Great coffee, great vibes, great people! This was my first time going to Baja Beans, and it was a great experience. The employees were super nice and knowledgeable. I didn't feel rushed to make my decision. I noticed that it seems they have kept a piece of The French Rooster alive by offering a few of the same pastries and I absolutely love it! I can be pretty picky when it comes to coffee so I don't venture out to try new places as often as I'd like because I hate wasting money on burnt coffee. I do miss the days of a $3-$5 latte, but this place is worth the price! The coffee was smooth, flavorful and didn't have that terrible taste that so many syrups leave, plus it had enough caffeine that I didn't get an afternoon headache! I'll definitely be back. My go to is always an Iced Oat Latte, although every time I come here, I'm tempted by the Baja, which is one of their most popular drinks. The owners Zach and Bella are always a pleasure to see! Jason and Kelsey are also so wonderful. Everyone is friendly and I love chatting with them when there's no line behind me (even though there usually is). Lots of street parking! There was a long line when we went and thought the coffee was going to be good. Unfortunately it felt short of expectations, the quality was just not there. We were happy to at least try it once though. Happy that they still have the sandwiches. It was good especially with the cornichons and crunchy bread. The place itself is cute, yes the inside is small with very limited seating but there are a few tables outside. The staff was friendly and service was fast and good. The coffee however fell short. I ordered the date and pecan late from their seasonal menu. It just tasted like watered down coffee, no pecan or date flavor. The chocolate queeny however was very yummy and I would order that again and again. They have sandwiches as well as croissants. Maybe my mistake was ordering from the seasonal menu and not one of their signature drinks. I'm willing to give it another try and order something different next time. read more

Ordered: Matcha latte with Oat Milk - 3.5/5 Not my favorite Matcha but I do think they're more of a coffee place and it does show with their menu so I'd explore that option first! Vibes: 5/5 This is such a cute place!! Its tiny on the inside but you can tell a lot of love when into giving off the socal "baja" style. If you closed your eyes you can see this on the boardwalk in san diego for sure. The baristas there were also super nice! You can tell that this is still a neighborhood coffee spot with some seating around outside and towards the back to bring dogs or your kids which is nice! Welcome to the neighborhood, Baja Beans! I visited for the first time this past May. It's a small cafe with cozy decor, including an indoor bench and some outdoor tables. Only street parking available. I got The Sunroom ($7.50), which was part of their spring/seasonal menu. It was tart and coconut-y, but kind of overpowered by the acidity of the espresso. Also, I had a sip of The Baja with whole milk ($7.50), which was a regular iced latte with light touches of cinnamon, coconut, and vanilla. I wasn't a huge fan of either drink, but I may return for the chill vibes, friendly service, and to try other menu items. read more

I didn't look at their food/pastries that closely since I was in and out pretty fast, but the morning bun looked delicious! They have a small kitchen to prep their sandwiches. Such a cute spot! It's really really tiny, but they have some tables outside. There will most likely be a line, as there are only two people working in the shop, but they move! The vibe of the place was very chill and the decor was super cute! Staff were also quick and friendly. However, I was pretty underwhelmed by the quality of the food. I ordered a matcha with maple cold foam, but the drink was very milky and the foam wasn't thick or creamy, so I could barely taste the matcha or maple flavor. I also ordered the ham & cheese croissant and felt a little scammed after opening it and finding only a few thin pieces of ham and cheese. For $11, at least give me a full slice of cheese! The hospitality here is incredible! Me and my dog were here on a random Tuesday afternoon and they welcomed us like we were old friends. Coffee was absolutely fantastic too, I liked the maverick a lot. Overall the vibe was unbeatable. Really quaint, intimate, and best of all they are surf themed and they sell wax so if I'm ever in a pinch on the way to Malibu this is a one stop shop. Baja Beans! Wow. This is a new spot in Burbank and I loved it so much. I got the Forager which is a brown sugar + fig coffee; it was amazing. You can tell the coffee is different from other normal coffee spots and the fig added such a unique flavor. After getting the Forager , I HAD to try another one of their drinks. I got the Honeysuckle which is a honey matcha and pear cold foam. Refreshing and balanced flavors. Service was amazing! After the first drink , I was hesitant to ask for another drink as they were going to close soon but I was still accommodated! I appreciated that very much. Drinks came out fast yet tasted like they took their time and care with them. Ambiance is nice! A cozy coffee shop that is well decorated. Burbank's newest coffee shop is the delightful Baja Beans Coffeehouse. It's so small, like a dollhouse, and comfortable with some truly unique coffee drinks and just enough pastries and small bites to make you comfortable like you're at home. The owners are so friendly and have created something with such personality and identity. It just feels right. The colors and decorations are happy, elegant, and intentional. Drink-wise, I recommend The Baja, a smooth rich coconut latte, and the Mexican Mocha, a balanced and not-oversweet treat. This place is definitely worth a visit. Indoor has seating too with cozy pillows and all. Welcoming and friendly service. Bella helped me with my order and she made my coffee. I ordered The Forager iced and loved it. Every sip was delicious. It's made with brown sugar and fig. I asked for three shots and it was perfect. It usually comes with two shots of expresso. The sweetness level was perfect for me since I don't like overly sweet coffee drinks. They have a few other interesting ices lattes that I would love to try and will be back soon to do so. They haven't been open for long but all ready love this place! Gotten four drinks all ready and they always taste amazing. Well brewed, syrups taste like they have so many different spices and flavors like really thought was put into them. Staff is always polite and ready to help. The space IS super small inside, there is plenty of outdoor seating and I'm sure once the weather isn't blistering hot it will be really nice and pleasant to enjoy a drink outside. I'm so glad I finally got to try out this little coffee shop. Their pastries are my favorite, I would just go to grab a morning roll. You can tell that they're baked fresh in small batches. I have also tried the chocolate queeny and a dark chocolate croissant. I've never heard of a queeny before, but I'm hooked. I would try their pastries warmed up too. I'm still working my way through the menu but so far my favorite drink is the forager. This is a milky latte that's very brown sugar forward with a light fig flavor. I believe all their syrups are made in-house, you can see them lined up in labeled glass bottles behind the counter. I have also tried the matcha latte and honeysuckle matcha latte. I really enjoyed the soft floral and fruity flavors of the honeysuckle matcha. I have never seen a shop offer pear cold foam before which stood out to me. If there's an option to double up on the matcha, I would recommend doing that too. I love how they've decorated the space to have a small beach town vibe. The surfing video playing on the tv is the perfect touch. It is tiny inside, but there are a couple seats out front. The owners are also super nice and you can see them working the shop. I wanted to try this new coffee shop in Burbank. The pros: plenty of parking, super friendly staff, plenty of seating (at least on a weekday.) The cons: this is, hands-down, the worst cup of coffee I've ever had. I got a cold brew specialty drink, and it tastes like the melted ice cubes from an old coffee. Also, I was going to buy a pastry, but they are not covered, and there were flies circling them. (They did look delicious though.) Sadly, I will not be back to this place. read more
