I usually go to LA Michoacana in San Fernando even though I live in Glendale because they always have great customer service and actually make the mangonadas look full and worth the money. Yesterday, Friday 5/15, I decided to give the Glendale Galleria location a chance, and honestly, the experience was disappointing. I ordered a mangonada, and they barely added any mango chunks or savory toppings. It literally looked like there were only about four pieces on top. Compared to other locations, it looked nothing like the pictures they advertise. I politely asked one of the workers if they could add a little more, and instead of simply helping, she went to get the manager. When the manager came out, the first thing she told me was, "If you want more, it's an extra charge. We measure the toppings." I calmly explained that I wasn't trying to get extra for free -- I was just surprised because the amount they gave didn't even look like a normal serving. I also mentioned that I usually go to other locations, and they're always consistent with how they prepare their mangonadas. What made the situation worse was the attitude. While I was waiting for my churros, the manager came back with a tiny cup with a few extra pieces and said, "This is a one-time thing." That comment honestly made me feel uncomfortable and unwelcome over such a simple request. I wasn't rude, and I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I just expected the same quality and customer service I've received from other LA Michoacana locations. I went there to buy a banana because my son was hungry. The manager charges me for the banana and after asks me, "Tip?" I was honestly baffled by her asking me to give her a tip because the only thing she did was hand me a banana, nothing else. I respond back by saying "what?" because I was honestly surprised. I have a friend who recently went to This specific place to get a Horchata. All the sudden he had a stomach pain and had to use the restroom at the mall. From what he said he stain one of the bathroom toilet stall so badly he left an entire new paint color in the toilet bowl so for anyone who reads this and is currently at the mall yea beware for what you might see. -Pandemic take out review- If you're ever craving esquite... then this is your place! I visited la michoacana on a Sunday night as I was desperately craving some esquite. I was able to order right away. The establishment was very clean and everyone was wearing masks and gloves. Now onto the esquite. I honestly thought the hot Cheetos esquite would only have hot Cheetos on the top layer but I was wrong. They layer corn and the toppings so perfectly so you get toppings and corn in every bite. The hot Cheetos were not stale at all. Also, the corn is fresh and you can definitely taste that it's not canned. This place is the bomb! My kid got this mangonada for me and it's the best one that I've ever had. I've seen this place in the mall on the corner when we walk in from the parking lot. It's a beautiful place with so many colors of the rainbow. It's like the fruit carts on the street but supersized. I went in today during my lunch break I ordered some tostilocos I specifically said the hot cheetos and I noticed that they were making the tostito bag ones So I respectfully said that I wanted the cheetos and I kept explaining that I was so sorry the girl froze and just started at me and then she told the other female working there I'm assuming she was the lead of the shift she had a bun and she seemed so bothered and she came to tell Me that Tostilocos are made from the Tostitos and that to make sure I say hot Cheetos ... I told her I was extremely sorry that I could have sworn I did and she just walked away so rudely ... I was so upset at this point I told the one who was making them that I'll just Pay for both since I felt bad. Tell me why she says I only put chamoy do you want me to finish making them ... i realized there was a michoacana at the glendale galleria & i was so excited! i walked up at about 2:45pm on Monday October 3rd. there was two young ladies working (a young lady with blonde hair & a darker haired young lady) they were talking to a young gentleman (wasn't a costumer, was a friend because he stood there before we ordered, while we ordered & after) anyway, the two young ladies looked at us & stared play rock, paper scissors to see who would take us. as a costumer that's super disrespectful to see & makes you feel unwanted. decided to let that go &'give them another chance but they were both literally so rude & we could tell that we were such an inconvenience to them. if your get annoyed by costumers coming in, then don't work at a costumer service based job. maybe this isn't the right job choice for them. if i could i would give them a -1 star. read more

The workers Monse and Gabriel were extremely nice and hard working. They helped me immediately and I didn't have to wait for my food. La Michoacana Plus carries about 20 to 30 different flavor popsicles and all of the ones I have tried have been really good. I stopped in the Galleria for a quick in and out at Oakley and La Michoacana Plus Was staring at me as I came through the second story door by the garage parking A...I haven't seen a place like this since I left my old company are you and the ice cream flavors are awesome, and the Bionicos ( like a fruit salad with sweet cream and coconut and raisins) was super tasty! They have all kinds of Latin ice cream flavors like the abuelita chocolate ice cream! And patron tequila with raisins..(so good!) Honestly, it's expensive and they don't even serve well. The scoops of ice cream are mediocre and small compared to any other ice cream shop. The girl who works there always seems to have an attitude and no customer service skills. She gave 2 scoops of ice cream to a little boy (the 2nd scoop of ice cream wasn't even placed well on the cone) he takes a lick of the ice cream and it immediately falls on the ground. The mom had to pay full price and the workers did not even offer to give the little boy his 2nd scoop of ice cream back or at least a discount so they could get another scoop of ice cream. For the price you're paying and the amount you get, you might as well go to Baskin Robbins for a bigger portion. read more
