I love BLTea's current Valentine's menu. I've returned for the U-Be My Boo Matcha multiple times now. The flavor combination of the fresh ube mixture at the bottom of the cup along with the ube cream on top + the matcha is SOOOO FREAKIN BOMB. All that plus the cute strawberry Pocky stick with the freeze dried strawberries on top is j perfect together. The various textures and the amount of sweetness in this drink are 10/10. You gotta try the U-Be My Boo Matcha before it's dissappears March 2. If you're looking for a new drink spot in the San Fernando Valley, BLTea is absolutely worth a try. Their menu is incredibly diverse and often shifts with the seasons. Unless you're ordering one of their staple beverages, don't get too attached to your drink of choice, as it may be gone sooner than you think! The Mango Sticky Rice is my personal favorite, but it's only around for the spring and summer. Get it while you can! Many boba shops in the San Fernando Valley adopt a function-over-form mindset, and aren't any fun to sit in. Even though BLTea is located in a smaller unit compared to its neighbors, they've really nailed the aesthetics and maximized their seating for their customers. It's a comfortable spot to relax in. My only point of contention is their service. I have found that interacting with some of their staff has been... difficult. When I am the sole member of my party, a few of their all-female front-of-house are quite curt and unwelcoming. However, when I'm with my female friends, they get treated with absolute kindness and professionalism (even during the same order). I really enjoy coming to BLTea for their drinks, but I often leave with a sour taste in my mouth because of this seemingly discriminate behavior. This is simply a personal experience I thought worth sharing for my fellow men, and does not apply to all of their staff. Truly a tough three star to give, as it has absolutely nothing to do with their excellent product. I stopped by this tea place to get my wife a drink since I was already in the plaza this store is in for a Yelp event next door. I found parking just fine but parking can be hard to find depending on when you come. When I walked inside, all the workers greeted me. I look at their menu and called my wife. She said the passionade and fruit tea looked good but I should ask which one they recommend. The lady working the cashier recommend the passionade so I got a large one and asked for light ice. Cute place, nice staff but I would go elsewhere for specialty coffee; it was very sweet w/o the coffee flavor. I've been twice to this spot in the valley. The spot is in a small parking plaza with ample parking. Overall, BLTea is more of a social spot versus a working spot, but we were able to chill there for a few hours on our laptops. The first visit, I tried their mango coconut drink (actually not sure if they still have it) and an Oreo cookie (not pictured). Both items were solid! During this second visit I tried the banana cream matcha with oat milk and the cream cheese Oreo milk tea. Drinks are solid, and I'm particularly impressed with the matcha. Matcha lovers know boba-centered spots don't particularly have the best matcha, as their focus is on overall drinks. But the matcha here is earthy, not bitter, and meshes well with the fun toppings. Don't expect the best matcha of your life or expect a matcha like those in Koreatown, but it's solid. This second visit, I believe we snagged the only outlet behind the plants and non-working self-service kiosk, so keep that in mind. BLTea is a great spot! We've been here before and always have a good experience. I highly recommend their matcha, especially the coconut matcha cold foam, which is my usual go-to. Today, we tried the iced sesame fresh milk and the iced tiramisu coffee latte. The drinks came out super fast, which we appreciated. The black sesame flavor was strong and nutty, but the drink itself wasn't overly sweet or heavy, exactly how I prefer it! It will definitely be my new go-to order. I found BLTea accidentally, I guess you can say. I was on my way to get coffee but the spot I was going to was closed. Undeterred, I went on Yelp to search for a nearby coffee place and one of the results was BLTea. So I quickly looked through their Yelp page to see what they had before driving over. When I got there the girl at the counter was incredibly friendly. She helped me decide on my Pistachio coffee with Espresso with the matcha cake. She also helped me decide that the next time I visit and there will be a next time I am going with a matcha drink and ube cheese Wait, I have gotten ahead of myself. I am so disappointed in this place and the issues started as soon as I walked up to the cashier. I was second in line and there was no greeting from the Hispanic girl taking orders. She had a serious attitude with all three of us in line and I definitely noticed. I really don't know how a place like this hired her. She mumbled things after I placed my order and just stood there leaning to one side without even caring about providing even decent customer service. At lest the other girl working (Asian girl making drinks) was kind enough to say "have a nice day" with a smile as I got my order It took 15 minutes for my drink since it seemed like NOTHING was prepped. The two girls kept throwing and banging things while running back and forth from the main prep area to the two back rooms. Now for the let down on my order. I asked for the Banana Pudding matcha Latte with light ice. The ice request was followed which I appreciate. But the matcha was not mixed well and tasted super watery. As for the "banana pudding" aspect, it doesn't make much sense. There's hardly any banana flavor except for a small dime size piece of banana mixed in. The rest was just whipped cream with crushed nilla wafer cookies. And the lid isn't really ideal because the opening is so wide that you can't drink it like a normal lid. I wasn't given a straw but there was a spoon in my drink (which I thought was a straw until I got to my car) and I just have to wonder who is scooping out whipped cream to eat from this drink? You go anywhere else with some sort of cream/foam top and you're supposed to let the topping mix with the drink as you take sips. Eating whipped cream doesn't really make sense. As for the ube basque cheesecake, it was definitely over baked and had a decent cheesecake flavor but hardly ube flavor. The color is gorgeous but it's not worth it. $16 for this pairing just thrown out. read more

Stopped by here for my tea fix of the day. I had their earl gray milk tea with sea salt cream. Milk tea was good with strong tea flavor. I just wished their sea salt cream was thick and creamy like other boba places. Their sea salt cheese foam did not taste good because it was lacking cheese flavor and i think it was rather a whipped cream topping instead of a whipped cheese topping. It was disappointing to add and pay extra fee for sea salt cheese to my milk tea. They also offer sweet desserts as well. Friendly staff and this place is clean and modern with decors inside. Drinks: They add real ingredients on their drinks and use high quality matcha. It doesn't taste like a really processed drink or like an artificial/fake matcha. They always come up with cool recipes and unique flavors that you normally don't see in other cafes. The ferrero ranchero cookie was my personal favorite.
