I had a great experience at Arnie's. The staff is not only friendly but very funny. I have actually never been to Tujunga at all but this def set the tone. Had a delicious caramel latte and a red velvet muffin. The cheese rolls really are so so good. I want to come back and try even more things. The place is very cute and decorated well. Maybe Porto's isn't my favorite cafe to get pastries at after all.

This is a great little hidden gem in Tujunga!! Met the owner when we came for breakfast and it was great to have a conversation and learn about all they do. They use the best ingredients and they care for the quality of food that they serve. I appreciated this especially since many cafes don't care and try to just do whatever with no thought behind it. They have several seating available for large parties and a ton of food choices for the long hours they are open. Can't wait to go back and try some other dishes during lunch or for a late night snack since they are open late.

Just okay, I had the pistachio cake slice and it only tasted like sugar, it didn't have a pistachio flavor. The lady behind the counter was very friendly. I liked that there was enough parking and lots of options.

I've only ordered the bacon boat because I like it that much. I asked about the ingredients and they use good flour for their breads. Service is of the direct style, which you'll either appreciate or not... I happen to be just fine with it. Prices are fair.

So my husband had told me to check out Arnie's cafe because they have really good coffee and pastries. So to Arnie's I went. Located on Footjill Blvd it's a cozy little spot which has a drive thru also. I got myself an avocado toes and latte and the employees told me I have to try their banana bread, which all never say no to. ...the employee dancing after I said I loved it Then she said I should check out their actually bakery down the street. So the very next morning i drove there. Such an awesome spot. This time I got an iced matcha, the banana bread again (duh) and their lavash breakfast sandwich. Again, everything was a hit!! Also they have a little play structure in their patio for kids and they have pony rides on Saturdays from 9 to 3 . We will defining be back here with our marshmallows. Shoutout to Lisa for baking the best iced matcha and very lovely service :)

My heavenly ajarski and that double espresso.

I tossed my laundry into the washer and stepped out for a quick kombucha run--one of those ordinary errands that accidentally turns into a small delight:) As I passed by this spot, it's unassuming splendor just caught my eye. It had to be new; when I lived in the area five years ago, it simply didn't exist. I'm a firm believer in supporting local businesses, so I made a spontaneous U-turn and decided to see what this place was all about. Serendipity, it turns out, has excellent taste! First impressions were strong. A generous parking lot, a welcoming outdoor patio, and the kind of calm confidence that suggests a place run with intention. Inside, I was greeted by a young cashier who was warm, sweet, and effortlessly professional. The pastry and cake display immediately pulled me in, but curiosity led me to ask about breakfast. She walked me through an impressively wide menu, and my eyes locked onto the ajarski--beautifully described as a boat-shaped dough crowned with cheese and two large eggs. I asked her to add protein, and I chose to go with bacon. A double espresso sealed the deal. The interior is spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed, with large windows framing Foothill Boulevard and the rolling Tujunga hills beyond. I took a seat facing the window, soaking in the view as the city moved quietly outside. The espresso arrived first--rich, full-bodied, and perfectly textured, not the watered-down imitation too often passed off as a "double." Then came the ajarski. Let me be clear: I've traveled extensively and eaten ajarski in many corners of the world. What landed on my table here was on another level. Every detail was dialed in. The cheese melted luxuriously, the bacon was savory perfection, and the dough--golden, airy, and baked at just the right temperature--delivered depth of flavor with every bite. This wasn't just good; it was intentional cooking, executed with care and pride. I lingered, enjoying the ambiance, the food, and the attentive service. The tip was more than deserved. This place is professionally run, thoughtfully curated, and genuinely uplifting. It put a smile on my face and gave me the kind of energy that carries you through the rest of the day. Highly recommended. A true neighborhood gem--and one I'll be returning to often.

    Slime themed candy cake

called Arnie's Bakery just two days before my daughter's birthday to order a slime-themed chocolate cake. I sent them a photo of exactly what she wanted, and they absolutely nailed it! The design was spot on--exactly what my daughter had imagined--and the cake itself was massive and genuinely delicious. We had 25 kids and 7 adults at the party, and everyone got a slice... and we still have half the cake left over! Not only did it look amazing, but it also tasted great! Highly recommend Arnie's Bakery for any custom cake needs. They came through for us last minute and exceeded all expectations

Chai latte with goat milk, some pastries and Yes - they have wifi

What a nice surprise on a bright Monday afternoon. I was craving a new bakery and Arnie's did not disappoint. It's a bakery and cafe so they had an extensive menu. I ordered a chai latte and 5 stars for having goat milk. Also had some pastries which were so so good but I can't remember their names if you paid me. One was a twist on carrot cake and the other had like a birds nest and nuts. They also have a parking lot which makes it super convenient.

    Rose Cake

Visiting Arnie's was such a pleasant experience not only because of the variety of food and pastries but the customer service was top notch. Their rose cake was fragrant but not overpowering, perfectly moist and fluffy. The banana bread was so delicious I wish I could've bought the entire loaf !! Lastly they recommended to try their Matcha Chai Latte and it did not disappoint. I'd also like to thank Shaida for her help and suggestions. Truly a wonderful and kind young lady. Whether it's a drink, pastry or meal. Give them a try !!

Arnie's has always been a favorite of mine. Their coffees and drinks in general are great. Their iced chai latte, caramel macchiato, and white mocha are some of my favorites as well as their avocado toast. It has a hint of lime which I love! The people here are always very friendly and ready to help. They ensure you are satisfied with your food and go above and beyond to fix any issues you may have. They will even remake your drink. This location is very modern and open. Everything looks very well set up inside and very clean.

    Breakfast boat

I recently visited this lovely café and bakery after listening to the owner on LAist's Friday food segment & took the drive out from Hollywood to Tujunga and had such a wonderful experience. The food was absolutely delicious -- truly authentic Armenian flavors that felt homemade and full of heart. I had the the Breakfast Boat - kind of a boat shaped dough with cheese & eggs - so so good! The owner, Arnie, is fantastic: warm, personable, and clearly passionate about what he creates. The staff were equally caring and genuinely interested in honest feedback, which made the visit feel even more welcoming. The pastries, in particular, the rose cake was excellent and a perfect way to finish the meal. Highly recommend the drive from LA by if you're looking for great food and genuinely warm hospitality.

I recently went in and ordered a Philly cheesesteak over the counter. I waited patiently, tipped well, and about 20 minutes later an employee looked me directly in the eye, handed me a sandwich, and told me my order was ready. I got home, opened the sandwich, and found a turkey sandwich. Completely different order. I immediately called the store and explained what happened. Instead of an apology, I was told I needed to bring the sandwich back and that the entire sandwich needed to be there. Of course the entire sandwich was there. I hadn't touched it. I was also told they would start making my correct sandwich while I drove back. When I returned, the person I spoke with, who appeared to be a supervisor, manager, or owner, told me, "You must have taken the wrong sandwich." No. Your employee handed me the wrong sandwich and told me it was mine. When I explained that, the response was essentially, "Well, I was on break, so I don't know." That attitude bothered me far more than the original mistake. Mistakes happen. Handing someone the wrong sandwich is an easy mistake to forgive. What isn't so easy to overlook is treating the customer as though the mistake was somehow their fault, requiring them to drive all the way back, and showing virtually no apology or concern for wasting their time. Then came the replacement sandwich. The original cheesesteak I watched them prepare went through the pizza oven. The replacement did not. They also used American cheese instead of the cheese I ordered, and the sandwich was noticeably underbuilt, with very little meat, as shown in my photo. After the interaction I had just experienced, it was difficult not to view the replacement as passive-aggressive. What should have been simple was, "We're sorry. We handed you the wrong sandwich. We'll make this right." Instead, I felt accused, inconvenienced, and then handed a lesser sandwich as though they were doing me a favor. I've been coming here since the previous owners, going back to the late 1980s. Unfortunately, this also isn't the first time recently that I've received substandard service or a substandard product. At some point you have to stop judging a place by what it used to be and judge it by what it is today. For me, this experience did exactly that. I'd keep the photo of the underbuilt cheesesteak attached. It supports the part of the review people might otherwise dismiss as subjective.
