Best americano I've had in years! Friendly and delicious (and reasonable prices) - can't ask for more!

I have been here a few years ago and earlier today I was passing by when I noticed it and stopped to get coffee. They roast the coffee on premises, it's delicious. I got an iced coffee with milk. Finished it all really fast. The place looks very dated it could use some redecorating. It will bring them a lot more business. There are two tables right outside the door and that's about it. It's more for to go I would say. I did see a few pastries on display but didn't look too appetizing. I'll just come for the coffee. It's good.

This is my second review. I just love her coffee and her service. The owner is the sweetest woman and will make you exactly what you want. Her coffee beans are low acidity (which I learned today) and she really cares about her product. My go to is a hot or iced vanilla latte, less sweet (she'll ask if you want less or more sweet), and deliciously perfect every time.

I've been a Burbank resident now for almost a year, and I enjoy looking for local coffee shops in the area. I've tried several attempts to try out San Marco Coffee, but their hours are a bit scattered. However, on one particular morning, I finally had the chance to try out their coffee. I ordered an iced latte for myself and a mocha latte for my partner. When I went inside, there was only one barista working the counter and preparing orders. I'm assuming that she is the owner of the coffee shop. She was really nice and attentive to the customers, but business was getting busy, and I felt a bit bad that she had to handle everything by herself. Overall, our drinks were alright but a bit run-down and watery, which is why I am taking away one star. I had to add extra creamer in mine to balance out the flavor.

I get my freshly roasted coffee beans here on a weekly basis. The owner really knows coffee and can make a great recommendation.

This place came highly recommended. However, do not order the iced coffee. It tasted several days old.

Love the lattes!!!! Hidden gem in Burbank! Starbucks is inferior because you can taste the roasted coffee beans on site!

The main thing that stands out here is their 1987 coffee roaster which is the center piece of the cafe. They roast various single origin beans on a daily basis, so you know you can purchase some fresh coffee beans here. If you need your beans grounded, they do grind it for you depending on your brewing method. They have beans of light roast, medium roast and dark roast and sell by various weights for a very reasonable price. They also sell various tea leaves, baked goods (croissant, muffin, scones, bagel, Danish, coffee cake, Dessert Therapy cookies, and merchs. They also have a seasonable menu that changes. When I went, it was the Sakura season menu. Staff were all friendly and were very willing to answer any questions regarding the menu. Please note, the base coffee blend for each day varies and rotates on a daily basis For my visit, I tried ... 1. Buttered Coffee (4.5/5) The base coffee for the day was the Peru single origin, which was well-balanced; slightly sweet with a hint of tartness and nuttiness. They then add a chunk of butter into the coffee, which helps cut some of the acidity, but also is supposed to enhance the caffeine effect and give you additional energy from the fat. It does leave a layer of fat/oiliness so if you are not a fan of that, then this may not be for you. The butter did give it a subtle buttery flavor, which I personally liked. 2. Matcha with Sakura Cold Foam (4/5) The matcha was blended smoothly and was not grassy at all. The Sakura cold foam didn't really taste like Sakura (been to Japan, so know what real Sakura flavor should taste like), but instead, just tasted floral. 3. Columbia Supremo Whole Beans Full body and aromatic. Good for those who like to drink black coffee 4. Guatemala Huehuetenango Whole Beans: Crisp, acidic and a hint of nuttiness Glad I found this local roaster where I'll definitely be coming back to get some more fresh beans.

I also ordered a pastry and was surprised they don't have an oven to warm it up, which made the experience less enjoyable. I understand every shop operates differently, but I wish this was clearer beforehand. Hoping they improve the coffee quality and offer a way to heat pastries in the future.

She was genuinely engaged in talking about coffee, understood the beans she was serving, and was able to answer questions without hesitation. That's becoming harder to find these days, and it definitely added to the overall experience. The cortado itself was well executed. The temperature was right where it should be, allowing the flavors to come through immediately without having to wait for the drink to cool down. I was able to clearly taste the notes in the coffee, and the balance between the espresso and milk was excellent. The body held together nicely throughout the drink and never felt thin or watered down. My only critique would be that the crema and microfoam leaned a little more matte and foamy than glossy. It wasn't enough to take away from the drink, but a slightly silkier, shinier texture would have elevated it even further. That said, this was an Ethiopian natural, which can be a bit trickier to dial in and pair with milk while still preserving the character of the coffee, so it's a fairly minor criticism. Overall, a very good cortado from a shop that clearly cares about coffee. Good execution, proper temperature, clear flavor separation, and knowledgeable staff always make for a better coffee experience.
