Assorted pastries
Melody A.

Assorted pastries in a cute box of sugar and deliciousness from Pink Orchid today fueled our team and myself today. Appreciate the kind souls who brought them in for us to try, and impressed by the solid quality of the various pastries. One pastry had a wafer top but a fruit and nut stuffed cake-like center. The butterfly cookies were flaky but not as light as I usually prefer. Desserts here are sweet, but in a subtle manner! Very enjoyable to snack on during a busy day

Came in looking for a mocha pastry and left with all sorts of goodies ! The chocolate cake was so amazing and flavorful ! It's located in the heart of Glendale and the staff is so sweet and welcoming . The vibe is very chill., there's cute tables and chair so feel free to bring your friends!

I got this recommendation from a friend and we popped in last week for a quick snack after our meeting. I opted to sit a little bit while I enjoyed a couple of cappuccino and some small bites. Everything in the case looked tantalizing to the eyes. They have a wide array of baked good with fruit, cheese and cream filling. The best part of all, they are moderately priced. The other glass case was filled with beautifully-adorned cakes. Something tells me they're not just pretty to look at but the taste is also heavenly. The place was cute, cozy inside with seating. There are also tables and chairs outside to enjoy the nice ambiance Glendale's neighborhood. Looking forward to coming back in a couple of weeks for meetings. Their sandwiches and other savory delights look appealing. Right by the entrance door is a fridge with easy to grab salads and other bites for a quick lunch. Might also pick up a cake for dad's birthday. The ladies working here were nice and welcoming.

Not sure I'll ever come again. Wanted a sweet treat last night so I went out to get something from here. The parking situation was a bit awkward but doable. The staff stared me down while I tried to figure out what I wanted and really lacked some customer service manners. I'm Gen Z but even I get weirder out by the Gen Z stare. The brownie I got was giving cosmic brownie and not in a good way. For the same price I could've gone to Vons and gotten something in their bakery section and avoided the weird social interaction I had here. Maybe their big food menu would make me change my mind one day but I need to forget about my recent experience first.

Ok this amazing little shop has some of the best brunch food you could ask for! I ordered the Ajarakan after I saw a picture of it on their menu. Let me tell you! The bread is perfectly warm and crispy. It is delectable. And then the cheese on top is ooey gooey. The eggs were perfectly cooked. I loved every bite of this! My friend preferred the omelette and they put a great Armenian twist on the omelette! Served with warm bread and cheese. It looked delicious! The women who helped us were very kind and our food came out pretty quickly! It's a little shop with some seating outside but it was perfect! Oh and of course we shared a dulce de leche filled fried dough ball! So good! We are so happy we found this little place!

40th birthday cake design cake as requested , this cake was the cake of all birthday cakes, the most prettiest of my entire life . This is the birthday cake of my dreams. I was thrilled to pick it up and carry it around with the beautiful frosting flowers and the inscription of my name on the bottom . The price was right also -was surprised at the affordability with the 6 inch . I will be ordering more at every holiday !!! , pink orchid also had wonderful customer service and the very nice sweetheart at the counter who was happy to help me . I also saw people enjoying coffee inside and out side for the patio - and lot of goodies in the case- like baklava and other beautiful pastries !!!! Yum and cute !!!! , I will definitely be coming here more often for a nice afternoon or evening treat !!!!

Another excellent service and catering by Pink Orchid. We order almost monthly now because their sandwiches are delicious and everyone always asks me about them. They've easily become my go to place. They even helped me out when I was in a bind a week ago for an impromptu party. Today we ordered 2 of their sandwich platters and I also highly recommend their yummy salads. My favorite sandwiches are their grilled chicken, mortadella and turkey. Thanks Noel and crew!

I am a frequent customer here and the service has gotten really bad. I walked in to buy lahmaju asked for 6 veggie and 6 meat and 12 cheese breads. The lady took customers left and right not realizing I was ahead in the line I was in a hurry then a man walked in and said he's wants veggie lahmaju too they were so disorganized that they didn't realize they ran out of some of the things ordered online so this lady decides to tell me I have to wait more so they can make a new batch by this time I was at that counter for over twenty five minutes and told her I couldn't wait anymore and they had plenty when I ordered mine... she then said then too bad we dont have it sorry so she took my order and gave it to the other person. I am so mad at this service I couldn't not say anything about this. Management should definitely train staff she said I can't sell to you sorry I told him I will give it to him so what I had more hang me... what kind of language is this towards a customer. Really disappointed. Ended up with just cheese breads after a 25 minute wait.

Food was great... staff were welcoming. Ambiance was ok, nothing special... but what is special is the food.. Their croissant was so tasty and smooth... their chocolate croissant was loaded with chocolate... good for a sweet tooth like me. Fresh fruit juices also was thirst saver. It was indeed worth the try. Marking it as one of my fave spot... Parking was though need a little effort... small parking and entrancd though... however, street parking is available.

Parking is a little challenging. The restaurant is on the corner of Jackson and another street I forget. There is a little lot but you have to come in from a different street-Not on Jackson. There are about 3 30 min parking spots right in front of the restaurant on another street which is your best bet. Inside they had a nice range of Armenian pasty and baked goods. We got a slice of the Birds Milk cake which was phenomenal. We also tried the mikado which was very interesting and good in its own way. No photos because we scoffed it down. The young lady helping us was very sweet.

Pink Orchid Bakery and Cafe, Glendale. Box of delightful sweets. Shot taken after chocolate vanilla triangle & baklava eaten.

It was Uncle Alan and Uncle Rolando's birthdays so besides the ultra delicious homemade cassava cake creation by Stepmom Ophelia, Auntie Noemi had brought over a delightful box of sweets from a Persian Iranian Armenian bakery and cafe in Glendale called Pink Orchid. Chefs kiss. Plus Russian plus Ukrainian plus Greek plus Lebanese plus Georgian plus French. I had their wonderful cream brulee with whipped cream and a strawberry on top. I was eyeing the tiramisu but I couldn't choose the glutton route because I was already tres satisfied. They are heartily recommended. Hearts. They have another location on Westwood Boulevard. In our intrepid City of Angels, La Ciudad de la Reina de Los Angeles. Happy Sabbath to you. This was a very sweet sweet which put the joy of the Lord in my bosom. (254)

Meat perashki on the left, Mikado(?) cake on the right. I liked the perashki

A relaxed cafe on the quiet side of downtown Glendale within walking distance from Brand blvd. There are always a couple of locals chilling on the tables outside. One might be able to snag free parking in the surrounding residential streets. Pink Orchid has all day breakfast, sandwiches, pizzas, salads, soups, and pastries. I've tried the meat perashki, which was served warm. The exterior was crispy while the interior was soft. The dough reminded me of a donut. I know this sounds weird, but the filling of finely ground meat and spices tasted like a Mcdonald's filet o' fish in a different form! It was good. I also tried a slice of cake, which might have been the Mikado. It was topped with a thin layer of loose-set chocolate ganache. The taste was alright. I liked the stick-to-your-teeth quality of the sponge, but I couldn't tell what the flavors of the cake and cream were supposed to be. On another occasion, my bf bought the large batch honey cake to-go. It was not bad, with the same sticky quality as the other cake. Comparing it to some other shops, I would have preferred a stronger honey flavor.

I happened to be at the tire shop across the street getting the tires changed on my car and needed to pick up some pastries for guests that were coming over that same day. One of those guests happens to be a baker so I really needed to find some fresh delicious pastries. I checked Yelp for nearby bakeries and La Jaconde popped up with really great reviews so I drove right across the street and picked up some baked goods. I picked up this big pastry that was stuffed with cream cheese and sour cherries (TRUST ME you want this), a box of mixed cookies and bite sized goodies, and a box of stuffed dates (don't knock it until you try it). EVERYTHING was fresh. Everything was tasty. And it got the stamp of approval from the baker friend. The cream cheese and sour cherry stuffed bakery literally disappeared in 10 minutes, and that thing was not small by any means. I returned to this same place the following week to pick up some savory baked goods for some friends, and the owner was at the shop and was so kind and so proud of his products (as he should be). Needless to say this is going to be my bakery of choice. I'd drive past 5 shops to get to this one any day.

Light, silky, refreshing, and packed with tropical flavor without feeling too sweet. I also tried the raspberry chocolate pastry which was beautifully executed with raspberry compote and chocolate mousse, but I'm just very particular about chocolate-forward desserts. The iced vanilla latte was the perfect balance alongside the pastries, and I ended up leaving with a handful of macarons that were honestly addictive. Every flavor was delicious. Love the outdoor seating too. Perfect spot to slow down for a minute, enjoy a coffee, and have a really elevated pastry experience.

Artelice used to be okay when they first opened years ago. The pastries were refined, buttery,…read moreelegant, and actually reminded me of real French pâtisseries. Their New York rolls were full, rich, flaky, and flavorful. Unfortunately, over the past year, the quality has gone completely downhill. The croissants are now dry, overcooked, and tasteless , even early in the morning. It honestly feels like they changed the butter because the flavor is gone. The pastries look beautiful for Instagram, but the taste no longer matches the image. People probably come for the terrace and the "Paris" aesthetic, but nothing about these pastries feels authentically French anymore. The owner is Iranian and honestly should stick to Iranian pastries instead of trying to market this place as a French pâtisserie, because it is nowhere close to the quality or refinement of a real French pastry shop. On top of that, customer service is terrible. The employees are rude, impatient, and act bothered when you ask simple questions like the price of a croissants ; especially since prices are not clearly displayed. Paying almost $7 for a croissant or New York roll, and $10+ for many pastries, would maybe be acceptable with excellent quality and service... but definitely not with dry pastries and rude staff. Parking is another nightmare. There's no dedicated parking lot, so you have to park on San Fernando, pay for parking, and parking enforcement is constantly circling waiting to ticket people the second your time expires. This was my last visit. Save your money and go elsewhere for pastries -- honestly, even Whole Foods does better at this point.
