I love The Hide Room Coffee! The flavor of their coffee is outstanding and well crafted. They serve Guatemalan coffee and its flavor is unlike any other. I tried a couple of their drinks and I can wholeheartedly say it doesn't taste like other coffees in the best way possible. Service is amazing. Orders were taken fast and drinks came out fast as well. They also give free stickers which I appreciate! Ambiance is great. I've never seen a coffee shop mixed with a barber shop. Now , I would never cheat on my barber but their coffee may convince me. Overall , a hidden gem in Burbank. Would come back again any time of the day. read more

My wife and I planned a trip to San Francisco, but before we started our long drive to the Bay Area, we stayed the evening with our daughter. The morning we were about to make our trek, our daughter wanted to take us to a coffee shop she recently found. The Hide Room is not only a coffee shop, but it also houses a barber shop. This bald dude wasn't in need of a barber, but having some java was a must before driving for almost 6 hours. The coffee I ordered initially tasted just okay, but there was a delayed response and I enjoyed it. What I enjoyed about my first visit to The Hide Room was the quality customer service from Isaiah, the Filipino gentleman in glasses. The Hide Room is located in Los Angeles, specifically on Victory Blvd. in Burbank. It's a combo shop that houses both a coffee shop and barber shop. It's next to Centanni Italian Restaurant and across from Bright Now Dental. Parking is all street parking. The coffee shop isn't too big with no indoor seating, but there is outdoor seating with several yellow metal round tables, metal yellow chairs, and a yellow umbrella for shade. When you walk into The Hide Room, it's pretty cool to see half of the space is a barber shop where the owner was cutting someone's hair and the other half is a coffee joint. Their coffee is sourced from Guatemala, so the decor consists of framed pics of Guatemala images, coffee bean bags hanging, and an ornate, woven cloth attached to another wall. Isaiah, the barista behind the counter provided quality customer service by giving us coffee recommendations and he was so accommodating answering my questions about the business. I think this was the first time for me to see a business that was a coffee shop and barber shop all in one building. Isaiah told me the owner, who was there cutting someone's hair, wanted to incorporate haircuts and coffee in one building. We entered through one door for the coffee shop and if you'd like a haircut, you can continue through another door into what looked like an upscale, old school barber shop. I wasn't sure what to order, but my usual go to at branded coffee shops is a white chocolate mocha with hazelnut. I decided on a mocha with hazelnut flavoring. When I took my first sip, I really couldn't taste the coffee or the hazelnut flavoring. After taking a few more sips, I wished I had asked for it to be sweeter. I guess it takes a little while to appreciate the coffee because I had a delayed response to my coffee from The Hide Room. I actually enjoyed the coffee after drinking it for a little while. I'll need to try one of their signature coffees the next time I visit. I really liked the concept of The Hide Room with its combo coffee shop and barber shop. I no longer need haircuts since I'm bald, but I recommend you check out this hipster spot with its Guatemala coffee and quality customer service from its staff. read more

The Hide Room may well be the best coffee shop in Burbank. One, the coffee is good, the menu is fun and creative, and the quality is worth the high price of coffee these days. Two, and most importantly, they treat people well. Saw a lady drop her pastry after picking it up at the window, and without hesitation they gave her a new one. It's not about the product at that point, it's about genuine and authentic connection. I see you and you see us. It really is that simple! This spot is a go to for me whenever I drive through the area. Parking is a bit rough but I just know every time I order my same drink, it's gonna taste the same, and it's gonna hit the spot every time. Not every drink hits the same so if you like your drinks sweeter, milkier, etc, I would take some time actually checking out the ingredients before ordering what's most popular or what you consider your go to. I would definitely recommend this spot and the inside is so cool looking and really quick but chill. read more

This coffee shop is a hidden gem in Burbank. This is a small coffee shop, but drinks and desserts are out of this world. I ordered a latte which was perfectly made. Young lady who helped me asked, if I wanted my latte sweet or not. It was the first time I was asked, if I want my latte sweet or not. In other locations, they usually do not ask. If I could , I would give 10 stars for the customer service. Both ladies working there were very friendly and nice. Drink was prepared in less than five minutes. I didn't have to wait long. I also ordered a chocolate cookie. I can say it was the best one I had. It was so good. I will be back for the chocolate cookie. lol For ambiance, this is a pickup/ to go style coffee shop. There are not any seating area inside. There are several tables outside for seating, enjoying drinks and desserts. Parking, this location does not have private parking or maybe I didn't notice it. There is plenty of street parking. Streets might get busy around noon time. read more

The coffee was better than most I've had since moving to LA. There's no indoor seating so you have to grab one of the few outdoor tables. My drink was better once the cold foam blended into the coffee. The baristas gave off a weird vibe when we went in. Like they didn't want to be working? Or maybe they just didn't want us in there? Idk but it wasn't friendly and I totally get it, I went to my retail job afterwards, but the attitude isn't necessary. Not running to come back and try the coffee again, that's for sure. read more

Ordered 4 coffees and I was so disappointed on the quality of the espresso. lf your a coffee drinker and like your coffee to taste like coffee or like the strong flavor of espresso this place isn't for you . If you like to spend $8 on a cup of milk you'll love this place . No taste of coffee despite it being Guatemalan based, I went home and had to pour in 2 extra shots in my latte. Last Saturday, I visited The Hide Room Coffee for the 1st time. At around 8am, it wasn't busy, and I easily found street parking in front of the coffee shop. The storefront's small since it's connected to a barber shop. It's standing room only, but there's multiple seating areas outside. I thought the staff were friendly and service was quick. I ordered a(n) iced Acatenango Cloud Latte with oat milk, iced Matcha Latte with whole milk, and Coffee Cake. I liked the Acatenango Cloud Latte a lot; it was smooth and had a nice balance of lavender & vanilla flavors. The Matcha Latte was for a family member, but I had a sip and didn't like it as much. The drink was quite milky and the matcha could've been stronger. The Coffee Cake was moist and very sweet, and it tasted better when I warmed it up at home. I'd visit The Hide Room Coffee again to try their other espresso drinks and limited pastry selection! Glad to have another coffee shop in the community! read more

Cool spot I bumped into while visiting a salon nearby. It really stands out with the yellow exterior chairs. Very small inside and there is a barbershop/hair salon behind it? Not too sure. I got a honey iced latte and coffee cake. The barista told me the coffee cake if baked by homeboy industries so I was intrigued. It was a big portion but not your typical coffee cake and a lot more crumbly and more cakey? Overall positive experience . New coffee stop in Burbank so I had to check it out. The coffee here is delicious. I got the cold brew with mocha foam and loved every sip. My son got the Nutella latte iced and loved it , we did ask the barista to make it with half the amount of sweetener they use. The shop has a cool ambiance, there is a barber shop in the back that you can see through the window. No indoor seating but they have a few tables and chairs right outside. I stopped and picked up a coffee on my way home from the car shop in Burbank and the coffee here did not disappoint. It's a small space, no seating, and connected to a barber shop with delicious Guatemalan coffee and good service. Best coffee in Burbank! It's incredibly rare that a coffee shop exceeds your expectations, but both my husband and I took one sip and raised our eyebrows. I was torn between these two: $6.50 -Orellana's Special latte: House Espresso with Honey topped with Cinnamon $6.50 -Panqueque latte: latte with caramel, toasted hazelnut, and cold foam Went with the panqueque latte and it's exactly that, pancakes. I came for coffee but got the full living on the street experience as well. This place is the size of a restroom and the coffee takes so long. This must be the craft cocktail version of Burbank coffee. The overall service speed to order is a bit upsetting. Thank god I didn't order anything fancy. Certainly not the cheapest coffee around. I wouldn't say the staff was friendly and I wouldn't say they were unfriendly. Just mellow. You do get the feeling they try hard, but not worth the wait. read more

Definitely my favorite coffeeshop in Burbank now! I stopped by for a quick cup before running my errands and I was so glad that I did. I can't believe this is what they are slinging, while sharing a space with a barbershop. They take their coffee seriously here. I am absolutely hooked on The Hide Room Coffee shop! Found this place on a whim due to another coffee shop being closed while in the area but I am sooo happy that I did. I love the vibe here even though it's just a small order up counter. The staff here is amazing! So friendly every time. My go to order is the Cafe De La Tierra. It is literally the perfect blend of sweetness to coffee ratio. The espresso they use here is so smooth and yet still present. Even a simple maple latte here is balanced and a cup of heaven. Amidst the many spots in LA to get your caffeine fix, The Hide Room is truly serving coffee that stands out from the rest. The flavor and quality of the espresso is insane and packs a really nice caffeine punch for that much needed pick-me-up. The barista working when my husband and I came in was extremely nice and had great energy! We got the panqueque latte with oat milk and without the foam top, and it was DIVINE. Truly tastes just like pancakes, but not at all artificial. We had to take our coffee to-go, but there is a good amount of outdoor seating. I cannot wait to come back! Very cool space! There's a barbershop on the other side of the door, which I have never seen before! The barista helping us, Isis, was great. Very amicable. We ordered a Nutella latte, which my friend enjoyed, and an iced cappuccino for myself. I really appreciate that they actually measure the amount of milk that goes in their drinks! There have been many times at other coffee shops I order an iced cappuccino and have been given the same amount of milk as an iced latte. Anyway, it tastes like they use a light-medium roast for their coffee, and there was an unusual hint of bitterness and acidity that I didn't enjoy. If you're in the area, I think it's worth stopping by but I didn't love my drink. read more

The barista took the time to engage with me a bit & genuinely seemed to care about my experience. I got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch which is flavorful and not too sweet which is a plus in my book. Baristas were well-trained and they provided a great experience. Overall, this place has all the basics you're looking for in a cafe. A decent drink selection, some pastries and some seats both indoors and outdoors. You can also use this place as a pick-me-up and go on a walk along Magnolia.

I'm not even kidding - it looked like the sink hadn't been cleaned in months, there was grime everywhere and even a dead cockroach, belly up on the floor. This is first thing in the morning when they opened. It had me looking around at other parts of this coffee shop like behind the counter and on the floor and I don't know what happened since last time but it was grimy. Their grab and go fridge was also nearly empty, which I thought was weird. Did something happen? Anyway, I hope they fix all that because otherwise, this is a great little place with a good menu and nice people who work there.

It has a lot of flavor with a subtle hint of spice that sets it apart from a standard vanilla latte. It does lean pretty sweet, so I'd recommend asking for it a little less sweet if that's your preference. The drinks are also reasonably priced, which is another reason I keep coming back. They have a selection of pastries as well, although I haven't had a chance to try them yet. Overall, this is an easy cafe to recommend. Good coffee, fair prices, and a comfortable atmosphere, make it a spot I find myself returning to regularly.

The strawberry dessert was lite and delicious. Service was super friendly and helpful. I will have to return to try more of the desserts that resemble fruit.

Saturday morning review*…read more There was alot of people waiting at 10am but within 30 mins we were called into the patio. Seated & had a question for the waiter, but she was unsure, said she'd be back with the answer and disappeared for 15-20 mins and came back with no info, she had forgot what I had asked her. It was a simple question, just asked if they still had the Birria quezadillas, she had said yes & I asked for the price becus I couldn't find it on the menu, thats when she said she'd find out the price and didn't return for a long awhile. Then when she came back she forgot and just said "they dnt sell um anymore" She seemed disconnected and so unsure. A waiter should know the menu & what is discontinued. Or at the least find out and return quickly with the info, not take long and come back having forgot to even find out. But ok, no problem we just got our drinks and the café de Olla was good. The food arrived and the rice stood out more than the Chilaquiles. The pancakes were small for the price & didnt have much flavor, once the toppings were gone the pancakes were bland. Came here becus I saw comments online, but I dont think I'd go back, there are many other places with outstanding food & service. The Mexican rice & Café de olla were the standouts of the meal. If you live nearby I could see this being a good place to enjoy a meal, but to come in from farther out isn't worth the drive.
