It's a small ice cream truck located on the street right in front on whole foods. My son loved it. There's plenty of parking inside the Plaza or on the street. The owner let us know he makes the donuts fresh every day so we got ice cream on the donut bun. The donuts were so fluffy and they don't put a crazy amount of ice cream, so together it was the perfect serving. Doesn't have you feeling super full and yucked out after. The ice cream of your choice is scooped into the inside of a warmed and sweet bun (apparently totaling only 200 calories) and then you can add toppings of your choice (one adding an x amount of calories) onto the ice cream and then the other half of the bun is pressed over the ice cream creating a blend of hot and cold deliciousness. Where do I begin ? I met the owner Armen at my friend's food truck. He told me about his ice cream truck. This was about 20 days ago. For the first time, I tried it today, and let me tell yall, it is a unique and one of a kind in a fantastic way idea he came up with and just to make sure I ate two of them and OH MY GOD, it was beyond what I expected. Anyone passes this place, must try their donut ice cream, and I'll tell you all, It is exactly as it sounds. They make the donut in the house, and then they cut it open and fit it with 2 scoops or whatever ice cream of your choosing. To whoever reads this comment, please please go and support my guy in this one of a kind business idea. And I almost forgot the ambiance of this truck is just on point, the guy has a boom box right outside the truck in the back bumping some great, great music to keep people passing buy entertained. Was searching for ice cream in Glendale and came across Ponchs Ice Cream on my iPhone maps. I told my wife let's check it out since it's an Armenian small business. Located outside of Whole Foods, a ice cream truck playing Aram Asatryan on the loud speaker, I knew it was gonna be an adventure. Ponch was passionate about his craft, told us the story of how the idea came to life, we had 2 donut ice creams, vanilla with sprinkles and cookies and cream with fruity pebbles, got a another little one for my 2 year old. Absolutely amazing, the donut is made fresh, super light, a great combo. I would have taken a pic but on a Sunday afternoon at 6pm with the sun out, we devoured the ice creams. Major props to Ponch, hustling ice cream, keeping families happy, a young man his age could be out doing nothing with the homies but Ponch was getting his hustle on and providing great service.
