This is a small restaurant with drinks and take out. There are tables and paper plates to eat in. The food is amazing!!! We discovered their mushroom fries and come back for them but they now have octopus balls that are wonderful! We also had braised tofu and chow fun which were delicious. This is a small cafe in a strip mall next to Wingstop. It can be a little difficult to find, because the front says "Bobawok" but there's a sign on the door saying Favoritea. Ive been a couple times. The popcorn chicken is really good, and so are the drinks. The mocha coffee I got was great. The spicy cumin beef I tried was just ok, nothing amazing. They messed up my order the first time I came and didn't seem to care too much, I asked for the popcorn chicken meal and they gave me the appetizer. Don't be fooled by the dying strip mall it's housed in, this hidden gem is worth a visit. It gives divey vibes with dirty floors and clutter all around, but the boba is better than any I've had in Burbank so far and the food was fresh, well prepared, and the staff nice enough. It's totally a mom and pop joint. The staff is eating their dinners at the tables during downtime, but the chef came out to verify my allergies to make sure I could eat everything he was making. Be sure to check the half meal special that you can add a milk, black, or Thai tea and add boba. And speaking of boba. I stumbled upon this cafe in Burbank, CA was because I was starting to support local biz in Upscale LA cities such as this. When I arrived at this Cafe, the front sign posted, 'Soft Opening,' so I suppose they just recently opened for their biz. That and I went with what fellow Yelpers raved about their popular dish, 'Popcorn Chicken,' so I decided to try that dish instead of a drink. Boy, that dish was extremely fulfilling!!!! 'Favoritea,' served a huge portion of their 'Popcorn Chicken,' which were all properly cooked piece by piece. I had already chowed half down by the time I got home. Service was fast and efficient, I received my order within less than 20min of a wait time after placing order. This Cafe was located in a huge plaza, so parking was free and easy. This place used to be a Chinese food to go. It looks like the new owners kept the old set up and just added their own menu technology. The ambience is very out dated and there are boxes under the tables at the front counter. The service is quick and friendly. This is my second time here because I fell in love with the lychee slush with lychee jelly. My daughter got the same but with boba. The drink is pretty large and lasted a long time. I love the spot, ordered plenty of times from them as they open till a reasonable hour. They have bunch of boba tea options, and their food options are decent amount. Although the overall food quality is still quite mediocre, the meat or rice can be dry, the boba balls can be firm as goat shit, and the prices are much higher if you choose to go with delivery, and they sometimes mess up my orders too. Boba shop for this area? Solid. I actually reviewed this place back when it was still Bobawok last year. They've revamped their place to look a lot brighter and cleaner and upgraded their boba game. I ordered a combo special so you pick an entree and add a drink (you're given 4 choices) for an extra $2.50. I ordered a popcorn chicken meal with fried rice and added a house milk tea with boba. Popcorn chicken was great, crisp and mildly spicy. I recommend you remove the lid when you get it so that the steam doesn't make it less crispy. The container they put the meal in separates the fried rice from the chicken. The fried rice is just soy sauce and a bit of egg so you can go with white rice. Boba drinks are in tall cups now. Came by to try one of their boba drinks and it didn't disappoint! I ordered the Lychee green tea (50% sweet) with honey boba and it was pretty good! The honey boba was warm and soft with just the right amount of chewiness, and the lychee tea was not artificial tasting at all. However, I was surprised at how sweet it was at 50% sweetness. Although it was the right amount for me (and it's still on the lighter side), I'm glad I didn't get it at any more sweetness than that. I would give this a 4/5 or 4.5/5 but I think this place has great potential (just not quite a 5 star yet). I ordered a house milk tea with boba and my boyfriend a lychee tea with boba. We also ordered sesame balls as a snack. The total came to about $18 and change for everything. The sizes of the drinks were large but I'm not sure if that's the only size or if we weren't offered to choose - I don't mind however as it was the perfect size for me! The house was pretty good, however a bit sweet so I would go 75%/80% sweetness in the future. They listed honey boba but I think it was regular tapioca pearls? Didn't taste like powder mix or anything. Easy to drink. I always order a milk tea at new spots because if a place can't make a decent milk tea, I can't trust their other drinks! Thankfully this milk tea passed the test. The lychee tea wasn't too sweet and was actually really good. They offered black tea or green tea (get green!). It was refreshing and paired well with our order of sesame balls. I wouldn't get boba in this next time, maybe a jelly of some sort. My boyfriend probably finished this in less than 5 minutes! The sesame balls were crispy but still chewy on the inside! And they were red bean (my favorite!!) inside. They were a little pricey ($8?) for 8 pieces, so I probably won't get this again, but it was pretty good. They had a "soft opening" side on the door so I decided to give a try. This is probably one of the better boba spots in Burbank, as most here are pretty low tier/mall type of spots. The interior is pretty lack-luster but I'll chalk it up to the soft opening. It could definitely use a little improvement. What I love is the amount of food options available! A lot of boba shops only have drinks so it's nice to have this option. Finally tried this place. I've passed by it before and read the reviews when it was still BobaWok (not sure what has changed as the BobaWok sign is still up on storefront) but debated it. Now today I needed my boba and popcorn chicken fix and this is one of the only cafes I'm aware of that sell both, so major points for that! This place did not disappoint. I got their half meal of popcorn chicken, fried rice, and a Thai tea that comes discounted when you purchase with any meal according to their menu. Honestly this was a good deal! For being a "half meal" the portion was big and I could only eat half of it. On the meal you can choose between plain or fried rice. I went with fried and it was just okay. Nothing fancy, probably made with soy sauce and egg. It also came with a veggie egg roll and any meal will get you a drink for $2.50, but only for a few options (regular milk tea/Thai tea). The thai tea was good but I'll probably ask for less sugar next time. Popcorn chicken was amazing and even though I asked for mild it was a little spicy for me. They do have a variety of options regarding their drinks and food so that's definitely a plus! The staff was nice, but rather quiet. The interior is nothing fancy, it's kind of retro with the tile and part of their menu is taped to the wall. But this isn't important as it did look overall clean. I enjoyed the kpop playing in the background while I waited for my food. I got my drink really fast and my food came out in less than 10 minutes. Plenty of parking. This is in the plaza where the old Kmart is so the whole lot is pretty much vacant. Overall I'd come here again. I grew up in 626 where boba cafes are bountiful so my standards are kind of high since I've moved to Burbank and realized the options in the immediate vicinity are sparse. I then proceed to ask the cashier if they can add more sugar or Thai tea concentrate because it tastes so watery , he said "well... it's a liquid" I told him "I'm aware it's a liquid, it just has no flavor to it . He's like , I'll put more sugar . Walks away, no gloves or anything, proceeds to pull out the straw (mind you , right after touching money ? . And adds more concentrate .
