My little sister recommended this place to me, and I thought it was one of the cutest little shops in Burbank. The atmosphere is very comfy and cozy, which I loved. Staff was welcoming and polite. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had a book vending machine and even a rack of free books. That alone made the place feel extra charming. They also have board games, which is such a nice touch if you're coming with friends or planning to stay awhile. Since it was a pretty hot day, I ordered the guava lemonade, and it was delicious. It was refreshing and exactly what I needed to cook down. This is such a perfect place for study time, catching up with friends, or just relaxing with some tea or coffee. 10/10 will def be back. read more

My friend Liz introduced me to this hidden Burbank gem. I've tried the matcha and lattes, and they are both so delicious. They're the perfect balance of sweetness and milkiness. I've been here few times to try some monthly specials. My favorite specials have been the banana concoctions. The inside of the shop is so clean and there's lots of seating available. I love the entire theme of the shop, and the inside book vending machine. I do wish they opened a little earlier than 8 am daily as I am an early bird and work starts at 8 am for me. They're drinks taste really good, they usually offer something else going on at the shop, and it always seems busy and like a great place to meet and catch up. They have a lovely outdoor patio and with how high the cost of coffee is at many of the other Burbank coffee shops, they are the most reasonably priced. A wonderful cafe adored by locals and a must-visit for anyone who's passing through the Burbank area. This cafe is run by a family of wonderful, empowering women who support their community and their customers with engaging events and delicious coffee. When I first moved to Burbank I was given a warm welcome by the ladies behind the counter and since then I'm happy to be a regular. Their drinks are on the more expensive side compared to larger corporate chains, but the taste and quality well makes up for the expense. They have a comfortable selection of bakery items, a diverse drink menu for all kinds of pallets, and signature lattes that hit the spot. This location offers a free library where customers can take a book and leave a book, reading in the shop or taking home, with an honor code of being expected to keep said book in good shape and to return it eventually. Their book vending machine is a huge hit, the interior is beautiful and relaxing and their location has a restroom. On the weekends they invite other small sellers, clothing entrepreneurs, bread makers, up-in-coming pottery shops, and more to use their store as a venue to expand their business. The Three Sisters' dedication to their community goes as far as sharing their success, which I admire! The cons of this location however, are that I firmly believe they've outgrown their space. Lines often form out of the cafe regularly and onto the street. It can take quite some time to wait when this happens. When they have sellers inside too--it becomes difficult to move it's so crowded. There's often not enough tables and chairs to go around, and it's uncomfortable to wait outside when it's sunny with zero shade or seats. While I love the shop encouraging people to stay and do their work, or relax, the limited seating capacity makes it so many customers are often left standing. I hope Three Sisters considers moving to a larger space, adapting outdoor seating to the experience, or grows their business enough to comfortably open multiple locations in the future to give their dedicated consumers and neighbors more space to enjoy their products. read more

Stopped by a few weeks ago, on a Monday morning with my cousin for a much needed caffeine boost. The place was busy. Every table inside and out was taken. We loved the book vending machine in there. My cousin couldn't resist and grabbed a book from it. I was a little groggy, so I went for something strong. Opted for the Grizzly Latte but didn't want the full 4 shots. The barista was super helpful and recommended the Mini Grizzly (3 shots). It hit the spot, bold espresso with just the right hint of sweetness. I also snagged two delicious cookies to share with my son, which vanished in under 10 minutes. My cousin got a strawberry matcha and really enjoyed it too. Greatl spot with friendly service. I've been coming to this place for quite awhile now! I live in the area and would come more often if I could!!! The owner and staff are always so friendly and helpful when I come in! I can't have dairy and staff have always been SO kind in checking syrups for me and verifying menu items for me. I like to try as much as I can. The strawberry matcha is always a win and I love the 3 sisters latte. With their current banana menu, they have a vegan syrup option that is SO good! I love that if I bring my dogs in, they have dog treats at the register. It's a nice incentive for my dogs and I love that it's a dog treat and not just whipped cream. Overall, the vibes in the place are immaculate and the drinks are great! I prefer coming here to coming to a chain and I love how often they host craft events and small vendors (usually on weekends). There are even board games for people and plenty of outlets. Right now, another cool offering is the book vending machine from Bespelled Books. So cool! Their Irishman drink was delicious! The mocha tasted darker than most places which I loved. Definitely a sweet drink; I added an extra shot of espresso and it was still sweet but delicious. My husband got a cortado and the coffee they use is more on the bitter side so it's great in drinks but not my preference for something like a cortado. I have nothing but praise for this local, woman owned coffee shop. Everyone is incredibly kind and welcoming. The owner, Kristy, is often there and she has made a point to get to know all of regulars. The space is clean and lovely. The drinks are delicious and their seasonal specials are always amazing. Also, they don't ever have any off days. The quality of their drinks is consistently excellent. Their pastries are fresh and delicious. They have a vending machine filled with books as well as a selection of books you can borrow. If you visit on your way to work, like I often do, there may be a line but don't be discouraged. Came here for one quick cup of Oat Latte, and left with a loaf of sour dough, delicious Ube Bun pastries, a yummy chocolate chip cookie, and a drool worth cinnamon roll. The pastries were part of what looked like little pop-up booths that were posted at the cafe that day. I had zero business buying from a booth that day...let alone all three! (Side note, each of the items I bought were phenomenal!) The Oat Latte itself was also very good! I've only been to this cafe this one time, and it was on a whim before heading over to BUR to pick up a friend. I came here on a Friday around lunch time to grab a latte during a study break. The cafe is located on a slightly less busy part of Magnolia Blvd in Burbank and while free street parking is theoretically available on Magnolia, you'll have better luck finding free street parking on the side street Reese right in front of the cafe. There are several tables inside for seating and I saw several people on laptops studying / working and there is no outside seating available. I ended up trying out a drink from the summer seasonal menu. There was no line and I got my drink in under 5 mins. The cashier and barista were both friendly and polite. Mango Sticky Rice Matcha iced latte (w/ almond milk) 3.5/5, ok I struggled with rating this. Yes; the matcha is strong, although with the addition of the cold foam + mango syrup you will not taste it to be strong while drinking, you will have the caffeine effect later, however. Yes; there is mango in this, although it is a thick mango syrup that lies at the bottom of the drink and needs to be mixed into the drink with a straw or other utensil, otherwise you will not taste the mango after the cold foam is completed. No; there is no physical sticky rice in this or traces of coconut that I could taste (much to my disappointment). I would recommend just opting for a plain matcha latte than getting this due to all the aforementioned reasons. read more

One of my favorite hobbies is trying new coffee places, just to try their matcha and see how well they prepared. Decided to try their banana pudding matcha with macadamia milk and I have to say their matcha was pretty flawless. I know it's a matter of personal preference, but I prefer my matcha on the stronger side and usually when adding flavors to it the matcha tends to lose that strong flavor, not this one. It was the perfect balance of both the matcha and the banana, without one overpowering the other. Let me start off by saying the ambiance at this spot is a 10/10!! They have a book vending machine, a communal free library, board games, and a space to hang out. It's the perfect spot to catch up with a friend or bring your laptop to work. Their menu online doesn't mention matcha but they have some! They happened to have a March Special menu and I decided to try their Lucky Matcha with a marshmallow cream top, oat milk, earl grey syrup, and lucky charms marshmallows on top. My friend got a vanilla bean latte with the marshmallow cold foam and marshmallows as well. The cream doesn't have the consistency I prefer with my matcha, it wasn't as thick or creamy. Not sure if this was intentional or an accident but we noticed that some people after us got their cups with a sticker including their cafe logo on it and they were filming something and we didn't get stickers on our drinks. It was random and not sure if a decorated cup is reserved for those who say they are posting about the store? The drinks themselves are fine but are more for the aesthetic post. Been meaning to try this place and finally decided to drop by this morning! Parking is awful around Burbank, especially these areas where it's mostly all street parking and you rarely find a parking lot. We drove around the small street nearby twice and finally managed to get a spot. We walked over and my bf and I were a little worried and hesitant about it. We saw the line out the door and the last time this happened (at a small/new coffee shop down the street), we were very disappointed by the service and overall quality and wait time. Thankfully this line moved absolutely quickly and were surprised to see how busy and packed this place was inside! They seemed to have some kind of book shop in the back, limited tables and seating because it was all full, and then what seemed to be a mini jewelry marketplace that took place on the left right when you entered. This place was absolutely poppin not just for the drinks! Again, line moved fast and we were greeted by the owner (I think). Didn't catch her name but she was very friendly and very pretty! :) my bf got The Grizzly and I got The Irishman. I don't typically order iced mochas because I prefer my lattes but the Irish cream convinced me and I loved it! Very good and my bf's drink was even better. The service was pretty average overall. The register lady was not smiling or give welcoming gesture. We got three drinks: three sisters latte, chai latte, and matcha latte with vanilla syrup. Safe to say, we did not really like any of the drinks. The best one was the matcha, but there's nothing really special about it. Chai latte is decent, felt very diluted, not a lot of chai flavor. The three sisters latte was the worst for us. We all agreed that it tastes like soy sauce, so it is definitely an acquired taste (although it says "house made lavender and rose syrup"). Such a homey little cafe, however I didn't like my mocha. I'm not a fan of really nutty mochas and this had that strong nut flavor. The price was really good for a latte with modifications ($7.50 I think?) compared to other shops I go to that charge an arm and a leg for oat milk. I'll be back to try their seasonal drinks. My go to spot for matcha in this area! They use Nekohama matcha, and it has a smooth, nutty flavor that blends well in their regular latte, strawberry latte, and seasonal items! I've heard their coffee drinks are great too, but I haven't tried them. A 16 oz strawberry matcha with oat milk will cost you over $9, which is pricey even compared to spots in LA, but I'll accept it since they have the best matcha in this area. I've worked here a few times too and the WiFi is fast and ambiance is warm and inviting. I'm dinging 1 star because I have had my drinks made with the wrong milk 2x (which they've remade when I pointed it out) and I've noticed inconsistencies in the same drinks across my visits (my guess is the baristas estimate the amounts of syrup versus weigh it out). read more

I wanted to love this place but after being here a few times, I've never had a good experience. The drinks are ok, nothing you can't get at any of the other 20 coffee shops in Burbank, but the reason I won't come here anymore is the service. The times I've been here, the owner has been the person who's taking orders at the register. Both times I've seen her be very warm and welcoming to the person in front of and behind me (one of which was my friend) and then as soon as I come up to place my order I just get a "what can I get for you" and kind of a whole attitude switch. This happened on my very first visit to this coffee shop so I don't think I did anything wrong? I have worked many customer service jobs so I always approach the counter with a "hi, how are you" and try to have a pleasant demeanor. I try not to let it bother me but it's hard not to notice the immediate switch from the interaction of the person in front of me. Now, I don't need people to be nice to me but I would like the same common courtesy I try to give. This happened on two other occasions and it's clear to me I just don't need to be going here. Maybe if the coffee were exceptional I could get over the service, but that isn't the case. I got an espresso tonic that was just ok. I come here very often with friends and usually have a fantastic time! I have never returned a drink before, but unfortunately received a bad chai tea latte this morning. I was very embarrassed to go up to the counter and ask for a redo, but did it anyways. They redid it without a hassle and I was very thankful. Me and my friend sat down, and I tried my friend's drink and commented that it wasn't sweet. Which is what she ordered, I didn't say it loud or nasty or anything that would excuse the following. The owner then yelled very loudly (I'm not exaggerating either) from the counter and asked very rudely if I didn't like my drink again, thinking that my friend's drink was mine. The entire coffee shop went silent, and it was very, very awkward. I was humiliated, especially since I was already embarrassed to ask for a redo. I stated that it was my friend's drink, which my friend responded and said that it was fine. She didn't say anything back other than a clipped "okay." I've been in the food service for a long time and have been a manager a few times as well. If I ever suspected that someone did not like what they had received I would come over privately and ask them. I understand that we all have bad days but it was highly unprofessional and embarrassing. Who would want to sit for another hour after you practically got yelled at for not liking a messed up drink. When you walk inside, the menu on the wall is a little hard to see but they have a hard copy menu on the counter in front of the cashier. They have a small selection of pastries but they all looked so good. It's pretty spacious inside and the tables are not super close together which is really nice!
