Ume Tea has been a go-to spot for me, and it's about time I left a review. We got the Strawberry Yogurt Slushy w/ Crystal boba ($6.75) and Guava Strawberry Yogurt Slushie w/ Popping Oats ($6.75). The drinks came out quickly and were delicious! I appreciate how you can really taste the yogurt in their yogurt drinks. Every drink I've gotten here has been tasty--not too sweet and ingredients are highlighted well! I love Ume tea for their consistency and expansive menu! They have a drink for everyone, and I love how they keep things exciting by adding new drinks to their menu every so often. While there is limited seating, the option between a self-service kiosk or ordering the old-fashioned way makes for a quick, convenient experience. This location is found in a strip mall with plenty of parking too. Overall, Ume Tea has become my go-to place for boba! Highly recommend their yogurt slushies. read more

I have been here a few times. My kid likes their taro shake with boba. We tried their ceylon tea, mango yogurt, oreo creme brule, uji boba matcha latte with ice cream. My son didn't like the oreo creme brule so he sticks to taro shake. Their prices are reasonable and they give a good amount of boba compared to some other places. I am giving them 4 stars because during my last visit, their boba was hard, which means it was undercooked or old. That's some rookie mistakes for a boba shop. Wow! This place is NEXT LEVEL boba!! I usually go to boba time and this place is a different universe compared to that place. The drink options are incredibly complex, with deep flavors and fun themes. I loved the fruity salted cream thing I got and the sweet desert cream brûlée boba. The service was very good. My favorite!!! I stumbled upon this place, and it's one of the most consistent spots with some of the best drinks. It's reasonably priced compared to other stores. The staff are nice, and I enjoy the vibe of the place. There is one table inside and two outside. My order total was $14 for two drinks with toppings. Strawberry Yogurt Slushy w/ Crystal Boba: I love the yogurt flavor, and it pairs so well with the strawberry. The balance is perfect. There are real strawberry chunks included in the drink, and it comes with crystal boba. It's my favorite drink from this place. I find that 70% sweetness is perfect. Peach Lychee Slushy w/ Lychee Jelly: Refreshing drink! I went with their large Mochi & Boba Ceylon Milk Tea $(7.05) and that's all I got on this visit. It is a small yet cute, clean Boba place to indulge yourself and that's exactly what I did. She was able to accommodate me with 50% sweetener. My drink tasted FANTASTIC & on a bright sunny day was very refreshing. The drink was made quickly and I sat inside and enjoyed. Located in a plaza, plenty of parking but often times, a little difficult finding space. The parking space is a tight and may find parking to a little further away. The boba shop space is small with minimal seats for indoor dining. The pink and white theme makes it really cute The drinks are great! I love the mango pomelo sago. All the fresh fruit in that drink is like a dessert. The tea is also very good. They also have special drinks so check that out. Such an adorable little pink shop! Service was quick and friendly, and it was easy to order on the kiosk inside. I love that the kiosk lets you visually see pictures of the different items. I opted for the mango pomelo sago, and it truly was one of the best I've had! Perfectly sweet and I loved the little icy chunks of mango. They have a huge variety of drinks ranging from the classics to more interesting sounding ones. There's one small table inside with a few more outside to hang out at. So far I have tried tiramisu matcha, guava with sticky rice and mangonada. The fried chicken is also a must have if you want something to eat here. You have the ability to pre-order if you want; however, since this was not planned I ordered at the register. The service was fast, prompt and efficient. It was not busy at the time; however, it was a cloudy, cool day and early on in the day. I ordered the Mango Green Tea w/ Lychee Jelly, and it was delicious. They always give you the opportunity for modifications and to also modify the sweetness level if you desire. On this particular tea, the "normal" sweetness level is very sweet; however, that is just the way I like it. I've been to Ume Tea way too often for one reason and one reason alone, their Matcha! There's not a lot of great boba option in NoHo, let alone finding a great Matcha drink that is enjoyable. The drink that has kept me coming back was their Tiramisu matcha. I love the thickness of the drink and the balanced taste of not so sweet drink. I always forget to add boba to my drinks, so this review is not reflective of their boba quality. Their staff have been super friendly as well and I've had few conversations with them regarding their Matcha (they just changed it and it taste great still). Service is great, staff is kind, knowledgeable and offer samples in cause you have a hard time deciding on some of the options. We first heard about Ume in the Bay Area and when we found out this location was closeby, IT. WAS. OVER. My boyfriend really loves their Mango Pomelo Sago, and I enjoy their strawberry drink and sometimes the oreo one. They drinks are almost always consistenly made, and if they aren't for whatever reason, we're able to ask it to be remade without question! You can order at the little tablet when you enter or order at the counter, but the customer service is always great, so why not chat with them sometime! This was the first time I found a new spot through a yelp notification telling me of raving reviews of a boba spot in my area. After checking their menu, I had to try them out. This review is based off of delivery of items, and I have no complaints. I ordered their popcorn shrimp, spicy level and the strawberry matcha with ice cream. It wasn't until after I ordered, that I was wondering if my ice cream would be melted before it arrived. Luckily when my ordered was delivered, the ice cream was placed in a separate container and was still in frozen form! The popcorn shrimp was perfection, i love spicy so the level of spicy I chose was perfect! I also ordered my matcha at 70% sweet. I love boba time, however I missed being able to order popcorn style food AND I think Ume's matcha is better than boba times! On grand opening weekend, there were a ton of staff, all excited and ready to serve. For my order, I had their 3Q Milk Tea and White Peach Oolong Tea... and boy did it hit the spot! (Diet aside, how could I not sample boba from the new boba shop on the block?) Layered in their Ceylon milk tea was brown sugar boba, milk pudding, and red bean which culminated the experience of the 3Q Milk Tea. The boba was appropriately chewy, not too mushy and not too tough. The milk pudding was great, and the red bean was a gentle topping, adding subtle sweetness. My most anxious order was their recommend White Peach Oolong milk tea, mostly because I am not a fan of syrup or whipped cream - both of which were in this drink. Though it was on the watery end, I have to admit that I really enjoyed trying this drink. There was just enough white peach in there to provide support for and not overwhelm the oolong main character of the drink. Though the store itself is mainly a take-out spot, they have a few decorations for photos, and service was pretty smooth. I'm excited to make this my main go-to boba shop craving satisfier in SFV!
