Not sure what the fuss is about here. Some of the worst donuts I've had in a long time, there was nothing at all remarkable about them. At least the coffee was decent. Staff was friendly, but they do charge you an extra dollar for any credit card transaction under $10 so that was kind of a bummer. Again, I don't know why I went here and I will not be heading back. Muffin was dry and felt a day old. Donut just ok.

see the photo. need i say more? apparently i do. okay i'll meet the minimum character count yelp. Classic donut breakfast spot that's everything you need. lots of customers coming in on a tuesday morning, but still a very low-key vibe.

First time here and as soon as I stepped inside I was greeted and it smelled amazing. That donut and coffee combination smell is undefeated. The lady was very sweet to me and all I got was an assorted dozen and a medium coffee. I bet she's like that with everyone that walks through those doors. An absolute must try here in Glendale. Can't wait to come back!

Stopped in for a donut but then, I saw they have breakfast sandwiches all day. #7 Egg, ham and cheese, the lady even asked if I wanted jalapeño or onion but I didn't add them. I also added a glaze donut, which was really yummy and fresh. The sandwich was bomb too and the croissant was fresh also. They also had 4 booth tables in there which was nice to have the option to eat it there. I will be bringing my boyfriend next time (:

When we needed donuts for our shoot, Lily from Foster's Family Donuts didn't hesitate. She supplied the donuts you see throughout the film...including these beautiful pink donuts that she made specifically for SLUSH. The truth is that independent films aren't made by one person. They're built one act of generosity at a time. A location owner says yes. A crew member goes the extra mile. A local business owner helps. And suddenly a story that existed only in your head begins to exist in the world. Thank you, Lily, for being part of that journey. And if you're anywhere near Foster's Family Donuts, do yourself a favor and stop in. The donuts are every bit as good as they look.

The young lady who initially helped us was very kind, and we ended up spending about $25. My kids decided they wanted to sit and eat inside, so I grabbed two small sheets of wax paper to use as makeshift plates so they wouldn't make crumbs or leave a mess on the tables. As I was taking the two sheets, an older woman working there aggressively confronted me and nearly smacked my hand away. Her reaction made it seem like I was reaching over the register and stealing money rather than taking two pieces of inexpensive wax paper for food we had just purchased. There were other customers inside, which made the whole interaction even more embarrassing and unnecessary. I had just spent $25 at the shop and was simply trying to keep the table clean while my kids ate. If taking the wax paper was an issue, she could have politely said something instead of reacting so aggressively. I'm local to La Crescenta and would have happily returned, but treating a paying customer this way over two pieces of wax paper left a terrible impression. Unfortunately, I won't be coming back.

Specifically, they were drier, and the dough had a cornstarch-like taste. Considering the flavor and texture, I found them very pricey compared to other places. Small regular coffee: 8/10 The coffee was solid. It was nothing fancy, but it hit the spot! The server was really friendly, and I appreciated being able to customize it with sugar, milk, creamer, or other toppings. The shop itself was very clean and had a chill, welcoming vibe. The front server was personable and engaging, which made the visit even nicer! A big plus is that it's open 24 hours and has a wide selection of donuts, which is great since most donut shops are almost sold out late at night. The only minor downside was a loud beeping noise from one of their machines that went off the entire time I was there, but it didn't ruin the experience. Total Price (before tip) = $18.19

I'm always on the hunt for a Piroshki, one of my favorite delights that I think originated in…read moreRussia and is East European by origin. I think Papillon is Armenian which I believe has European cuisine, as Armenia is considered geographically to be within Western Asia (the Middle East) and the South Caucasus region. Sitting within the mountainous Armenian Highland, it acts as a transcontinental bridge between Eastern Europe and Asia. Their Piroshki is long and thin, whereas I'm accustomed to them being robust short stocky and round almost resembling a giant baked potato in size and shape. So these look like a "Chinese Donut" a.k.a. Youtiao (油条) in size and shape, same girth but length maybe 6"-8" long. What I liked is the filling of the Beef was minced ground beef with sauteed onion bits mixed into a blend and seasoned with a bit of spice but overall was very moist and juicy and the fried dough was very good. So, I'd recommend that. Oddly, I tried the Beef and Potato reluctantly thinking the pure beef option was going to be better... and the Potato was soft and perfect so I'm thinking they're equally good depending on your mood. I tried the beef empanada, and it was very good, similar flavor of the beef empanada to the piroshki but not exactly the same, otherwise I might say the empanada is bigger and gives more protein of the ground beef. The desert shaped like a peach fruit was very good. It reminded me of Asian style deserts where they're not overly sweet and has a healthy refreshing taste more so than being too overwhelming with thick sugary creams. I found out they have multiple locations. It feels maybe the Armenian and Russian community in So Cal are more toward this area and The Valley, so I do have to take what could be a 60-90 minute journey to come here, and even longer of a commute to their other locations. I think they'd do well in the SBBC (South Bay Beach Cities) down South past Santa Monica but before Long Beach and Orange County. I'd recommend this place for the food and service.
