Review update - 2026 --- Colorado Donuts has officially become a tradition whenever we're in town! Since we're constantly bouncing between Eagle Rock and Orange County, a box of these sweet little beauties has basically become our required cargo for the drive back to OC. Their donuts are ridiculously fluffy and delicious, but those berry cronuts? LORD HAVE MERCY. Highly addictive and absolutely dangerous to anyone pretending to have self-control. Their vegan options are fantastic too--and no, we're definitely not vegan. We just tried them out of curiosity. If a T-Rex somehow had a human child, that would probably be me, so... yeah, no. But even I have to admit, they're GOOD! The kids love the custard cream-filled donuts, while the perfectly sweet-and-tangy raspberry and lemon-filled ones never survive the ride home. Yum! The shop itself is cute, bright, spotless, and welcoming, but the staff really make this place special. Always cheerful, kind, and genuinely delightful--some of the best customer service around. I bought a dozen for workers at our home, been by a million times, never went in. The place is clean, looks like they do a big lottery business, cases were clean and an assortment of donuts and pastries I believe ice cream too. It's in a strip mall, that is perpetually dirty in parking lot and side walk in front. Seems none of the businesses, including a couple I give business to, care about how dirty the side walk on Townsend and Colorado are. Shop owners use to have pride of their entrance appearance. The strip mall owner also has let their wall in front go to disrepair. The workers seemed to like the donuts, damn, at over $30 for a dozen, they had better be good! Damn, not just the Donut shop, but all of those shops should show some civic pride and clean their filthy sidewalk and parking lot! read more

I've gotten an assortment of donuts using the Too Good To Go app. The people behind the counter are really friendly and sweet. The area is kept very clean. Parking lot is shared with other businesses. My favorites are blueberry donuts, chocolate old fashioned, and glazed. They taste fresh, light, fluffy, and not overly sweet (at least the ones I had). 5 stars all around for the great service, fresh and yummy donuts, and very fair price point! read more

I used to live up the street from this donut shop and would come here occasionally for a fix. This family-owned business started doing fancy donuts long before it became a trend. Inside the case you'll see decadent offerings like Snickers and Banana Nutella. They also have cronuts and classics, in addition to coffee & ice cream. The lady that owns the store is sweet & friendly. She knows her regulars by name. The donuts are made fresh daily. On a recent visit I tried the Nutella Banana Donut. It was sinfully delicious! A yeast raised donut split in half with a layer of Nutella & thin slices of banana in the middle topped with a chocolate glaze, a dollop of banana flavored whipped cream, and a banana slice. The bananas were also fresh. Not mushy, not hard, but just right. The combination was delightful. read more

They're honestly the best donuts I've ever had anywhere. I actually discovered this place by accident via the TGTG app. Now anytime I'm in that area it's a MANDATORY detour. I am constantly checking my GPS to see how far they are from wherever I'm at because they're that good. Wow, amazing donuts! I was blown away by the blueberry frosted donut. Whole blueberries and blueberry chunks embedded in a blueberry frosting glaze. Didn't know that blueberry flavoring could be that intense, or that I needed it in my life. The crème brûlée, apple fritter, and other assorted donuts were also excellent. They have some other fancy ones with things like Snickers in them that I might try someday soon. My one point would be to get much better coffee or do a collab with a local coffee roaster. read more

This place is one of my all time favorite donut locations of all time. I personally love creative donuts. To each their own, but I find simple blueberry and cream filled donuts boring and Colorado Donuts truly delivers on unique, different flavor donuts. My favorite donuts from them are definitely the crème brûlée and the dulce de leche. They're both super soft, have the perfect amount of filling and are not overly sweet, which is very nice. There's a parking lot here and some of the spots are weirdly laid out. The inside is fairly silent and there's the fun pink theme. Service has always been quick. The original plan was to wait a few hours to get some lunch, Colorado Donuts colourful building caught my attention and suddenly our car magically appeared in the parking lot. The bright pink donut shop offers a ton of different donut styles, fresh juice, and even ice cream (I think) in the back of the shop, though it wasn't set up when we were there. I came here on Sunday and absolutely fell in love with both the Cookie Monster donut as well as the massive "Twix" one which literally had some Twix bars inside of it. The Twix got consumed first and this thing really hit the spot. Talk about substance, chocolatey goodness, and candy? Yeah, amazing donut. I ate the Cookie Monster donut a bit later and really enjoyed this one as well, just a solid little donut. Overall, Colorado Donuts was a really solid experience. The employee helping us was friendly and helpful, the bakery itself looked super cool inside, and the donuts were great as well. We found this spot on a list of the top donut shops in Los Angeles, and once we learned they offered vegan options, we were all in. We made the one-hour drive to check it out. It's located in a strip mall in a beautiful part of the city, and the service was friendly and helpful. The vegan ube donut was so good--the cake had the perfect texture. I know donuts are subjective, but this one was seriously impressive. We also got lucky with the blueberry fritters, which had just come out of the kitchen. Warm, crunchy, gooey... absolutely perfect.
