First time tried this and liked it. It was decent flavor and good creamy rich texture. We tried salted caramel and chocolate flavors. We will be back for more flavors. Service was good too.

The Jacksons... You win free ice cream on me if you recognize the pattern. Yes, that's right: these are all siblings who have seamlessly worked together in their respective fields. I raise the list to include Mia and Mark Pedersen - the brother and sister team behind the ice creamery Moo Moo Mia with locations in both Montrose and Monrovia. You won't find Mia and Mark bickering or partaking in sibling rivalry; but you WILL find them creating quality, home made ice cream for Angelinos. Mark and Mia made their way from Denmark to Los Angeles in 2009 initially working in a Danish franchise despite both having a background in ice cream-making. When Covid hit in 2020 with its path of destruction to so many businesses; Mark and Mia decided they should cut their losses and create their own company that they can rely on their decision-making and thus Moo Moo Mia was born. Moo Moo Mia strives to produce Grade-A ice cream using crème de la crème ingredients such as milk from Scott Brother Dairy cows (another sibling company where cows roam free on 900 acres and are hormone free producing sensational milk) and offer unique flavor combinations. After a recent poor gelato experience at another LA business; my boyfriend and I decided to reward ourselves with ice cream from Moo Moo Mia on Honolulu in Montrose (this was our second time at this location). Nestled in the charming central Montrose corridor; Moo Moo Mia welcomes with a pastel color wheel façade/signage and a small square footage ice cream shop. When I say 'small'; I genuinely mean small as Moo Moo Mia is tiny with a display case/order counter and a claustrophobic standing room space with a few loose tables outside. This is definitely an "order and get out" establishment. Due to this congestion, Moo Moo Mia felt a bit hectic on both of our visits which always makes one feel guilty to ask for samples in order to not hold up the line. The flavor options at Moo Moo Mia aren't super extensive (there isn't that much to choose from) BUT there do have those unique combinations Mia and Mark boast of with pride. I have sampled a few flavors at Moo Moo Mia such as Honey Lavender (Sweet cream ice cream layered with delicate ribbons of lavender and finished with a touch of raw organic honey - so good with perfect lavender notes!), March flavor of ice cream with Luck Charms marshmallows and Sweet Taro. On our second visit, my boyfriend kept it simple with a single cone ($5.50) of Madagascar Vanilla Bean (Made with imported ground Madagascar vanilla beans) and a kid's cup ($4.25) of March's monthly flavor Coconut Ube for me. Mark and Mia aren't exaggerating about Moo Moo Mia's ice cream as it truly is quite good: creamy, thick and not overly sweet; the texture is perfection. The Honey Lavender holds my heart but the Coconut Ube was also delicious although it tasted of 95% ube with a small 5% after taste of coconut water. Good thing I like Ube! My boyfriend's vanilla was, in his words, "The best vanilla!" and I agree that Moo Moo Mia truly elevates a basic flavor making it extra special. The consensus is that the ice cream is wonderful, no doubt. The customer service at Moo Moo Mia leaves a lot to be desired, however. During both visits the associates were very dry, somewhat curt - although not rude, per se - and are literally only there to get the job done and that's it. Even though this isn't too terrible; it prevents Moo Moo Mia from being a perfect experience. Moo Moo Mia is a delicious and quality option for an ice cream treat that you can truly taste but the lack of numerous flavor options, the teen-tiny shop and the customer service are flaws that keep it from being exceptional. Despite this, Moo Moo Mia is recommended for all ice cream lovers - whether you have a sibling or not!
This small ice cream shop is located in downtown Monrovia. It's open daily - Mon-Thurs -12-10pm - Fri & Sat - 11am-11pm - Sun - 11am-10pm Parking was ok since there was free nearby parking spaces and parking lot not too far Service was friendly and welcoming Inside was quite small with limited seating Pricing was reasonable and there was a good variety of scoops, sundaes, shakes, pints, and baked goods! Loved the variety of flavors, such as: taro, banana nut bread, ferrero rocher! SCOOPS - Double: $7 - Single: $5.50 - Kids: $4.25 - Triple: $8.50 - Trio Sampler: $7.50 (includes 1 full size & 2 half scoops) Got the Trio Sampler - Got the Double Coffee Chip, Ferrero Rocher, and banana nut bread. The Ferrero Rocher was so delicious! It was so creamy with bits of the chocolate! Definitely a must try! The Double Coffee Chip was so yummy! Not too sweet and very strong coffee flavor without being too bitter! Definitely recommend! The banana nut bread was pretty good and had bits of nuts and banana bread! Overall, this was 9/10 Definitely enjoyed the ice cream and would recommend and return!
Pretty good ice cream but a little on the sweet side for me. I recently stopped here for some ice cream with family. They have a nice selection of flavors, and the staff is kind and willing to give you tastes of whatever you like. I wish they were a little less sweet in their concussions, but it's a very popular place anyway. Maybe it's just my taste buds!
Just when you think you've tasted every delicious flavor of ice cream, a long comes a small brother and sister shop that changes the game. This incredible parkour takes its creativity very seriously. They have the standard flavors you would expect and then the eyes see combinations you were not expecting. For myself, I saw one offering that I knew instantly I had to try. Kate, the friendly server behind the counter offered me a taste sample. She handed it to me on a spoon that was not made of plastic. It was an actual silver plated spoon. I knew then in there that this wasn't just any ordinary ice cream factory the selection I chose was a White Chocolate and Bischoff blend. I love White Chocolate and I love Bischoff cookies. The combination was as perfect a pairing as ham and eggs or Kraft Macaroni and Cheese. Kate was so pleased at my reaction. When she told me that they change flavors monthly, I asked her if this flavor would be staying for a while. Sadly, she told me it's probably going to be replaced next month and I instantly asked her to please tell the owners how incredible this flavor is so they will keep it or at least bring it back I don't usually go berserk on ice cream, but this store and the people who work there are so incredibly kind, I am going to have to make my way back to this town as soon as possible . The prices are incredibly low as well. I couldn't believe how inexpensive it was and how tasty their ice cream is. The ambiance is also pleasant and very clean. The shop is owned by a brother and sister team , Mark and Mia. I implore everyone who is able to get there to patronize this wonderful business if you love ice cream, make this a destination. You will not regret it. Oh and Mark and Mia, please keep the White Chocolate and Bischoff.
This was our first time at MooMoo Mia. There were seats outside for you to enjoy the icecream. A variety or flavors with seasonal options were on display upon arrive. You have the option for scoops, waffle cones and regular comes. We got the lavender and caramel and fig. A bit too sweet for my liking but service was quick.
Alternative dessert choice when dining at Casa Cordoba. Multiple delicious choices of wonderful ice creams. Just beware: I thought that one could build a single portion with 3 flavors, but they instead towered 3 scoops on top of each other and on top of a narrow cone - almost an art to balance... but delicious!
Delicious and unique ice cream & also vegan options. Excellent service by Leah and all the staff members are amazing, kind, friendly, and hardworking. Excellent location in our beautiful small town of Montrose. Inside is very clean
In the location of the previous Paradis iteration, Moo Moo Mia is a great replacement worth talking about. Somehow, their recipes are more like the old Paradis than the new one that opened down the street. In a word, excellent! Service is always prompt and helpful, including delivery (yes, I did have a brownie sundae delivered once and it was excellent). Ambiance is cute and local. Delicious flavors that rotate with the seasons. Free parking in the amazing Montrose parking lots, metered parking in front. Fresh, delicious ice cream is good any time, any day, any season. Highly recommended.
Cute tiny ice cream spot in my local heart of Montrose. A few flavors change monthly and it always suprises me in the best ways--they're so creative! I frequently stop by here with my friends whenever were craving something sweet and cold on a hot day. Love this place:))

Finally a nice, warm day that created an excuse for an ice cream scoop! While walking around Montrose, my husband got a craving so we stopped by Moo Moo Mia to check out their flavors which seemed enticing. Small, cute shop on Honolulu in Montrose, with a few cute tables outside and a cute cone as trash can. We sampled one of their flavors of the month: rose water pistachio ice cream which was nice (they do change flavors monthly, so that adds variety). We settled for stracciatella and dulche de leche with brownies. Both, nice, creamy, fun flavors with adds on. Very nice customer service, the young lady working here was helpful and fun to char with. Prices- somewhere in between. It was nice to enjoy our treat outside and feel like we were on vacation, relaxing in the sun. Nice flavors, cute ice-cream shop in Montrose! They have another location in Monrovia, so it's a small local business. We'll be back for more... flavors!
Delectable and sweet! You get to sample the ice cream flavors. I really enjoyed the Sea Salt Caramel. I got the Kids Scoop and it was the perfect amount for me for a sweet little treat. The staff were very nice and helpful! This is a small shop, so it would be grab and go. read more

Moo Moo Mia is small, charming ice cream shop. They have relatively simple flavors that are executed perfectly. I try to eat healthy, so having ice cream isn't something I do often, but after my first sample I knew I wouldn't be able to hold back. I ordered a double scoop and got one of the Orange Creamsicle and one of Nut Your Average Scoop. Both were delicious, but the Orange Creamsicle was my favorite. It was a refreshing take on the classic flavor. I especially loved the bits of orange zest sprinkled throughout. It only took one visit for me to become a fan of Moo Moo Mia and I can't wait to visit again! read more

Cute and colorful! Friendly service and great ice cream! I got one of their seasonal flavors which was peanut butter Oreo and my friend got another seasonal flavor, banana nut bread. We both really enjoyed our choices. Grab a cone or a scoop in a cup, sit outside at some of their tables, or stroll the town. read more

Cute ice cream shop, friendly service! We visited on a Friday night and found Moo Moo Mia pretty busy. I chose the Peppermint Cocoa ice cream and my boyfriend got the dairy-free Strawberry. Both were fantastic! I loved that the Peppermint Cocoa had little marshmallow pieces. The Strawberry was impressively creamy for being dairy-free and tasted like actual strawberries, not just artificial flavoring. Overall, worth the visit! read more
We felt like some ice cream after a long day of Volleyball. We found this awesome ice cream shop in Montrose. They had some special flavors that we tried like Sweet Taro and Honeycomb & Cornflakes. Both these flavors were so good! The honeycomb cornflakes was like eating cereal and milk. We also tried their Banana nut bread, as well as the limited edition, which was a peanut butter flavor. The nice server asked if we had any allergies to walnuts, because the Banana nut bread contained them. Very professional to ask! All flavors were so good, not too sweet, very creamy, and simply delicious. It's a small venue that also sells the flavors in to-go pints. Service was great and very helpful and friendly staff. The store had good lighting and simple, clean decor. There is seating and some tables outside, and a cool ice cream cone trash receptacle. If in the area, come check this place out! Found this place while partaking in the wine walk this weekend. We had looked it up and the seasonal flavors sounded tasty. There was a little bit of a line (always a good sign) but it moved pretty smoothly and we were attended to in no time. They let us sample a few flavors. My partner and I originally went in thinking we were going to order their seasonal flavors but after testing a few other options we went with the strawberry sorbet and the chocolate something. They sounds basic, but they were GOOD! I later found out that their fruit sorbet changes depending on what they can get from the farmers market or local fruit vendor. I don't usually go for strawberry but I really enjoyed it here. My partner really enjoyed his chocolate flavor too. It was rich and just decadent enough. We both got single scoops and at first I thought, that's pretty small, haha. But honestly, it's more than enough. I don't know if it was because of the wine walk going on at the same time, but there was little space to sit and enjoy. We walked a bit and found a side bench to sit and enjoy our treat and just people watch for a bit. Definitely worth coming back to and checking out more flavors. read more

Yes , ice cream in the morning IS GOOD FO YOU :) Rich , creamy , incredibly tasteful ice cream but what made it priceless was the girl behind the counter with her BBB ( Big Bright Blue) eyes and a striking smile kindly operating the place . Running a small businesses specially retail is not easy now days so definitely must support our local ,independent shops like this . I know I will , Driving all the way here from Burbank until there is one opening up in Burbank :) keep up the Good work BBBG! read more
Cute little shop formerly known as Paradis. Still has the same interesting flavors of ice cream you definitely won't find at big name shops like Rite Aid. So hard to choose!! Thank goodness for small samples to try. Cost per scoop is also a little high, but it's nice to treat yourself sometimes. Few small tables outside. People watch while you enjoy your treat. They thankfully still do 5 stars. Sign up and get a free small scoop for your birthday. Plenty of free parking in a lot a short walk away or street parking if you are lucky to find a spot. read more
Amazing! OTMC brought me to Montrose. SUCH a cute area!! I thought the shop was adorbs and was excited to go in. Lina helped me and was an absolute sweetheart. I did a cookie Sunday and we did it all chocolate free! Sea salt caramel was fire as was the banana flavor. Perfect amount of banana. The oatmeal raisin cookie was perfect as well. I was just talking about how I lived butterfingers and the Halloween candy was still out. Guess what was in it?! Double stoked now! I will definitely be back. Planning a day to hang out over there. Will I go by Moo Moo's? You bet your butt! Cute shop, great service, delicious product! read more
