I have to say I'm impressed how much the service has improved over the last couple months. We no longer have to wait for 20 min to get our drink and food orders! The earlier you come the better because there are times they get really busy and there's a line. Lots of tables inside to sit at and some outside as well. Parking is in the back unless you find street parking in front. I love the seasonal drinks they offer, and the spinach egg wrap is my favorite for breakfast.
The baklava latte was amazing, I wish the rose petals were crushed on top of the drink instead of just placed on the plate but overall I would rate the coffee a 7/10. I believe it was seasonal but I hope it stayed on the menu year round ! The breakfast sandwich was decent. I would rate it a 7/10 as well. It's big enough to share and honestly was filling. I loved the vibe of the cafe, the service was good and a big plus was that it was dog friendly ! Kinda wish the sit down orders were sent to the table instead of pick up but not really a deal breaker Overall I enjoyed the coffee and food . Definitely recommend coming here for a weekend pick me up !
Laidrey is a super charming addition to the valley cafe scene and it's very much beloved by all the people I've watch come by and get their drinks. Street parking is the usual in this area. The people are very nice and patient while you figure out your drink. I like how you can watch them roast their coffee beans in house and they'll talk to you if you're curious about the process. My hojicha was pretty watered down but my friend's holiday espresso drink was really delicious. Come for the coffee for sure. Really love the lighting and seating. Quiet ambience and shares a space next door to a cute bookstore.
Laidrey has been on Ventura, and I made the mistake of going to the further one from me - oops! The back area has a small parking lot, but they don't have easily accessible parking here, so it's easier to go on the streets. It will take a small while of searching around the block, but there's parking! The staff are welcoming from the moment one enters, and their coffee was on the darker side - definitely packed just a strong enough kick! Not bitter at all, and really left you craving sip after sip. Working here was really easy and relaxing, as it's a fairly big location. They also have Wi-Fi, which is appreciated for those work / study sessions. And if you're interested, there's also a small community board.

I got the iced vanilla bean latte with almond milk and my boyfriend got the iced honey lavender latte with oat milk. I asked for my vanilla bean slightly less sweet and I recommend getting it the usual sweetness - when I tried it, it wasn't quite sweet enough, so they don't overdo it here. I still liked the lavender flavoring a bit more but enjoyed both. I really appreciated that their non-dairy milks aren't extra charge. Their lattes are pretty pricey so it kinda evens out, but still. They have a cute pay it forward section towards the back by the water where you can buy a coffee for someone, so if the note applies to you (i.e. if it says this coffee is for a struggling salon owner, etc.) then you can redeem it. Sweet idea.
Every single time I come here, it feels like I'm making my matcha and breakfast in my kitchen at home. The food, drinks, and the team are all awesome. It's bright, beautiful, welcoming and it's always a vibe for me to get a lot of work done and get my day started. I love the team and the new additions to the menu, hellooooo Curry Patties and in-house Pistachio Milk for my matcha is chefs kiss! Love this place! I'm so happy I was able to find a new coffee shop when I moved into the neighborhood. Yay!!!
I visited on a Friday morning around 11am. When I arrived, there was no line, but one started forming shortly after. The person who took my order was so sweet and friendly. I ordered an iced matcha latte and a burrito. They were both good! The space is roomy with plenty of seating. I stayed to enjoy my food and there were a lot of people on their laptops working. It's a great spot to get work done!
Seriously, I am obsessed with Laidrey's! The only reason I would give it 4 stars, though, is that they are a little pricey for what you get, especially the iced drinks. Otherwise, I love their food options, their seating is very cozy and always comfortable for reading, catching up with a friend, or getting some work done. If you're in a rush for food a drink, maybe go elsewhere though because as a leisurely cafe, they do like to take their time!
The best coffee shop in the area I have a Spanish latte daily and one of the only places where the press there oat milk in house. Not only the coffee is great the i also recommend the breakfast burritos, kish, and the ham and cheese croissant. Always good vibes here the place is full of different people working on different types things, perfect place to network and get stuff done. And service is great of course everybody knows my name and my order before i even ask highly recommended
Laidrey Coffee Roasters serves some of the smoothest espresso I've had in the Valley--silky, rich, and noticeably less acidic than most spots. They roast their beans in-house and the quality absolutely comes through in every sip. The café is surprisingly spacious with plenty of seating, and the staff has been consistently friendly. Prices feel fair for the quality. The only challenge is parking. I've only visited in the early mornings, and it can be tough to find a spot. It might ease up after 9am when the Ventura Blvd. meters open up. They're cashless, so come prepared. If you're serious about good coffee, this place is an easy recommendation.
First time visiting Laidrey and the cashier was very kind! She gave us a quick rundown of the menu including their seasonal drinks. Although the strawberry matcha didn't have strawberry puree, the matcha still had a very good strawberry flavor with great quality matcha. The burrito was very delicious as well with egg, tater tots, avocado, and bacon. I do wish it was a bigger burrito though! The ambiance is great to get work done and they have a clean restroom available!
I love a coffee shop who absolutely know their beans! I just spent the last hour talking to the manager Rachel and it's just so wonderful to come to a coffee shop and talk about the nuance of coffee. As an espresso and Americano lover who also regularly pull my own espresso shots at home, I understand there is so much that goes into crafting great espresso shots. The Papua New Guinea medium roast they use here was fantastic, with a bright, milk chocolate finish and excellent balance. It's not available to buy as whole beans, but I'll be sure to come back when do they have it in a week or so. In the mean time, I'm looking forward to pulling my own espresso shots with their bag of Nicaraguan, Honey Process Medium Roast whole beans.

This coffee shop is just down the street from us which makes it even better! The baristas are all so thoughtful and sweet! I love that Laidrey does a give back for those who want to buy someone a drink! Their coffee is all roasted in house and delicious! They also are always upgrading and updating the interior. My one complaint is that the only accessible spot is in the back and the back door is marked as not an entrance. This makes accessibility support challenging for those who need it. read more

Super cute shop! Love the mural outside! Service is slow and disjointed, not quite sure what's going on there. I've been twice and once was on and once was horrible wait and everyone behind me was gone as I waited in a ham and cheese croissant that wasn't even warmed up. Speaking up ham and cheese croissant- mediocre 3/5. Nothing special. Korean breakfast burrito definitely has potential but the way the egg was cooked was so so wrong- please scramble it. Biting into unseasoned solid yolk and white was not pleasant. Had a maple oat latte was the highlight! So delicious! Added CBD and I was chillin! Delicious! Ordered the hubs the vanilla cloud matcha- he said Starbucks is better. Do not recommend for matcha lovers. Second time ordered him the iced chai and he said that was delightful! read more

Laidrey is my favorite coffee shop. I come here almost daily with my dog, and every visit feels warm and welcoming. The staff is amazing, and the coffee is always top notch. It is the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a great cup. I especially want to give a shoutout to the hardworking team! I have seen them handle incredibly busy rushes with the same smiles and grace they show during the quiet moments when I am the only one there. That kind of consistency really stands out. I wish I knew the full staff list because everyone contributes to making this place so special, but just to name a few, Jay, Paige, Kyler, Ari, and Rachel, thank you!! Came here for a quick coffee while waiting for my husband to come. I had not had americano before so I tried that and I did not like it. They were kind enough and made me something else, staff were great. I dont recall what I got but it was just okay. Service however was great. read more

I visited Laidrey to try their cappuccino with regular milk. It was an okay tasting cappuccino. Unfortunately I tasted a burnt/bitter espresso bean taste and the latte art needed work. Would I come back? No, can't take the chance again on a simple cappuccino. Service was nice and friendly. Ambiance was nice, plenty of seats all around inside and outside. This coffee girl has been wanting to go here for a while! So when my fellow yelp friend Jasmine wanted to meet for coffee, we agreed this was the place! Now if you know me then you know I am VERY picky about my coffee...(Think Meg Ryan in "When Harry Met Sally," when they stop at the diner to get something to eat on their way home from college)...Yay, that's me... Not a lot of seating inside. They have a few tables out front & a small bar area, We sat there until someone left and we could grab a table. I ordered an Extra Hot Breve Latte with 3 shots of espresso & a banana muffin. It took a while before it was ready...*sigh* & it was luke warm...They remade it quickly and it was good but it didn't wow me. *Metered Parking - can get tricky depending on the time of day *Some side street parking but make sure you read the signs *Get your coffee to go since seating is not readily available in the later part of the morning. read more

Found out about this place while looking for new cafe places to try an stumbled upon this one. By far one of my top favorite lattes. The atmosphere is spacious and has lots of seating, but does fill up quickly. I enjoy how rich and velvety the lattes are because it pairs perfectly well with their chocolate croissant which is also a must try. Heads up tho it does get busy so make sure to come early! read more

Dear Yelp Community, Visited for the first time (this month). Spacious, with roastery on one side part of the shop, and an opening to an adjacent book and flower shop on the other side as a separate business (Sunny's Bookstore, and Shades of Petals). Indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly staff. I enjoyed my latte with pistachio milk, and there is a food menu, but I only ordered the drink this time. Continued well wishes. Sincerely, Anna read more

Gorgeous big space up north, that was beautifully arranged with touch of greenery, providing a very cozy atmosphere for both casual hangouts as well as quiet focus time. A crowded space, but helpful with background music wasn't overly loud. Some freshly made breakfast menu was served all day long, along with pastries, granola and chia pudding/parfait. I tried their 'That's My Jam Toast', which was the house version of ricotta and jam toast. Kinda expensive for what you got and nothing too special to call out, but I guessed I paid for the nice vibe. Got their Spanish Latte to accompany my toast, which wasn't bad, but nothing distinctive to call out as well. read more

I went to Laidrey Tarzana for the first time yesterday and had a wonderful experience. I ordered the breakfast sandwich (incredibly delicious), an iced chai (wouldn't order again), and a maple oat latte (tasty). I spent most of my day there, studying from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM, and found it enjoyable and easy to focus with headphones. I definitely could have stayed longer if I hadn't had plans later. I like that the music wasn't too loud and that there was ample seating and a clean bathroom. The cashiers and baristas were so sweet and welcoming. I will return and make this place one of my regular study/work spots! read more

I really enjoy the environment. It is clean and comfortable and the coffee is great. If you're looking for a quick coffee this isn't the best spot but if you have time or are looking for a place to work remotely I highly recommend. read more
We love their coffee and pastries (I love their matcha croissant), there's no week we don't ever go here for a small breakfast with coffee and tea. The services is great, but do take note with busy hours - order times can take a bit of time. The ambiance is nice; there's a bookstore and a flower shop beside and multiple seats where you can do work, hangout, study or simply enjoy area. I definitely recommend this place :) read more

I saw that this cafe had good reviews and really wanted a matcha latte. it was a monday around noon and there were a good amount of people in line and in the cafe. they had a cute outdoor seating area as well which looked very comfortable. I waited about 5-10 mins in line and looked over the menu. I saw they had a spring seasonal menu with strawberry matcha that I had to try! supposedly, they use ceremonial grade matcha so I was excited! I got a matcha latte and a strawberry matcha latte (one for my cousin) as well as a matcha croissant. I saw a good review for their almond croissants but when I tried to order it, they said they didn't have it anymore): the matcha lattes were extremely bland- the regular one tasted like milk and the strawberry one like strawberry milk. I felt like they were NOT worth the price ($7 for reg; $8 for strawberry). the matcha powder also wasnt fully whisked and there were a lot of clumps at the bottom of the cup (see pic). the matcha croissant wasnt terrible, but I didn't love it. my cousin said it was good though. it did have a green tea flavor and the consistency of the cream inside was thick, but it wasn't warmed up and was just very average to me. I'm glad to see that they tried to expand their menu and cater to matcha lovers, but I think they should get it right before selling it. overall, the people working there are really nice and I liked the seating options (could see this being a nice study or hangout spot), although it did get quite crowded, but I would not come for their matcha again unless they changed them. I'm not sure how their coffee is as I don't drink coffee, but maybe (hopefully) it's better than their matchas! read more
Laidrey is one of my favorite coffee shops, and that says a lot with how many local coffee shops there are! The iced lavender honey latte is my favorite. It is sweet and earthy making it a perfectly balanced drink. Their monkey toast is amazing. I haven't tried their other toasts because I don't want to order anything but the monkey toast...it's that good. The parking can be a bit rough but it is work the walk. Pro tip: there is a cute little book store attached. There is also a huge TJ Maxx down the block. What's better than a good cup of coffee and shopping?! read more

The lady at the cash register was so nice and helpful -- really made the visit feel welcoming. The space itself is big and open, which is great if you need to get some work done on your laptop. Plenty of room to spread out and chill. That said, the coffee was just okay. Not terrible, but not super memorable either -- I've definitely had better. read more

Is it loud?
The place gets a lot of people that come in to study. But because it's in the center of everything you do get a good flow of people coming in. So it can get a bit noisy, but not loud.
