Brown bear boba (black milk tea with brown sugar boba) and taro milk tea with boba
Jessica E.

Had some boba here in Burbank after brunch...very fresh boba. So many boba places here in Burbank to try as well!

Blue Crab, Spicy Tuna & Shrimp Tempura to go!
Crystal G.

The rolls were soo good! I tried three for my first time there. I thought the BlueCrab would be my favorite but my fave was actually the Shrimp Tempura. They were all great, though, and it was a good amount of meat that made me happy. I preordered through Grubhub and the service was fast. I believe my order was ready before Grubhub predicted it would be ready. I don't remember much about the ambiance although it had the same vibe of one of those frozen yogurt places. The place looked clean!

Service was rather slow despite ordering ahead of time before arrival via Yelp. The place however was clean and neat in appearance. I would rate this poke 7/10. I was chewing a piece of salmon and immediately spit it out as there was a bone in it. See picture. They are also pretty conservative with toppings here. The jalapeños were sliced in half and there might've been only enough for 4 whole pieces. Same with the cucumber, the odd spaghetti ch umber was not very appealing in this bowl. Whole sliced would've been better. Overall clean place, but like other review said this poke was average.

*Boba Review* I was looking forward to trying Kokoroll as I was in the area and looking for a new boba spot to try. First off, street parking was easy to find which is always a plus especially in that area of Burbank. When I first walked in, I couldn't help but be overtaken by an overwhelming metallic smell. I ordered a Taro boba made with almond milk and extra boba. Didn't seem like they gave me all that much extra boba which was a little disappointing even though I paid for it. The boba itself was so warm in temperature that it made my entire drink warm which wasn't great because I ordered a slush. The boba was also hard on the inside, not soft and chewy like I would have expected. The worst part was that my drink itself was very powdery/grainy tasting. Almost like when you mix protein powder into milk. I wouldn't come back here for the boba.

Poke Bowl with 3 protein

3.5? it's not bad but it's not great. I've tried a few times and it is inconsistent. What I experience often is that the brown rice can have clumps or it seems undercooked or not fresh. Sometimes I can taste this tap water flavor in the fish or seaweed salad. I really try to mask it by mixing it up more. The unagi isn't good quality, a bit slimy. And their boba drinks are no good for me. Thai iced coffee is interesting but wasn't a fan. The cups are large though.

Poke bowl - all toppings, so fresh and tasty

Delicious bowls with generous toppings, fresh veggies, and amazing service! You select the menu and choose the base, toppings, protein, and sauce. I got half/half greens and brown rice with tuna and salmon with all the veggies. The yuzu ponzu sauce is light and slightly tarty and paired so nicely with my bowl! My friends also love the wasabi aioli, and sriracha mayo sauce. The workers are so kind and generous with the toppings. My friends ordered the boba and blended drinks and they were so delicious. They also offer non-dairy milk options as well as boba/jelly/etc drink add-ons. Definitely stop by for your poke fix!

The Poke Burrito was incredibly stuffed and delicious. Burrito with Salmon and Tuna.
Matt L.

The poke burrito was stuffed, juicy, and a complex layering of flavors. Highly recommend if you're craving sushi but want a LOT more fish than a regular roll night offer. How it works: you fill out a menu and check off everything you want in your bowl or burrito. You get to choose 2 different proteins (I suggest the tuna and salmon), toppings and sauces. For an establishment that is not boba-centric, they had some pretty good boba as well! Would recommend if you have a boba craving but don't want to travel to multiple locations after getting their really good poke burrito.

(Dined 06/22/21 TU @ 12:00pm): There's a place called Kokoroll that's where you wanna go... to get some fast poke and sushi! Since I was doing some work in the area, I recently met a couple friends at their request for lunch at Burbank's Kokoroll Cafe location. I've grown up eating poke bowls which was a basic peasant rudimentary dish back in the day before it became a healthier meal trend with fancier cuts of seafood, a plethora selection of toppings, and a higher price tag. As a fan of poke, I was glad to see its explosion in popularity (what took so long!?), but I wasn't a fan of the oversaturation of shops and the elevated price levels. How would I roll with this fish food cafe!? PURCHASE Thai Iced Tea w/Boba 16floz Cup ($4.85): A wonderful muddy orange color with a ton of large chewy boba pearls and minimal glass-like ice, this was an aromatic floral drink that easily could've been a meal itself, and it wasn't overly sweet. The price was a tad more than what I normally pay, but it was an enjoyable drink nonetheless https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=tqgBOsAhGut__IBERUSeuA&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. Poke Bowl - Baked Salmon, Shrimp Tempura, Ahi Tuna ($13.99): A collection of fresh ingredients from top to bottom, this healthy seafood bowl of goodness initially surprised me by the price. Thankfully, I was pleasantly surprised by the seafood portions (actually pieces versus the standard scoops I've grown used to) and how they were prepared, but I wished there was more rice along with the other toppings as my bowl seemed under-filled. Still, this Hawaiian dish left a smile on my face https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=-HxqzbWU-MoNS6e_4HYBWg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw. SERVICE Greeted by a young effervescent staff behind the counter, they happily assisted us with our orders as we filled out a plastic menu https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=-3zv7qnkgRVq1H9SylD-tQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw, our drinks came out minutes later, and lastly our food about ten minutes later. Everything was easy and straightforward - great job to all! PARKING (Varied; FREE this instance) We easily found timed street parking along the main drag of Olive Ave.. Otherwise, there was plenty of parking along surrounding side streets as well as parking structures - 'nuff said! ATMOSPHERE, DÉCOR, AMBIENCE A small squarish storefront that was primarily a stainless steel order counter and a small dining area in front of that but was emptied out due to the current COVID-19 pandemic https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=IiVjz6CHZqWWftgyxjSrCQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw, there was a handful of tables and chairs out front on the sidewalk where we sat. Minimal to little decorations inside with the exception of a white board https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=791Lfh_P_GqLCFgMWhmeNQ&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw on one wall, and an easily legible menu directly above the order counter. Plenty of natural lighting came in through the large front glass wall windows and doors while electric ceiling lights filled in the rest. I didn't notice any TVs while Top-40 music played in the background. https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=WbNbn3sxC-DfpVQDViw6Tg&userid=8jVT2inwc8GIQ6sH2UG9Vw ATTIRE Totally casual, so I would normally be in a t-shirt, boardshorts, and flip-flops. OVERALL I had a thoroughly enjoyable and relaxing meal with friends at Kokoroll Cafe's Burbank location, and I would consider another visit since I was in the area often. The food was very tasty, the menu selection was limited but varied enough (i.e. bowls, wraps, handrolls, boba drinks, etc.), the prices were generally comparable although I felt the bowl and wrap prices were a bit elevated, and the service was straightforward and fine. I found very good value based on the prices, service, and experience noted above (TOTAL paid experience was around $21.00 BEFORE any discounts/tip). And, they accepted my credit card of choice... AMEX! 4.0 STARS

I was so surprised that this place had such great poke! I've had the bowls twice now and I just love the hefty portion size (it is $17) and topping options. The fish always tastes fresh and the sauces and crunchy toppings make it so good compared to other places. This is my new go-to poke spot. They also have online pickup! Can't wait to try their boba too.

100/10 would recommend. Taste good and they also make it less than 10 minutes. Everything in their store is organized amazingly.

Taste so good and it smells amazing. Doesn't take too long. Better than most of the places I've ever seen. Doesn't get too much hype, but I would definitely recommend. Workers are respectful and good at their job.

Feel so healthy and good~!! Yummy!! Their ingredients are so fresh and Yuzo ponzu sauce was soooo good with poke bowl, pretty good price than tree choices of meat. Also, Acai bowl was sooooo delicious and big!! I think these are will be my favorite combo and I'll definitely come back!!

I decided to try this place out specifically for their milk tea, it's so aesthetically pleasing and delicious. I've tried all the boba spots in downtown Burbank and this is by far my fav there's 3 within 1 mile from each other. The presentation is very alluring, I actually got a couple of co workers try it out just because they loved the way it looked. But don't get me wrong it also tasted VERY good AND they have dairy free options. The service is okay, staff could be friendlier but they're not bad.. just nothing special. There is parking within the area, and place looked clean. Definitely recommend if you want boba!

Steffanie M.

I happened to come across this place as I was exploring Burbank and am so glad I did! The highlight of it all was how kind the staff was! I had a few questions about the boba as I wasn't familiar with the flavors, they not only made suggestions but also offered to modify my drink if I didn't like it! I tried their california and tempura shrimp roll. Happy to say that both the food and the boba were delicious! Will most definitely be coming back! If you're in the area I highly recommend stopping by!

Ended up going for dinner with the family and husband. They made us fill out a paper order since we were a group of 5. Our orders were filled by two different people, Kimberly (who messed up my brother's girlfriend's order and my mom's order) and Paola (who made sure to follow-up with my husband and I about our requests and informed us if they had items that were no longer available). We watched Kimberly put soba noodles into my mom's order even though she didn't ask for it and she denied it, even though she was clearly distracted chatting with a regular customer who was behind us. My mom kept asking and Kimberly was confident she didn't put the noodles in the order and rang the order up. My mom checked her bowl and there were noodles. Kimberly refused to give us the paper order since she had tossed it, but Paola was kind enough to redo the order. My brother's girlfriend had crossed off items from her original order, but Kimberley ended up ignoring her marks and also didn't inform her they had no more of a certain item that Paola had told my husband and I they ran out. She decided to keep her order since she didn't want to deal with Kimberly. Kimberley ended up requesting for the food order she messed up on back and she tossed it. We definitely ended up holding up the line because of the redo for one of the bowls and think that it would've been better if they just did our orders one by one verbally, so we could make sure our order was done right. Unsure if I will come back if Kimberly is still there cause I don't trust her taking my order and was glad Paola was the one that took my husband and I's order.

The ingredients include: salmon, masago, seaweed, imitation crab, green onion, furikake, fried onions, cucumber and ginger. It's a cute simple poke bowl. The rice was fluffy and the toppings were fresh. I enjoyed the bowl, however, I wished there was a bit more salmon or toppings because the rice was quite a lot. Build Your Own Poke Bowl: These are the following items I chose inside my bowl: - Base: half spring mix and white rice - Protein: salmon and yellowtail - Sauce: sweet ponzu - Toppings: mandarin slices, corn, cucumber, and edamame This was a lot better than the classic salmon poke bowl. I think it was because you get to pick your own sauce. PSA: There is no restroom inside the shop, however, if you ask the staff they will give you a code to a restroom located a short walk away.
