A classic donut joint if you know what I'm talking about. Ham cheese jalapeño croissant is always my favorite at donut shops and at this place it is nicely executed - the ratio of all the ingredients was perfect and everything tasted great. I had a glazed donut which also was fresh and on point. They make bagels and breakfast sandwiches which I haven't tried yet but they look good. Prices are also reasonable. Not sure what the fuss is about here. Some of the worst donuts I've had in a long time, there was nothing at all remarkable about them. At least the coffee was decent. Staff was friendly, but they do charge you an extra dollar for any credit card transaction under $10 so that was kind of a bummer. Again, I don't know why I went here and I will not be heading back. First time here and as soon as I stepped inside I was greeted and it smelled amazing. That donut and coffee combination smell is undefeated. The lady was very sweet to me and all I got was an assorted dozen and a medium coffee. I bet she's like that with everyone that walks through those doors. An absolute must try here in Glendale. Mr goods donuts is THE best donut shop I've ever been to. Their donuts are fresh anytime of day. Theres easy parking and the customer service is amazing. It's a family owned business and every single time I've been here, it's been such a pleasant experience. I LOVE mamabear that owns it. She always remembers her customers and my allergies. Trying to find the best apple fritter, and I see another YE is on the same path. There's only one place so far leading the pack, and Mr. Good didn't beat it. Although, the price is right, the apple fritter is a bit thin, but I'll give them the right amount of apple championship. Every bite had a delightful bite of apple filling. Now, if the dough was a bit fluffier, rather than dense, with more cinnamon, it would be a great contender for the #1 apple fritter on my list. Service was great. I was greeted when I came in and fast! It wasn't busy at all when I came in around 8:30 am. I imagine it's much busier for those getting to work at the 8 o'clock hour. Small parking lot, but plenty of spots at the time I swing by. Also, found them on the Too Good To Go app! This place is fantastic for both breakfast sandwiches and donuts. The breakfast sandwiches are so large, that normally I only eat one half and either share it with my husband, or get two meals out of it. And since they're less than $10, it's a steal! Their donuts are also so good. The apple fritter and the crumb donuts are my absolute favorite. Stopped in for a donut but then, I saw they have breakfast sandwiches all day. #7 Egg, ham and cheese, the lady even asked if I wanted jalapeño or onion but I didn't add them. I'd had an old fashioned doughnut from them years ago, enjoyed it, so when they turned up in the Too Good To Go app? I was in! Great experience. I went in, showed my screen and they packed up a box for me, from the end of day doughnuts, so they were still pretty fresh. 10 assorted donuts and a nice amount of yeasted doughnut holes. $5.99. I'd heard about their Boston cream pie doughnut and was thrilled that I got one in the box. It lived up to the hype. The lox bagel was excellent. It was so good I had to go back inside to tell them. The bagel had good texture and was filled with Lox, capers, onions and tomato's. They even offered me jalapeños. Will definitely make it a destination stop. read more

Place is very clean, parking can be very tricky in the morning. I ordered a ham and egg sandwich, and it was amazing , the bread was toasted and the cheese was evenly melted with the thin sliced ham. I used to come here with my mom and wait for our laundry next door when I was kid mid 2000's. I loved the owners and how close they were to the customers and took alot of pride in their food. I moved away for college and moved back a few months ago to find out they are under new management. With the new management, they still inherited and kept that connection going strong and show really show how much they care for everything The old owners will always have a special place in my heart. Was driving home and felt like getting a donut shop egg croissant sandwich, found Mr Goods through yelp as I passed Glendale. Boy am I glad I did! I love trying fresh made breakfast croissant sandwiches usually with either sausage, ham or bacon combined with egg and cheese. Different mom and pop shops have their versions. I think from an "egg" forward version Mr Goods is now my fave! The egg was pillowy and fluffy and a good healthy portion of the sandwich. It was well seasoned and the ham and cheese included in their number 7 (The Hoag) was a perfect mix for me. The sandwich was also piping hot, it was definitely prepared fresh and fast, I didn't ask but I think she cooked the egg to order in a pan as opposed to just warming an already precooked scramble-,that is next level service. You'll see in the photo how great this sandwich looked. Well it tasted just as great. The shop of course also serves donuts and while I did not grab one they had a great looking selection as well. I paired my sandwich with a simple iced coffee no sugar. Hit the spot!!! You can take out of course but the shop also has four booth style tables where you can sit and eat your selections if you choose. Go see Mr Goods if you are in Glendale, CA and feel like you wanna have a very well and freshly made egg croissant combo sandwich. Oh, add jalapeño and mayo to the dish as well...you'll like the added dimension of flavor. read more

I found this little shop by accident while my car was having maintenance services at the lot across the street. I ordered a cup of coffee and #9 bagle time but replaced the bagle with croissant. I did not expect much because of the appearance of this tiny shop and the cheap prices on the menu. To my pleasant surprise, both the coffee and the croissant sandwich were excellent. This is the part I hate about reviews & establishments. If you're a small business DO NOT put the integrity of your business on the line to cut corners. I had an issue with a recent order and they handled it quickly, professionally and thoroughly. Evey business is capable of making mistakes, but it takes an experienced and thoughtful staff to correct the issues while making the customer feel heard and valued.

I think Papillon is Armenian which I believe has European cuisine, as Armenia is considered geographically to be within Western Asia (the Middle East) and the South Caucasus region. Sitting within the mountainous Armenian Highland, it acts as a transcontinental bridge between Eastern Europe and Asia. Their Piroshki is long and thin, whereas I'm accustomed to them being robust short stocky and round almost resembling a giant baked potato in size and shape. So these look like a "Chinese Donut" a.k.a. Youtiao (油条) in size and shape, same girth but length maybe 6"-8" long. What I liked is the filling of the Beef was minced ground beef with sauteed onion bits mixed into a blend and seasoned with a bit of spice but overall was very moist and juicy and the fried dough was very good. So, I'd recommend that. Oddly, I tried the Beef and Potato reluctantly thinking the pure beef option was going to be better... and the Potato was soft and perfect so I'm thinking they're equally good depending on your mood. I tried the beef empanada, and it was very good, similar flavor of the beef empanada to the piroshki but not exactly the same, otherwise I might say the empanada is bigger and gives more protein of the ground beef. The desert shaped like a peach fruit was very good. It reminded me of Asian style deserts where they're not overly sweet and has a healthy refreshing taste more so than being too overwhelming with thick sugary creams. I found out they have multiple locations. It feels maybe the Armenian and Russian community in So Cal are more toward this area and The Valley, so I do have to take what could be a 60-90 minute journey to come here, and even longer of a commute to their other locations. I think they'd do well in the SBBC (South Bay Beach Cities) down South past Santa Monica but before Long Beach and Orange County. I'd recommend this place for the food and service.

Ive been coming to this Mom and Pop shop since I was in middle school around 15 years ago. They have always treated me well and food is always fresh. Its not a fancy place, but the food and donuts sure have quality. You can tell the people put passion into what they do. Price is very good and place is always clean. I live on the same block. Been going here for years. They have the worlds best bacon, egg, cheese, croissant sandwich. The donuts and other things on menu is good also. But my favorite is the sandwiches. The owner lady is so nice and fast customer service. I'm here at least twice a week. If anyone wants a real croissant sandwich, Mr Goods is the place to be. read more
