Came by for a quick drink after errands. I tried the coffee milk tea. I was worried it might be too sweet but it was good! And the cashier was nice. Always a plus. Thank you!
Great boba spot next to the Ranch 99 in Van Nuys! I stopped by for boba after lunch nearby at Sam Woo. It's a small storefront with a handful of countertop seats along the two sides, so it's not the best spot to hang out with friends. I noticed most people were getting their drinks to go. They have a large menu of drinks, with a helpful list of their top 10 most popular drinks. I got one of them, the large Hokkaido oolong milk tea with half sweetness and less ice, for $6.85. I think I should've gone up a bit on the sugar level, maybe 75%, as it was a bit not sweet enough for me. However, the taste was really good. A bit caramel-y, which is what I've come to expect from Hokkaido milk teas. I come back to this plaza occasionally, so I look forward to my next drink here!
Headed here after dinner one night, and it was good! It was mildly busy (just because the shop itself is small so it can make it seem busier than it actually is), but we easily ordered our drinks and left within 10 minutes. The barista helping us was very nice and the drinks themselves were tasty and also a good amount! The store itself was clean with nice warm lighting. Will stop by again in the future!
Love this place as you can customize your drink - level of ice, sweetness, boba, or other added toppings. Service is fast, we end up going here to get a drink after dinner at Sam woo or grocery shopping at 99 ranch. Just fyi don't drop your drink - my son didn't pay attention and dropped his sealed full drink and it broke so all his drink went to the bag.
i ordered their Thai Thea with half the sweetness and it's perfect. Next time i'll have to try their Matcha cuz that looks great as well. Thank you!

Truly yummy! Our faves are brown sugar milk tea plus boba and monster boba latte. Reasonably priced, good customer service, and clean place. It is also right beside 99 Ranch so if you need to do some errands and need some refreshments, this is the place to be!
This is the best boba I've had in a long time. I got the signature milk tea with boba at 70% sweetness level which was perfect. I loved that you can adjust the sweetness and the ice levels. The pricing was also reasonable.
I think I'm leaning 4 stars with this one. Service was great, really friendly staff. The boba was okay, a solid 7 out of 10. Tasted pretty similar to Gong Cha I'd have to say. I'd be open to trying other drinks but don't think I'd go out of my way. Definitely a solid spot you can't go wrong with.
After dinner, we were craving something sweet, so of course, we had to get boba! The menu had a good variety of options, and we ended up ordering: Hokkaido Oolong Milk Tea (Less Ice, 50% Sweet, with Golden Boba) and the Peach Lychee Green Tea (Less Ice, 50% Sweet, with Crystal Boba) Right off the bat, we wished the cups were bigger for the price. Both drinks were 50% sweet, but we definitely would have preferred them less sweet. The Hokkaido Oolong Milk Tea tasted watered down and was still quite sweet. On the other hand, the Peach Lychee Green Tea was refreshing and tasty, though again, we'd opt for less sweetness next time. The crystal boba added a nice texture to the drink. If you're new to milk teas and fruit teas, this place is a good starting point. However, just a heads-up--they don't have traditional brown sugar tapioca boba, only golden boba. Would we come back? Maybe to try other options, but we'd definitely tweak our sweetness level next time!
I love bubble tea and this time was no different! Boba was cooked to perfection not too firm or chewy! I got the strawberry slush because I don't care for dairy in this case. I added rainbow jelly and I'm glad I did! Taste was perfect and will have to return and try other flavors when in the area ! Service was fast!
service: great! interior: bright, modern, and casual with a clean setup and high bar seats that makes it easy to order and hang out! health and safety: hygienic! would you crave for it? yes! my friends and i were dying from the heat so we stopped by for a quick refresher. i went for the passion fruit green tea with lychee jelly and their signature golden boba -- the tea flavor was strong but balanced so perfectly with the tangy sweetness of passion fruit. my friends tried the passion fruit yakult and it was just as amazing -- light, creamy, and refreshing. the toppings were chewy, juicy, and honestly the best finishing touch to beat the summer heat!

There are so many of these places and are all good/similar +\- The difference is the attitude. The three folks in the picture were fast and very friendly. Loved my Matcha drink. read more
Came in 6/3 around 7:45 pm I was to say the guy with glasses working had such an attitude He also made my drink very powdery... I figured he was having a bad day so I tipped to lightened the mood instead he kept just giving me the side eye. The place wasn't even busy was legit the only guests. Won't be back read more
Stopped by the 99 ranch market for groceries before heading home and had to stop by to get my boba fix at this Ding Tea. I got the green tea with golden boba and it was super refreshing! The workers were friendly and efficient. Shared parking lot in a strip mall that was slightly chaotic. Limited counter seating inside so its more of a grab and go place. read more

Whenever I am in the area I like to visit Ding Tea. Ding tea is located in the same shopping center as 99 Ranch, Pho So 1, Sam Woo, etc. Every so often I crave a good milk tea or switch it up with a smoothie or slush. After visiting one or all of the places just mentioned Ding tea is a great place to grab a drink for the road! I enjoy their milk teas as you are able to customize the sweetness and level of ice to you liking. I've tried several different flavors of milk tea and enjoyed all of them with no doubts. I am happy to say that Ding tea is one of my favs in the local area! Parking: medium size private lot. Can get pretty packed during the weekends. VERDICT: Rinse and repeat read more
Not having had Ding Tea in years, I was excited to relive some memories of their Hokkaido Oolong Milk Tea. Parking at this Ding Tea location is quite hectic, as it's a small lot that often leaves bigger cars feeling quite claustrophobic. The Hokkaido Oolong Milk Tea that I ordered was not as tasty as I remembered, and it felt very thin and too sweet despite it being 30% sweet. Ambiance wise, I enjoyed their decorations, but would highly advise against studying / working at this location. For starters, there is very little seating, and the tables feel cramped. The music is quite loud, and foot traffic can be extra distracting. Additionally, their tables are not stable. If you have the same misfortune as me, others sitting at the table may continue shaking the table with any small movement. Outside of the work environment and the drinks, the staff were friendly and welcoming though I do not see myself returning. read more

Still not as watered down as some places. My go to is either the classic or oolong MT hot with grass jelly. I get no sugar and add my own sweetener. One suggestion is to have sugar substitutes like monk fruit or stevia (for longevity since diabeetus is such a prob everywhere heh). Grass jelly is soft and delicious. |[ w h a t i t i s ]| Quick in and out, small interior but friendly staff so I def stop in when I'm here for food next door! I always forget how sweet these teas are until I have another one. Even though I asked for no sugar my peach lychee iced tea was super sweet. After a few sips I was done with it. They have a regular and large size. I got a large size and paid $6.10 .... That much for tea ??? They do have slushees, bobas, milk teas etc.... And I don't even want to know how much those will cost. The variety is good if you love sweet drinks and boba. The place is new and clean but smells very strong of the cleaning solution they use. When you walk in that's all you smell. Customer service was ok, not friendly nor rude. read more

Ding Tea's success lies on their ability to consistently deliver tasty boba treats across space and time. It's my first time at this location in Van Nuys, and the Hakkaido oolong milk tea was scrumptious as the ones I had at all the other branches. Staff was young but friendly, but that's not unusual at a boba place. We got our drinks fairly quickly. Conveniently located right next to a 99 Ranch Market and a pho restaurant, this location enjoys plenty of foot traffic. The parking lot is large, but it's still a struggle to find a spot due to the busy Asian market. read more

I think my kids are on a mission to try all the Ding Tea in SoCal. This is the closest Ding Tea to us and there is no line to get in. Sometimes, there is one party ahead of us in the line to order. There is almost always no line to order because the cashiers all know their stuff and it's the customer that would hold up the line. They are fast when it comes to making our boba drinks. Service is always friendly and helpful. Because sometimes, it is I that is holding up the line when ordering. DIRTY BOBA is great. We usually order with less sugar. COFFEE-BASED BOBA is also very good. STRAWBERRY is not too sweet when you order with less sugar. This Ding Tea is part of the 99 Ranch Supermarket center so sometimes, parking is insanely bad. read more

Their different flavors of milk boba try are a must try. And you can customize the sweetness, the ingredients, the coldness and sizes to your liking. Friendly and fast service. I got the taro milk tea with egg pudding, really good. And they made so much I got another one for free! read more
Service: 4/5 Taste: 2/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Cute, trendy boba place in the valley. There is little seating indoors, and ample parking as it is in a large shopping plaza. Unfortunately, we weren't too satisfied with our drinks and don't think I'll be coming back again. -Apple Slush with boba (3/5) : the apple wasn't a tart green apple like I am used to ordering from boba places, more so a sweet apple that reminded me of apple juice/sauce. The drink was okay, but there was waaaay too much boba (took up half the cup, see photo left), that it was overwhelming for the drink. -Signature Milk Tea with Boba (2/5): this one definitely tasted watered down. The tea essence was there, but I felt like the drink itself was lacking in terms of flavor and milkiness for ordering a normal sweetness drink. (Tasted more like a 25% sweetness drink). read more

After we finished grocery shopping next door, we decided to stop by for a quick boba fix before hitting the road. I've seen this place completely packed before, but fortunately when we went in it was completely empty. When you order you can choose your size, sugar level, and ice level. - Matcha milk tea, 50% sweet, less ice, with golden boba: The matcha milk tea was still too sweet even with 50% sugar so next time I might opt for 25%. I know this place is known for their golden boba so I wanted to see how it was different than regular boba. I was surprised to actually taste a difference! The texture is a little more firm than regular boba, but it was cooked really well and I was pleasantly surprised. I don't really order boba much, but I'm glad I gave it a try. - Grapefruit yakult/yogurt, less ice, with crystal boba: For the yuzu drinks they don't add additional sugar so you aren't able to adjust the sweetness. However, the grapefruit drink was great since the sourness of the grapefruit paired nicely with the sweetness of the yakult. Crystal boba is more firm and almost has a fruity, lychee flavor to it so it goes nicely with the yakult drinks. Drinks were prepared very quickly! It's located in a mall so there's enough parking but you may need to park a little farther away depending on how busy it is. read more
