Anyway, she mentioned another spot and I decided on Blvd Cafecito and I am so happy I did! The service was excellent. I believe her name is Amber - at the counter. She was very good!! We ordered a double Americano and Avocado Toast. Now, just settle down. Every body every where offers Avocado Toast. Yes. But, they don't offer THIS avocado toast!! WTF!? It was by far the best Avocado Toast I've ever had in a public eatery! WOW!!! Seriously - THIS should be on a MUST HAVE LIST!! My friend got a breakfast sandwich. All good. The ambiance is uber casual! There are a few tables set on the sidewalk. Parking is available up and down the street. So, come in and enjoy the Avocado Toast and whatever else they are offering that morning...it will be worth it. Make this a regular spot. I live in Burbank and always forget about this spot until I'm driving by. I finally made a point to try it out today!! I got a sugar free vanilla latte with oat milk and really liked it! I feel like their coffee is good and the flavor syrups are decent! The workers were friendly and efficient and it seemed like a good vibes sort of place. I'd like to try their food next time!! The vanilla bean latte got me hooked. I've tried many cafes in Burbank so far and this latte makes this cafe stand out. The housemade vanilla bean syrup is mixed with the espresso shot. They really do things right. I keep going back because of this. They also have a pistachio gelato latte that my fiance loves. They use the same vanilla bean syrup and add pistachio. There is a line out the door for weekend mornings but it goes by fast. Their breakfast burrito is pretty solid and worth to try too. They do make it fresh to order so it takes time. I was so disappointed by this coffee shop. I ordered an iced Mexican mocha, a veggie burrito and a cold brew. The Mexican mocha was so incredibly sweet, I couldn't finish it. I had to brew my own coffee when I arrived home and even then, the sweetness of the Mexican mocha was sooo overpowering. The cold brew tasted stale there were zero flavor notes that came thru. The veggie burrito lacked flavor all around and unfortunately so did the salsa. Maybe it was just an off day, but with so many wonderful coffee shops, unfortunately Blvd Cafecito will not be a comeback spot. Service was average, not bad, not great. Got cafe cubana colada and a blvd classic vanilla bean. Both were really good. All of the cafe cubana is black coffee so when i decided to try it, i wasnt expecting much but when i tried the colada it was really good. They only had 1 size for that one though. I've been to Blvd Cafecito a couple of times now, and their horchata latte is seriously one of the best I've had in a while! I went back to get the same drink again, and it was just as amazing as the first time. The perfect balance of coffee and horchata flavor without being too sweet. I frequently come to this cafe, but I guess costumer service is not what's this place stands for. Orders something from the front glass shelf, nothing too complicated. I'm told it'll take 5m. 20m passed and nothing. I go inside and while I try to ask what I want, person at the counter interrupts me while I'm trying to explain what I want and tells me to wait outside. 10m passed again and asked them again about my order and lady gets confrontative with me instead of apologizing for having me wait for more than 30m for a warmed up item. There is always people coming in and out of this place. The inside has no seating and is pretty small so it can get quite crowded, but they are friendly and are quick to deliver your order. They have some seating outside but it's very limited. Apart from their coffee menu, they do have some breakfast options available. You order and the kitchen will call out your name from next door. Their sandwiches are pretty tasty and come out fresh. Their coffee, I do wish was stronger. The few times I've gone, my latte has tasted like milk more than coffee. The steaming fresh Burrito was a joyous mess-- and although first skeptical of the peculiar coconut-flavoured Charcoal Mocha, it was fantastic. The kind of sensation you notice during a stride-hitting 4th-date with a partner who makes you question across the table: Are you thinking of having children? Not because of nostalgia, but because my feeling right now is such bliss and we need to share this. I went to Blvd Cafecito for breakfast around 9:30am on Saturday. I parked on the neighboring street and walked up to the shop, which was busy with foot traffic, but the line moved quickly. My drink came out pretty fast and the food took a while (and it didn't come from the coffee counter, but from the kitchen staff next door). The shop has cool interior decor - lots of plants - and only outdoor seating. I ordered a 16 oz, iced Charcoal Mocha Latte with almond milk and Huevos Pericos. After the staff brought my food in a takeout bag, I found a seat outside of the shop. The Charcoal Mocha Latte was rich, yet not too sweet. Also, the drink was well-mixed and not grainy. The Huevos Pericos made a warm meal to accompany the drink, but it was kind of bland without the hot sauce and I could've used another arepa because there were so much eggs leftover. The overall ambiance was casual and chill, so I spent the next hour finishing my breakfast and reading a book. Since I was seated outside, it was a little noisy from the traffic and pedestrians on the streets, but not too distracting. My 1st experience at Blvd Cafecito was good, barring the extra eggs... It's not too milky and the espresso they use is robust enough to hold up to the whole milk--my favorite of the dairy choices. I like to get one of their blueberry pop tarts if they have one. I've tried the other flavors and the blueberry is the flavor I keep going back to. It pairs nicely with the iced latte. They offer a prepackaged overnight oats topped with almond butter and a few blueberries that is incredibly hearty and satisfying. I grab one to take home and have it later for an afternoon snack or breakfast the next morning. A chia cup is another option they have in the cooler and it's good too. It's on the lighter, less filling side. Currently, masks are required like all businesses in L.A. county. And only 2 groups in the establishment at one time. LOVE the service and energy here. Even when they're slammed they're super sweet and helpful. Food is good and coffee is delicious! I prefer their more simpler coffees so you can really taste the brews. I never get the baristas names but ALL of them have been sweet and SUPER helpful when I want them to recommend me something. The only gripe I have is with some of the CUSTOMERS. Some locals in Burbank believe they're entitled to baristas remembering their orders and become enraged when asked clarifying questions. No one's a mind reader, and your baristas are doing their best! It's not their fault you can't use basic communication skills and expect people to know what you want.
