I was promptly greeted by a kind gentleman behind the register. His name, regrettably, remains unknown to me. A mysterious figure. A guardian of the bean, if you will. I elected to order my usual: an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. Humble? Yes. Simple? Certainly. But simplicity, when executed correctly, is one of life's greatest demonstrations of excellence. My beverage arrived approximately 3.5 milliseconds later. I was stunned. Already? Speculation began circulating within my mind. Suspicion mounted. Questions arose. Could something produced at such tremendous velocity truly possess quality? I raised the cup. I took my first sip. Gentle reader... my third eye opened. The latte was magnificent. Smooth, flavorful, refreshing, and precisely what a gentleman undertaking a high-stakes morning delivery required. Any doubts I previously harbored vanished instantaneously. I was humbled. Stopped by Reborn Coffee on a Sunday morning. First time at Reborn Coffee and we were just driving by and noticed it. The coffee shop is a good size with many tables available for seating inside. It has huge windows so it's nice that the natural light shines through. Really welcoming vibe and excellent customer service. During this visit we ordered the Coconut Mocha Latte and Honey Hojicha Latte. Both lattes were delicious and hot, freshly made and brewed just how I like them. The coconut and mocha were a perfect blend. It wasn't too sweet and the espresso balanced out the taste of the coconut and mocha. The Honey Hojicha is also on point as it's not too sweet. The honey didn't over power the taste of espresso. We can't wait to come back and try other coffee drinks on Reborn Coffee's menu. read more

Have you ever gone to a pastry shop such as William Greenberg's Desserts in NY, NY that has a time-honored tradition of using the same recipe for generations for their beloved chocolate cake or cheesecake? Well this place ISN'T Greenbergs! I enjoyed for weeks their raspberry muffins only to have their store pull it off their shelf saying I was the only customer who liked it. Next came their bacon burritos, which were delicious and popular. Then of course the store told me last week that they won't carry them anymore. A good way to lose a loyal custome, but here the preferences of the loyal customers apparently don't warrant that much consideration. As for the coffee, it is served in paper cups that quickly dissipate the heat so that by the time you finish a cup, it is ice cold. And they refuse to reheat it. No longer recommend. read more

Ok so my recent visit was a complete 180 from my last visit. The white guy who took my order ... he looks angry all the time and does NOT smile. He has dirty blonde hair and has a tattoo on his forearm. Barely made eye contact with me or the customers... Did not print my order so the order didn't even make it to the barista. So I waited a long time for my drink and a nice woman behind the counter took my order instead after waiting longer than i should have. He probably got salty about me not giving tip because the drink was $8 flat so he didn't print the receipt of my order. Terrible look for Reborn. Cute little coffee shop in la crescenta area, opens till 7pm. We got a chai latte and a matcha, chai was pretty good, it had a good chai flavor without it being too sweet. The matcha was whatever, it didn't have that deep matcha flavor that I wanted. The service is really good, the girl was very patient and polite with us, we came 10 mins before closing time and asked her alot of questions :) I haven't tried their coffee yet, so I'll probably come back to try it! read more

I would give my experience a 3.5 but I am rounding up to a 4. My family and I were driving through town and decided to look up somewhere to grab a treat. We stopped by around 4pm. The cafe seemed pretty lively. My sister got a pastry (there were only two pastries left). We asked the barista for his recommendation for drinks and he suggested a cinnamon roll latte (his go to). I ordered mine half sweet with extra ice and oat milk - very good! My only complaint about my visit is the cafe itself seemed very unclean, the restroom & coffee shelves seemed like they were not taken care of in a while. I like that there is this option nearby for folks who want to support an alternative chain coffee business. Taste and Quality - Reborn promotes itself as "fourth wave" coffee yet the taste of the cappuccino this morning was unfortunately slightly burned. The bag of coffee was $22 and no certification of fair trade, b corporation logos that I could find. The coffee bag I purchased was better in flavor than the espresso. Plant Based Options - They charge higher for plant based milks vs skim or regular dairy milk for total of ~$6 for each cappuccino. Customer Service / Vibe - I got there early around 6:50am, I was one two customers beyond the person sitting down already. I got no acknowledgement even as I get to the register. I said "hi" and he responded. Another person came in after me as I waited for my cappuccinos, and noticed that again neither staff member acknowledged him and they left him hanging by the register for a few minutes while cashier put away pastries into the baked goods glass showcase. I appreciated that they open earlier than other coffee shops, and what looks like a nice play for working or studying but with the vibe and the not so great espresso, I will not go back. read more

Not often in the area, but this time I was and I was in need of my mid day pick me up. One of the only stand alone coffee shops in the area, so we decided to give it a try instead of going to one of the many Starbucks. Located in a shopping center with decent parking. The coffee shop itself was decently big and adequate if you're looking for a space to get work done or study. Ladies working the espresso machines and cash register were cordial and efficient. Decided to try both their matcha and a typical vanilla latte. The matcha drink was good and looked more concentrated than others I've had recently. Could be from the type of ceremonial grade matcha they use, or they used a higher gram amount. You could definitely taste the complexity of the matcha itself within the drink, even with the strawberry added. If you're looking for a stronger matcha flavor with less sweetness, I'd recommend coming here. Now onto the vanilla latte. Wasn't able to peak and see the type of syrup they use, but this latte was very enjoyable. Though no flavors of either coffee or vanilla stood out as a wow factor, they both complimented each other very pleasantly. Not too sweet and not too milky. This latte was done just right. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the inviting atmosphere. Since I wanted to try something unique, I went with the Blueberry Matcha Latte and a coffee cake. Both were absolutely incredible. I wasn't sure what to expect, but the combination of the rich, earthy matcha with the subtle sweetness of blueberry was perfectly balanced. It was smooth, refreshing, and not overly sweet just the right amount of flavor to complement the high quality matcha. I am looking forward to returning soon. Looked in yelp for some high rated cafe for some good matcha and the search brought me to Reborn. They got pretty crowded and busy behind the counter but one of the staff took over the cashier and took care of the line pretty quickly and the line moved faster. They have unsweetened macadamia which i opted for my latte that day. Pretty good matcha, strong and you can also tell from the vibrant green matcha color. Parking is easy in the lot where they're located. Definitely will try their matcha again and their next location will be Pasadena (Union & El Molino) based on their website so will be looking forward to visiting that branch. read more
