I asked an employee in Armenian how much the seeds cost. She didn't understand the word, so I tried the Russian word, which she recognized. She then told me to bring the item to her so she could scan it. When I asked about the Armenian word, she said she had grown up in the Soviet Union. I had no issue bringing the item over or clarifying what I meant. What bothered me was her dismissive tone and the sense that she had no interest in helping. I left feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome. After two experiences like this, I won't be returning. And when I came to put this review I see so many other bad reviews, I should have read these before going in. Hope the cookies I bought are not old like the other reviews state.

I use to take this as the cost of supporting mom and pop shops as they tend to have slimmer margins than a corporate entity. But it's gotten pretty ridiculous. Sandwiches are expensive and recently had a bad experience with buying cookies. They charged $20 for a dozen cookies. Nothing special, just regular chocolate chip cookies. The last time I purchased a dozen, several years back. it was $9 for a dozen. That's expensive too, but again, took it as supporting small business. And back then you'd get them on a little styrofoam plate with some saran wrap around it. This made it look somewhat presentable. Now they just throw them in a regular old ziplock bag like you're at a bake sale for an elementary school. They have also gone the way of a lot of counter service places in that they've added a tip line. And there's no way to bypass on their system, so you have to make a big deal about it or just tip no matter what. I've always been a good tipper, but the tipping culture has gotten out of control. I just can't justify $75 for a couple sandwiches, 2 small bags of chips, and a dozen cookies. Unfortunately, I will not be returning.
