like Brothers Coffee LA--small local shop, close to home, and I know they're just getting started. But I'm giving it 3 out of 5 stars (generously), and here's why. I placed my order around 10:30 a.m. and waited 34 minutes for a single coffee. The guy at the front was nice at first and did give a heads-up that there might be a wait, but 30+ minutes at a coffee shop is wild. I understand he was working solo and seemed a bit slow, but time is money, and that's a serious chunk of the morning gone for just one drink. What rubbed me the wrong way more than the wait was the attitude. When he called out the drink, I asked if it was mine since anyone else could have ordered it and I didn't want to take others drinks. His response? "Well, did you order it?"--like I was bothering him. I get it, but with 10 people waiting, there's an easy fix: take names with orders. Makes the whole process smoother and avoids confusion. Parking is just street parking from what I saw. The space itself is clean, new, and has a nice minimal vibe. A few seats inside, maybe four tables outside. The coffee? Actually pretty solid. I got it the Einspanner with foam top at 50% sweetness and it was still on the sweet side, so maybe throw in an extra shot if you're into stronger coffee. I'll probably give them another shot down the line--maybe in 2-4 months once they've got their rhythm. For now, just not worth the long wait.

They're crunchy something coffee! So good!

Tastiest coffees ever! Hope they open back up soon! They opened briefly then closed to remodel.. so I have no idea when they are going to re-open!

Banana matcha
Hunni B.

Their banana matcha had potential, they use wayyy too much matcha though. I noticed a lot of coffee shops that's started carrying matcha over do it and don't realize that too much matcha powder is a bad thing and not even that great for people to ingest at that amount. I constantly have to ask them to use half matcha and it's still a lot sometimes.

Einspanner latte

Gave this place a try and let me tell you..it did not disappoint. The einspanner latte that I ordered is once of the best ones I've had. Will definitely be going back.

Dope coffee and tea(I tried their einspanner and matcha) and great owner + staff, there's some seating inside and outside and highly recommend if you're in the area!

Stopped by for the grand opening today and tried their cappuccino. This is my test for new spots haha and I must say it was really good. Whatever coffee they use is really amazing. They're really nice workers as well. Small little place but it's great having a coffee joint walking distance to residential place. Looking forward to trying it again.

The main thing that stands out here is their 1987 coffee roaster which is the center piece of the cafe. They roast various single origin beans on a daily basis, so you know you can purchase some fresh coffee beans here. If you need your beans grounded, they do grind it for you depending on your brewing method. They have beans of light roast, medium roast and dark roast and sell by various weights for a very reasonable price. They also sell various tea leaves, baked goods (croissant, muffin, scones, bagel, Danish, coffee cake, Dessert Therapy cookies, and merchs. They also have a seasonable menu that changes. When I went, it was the Sakura season menu. Staff were all friendly and were very willing to answer any questions regarding the menu. Please note, the base coffee blend for each day varies and rotates on a daily basis For my visit, I tried ... 1. Buttered Coffee (4.5/5) The base coffee for the day was the Peru single origin, which was well-balanced; slightly sweet with a hint of tartness and nuttiness. They then add a chunk of butter into the coffee, which helps cut some of the acidity, but also is supposed to enhance the caffeine effect and give you additional energy from the fat. It does leave a layer of fat/oiliness so if you are not a fan of that, then this may not be for you. The butter did give it a subtle buttery flavor, which I personally liked. 2. Matcha with Sakura Cold Foam (4/5) The matcha was blended smoothly and was not grassy at all. The Sakura cold foam didn't really taste like Sakura (been to Japan, so know what real Sakura flavor should taste like), but instead, just tasted floral. 3. Columbia Supremo Whole Beans Full body and aromatic. Good for those who like to drink black coffee 4. Guatemala Huehuetenango Whole Beans: Crisp, acidic and a hint of nuttiness Glad I found this local roaster where I'll definitely be coming back to get some more fresh beans.

She was genuinely engaged in talking about coffee, understood the beans she was serving, and was able to answer questions without hesitation. That's becoming harder to find these days, and it definitely added to the overall experience. The cortado itself was well executed. The temperature was right where it should be, allowing the flavors to come through immediately without having to wait for the drink to cool down. I was able to clearly taste the notes in the coffee, and the balance between the espresso and milk was excellent. The body held together nicely throughout the drink and never felt thin or watered down. My only critique would be that the crema and microfoam leaned a little more matte and foamy than glossy. It wasn't enough to take away from the drink, but a slightly silkier, shinier texture would have elevated it even further. That said, this was an Ethiopian natural, which can be a bit trickier to dial in and pair with milk while still preserving the character of the coffee, so it's a fairly minor criticism. Overall, a very good cortado from a shop that clearly cares about coffee. Good execution, proper temperature, clear flavor separation, and knowledgeable staff always make for a better coffee experience.
