Such a great experience every time! The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, which really makes this place special. You can tell they genuinely care about their customers. This is the best neighborhood boba shop. I've been to tons and this is my favorite by far! Not corporate, feels like your neighborhood spot. Homey, welcoming, comfortable, genuine. A great, safe place to chill, do work, doodle (as you can see by the hundreds of drawings on the wall made by customers! Lots by professional animators and artists who work in the industry nearby.) However, I haven't told you the best part by far yet. Truly, the best part of Boba Loca is Miguel. You'll know him by his smile, his friendly "hello!", and his warmth. Miguel is everyone's favorite and I am no exception. Find caricatures of him on the wall labeled "Boba King!" because he is! He can make any drink you want - he is so gracious to customize any item to fit your needs and he has been there for over 20 years I believe!!! He is truly a gem and I could give all 5 stars just for him. However, the milk tea and boba are also the best I've had - perfectly cooked pearls, delicious milk tea that is not watered down. 100/10. I've been frequenting this place for years now and even got my husband hooked! This is the ONLY boba place to go to in downtown Burbank. ;) read more

This is the only place that I know have Grape slush as an option and they always have my Green Apple slush. I been coming here for a while and they never disappoint. Just be aware that if you pay with card then the price is a little higher than when paying with cash. The older man is always there so I believe he is the owner and he's very nice. I got their churro here once as well when I was with my friends and it was alright. If you get a regular drink, just remind them to put less ice and they are usually receptive with the request. read more

Boba Loca has a lot of great options for boba AND açaí. I got the brown sugar smoothie which was definitely really sweet (as expected due to the name) and it tasted great. Service was also quite fast and friendly with all of their lovely fan/local drawings posted to their wall which creates such a heart warming environment. I normally order the watermelon slush but today went with the horchata frappe with plain boba and it was super delicious and not over powerling sweet like other both places nearby. I only came here about 4 or 5 times because when I went there (not to many boba shops in Burbank) 8 years ago was only because there was no variety of boba shops. I always orders honeydew slush. Boba Loca is located in the downtown area of Burbank. It is a pretty busy area, so they were pretty packed. It is not a good spot to hang out or relax, since it was cramped/packed and pretty loud inside. I tried their jasmine milk tea with boba and I thought that it was a bit too floral to my liking and on on the sweeter side. Honestly, the long line and wait times was not worth it. Maybe they are not known for their jasmine milk tea because there were a lot of other Yelpers who complained about that particular drink. read more

I will be honest, based on the original looks of this place I was expecting the most mediocre boba. BUT looks can be deceiving and indeed this was the case. The staff was training a new worker and they did amazing! Got my difficult order correct AND was super friendly and understood the menu really well. I got the funnel cake and it was the first time I actually enjoyed one! It had toppings I like and it was much cheaper than I was expecting(only 6$) they had so many toppings to choose from and I loved that I could customize it. I also tried their matcha and it was really good as well! If you're going here to get boba they give you a good amount and their pearls actually taste good. The only downside is the place is a little narrow and at night they don't allow indoor seating but there's a free parking lot right around the corner so it works out! read more
