3 piece mochinut & Mozarella and hotdog corndog

Cute spot with street parking and additional parking in the back. The guy who took my order was nice and my order was prepared quickly. I got a 3 piece mochinut (cookies n cream was my fav) and a potato mozzarella corndog (sooo yummy with the spicy mayo sauce). I'll definitely be coming back

This is a cute little donut stand that service mochi donuts. The donuts themselves are very cute and aesthetically pleasing! Thank make for such a cute gift or something fun to bring to the office. (Ofc they're more expensive than regular donuts tho lol!) I love that there's an assortment of fun flavors and that they come in the ball shapes so it's easy to cut and share with friends. There's free curbside parking! :)

Came to Mochimama to get a few donuts for my brother in laws birthday. I'm not sure why the name changed from Mochinut. Is this a different place with a new name or did the company change the name from Mochinut to Mochimama. It was $34 for a dozen variety of donuts and they were all OK. I can't really put my finger on why it was not 5 stars, but there was nothing overly special about them for me. They were "good." I think i would rather have regular donuts, but these are good to have occasionally. The location is pretty convenient right off of foothill near my house. You order from the service window right outside. I wish the continued success of the local eatery!

I don't usually write reviews, but wow, the lady running the store was so incredibly nice. Her face lit up when I walked up to the window, and when I told her it was my first time ordering, she was extremely helpful at recommending different donuts. Also, the donuts are simply beautiful! I will definitely be coming back.

Had to leave a review after trying Mochimama in La Crescenta! Picked up two glaze, two strawberry, and two chocolate mochi donuts for a little treat, and wow--they were delicious. Each donut was perfectly chewy in that addictive, satisfying way only good mochi can be. The glaze was sweet and classic, the strawberry was bright and flavorful, and the chocolate had just the right richness. Everything tasted super fresh, and the texture was spot-on--chewy but not dense. The staff was friendly and welcoming too, which made the visit even better. Highly recommend if you're looking for tasty treats and great service in the area. And at the end the owner said "fighting." A nice expression saying keep working hard. Love it.

This is SO MUCH MORE than your average donut shop. It is some of the most flavorful food I've ever tasted and such a hidden gem. The owners have a secret special korean BBQ sauce that is UNREAL. I would drive over an hour from Santa Monica to Montrose to have it again. You HAVE to order the sotteok sotteok and the mandoo. Such great Korean street food and the quality is excellent. The mochinuts are also the perfect texture, and come in such special flavors. I've never had a mochinut like these. They rotate through seasonal flavors which makes it so special. The churro mochinuts and the lemon mochinut are MUST ORDERS. Even beyond the excellent food, the service was incredible. You can really tell that the owners go above and beyond to make sure that everyone's special requests are taken care of. We had a vegetarian in our party, and they were SO accomodating and kind. It is a family run spot, and they always greet you with the biggest smile and kind words. 100000000/10 I want to go back IMMEDIATELY

Incredible place to grab a quick bite! The donuts are so soft and light, recommend the original, lemon, and churro flavors but honestly all are delicious. The Mozzarella Ramen hotdog was a highlight - amazing cheese pulls, so yummy. Also recommend the Mandu, absolutely delicious. There is also a side seating area for you to enjoy the food outside! Lots of options to order from and the owners are SO lovely. Will definitely be visiting again!!

why my corn dog so small? paid 15 for a potato half and half and a sotteok sotteok just for it to be hella small - service was okay, the ambiance is cute cute on the outside but pretty disappointed in the portion size...

    3-Piece Mochi Donut

Friendly staff, delicious Korean food, donuts have the perfect fluffy texture. Fast service. One of my local favorites!

    12-Piece Mochi Donut

The mochi donuts here have a great texture and the flavors are so unique and delicious! I loved the original and the churro especially. Also recommend the savory snacks - we got the crunchy ramen mozzarella corn dog, the sotteok sotteok, and the mandoo, and all three were very good. The owners are so kind and lovely!

Came here for the souffle pancakes and they didn't disappoint!…read more My party of 3 stopped by Saturday afternoon 2:30 pm and it wasn't crowded. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We chose outdoor since it was such a nice day out. They have all of their desserts on display in the case, so you can peruse the options and see what looks good. So many of the desserts looked good, like the matcha yuzu chiffon crepe cake or the rose and lychee crepe cake. We ordered via the kiosk and got the mango sunshine souffle pancake ($16.50) and well as a couple drinks. My drink was the white peach lemon jasmine bliss ($6.25), with 50% sweetness and less ice. Even though there are signs everywhere saying that it takes 15-20 minutes for the souffle pancakes to be cooked, ours came out super quickly, in 5 minutes or so. We got it with the sauce on the side, but I regret doing that as I saw others getting it with the sauce on top and it was beautiful. The pancake was super fluffy and a bit eggy as well. We all really enjoyed it with the mango sauce. I made the mistake of eating the pancake first before trying a sip of my tea. The pancake was pretty sweet, so I could barely taste my drink, but I think it was good? I could taste a bit of the lemon but definitely not the white peach, which is a lighter flavor. I got a slice of their Hokkaido cheese cake roll for $7 to go and had it the next day. It was okay but definitely a bit pricy for what you get. I'd love to come back to try their other desserts and pancakes!

This cafe has potential but at the moment it is not quite living up to the hype. The cafe, one of…read morethree in the area, is mostly kitchen & counter with a small bar counter with six stools facing the window & a handful of tables inside. It is not really cute or aesthetic in any way... and the whole place could use a refresh. There is a covered patio with a few tables outside but at the moment it is a bit haphazard and not the nicest because the space next door is doing construction & there is a large dumpster on Green Street. We ordered Black tea & Floral Pineapple Blossom tea drinks, Peach Crepe Cake and a Peach Souffle Pancake ($17.50) via the kiosk. When you order, you receive a text that lets you know your order number, has a receipt, and also an expected time of delivery. The drinks were ready about 15 minutes. They were both fine, and prepared correctly. The peach crepe cake was brought out a few minutes later. My mom enjoyed it and it looked very pretty. Then the time that the entire order was supposed to be ready came and went. I checked in with Nick at the counter and he said that my souffle pancake would be ready in 5 minutes. About 7 minutes later, when my mom was done with her cake. Nick brought it over and set it down in next to me. It was jiggly, huge, and very wobbly. I slid it over so it was in front of me, and the top pancake fell off of the stack, and flipped over so the whipped cream side was on the counter. I tried to flip it back over and put it on top of the stack, but it fell apart. At this point, I was so frustrated with the situation and grossed out by the possibility of eating whipped cream and pancake that had been on the counter, that I asked Nick to remedy the situation. He offered to make a new pancake, but since this one had taken 40 minutes to come out, I was not willing to wait that long again. He kindly offered an alternative suggestion which I accepted. I tried the Creme Brulee crepe cake which was mildly flavored and pretty tasty. (Maybe I should have just gotten it in the first place, but I had really wanted to try the souffle pancake which I've since & sadly lost interest in.) With that, we bid Motto adieu, and it is unlikely that I will return. A few additional notes: Parking in the area is metered and $1.25/hr with a max of 2 hours, the single bathroom is functional, but there is some problem with the ceiling (there is a gaping hole covered by plastic) making for an unpleasant and potentially unsanitary situation. This should be remedied immediately! Peace.

I love Korean shaved ice and this place rates way up there against all the other shaved iced places…read moreI've been here in the states and in Korea. Not only was the flavor amazing (which made me want to return and try them all) but the presentation was definitely instagram worthy. The one negative is that the seating was not plentiful for all their customers but this is definitely not a negative for the owners. That just means they have a great business. Location is in old town so parking might be a challenge.

A Little Cheat Night Never Hurt Nobody!…read more After eating the juiciest chicken ever at Loli Farms, I've been eyeing this dessert spot for a while, and luckily it was only 1.6 miles away. So obviously... dessert was happening. Perfect excuse for a little cheat-night treat! Parking Hack: Don't pay $5 for parking! We parked about 7 minutes away in a parking structure for only $1 for 2 hours. After all the delicious food I inhaled, I definitely didn't mind getting a little extra cardio in. Pasadena parking is definitely doing the most, so parking structure it was! Mango Melon Shaved Ice -- $8.50 | 7.8/10 Mango-flavored shaved ice topped with melon balls and served with a side of milk drizzle. The shaved ice itself was SO soft and fluffy, and the milk drizzle gave it just the right amount of sweetness. The only thing was... I really couldn't taste much mango in the shaved ice. It was pretty subtle, so I wouldn't say this one completely blew me away, but it was still a refreshing treat on a hot summer night. Definitely not the best I've had, but certainly not the worst! Injeolmi Shaved Ice -- $7.50 | 7.7/10 Milk-flavored shaved ice topped with mochi, layers of Injeolmi powder, and more milk drizzle. This was actually our first time trying Injeolmi, so we were curious! The combination of the soft shaved ice, milk drizzle, and nutty Injeolmi powder was really good and made for a fun flavor combination. My only complaint? THE MOCHI. They were soooo tiny! I wanted that satisfying chewy squish, but these little guys basically tasted like mini boba that disappeared the second I bit into them. The shaved ice itself was perfectly soft and honestly the star of both desserts. Inside, there aren't a ton of tables, but luckily we snagged one right when we walked in. And let me tell you... this place had a constant flow of customers the entire hour we were there! People were coming in and out left and right, with only one ordering machine, so expect a little patience if it gets busy. Overall, both shaved ices were pretty decent and made for the perfect little "I already ate too much but I'm still getting dessert" moment. Definitely a nice way to break the diet after our chicken feast! Would I come back? Absolutely, especially to try some of their other shaved ice flavors. Happy desserts!
