Ok. Hands down my favorite boba spot in the valley. The owner of this location, Margi (pronounced MAR-ghee), is absolutely darling and loves what she does. The tea is delicious. The add-ons are great. My favorite add-ons are the honey bobas. They are never over cooked and mushy. Eew. Nope, these are perfectly cooked with a yummy chew to them! I have yet to taste a drink I don't like but I love the jasmine green tea, Vietnamese coffee, the grasshopper and anything with the mango. So good. The also creates her own foam top recipes. The lavender and rose foam (my faves) were her creations and the entire franchise started using them! Amazing. (Yes, I gushed about my love of the fancy foam tops and she told me this great story.) If you go often, you'll even be called "a regular" which is always fun! Atmosphere is chill and easy because it's in the mall on the top floor. Go get yourself some tea. read more

I wanted to like this spot and give it a higher review because looking at the menu everything looks so good. Unfortunately, the taste fell short to the pictures and description of the drinks. Place is located inside the mall and they have a small seating area with a few tables. They have quite a variety of drinks to choose from and they all sounded really good. And there was a fresh tea scent coming from inside so I was thinking the drinks would taste amazing. I ordered the taro lover and my husband the Vietnamese coffee. The taro consistency was more watery than expected, it tasted like a powdered drink, nothing special. I do appreciate the small pieces of taro but would have liked more of that and less of an artificial flavor. It also had an aftertaste, probably from whatever sweetener they used. Loved it. Ordered through the kiosk, my Vietnamese coffee hit hard! Did not really have any employee interaction, which is fine. They delivered my drink in a timely manner, and it was good! Price is steep, about 7.50 for a drink, but it was very good. It can be overlooked just a bit. I would come back and try another drink next time I am at the Burbank Mall. An absolute must try! Located on the third floor of the Burbank town center, very convenient spot and great to stop by while shopping as well. Staff is super friendly and helped me in my decision making as it was my first time visiting. I was recommended the silky mango and it was delicious. I enjoyed the flavor a lot, it was refreshing in a way, not overpowering sweet or milky! And the mango flavor was not artificially tasting. I also grabbed the Golden Brew and as a coffee gal, this was my favorite! It was superb in flavor, not bitter or overly sweet. The perfect balance. The tapioca pearls make the drinks! They're the most chewy and tasty boba I've ever had. (I've had a lot of boba). There is an option to order on the tablet which I found so easy to use and helpful to look at photos on a bigger screen! Located on the third floor of the Burbank Town Center, Teaspoon has just been open for 3 months or so. We saw their huge line for the grand opening and thought it must be something special, but turns out it was just because they offered a free glass bottle for the first number of customers. There's never a line after that day so don't worry about a long wait. Drinks took 5-10 minutes but it's not a huge dealbreaker - I think the staff is still trying to get their bearings as they were dealing with a backlog of online orders while dealing with walk-up customers such as ourselves. My better half ordered the Silky Mango while I had the Strawberry Colada Smoothie. Neither of us particularly liked the drinks. For our money, It's Boba Time is better and has way more options to choose from. Overall we found Teaspoon meh - wish them nothing but luck moving forward, but we most likely won't be back. There are a few tables next to it if you want to be inside, but if you want some fresh air it's directly next to the 3rd floor patio which has plenty of seating. Downside of being next to the patio is that there's always a clog of people trying to exit/enter vs. customers waiting for their orders. Not the most ideal placement for Teaspoon. read more

My wife and I stopped by this Teaspoon last night on the third floor inside Burbank Mall. We got dinner nearby at a restaurant and came to the mall afterwards. You can park anywhere around this area so finding parking shouldn't be a problem. We came like an hour before they close so they were not busy at all. You can order with the worker or through their little touchscreen kiosk. I first looked at their macarons and decided to get a box of 6 for my dad. I got the strawberry, chocolate and vanilla flavors. My wife got their Guava Sunset drink. It didn't take long for the person working last night to make my wife drink and put the macarons in the box. I was wandering around the mall before an AMC movie and thought I'd give Teaspoon a try. The cashier I talked to was very friendly and helpful in describing which drinks were most popular and making recommendations. I ended up going with the Golden Brew, 50% sweetness, oat milk, and boba. There was a line, but my drink was ready in less than 5 minutes. I like that you can customize the sweetness of most drinks, with any number "between 1 and 100" as the level. I decided against giving a weird, random number ("I would like 64! Not 63 or 65!") but my 50 was absolutely perfect... more would have been way too sweet. I like that they offer non-dairy milk options and a variety of flavors and toppings, including some with fresh juice. I wasn't the biggest fan of the tapioca balls... they were smaller, firmer and less chewy than what I like. But the drink itself was delicious and had a rich, strong brewed tea flavor without tasting artificial at all. Looking forwards to trying more drinks! read more

Golden Brew, less sweet, creme brulee top and honey boba - too sweet for me, but I usually get drinks from anywhere at 25% sweet. My partner likes half to full sweet, depending on the place so sometimes we compromise so we can share something. The cashier said she would do "less sweet" and we didn't ask her what percentage that was So idk exactly how sweet this was to adjust for next time. My real problem with it was that the coffee flavor wasn't very strong. She also told us to mix up the drink before opening it, which meant that the cream top got mixed in and that seems like a waste to me. I would try it without mixing the whole drink next time, maybe just pop the straw in and swirl the bottom around and leave the cream top mostly alone. If order this again but maybe ask for an extra shot of coffee, 25% sweet, and possibly skip the cream top. Mango Funtime, full sweet - this smells sooooooooo good. My partner, the one who likes the sweet things, said it was a little too sweet for him and of course it was easily too sweet for me, but the flavor of the mango was really nice and the texture was amazing. The color is also...Super Funtime to look at! A very pleasing drink! Definitely would try other fruit slushes here at a lower sweetness level in the future! House milk tea, 10%, honey boba, house cream - almost no discernable tea flavor, unfortunately. The honey boba are really delicious, great texture, and quantity. The house cream gives it a nice texture and milk flavor...but sadly that was the only flavor. Black Sugar Assam Tea, 1 swirl of black sugar instead of the normal 3. Still not much tea flavor, but better than the House Milk Tea! I'd get this again in a pinch. They offer real milk/cream! Suuuuuuuuper sweet counter staff who were very patient with our many many questions and customizations. Very knowledgeable. UPDATE: Nearly immediately after this review being posted, I received a call from the owner, who explained that the mistake was due to a mix-up, NOT a company process going forward. Due to her responsiveness and full understanding, I'm changing the rating to 5 stars. I've placed mobile app orders from Teaspoon before, the exact same order, and both times have been great (caramel cream with no ice, honestly 5 stars). However, today, I picked up my drink around 12:15PM and noticed that the cup was not filled to the top (see image below). Debated whether I wanted to bring this up or not but I decided to go ahead with it in case anyone else has experienced this and in hopes of getting an answer from a manager/supervisor. My question is: why am I paying an extra 75 cents for no ice if I'm not going to get more? I don't even care about the amount. Let's be real, it's probably just milk. But I don't like having my drink watered down because I'm a slow drinker, and if I wasn't charged for it, I wouldn't care. I think the place is super cute. It's decorated very nice for fall. The employees were kind. I like that there is outside seating on the deck. It's cool windy lounge vibes. The little pumpkins they used to decorate are very nice and it's cute and clean. I got the paradise lime drink and they gave me three dollars off since I added the app. The drink just tasted like lemonade to me though. They even put some real lemons in it, but I never tasted any "lime". I know what fresh citrus taste like and these boba drinks usually fall short of that real authentic taste of pure lemons/lime. MEHH. First time here I got the grasshopper drink which was really good. Second time I got the Vietnamese coffee which was also good...except on a 100° day they gave me FOUR ICE CUBES and the coffee was still hot. Third time here I come back for the grasshopper drink. Drink was good. But that blonde guy on register was the most useless person...he was standing around and taking the stickers for orders and putting them in random spots which clearly caused confusion and a long wait time for everyone. He was standing messing everything up and everyone had to fix his mistakes. Finally he left and everyone was able to clear everything up and make all the drinks.
