Cameron made my visit to Nespresso an amazing experience. From the moment I walked into the store, I noticed the clean, welcoming ambiance. It was a great place to browse, even though I wasn't planning to buy a machine. Cameron came over and asked if I needed any help. I told him no because I just wanted to look at the machines. Instead of pressuring me, he started explaining the different machines, the current offers, and what makes Nespresso coffee special. When I first walked in, I felt like other people were kind of ignoring me, but Cameron took the time to answer my questions and share his knowledge. While he was helping me, another employee came over and asked him if he could help someone else. Cameron replied, "I already have a customer," and stayed with me. That made me feel valued and appreciated. He is an excellent salesperson and really knows the products. Even though I wasn't planning to buy anything, he helped me find the right machine, and I ended up purchasing one a couple of weeks ago. After using it for a few weeks, I absolutely love my machine. I'll definitely come back and ask for Cameron again. Just one warning you have to be careful, because he's so good at sales that you might end up buying one too! read more

Here midday Friday. I have always ordered my coffee pods online so I was super excited to find a boutique. You have to be "queued" in prior to entering the boutique. This helps staff with knowing who was next to be helped (especially on busy days). They have a coffee bar where you can sample the coffee, I felt this was a nice touch especially when trying a new flavor. They have various Nespresso machines available along with glassware and a couple of food items. Staff was very helpful and did a fantastic job describing each flavor profile. This location is in the Westfield Mall in Woodland Hills, CA. Plenty of free parking I found the ambiance to be a bit laid back. read more

I had a terrible experience at the Nespresso location in Canoga Park. The bald male employee working there was unbelievably dismissive, condescending, and acted like helping us was a complete inconvenience. We simply asked to sample a specific coffee flavor before purchasing, and instead of politely helping us or explaining why he couldn't, his entire attitude was basically, "leave me alone." What bothered me most was how differently and coldly we felt we were being treated. His demeanor made us feel extremely unwelcome and singled out, to the point where we genuinely questioned whether there was some kind of discriminatory bias behind his behavior. I'm not going to claim to know what was in his head, but that is absolutely how the interaction came across. For a supposedly premium brand like Nespresso, this was embarrassingly poor service. There was nothing welcoming, professional, or luxurious about the experience. The employee came across as arrogant, conceited, and completely uninterested in customers who were standing there ready to spend money. If you hate dealing with customers that much, maybe retail--especially at a premium coffee boutique--isn't the right job for you. Management seriously needs to address how customers are being treated at this location. We walked in wanting to try and purchase coffee and walked out disgusted by the attitude we received. I couldn't post this review for some reason. I went to Nespresso yesterday to buy coffee for my store and didn't know customers had to sign in when entering the store. The woman at the front door (blonde with curly hair) was almost yelling at me instead of politely explaining the process. The overall welcome from the staff wasn't friendly, and it made the atmosphere feel cold and unwelcoming. The only bright spot was Cameron (or Camron), the employee at the register. He said he's Persian, and he was the only person who smiled, welcomed me, and took the time to help me. Because of him, I'm giving this store 4 stars instead of a lower rating. I'm taking off one star because of the poor customer service when I arrived. Since Cameron told me he only works at this location one day a week, I'll probably keep going to the Century City store, where I've always had a much better experience. read more

If you have a Nespresso machine, this store is a must stop. They will have every pod under the sun available for purchase and even free samples of some that might open you up to branch out and get some things out of your usual picks. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. They're happy to both help you make some decisions and let you just roam around and see what your heart desires. Either way, they ensure once you are ready, they get you out and on with your day as quickly as possible. I appreciate that. I will say, however, as a tea drinker, I really wish there was some sort of Nespresso tea option. Or maybe some creamy hot chocolate option. Branch out a bit. I always enjoy buying my coffee from Cameron. He is one of the nicest people at the Topanga Nespresso store. Every time I visit, he greets me warmly, shakes my hand, recommends new coffees, and tells me about the offers of the day. He always makes me feel welcome. The last time I visited and Cameron wasn't there, my experience was very different. Some of the employees ignored me, and the person who helped me didn't smile, seemed very serious, and didn't offer any recommendations or suggestions. I keep coming back because of the excellent customer service Cameron provides. I've been to the nespresso cafe in South Coast Plaza before but this was my first venture into an actual storefront and it was lovely. First, you have to check in with the front if you plan to pick up or purchase an item. If it's a busy weekend, I just recommend putting your name down because there can be quite a long wait regardless. Whether you choose to purchase something or not, you can get a complimentary cup of coffee here which is quite fantastic. I have tried the sampler that came with about 10 different vertuo pods but wow... never realized how large the selection was here. One of the reps was really sweet. She was the only one working the floor at the time and she explained the entire process to me. The person brewing the coffee was also very friendly. He went through a couple suggestions before we landed on the limited edition white chocolate strawberry that was utterly FANTASTIC. I prefer a medium roast because it doesn't have the bold flavor but still has a decent amount of caffeine. The gentleman who was making my coffee let me know that there were medium roasts with extra caffeine in it, which was definitely worth noting. Nespresso pods are not cheap, but I find that their flavor and the quality are quite incomparable. While the majority of my visit was quite lovely, I have to note that the man who rung me up was not friendly at all. When it was finally time for me to place my order, I simply told him I wanted 1 order of the white chocolate strawberry and he questioned me as if it was insane that it was all that I wanted. And once I had paid, he repeatedly said "you're all set" and I was confused because we kept looking at each other. Was I supposed to grab the coffee on my own and walk out the door? After the third time he said that, he said he would be right back and went to the back for what I assume was to package my item and then set me off. He came back a minute later, bag in hand, and handed it off to me. At no point throughout the entire transaction did he make eye contact with me and it was quite an awkward experience. How disappointing. Despite that, I still rate this store quite highly given that the rest of the team was friendly and helpful. I've been to almost every Nespresso store in New York and Los Angeles and I went to the one at Canoga Park yesterday, I have to say this is the worst run nesprrsso store, of any of them. I waited 20 minutes, just watching all 3 staff chit chatting for 15 minutes, obvious to the long line of customers. When I finally went up to one of the sales people to get my pods I told her that the other stores had a dedicated counter to try the espresso, why the other employees just ring up the beans. The last thing you wanna do is have an employee argue with you, how to run a terrible business store Retrain or better yet replace that woman manager They usually have a desk dedicated only to tasting the espresso The sales people, instead of sending customers to try the coffee at the coffee counter, they were all chit chatting for 15 minutes plus, and drinking coffee with the customers . And the line for pods never moved, oblivious. When I told the manager that I had been waiting more the 15 just to buy pods she just argued. SMH. read more

Stopped by Nespresso before dining at the Topanga Social Food Hall. Myself, I'm an Aeropress user for hot coffee, and I also make cold brew using a nut milk bag & pitcher. But, I do enjoy checking out the fancy coffee gadgets now & again. My main purpose was to grab a complimentary pre-dinner coffee. The staff member brewed a cup of Stormio blend, answering questions I had about their various brewing machines. Unfortunately, the store only had sugar and no creamer. I enjoyed the big jolt I had from the rich & strong Nicaraguan & Guatemalan beans, and I gathered info on Nespresso coffee machines. While Nespresso may be out of my price range, this store provides a great opportunity of observing the latest technology in coffee, and come out with a complimentary cup of coffee while shopping the mall. read more

One of the worst customer service experiences I've had - ever. This was my first time visiting a Nespresso store, and I was honestly excited. I saw the Westfield Topanga location and decided to walk in to purchase pods since they're not available in grocery stores. The aroma of coffee and the setup gave the appearance of a luxe coffee bar, so I naturally walked up and asked how I could order a drink. The associate's response? "Well, it's not complimentary." That immediate assumption was rude, condescending, and completely unnecessary. Why would I assume a luxury coffee bar is giving out free drinks? The tone and delivery made me feel small. Then she asked, "The guy in the front didn't help you?" to which another associate across the room chimed in, saying I said I "just wanted to look around." The entire interaction reeked of poor communication and zero accountability. Instead of offering help or guidance to someone clearly unfamiliar with the store layout and process, they chose passive, judgmental commentary. I was shocked by how unprofessional the entire staff was. Just because you sell premium coffee doesn't mean you get to treat people like they don't belong. It takes absolutely NOTHING to offer decent customer service. No one should feel embarrassed or uncomfortable simply for walking into your store. Nespresso, if you pride yourself on offering a high-end experience, your store associates need to reflect that. This visit made me reconsider whether your brand is worth it. Absolutely unacceptable. I hope this feedback reaches a district manager. The behavior at this location is unacceptable. read more

I love visiting this location! I would order my pods online. However, after the service I receive from this location, I now pick-up my pods here. I'd like to start off by saying Tierney is absolutely amazing! Everytime I arrive at the store, she greets me with great enthusiasm and makes me feel very welcomed. I really appreciate the service she provides. I'll ask her about what coffee she recommends and she'll answer the questions I ask. I feel she really cares and is knowledgeable on the product. I really, really, really dislike writing negative reviews, especially when we come to this location all the time and always buy our coffee here. But, today's lack of professionalism warrants it. We went it, there were people in there, fully understandable. More than happy to wait. No one asked us if we would like to sample anything while we waited, like normal. Even that, I could overlook. However, when the store emptied after five-seven minutes, and we were still standing there after we checked-in, after there were six people wearing yellow Nespresso shirts watching us, trying to patiently keeping tabs on our two-year-old and not even getting acknowledged is impermissible. I was about to drop $100-$150 on coffee today. Instead, we walked out with nothing and you all left me no other recourse than to write this review on your desultory performance. You guys need to do better. This was bad. I'm willing to give an improved review if I make it back, but hopefully you care enough to remedy this by working on customer service. Guess I'll order online. It's really a shame, too, because I'd rather support brick-and-mortar, but you left me little choice. read more

The store was super busy--especially with the holiday rush--but the customer service was exceptional. Despite the chaos, the staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and worked seamlessly together to make sure everyone had a smooth shopping experience. They were knowledgeable about all the products and offered helpful recommendations without feeling pushy. It's clear they really care about creating a great experience for customers, even when it's packed. I walked out with exactly what I needed (and then some). There was a sample girl, a security girl but not really standing at the door just greeting people... and 2 other cashiers that won't even recognize you. Two registers open while the person at the front of the store stood there doing nothing and another one behind the bar just telling me how Many people were in front of me while looking at an iPad. Use the iPad to ring me up! I ended up leaving. Your greeter and coffee bar person should be able to ring up people who are ready to buy and don't need to be guided through a purchase.
