*Delayed post from May '25 Stopped in for a quick and easy to-go dinner around 8:30pm that did not disappoint. My visit lasted less than five minutes and the server/preparer was very kind. The location is very convenient for people in the area around McCambridge Park. It's on the corner of a strip mall with a laundromat, car wash and dry cleaners. There's plenty of indoor seating with paintings on the walls and all over the windows. Food wise, I appreciate the customization of the poke bowls, with plenty of cold and tasty topping options to choose from. I ordered a small protein bowl with spicy tuna and shrimp. The shrimp had a good texture that wasn't overcooked or rubbery, and came covered in a mayo sauce. The spicy tuna had a bite to it, which I appreciated since it can easily become mushy if not stored properly. The bowl also came with a scoop of crab meat, either regular or spicy, and you can choose your base of rice, mixed greens, or a mix of both. I love how many different sauces they offer as a topping, as well as fresh vegetables. To finish off the bowls, they also have sesame seeds and other crunchy options like peanuts and fried noodles. I recommend the ponzu sauce for a tangy, yet balanced experience.

I was going through the area and was looking for a poke bowl restaurant. I saw the positive reviews on this place and decided to try it out. I got a medium bowl for $18.99. It comes with three proteins. For my base I chose white rice. My other choices were brown rice and/or salad. I paid $1.50 extra for a scoop of avocado, which made my bowl over $20.00. The portions were big and I was surprised the big scoops of protein I got. Everything tasted fresh. I chose their spicy house sauce. Everything tasted very good. The place is very clean, the employee was nice. The place is a bit small, but there are a few tables to sit down and you can put them together if you have a group of six. I would recommend this place and would stop by when in the area again.

4 protein poke' bowl. It's packed with four different types of fish and all the toppings they have to offer (sans the tofu).

The food here is amazing! I usually have to venture out of Burbank to get good poké but this place makes me stay put. I love coming here too because the service feels like a friend is serving me their finest dishes and making sure everything tastes exceptional. The staff here is chill and welcoming, which makes for a positive experience. Good vibes always makes for a great time in any dining experience. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for poké in Burbank. Check them out!

Stopped by Poke loulu in Burbank and loved it. The chicken rice bowl was really good, the medium poke bowl filled me up, and the tuna rice cakes were amazing -- best I've had. Great spot!

This was so delicious!! I got a size small and it was very well portioned. The ingredients were good quality and a large variety available. You can order your bowl and it isn't charged by the amount of additional toppings aside from extra protein or avocado. The person who prepared my bowl was very patient while I was really slow ordering haha. Can be a very quick to-go meal or there is plenty of seating.

So so delicious! The best poke bowl I've had in the valley! And the owner was so kind and generous with the portions! The tuna and salmon were fresh and flavorful and the indoor ambiance was clean and welcoming. Highly recommend checking out Poke Loulou!

FAT POKE BOWLS, really enjoyed my bowl. Create your own, I got the medium with 4 protein plus you can get crab salad making it 4. Alot of their fish is wild caught and they have it labeled wild and farm which I like. Also, their selection of beverage was great because some were unsweetened for the non-sugar likers. Owner was super friendly and the facility was clean. Must try if you're looking for fresh, yummy, poke bowls!

My girlfriend and I love this poke spot. Everything starts with how unbelievably fresh the ingredients are--you can taste it in every bite. Our go-to order is the perfect trio: marinated ahi tuna, marinated shrimp, and spicy tuna. Absolute perfection. Lately we've been opting for the brown rice (though the steamed rice is just as good), and it's always warm, fluffy, and perfectly cooked--never dry, never overdone. The toppings take it to another level: mango for sweetness, cilantro and scallions for freshness, Fresno chili for just the right kick, plus edamame and seaweed salad for balance. Every sauce is great, but our must-have combo is the wild ponzu with a little house sauce--so flavorful and clean. On top of all that, the portions are generous, which is rare for poke, and the shop is always spotless with no fishy smell. On top of that, the service is amazing--the staff is always polite, genuinely welcoming, and even remembers us from past visits, which makes the experience feel extra special. Parking can be tricky, but it's absolutely worth circling the block once... or a hundred times, according to my girlfriend. Easily my favorite poke to date.

I love trying new poke spots and had high hopes for this since it seemed authentic Hawaiian. It looks super clean and new inside. I don't think there was anything special about this place, their prices were on par with other spots, but their fish selection didn't seem as fresh and there weren't any marinated specials. Their spicy tuna looked really watery, and I usually get that but it didn't look right. I got the salmon, albacore, and tuna with a ponzu citrus sauce and house drizzle. The sauces weren't mixed with the fish it was just drizzled on top of everything so I felt like the fish didn't soak in any sauce, it just sunk to the bottom with the rice. The house drizzle kind of just tasted like mayo.

Wow where do I start. Firsts off our family is from Big Island & Oahu. We have been searching for fresh & authentic poké in the area and this did it for us The fish was extremely fresh and the sauces were not overpowering what's so ever. I got the salmon, hawaiian tuna, and regular tuna. They loaded the bowls UP and was extremely generous with the servings which is something I see rarely now at other poke joints. Their toppings (veggies) are also fresh. The prices on the menu I would say is 100% worth it for this quality. Servers/the guys in the back also helped us with any questions we had which we appreciate so much as well. Thank you again and we will be coming back.

Broken Compass Tiki is a pirate themed tiki bar in Burbank…read more They don't having a parking lot, but it was very easy to find street parking just around the corner on a Sunday afternoon. The front of the building is a little vaguely marked, and the entrance has speakeasy vibes, which was a surprise. Upon walking in the front door, there is some tiki décor and a small counter in the rear. I remember thinking to myself "what the heck, this is it?". I checked in at the host stand on the left, and was handed me a boarding pass. She then led us through a hidden door behind what looked like a shipping crate. We were now in the real Broken Compass. The interior is a good size. The two-sided bar seats around a dozen. There is a lounge side of the bar that has two large booths along the wall, and another area with comfortable looking couches and lounge chairs. The main dining room has some tiki hut booths, and two sections of tables with half booth and half chair. The décor is pretty extensive with a good mix of pirate, nautical, and tiki themes. There is a lot of bamboo, thatch, rope, cargo netting, skulls and skeletons, port holes, octopus tentacles, jellyfish, tiki lights, and more. The ceiling is dark with various nautical and pirate markings, and even tied up ship sails overhead. The tiki hut booths have the parrots from the enchanted tiki room above them. Even the two restrooms are nautical themed, with beach and marine sounds playing. There is a lot of great décor to look at. We arrived around 2pm on a Sunday, so it wasn't very busy yet. By the time we left a few hours later, it was starting to get busy. We decided to sit at the bar. We started out with the buffalo cauliflower ($14) for an afternoon snack. The serving size was generous, and the buffalo sauce had a good tang. It was served with some sauces, and was surprisingly filling. A nice feature of the cocktail menu is that each drink displays one to three compass stars to indicate the strength of the drink. Their cocktails use a great variety of liquors including ones you don't often see. Many of the ingredients are made in-house. I started out with Chupacabra's Vacation (Demerara Rum, Jamacian Rum, Pomegranate Reduction, Cinnamon, Lime Juice, Bitters, two-star boozy rank, $17). It is served with a flaming lime on top and a little fire show. It was balanced with a light booziness, some light pomegranate flavor, and a cinnamon sprinkle on top. She started out with the Bittersweet Paradise (Jamacian Rum, White Rum, Campari, Passionfruit Syrup, Lemon, Lime, Pineapple, two-star boozy rank, $18). It didn't drink boozy at all, and was passion fruit forward, with light bitterness. My second cocktail was the Bermuda Dune Buggy (Gin, Overproof Rum, Kumquat Liqueur, Cassis, Orange, Lime, Bitters, two-star boozy rank, $18). It had a very unique garnish of a Chartreuse infused gummy which was delicious. The drink was nicely balanced, and didn't really drink boozy even with overproof rum in it. They have a rotating monthly cocktail and she tried the Tropic Like It's Hot (Coconut Washed Lemongrass Infused Rum, Mango, Lemon, Coconut Water, Amaro, $17) which was created by one of our bartenders Daniel. It was served in a Spam can and was light and refreshing with a nice pop of fruit at the start, and a very nice coconut flavor. We enjoyed sitting at the bar and had great conversation with our bartenders Daniel and Monica. They also provided excellent service. Broken Compass supports payment with the InKind app which gives you 20% back (10% on Friday and Saturday) in InKind cash. We had a really great time here, and the drinks, food, décor, and atmosphere were excellent. I purchased a Hork (Horse-shaRK) mug for $50 to bring home as a souvenir. We would definitely return again when in the area.

We've been doing that for a few years now, so that should tell you something right there. Our order is fairly consistent: we each start with a mimosa that comes in a highball glass, so one is usually all we need. Next, we share an order of kimchi biscuits (you get two). So delicious! Packed full of kimchi, bacon and cheddar cheese, it's a nice combo of flavors that play well together. The interior is usually soft and warm, with a nice crunchy crust. Top that with a smatter of the cinnamon butter that it comes with...yum! Our choice of entree varies, anything from avocado toast, to their kale and seaweed salad or any of their other selections they have from their brunch/lunch menu. On this outing, my friend and I both opted for the bibimbap. I opted for the pork bulgogi while my friend got the chicken version. It comes with a generous amount of carrots, zucchini, shiitake mushrooms and bean sprouts, and is topped with a runny, sunny side up egg that serves as an excellent sauce when you mix everything together, along with the gochujang sauce. We upgraded and got it with brown rice in the hot stone bowl. Worth it! The regular bibimbap is good, but when you mix in the crunchy crust that comes from the bottom of the stone bowl, you get an additional texture that makes the dish really stand out. The flavors already come together nicely, and the crunchy bits just enhance the experience. For dessert, we like to share the "lemon pie", which is actually a scoop of lemon gelato that comes in a glass that also includes graham crackers, topped with toasted marshmallows. A nice way to end the meal. And the staff! We usually either have Justin or Ann as our server, but everyone there is super friendly and helpful. They are consistently good at checking up on you and making sure you have everything you need. Just another 5 star reason of why we keep coming back!

The ingredients include: salmon, masago, seaweed, imitation crab, green onion, furikake, fried onions, cucumber and ginger. It's a cute simple poke bowl. The rice was fluffy and the toppings were fresh. I enjoyed the bowl, however, I wished there was a bit more salmon or toppings because the rice was quite a lot. Build Your Own Poke Bowl: These are the following items I chose inside my bowl: - Base: half spring mix and white rice - Protein: salmon and yellowtail - Sauce: sweet ponzu - Toppings: mandarin slices, corn, cucumber, and edamame This was a lot better than the classic salmon poke bowl. I think it was because you get to pick your own sauce. PSA: There is no restroom inside the shop, however, if you ask the staff they will give you a code to a restroom located a short walk away.

Toro Sushi & Poke House has quickly become a go-to for our family. We've been for both lunch and…read moredinner, and every time the food is very fresh, flavorful, beautifully prepared and there is something for everyone. The signature rolls (especially the rainbow and the terminator) are standouts, and the hand rolls are awesome too. They have delicious poke bowls where you can choose from a wide variety of fresh ingredients. The ramen is also extremely tasty. Definitely get an order of the jalapeño poppers! They're insanely good and I don't know where to find a dish quite like this anywhere else in LA. The sake selection is solid (I tried the sparkling sake yesterday and really loved), and prices are very reasonable for the quality. The space is comfortable whether you're sitting at the counter or at a table. There is a beautiful mural all along one wall. There is also patio seating available. The location is easy with convenient parking. Highly recommend. This place is doing everything right!
