Tried this today as I saw it on tik tok pop up as an Okayama kobo dupe for the banana cream matcha. The banana pudding and boba was good but boba didn't hit the mark for me. I was sad cause I wanted to try their ube crookie but it sold out right before I went to order so I got the biscoff crookie instead which was pretty good. Very sweet! It wasn't too crowded when we got there but we ended up waiting around 15-20 mins for our drink and treat. Biscoff earl grey milk 5/5, not too sweet, excellent temperature not too hot and was able to drink immediately, thick foam on top, tastes primarily of earl grey w cinnamon and vanilla, traces of biscoff, mainly in foam Matcha-misu 4.5/5, this was soft and creamy with a ladyfingers hidden on the bottom. The matcha flavor is really present throughout though it's a bit rich in sweetness. Smoky Hot Chocolate 3.5/5, I wanted to love this. The hot chocolate is standard itself and it's covered with a very thick marshmallow layer that I had thought was foam but is actually super thick marshmallow top. I had a really disappointing experience at BLTea. I never leave reviews but this one I needed to. The cashier working when I went in (she had bleached eyebrows and a medium/tan complexion) was extremely rude from the moment I walked up to the counter. I asked a few simple questions about the menu and every response I got was very dry and dismissive, like I was bothering her just by asking. What made the situation more frustrating was that I tried to order ube cream, which was clearly listed on the menu, and she told me no. There was no explanation or effort to help at all. It honestly felt like she just didn't want to make it. Customer service really matters, especially at places like this where people come in excited to try drinks. My guest and I went here after lunch, and it was perfect. We both got a version of the banana pudding with coffee and matcha, which was a perfect balance of dessert and coffee you could have at the same time. Service was very quick from ordering/getting recommendations to having the drinks ready took a total of about 5 to 7 minutes, if that. What a nice way to leave a lasting impression. Bad drinks and customer service. Menu was weird. There were pictures by the counter that were all not available. Only the ones on the screen were available. Staff was very condescending while taking our order. Staff was a woman with round face and frizzy hair. She spoke very low and does not seem to understand an inquiry. She was almost whispering. We ended up repeating ourselves because she kept on asking what our inquiry was and just giving us a stare. Uninterested in describing the drinks when the current menu had no description. She was able to communicate and respond promptly when it was time to tap the card and pay. Nobody called for our number unlike the other orders. Our drinks were sitting there for a few minutes. Twilight lychee was very sweet. Mango matcha dream was not a good combination of matcha and mango. Barely any mango flavor. It was bitter and sour. Doesn't seem drinkable so we threw both in the trash. Music was also very loud. I really like this place. They have many options, and always do seasonal drinks/pastries. The employees are all very nice. The reason I am giving 3 stars is because of their punch card reward system. My favorite drink from here is their "Mango Matcha Dream" - a delicious seasonal drink. They offer stamp cards, which grant you a free small size drink once full. There is an extra charge if you upgrade your size to a large. Recently, they changed their policy; any topping or add on is extra as well. The Mango Matcha Dream comes with cream on top, and they are now charging extra for this even with a full stamp card. Now, I understand if I was adding boba or something else to the drink, however this drink comes with the foam already - it is not something extra I'm asking for, it's even shown included in the drink on the menu. The mango cream is not even in the section of "toppings" or "cream". For example, majority of the other drinks don't show boba included - so that would mean they are an add on, and thus an extra charge, right? I just don't understand why I'm being charged extra for something that is already included in the drink. Hope they can fix this soon. read more

Their milk tea is good and their speciality drinks look delicious (and highly involved). My main issue with this spot is the service. They seem to have multiple people working and continuously miss online orders. I've only been here a handful of times and I'd say about half I've come in and they cannot locate my order and I have to wait for them to make it from the jump. This is my first ever review where I go out of my way to give a business a 1 star. I use to really enjoy going to this boba shop and even promoted them on my instagram one time. However, the owners attitude when addressed about a drink being made incorrectly was so unprofessional. I had asked for boba but it wasn't included so when the drinks came out I let them know. I told her I mentioned it to the cashier but I didn't realize she didn't charge me until after the drinks were made... I told her I'd pay for the boba and if she can just add it to the drinks without making new ones, since the boba typically goes at the bottom she could just flip it. She told me she would give me the boba on the side when I wanted it inside the drink.... She was giving me a hard time for a mistake on their end. Respectfully it isn't a consumers job to fix a mistake your baristas or cashier made. I had to get a refund and repurchase the drinks just to get them made correctly. I never complain and typically I'm really understanding, however if I'm paying almost 20 dollars for two drinks I'd like them made the way I ordered. So sad to see a small business loss consumers over unsatisfying customer service skills. Update; So since yelp doesn't let a person response. Yes that's partially true. However I offered to PAY before even taking the drinks outside or trying them at the pickup station... that's when the owner basically said even if I paid it'd be on the side. You didn't offer that as a solution you basically insisted that's the only solution you had. I had to go through a refund process because I wasn't satisfied with the drinks... because we wanted boba lol. In addition a man came in shortly after stating his drinks were made incorrectly as well. But realistically when I spoke to the cashier and told her my order very specifically her not charging it isn't a customers fault, I think she even repeated it back so in my head the order was correct. Who wants boba on the side when it goes on the bottom lol. After all that's the reason people go to boba spots in the first place, to pay for a drink prepped by a business not themselves. It wasn't my friend it was my 13 year old sister... who clearly wanted boba so yes I went back inside like any person probably would. They also have a noodle coffee jelly which I've never seen before. I got the black sesame fresh milk with boba and 50% sugar. Amazing black sesame flavor, very on point. Their boba was quite mushy but I didn't mind as much because the black sesame flavor was so good. I also tried the ube mochi cookie. Very yummy and not too sweet which was great. The mochi is only in the middle but still a yummy experience. The only thing this place can improve on is their aesthetic. It looks a bit outdated inside but because the drink and sweets are so yummy, I would definitely be back as a regular :) read more

They scrambled a bit to see what the issue was, asked if I ordered through DoorDash or something else. Came in on a slow weekday evening and tried the Yogi Rice drink, Ube Matcha and Strawberry Matcha latte. The cashier/barista had a hard time describing the drinks but we still went with them anyway because they seemed good. However, off the bat the first mistake was that we ordered the Yogi Rice drink with boba, to which she forgot to add the boba. I asked if it could be remade to have the boba that I paid for to another barista to which she replied 'Can I give you a side of boba?'. I politely declined since I wanted and paid for the boba in the drink. She redid the drinks and we then proceeded to try all three drinks, to which all of them were not good at all. The Yogi Rice Milk Tea drink tasted absolutely awful. I'm a lover of yogurt and greek yogurt but this tasted too sour and had no flavor of the rice whatsoever. The Ube Matcha Milk Tea had no taste of the ube top, you could only taste the matcha which wasn't the best either. The Strawberry Matcha Milk Tea had mushed strawberries in it that really off-put the texture of the entire drink. The matcha itself was way too strong. Overall, I'm very disappointed with this place. Came here for a late night catch up sesh with my cousin and it was the perfect place to hangout, they closed at 10pm on a Wednesday. The interior was def my vibe with many plants and rattan / wicker furniture pieces. The staff was also very friendly and they kept the place very clean. The drinks and dessert were delicious! I got the Strawberry Milk and my cousin got the Milo Dalgona (both non caffeine since it was already late). Mine had fresh fruit in it and his dalgona had the crumbles on top. Another item which has no taste to it either is the red bean. Man I have never had a disappointing tasting red bean and I've had so many in my life.
