Had breakfast with my friend who flew in from out of town and it was so lovely! The food was so good and the place was very cute! Service was nice, but you do have to go in to order, otherwise great!

There is no avacado

We've been coming to this place for the past 4 years and truly loved it under the previous owners. Unfortunately, ever since the new ownership took over, the experience has completely changed and the quality it's not the same at alllll The new owner was extremely rude, unprofessional, and clearly lacks customer service skills. Today, on Mother's Day, we ordered avocado toast and quiche with salad. After waiting nearly 40 minutes, our food finally arrived -- and I was honestly shocked by the portion size and the poor quality of the avocado toast (I'll attach the photo). After politely speaking to the waiter and waiting for assistance, no one came back. I eventually had to go inside myself and speak directly to the owner. Instead of resolving the issue properly, she simply said they couldn't remake it and offered "extra avocado" instead. After waiting another 5 minutes, she told me to go sit outside and they would bring it out. They brought very tiny avocado slices. What should have been a beautiful Mother's Day experience was completely ruined. In the end, my husband had to go inside and request a refund. We are beyond disappointed and will never return. Customers deserve kindness, respect, and proper service -- and sadly this place no longer offers any of that. Avoid this place if you value good service and being treated with respect.

Fresh delicious coffee next level thank you

The service was impeccable such a home welcoming environment Thank you for the wholesome hospitality the food. The drinks are delicious. Well crafted and a lot of love and passion reflects in the food and service we received today thank you so much. Did I mention the coffee was amazing, if that much detail and love and passion was put into a simple little cup of coffee no wonder the salmon salad was next level. Thank you again. Definitely see you guys again.

What is there not like about this cute little quaint place adorable have wonderful time. Food was fantastic. Love that salad comes with no matter this breakfast lunch or dinner. Next time I come back to town I will definitely be going there for another taste.

Very cute cafe! Looks small but there's a good amount of seating available which was nice. Delicious food! Loved everything we ate. If you like your coffee stronger I would definitely recommend getting the extra shot. The latte I got (vanilla) didn't have a super vanilla-y taste, so it tasted more like milk and coffee. But everything was great! Service was fast and the servers/ cashier were nice. This is an order at the counter place btw!

Breakfast Burrito, cheesy and yummy with excellent nopales salsa.

Laid back, clean, great food, and friendly staff. Went on a beautiful Sunday morning and there were plenty of customers but no problem grabbing a table, either inside or outside. I gota Nutella latte and a breakfast burrito. Both were excellent. Breakfast burrito was slightly crispy outside, probably have been pressed while heated. I believe the yellow-hued salsa it came with has nopales in it - it was delicious with the burrito. No olive oil cake today, but I'll be back!

I was looking for a cute lunch spot to take my gf to before heading to descanso gardens and passed by this cafe. We decided to try it out after searching their menu online. I ordered a creme brulee french toast and a turkey sandwich. The creme brulee french toast was my favorite of the two. The toasts had a strong egg flavor and went really well with the slightly sweeter creme brulee cream and strawberries. A little bit of powdered sugar on top helped with the sweetness too. I ate most of the turkey sandwich because my gf liked the french toast more. I was expecting the turkey sandwich to be heavy but it felt surprisingly light. It bacon inside wasn't greasy or oily. The addition of red onions and avocado gave both a crunch and a creamy texture to the sandwich. There was a generous amount of turkey meat too. Overall, I was glad I found this place. It was an incredible experience while eating. We sat outside in the shade where there was also a slight breeze in 80 degree F weather. The cleaner air and delicious food along with the setting was just impeccable. We will be coming back to try other things on the menu.

Delicious food with in a cute atmosphere. Lots of healthy options. We had the veggie omelette that comes with salad and a veggie quiche with goat cheese. Well will definitely comeback for the food and friendly service.

Ask the Community - Café Montrose

Is there new ownership at Cafe Montrose? I've been eating here for the past three years. It seems very different now.

Don't know about Sarin P., but my experiences here have been nothing short of GREAT. I come here frequently and often see a bunch of regulars - I'll leave it at that.

Is this cafe owned by the same people of the former C'est la Vie?

Yes

We luckily found street parking up front, otherwise they have a small street nearby that you can probably park in as well. Only two people were ahead of us when we walked in but shortly after, the place filled up with the line almost out the door! There was only one worker but she made it work and she was fast! Cute decor and vibes inside. I wanted to try the pistachio bliss that everyone seemed to rave about but since their seasonal menu was out, I went for the toffee nut iced latte. The drinks are a bit on the pricier side, cute cups though! Something about the drink I got was a little off putting. Idk if it was whatever spice they used but I was not crazy about it. I definitely want to come back and try the pistachio at some point though! Getting out of my parking spot was rough. Busy street but also some annoying guy parked in the red zone behind me, basically bumper to bumper and then another girl in front had A LOT of room in front of her and just didn't give me enough room. I luckily made it out but very annoying! Anyway, still looking forward to coming back to try their pistachio bliss! IG: @ammysalamii

I awoke early that morning with a singular objective. Suit and tie adorned, a sense of urgency…read morecoursing through my veins, I embarked upon a rather important delivery...its contents shall remain undisclosed, though I will say there was a considerable load occupying the trunk of my vehicle. I found myself in a city with which I was not particularly acquainted, and, having arrived ahead of schedule, was suddenly presented with that rarest of luxuries: time. Naturally, one thought immediately consumed me... coffee. Being unfamiliar with the surrounding terrain, my first instinct was Starbucks. Familiar. Reliable. Safe. And yes, there was one nearby. But then I thought to myself... Alex, is this really the man you wish to be? Why not place my faith in a smaller establishment? Risky? Perhaps. Bold? Certainly. Precisely the sort of gamble I have come to embrace. And thus, I arrived at Reborn Coffee. As something of a coffee connoisseur myself...a title bestowed upon me by absolutely no governing body...I entered the establishment with cautious optimism and modest expectations. I was promptly greeted by a kind gentleman behind the register. His name, regrettably, remains unknown to me. A mysterious figure. A guardian of the bean, if you will. I elected to order my usual: an iced vanilla latte with oat milk. Humble? Yes. Simple? Certainly. But simplicity, when executed correctly, is one of life's greatest demonstrations of excellence. My beverage arrived approximately 3.5 milliseconds later. I was stunned. Already? Speculation began circulating within my mind. Suspicion mounted. Questions arose. Could something produced at such tremendous velocity truly possess quality? I raised the cup. I took my first sip. Gentle reader... my third eye opened. The latte was magnificent. Smooth, flavorful, refreshing, and precisely what a gentleman undertaking a high-stakes morning delivery required. Any doubts I previously harbored vanished instantaneously. I was humbled. Perhaps even spiritually recalibrated. To the kind gentleman at the register, and to every individual behind the scenes responsible for this extraordinary caffeinated intervention: thank you. You did not simply prepare a beverage..you provided sustenance during a moment of great logistical importance. May prosperity follow each and every one of you. May your beans remain fresh, your oat milk plentiful, and your espresso machines forever operational. Reborn Coffee... our encounter may have been brief, but it shall not be forgotten. Until destiny places us beneath the same roof once more.... Au revoir reborn coffee.... Au Revoir

The coffee shop is a good size with many tables available for seating inside. It has huge windows so it's nice that the natural light shines through. Really welcoming vibe and excellent customer service. During this visit we ordered the Coconut Mocha Latte and Honey Hojicha Latte. Both lattes were delicious and hot, freshly made and brewed just how I like them. The coconut and mocha were a perfect blend. It wasn't too sweet and the espresso balanced out the taste of the coconut and mocha. The Honey Hojicha is also on point as it's not too sweet. The honey didn't over power the taste of espresso. We can't wait to come back and try other coffee drinks on Reborn Coffee's menu.

We got lucky lol! They have some nice seating and tables on the side of their building down that same residential street and they also have umbrellas for shade which is nice. Walked in and what a beautiful cafe! You immediately notice all the musical instruments which makes me think they have live music some times. Ordered at the counter and asked what their "RAF Latte" was and the guy mentioned it was for the customers who wanted them to be more on the sweeter side and less strong so I went for their Horchata latte. Took a few minutes to get my drink but as soon as I saw it, it looked absolutely delish! And it was. Super creamy, still on the sweeter side but the creaminess is what I loved most about it. Still strong enough for my liking so I would definitely come back and get it again! IG: @ammysalamii
