New on the menu! Their version of a smash burger! It was really yummy! Charcoal bun with picked onions and kimchee aioli. Will order again!

One of my favorite places to get breakfast or early lunch on the run. Some of my can't misses are their cappuccino muffins, bouquet breakfast burritos, decent chilaquiles, azalea breakfast sandwiches, kimchi tacos, egg frittatas, avocado toast, chicken chicken and waffles, and acai bowls.... just to mention a few. Pictured is their new smash burger. Highly recommended! Of course, their coffees are This place is super cute and the baristas here are great. They even remember your name!

New on the menu... Smash burger!

Great service as usual. Some great new additions. This smash burger was a nice change up from my usuals. Will definitely order it again. Charcoal bun, pickled onions and a kimchi aioli all align for a great bite every time. It was so good, I ended up eating the whole thing in one sitting. Will definitely have to reorder!

They have live plants around the shop and it makes it feel so cozy.

Great vibes and yummy food. Every time I come here it doesn't disappoint. I also have real estate business appointments here and it's a perfect place for that. Highly recommend a yummy latte or their açaí bowl.

I wish I liked Black Heart Coffee more because I can tell they have a lot of fans, but I got their chocolate croissant and avocado toast and really wasn't a fan. I didn't expect there to be a mochi-like texture inside of the chocolate croissant, so it was a lot heavier than I expected. I do think the flavor was good, but it was just a surprising texture thing for me. Their avocado toast was nice in the sense that they added a lot of avocado and pickled onions, but for some reason, the avocado did not taste like fresh avocado. The color also reminded of the avocado that comes out of packets because they have to add chemicals to keep the taste and color of the avocado the same. I got their most popular latte, and I did really enjoy that. It had sesame in it and was really creamy, and it definitely hit!

First time trying Black Heart Coffee! Love the name. For a drink I got the butterscotch latte. It was sweet but not too crazy, such a fun treat. Extra shot of espresso had me full of energy for quite awhile. For food I got the Abelia salad (it's like a southwest salad) but made it a wrap with the wheat tortilla. It was bigger than I thought! The wrap and tater tots were enough for two meals for me. The sauce (ranch & bbq) was the perfect amount. I'm a sauce girlie so always worried there won't be enough but it was awesome ;) I had some issues placing the mobile order (had to do it 4 times) but it eventually worked. Great spot!

What a great find. This spot is well hidden in a small strip mall but is quite spacious inside. Theres a few outdoor tables on a patio and lots of seating options inside. Locals vibe but also a lot of ppl planted with laptops. Coffee is stellar. And the bouquet burrito was amazing. I don't know what else you could ask for. Staff was kind and accommodating. Extensive menu with a lot of Korean leaning options. Delicious, can't wait to come back!

Found the perfect coffee/breakfast spot in the valley that opens at 6am. It's rare you find a place that's open early, has great coffee, great food, and a cool interior. Stumbled on this one when working in the area and saw they can customize their options to also make things vegan. They have vegan morning pastries such as a chocolate loaf cake and lemon poppy one as well. They have seasonal drinks, a lot of nice seating inside, and some parking in front. They can get busy as you get closer to 7am, but they also offer ordering ahead from their website. The hot sauces they give with the breakfast burrito are so fresh and delicious, perfect pairing. Prices: $5-$15 Parking: front shared lot or down the street Dietary: vegan and.vegetarian options available Seating: a lot of indoor seating Service and atmosphere: great meeting place with nice and friendly staff

We stopped by for breakfast after seeing photos on the beautiful interior of the cafe and the food. Everything looked and sounded so appetizing. I went with the chilaquiles and they were very tasty! It had a lot of chicken and egg which I appreciated! My friends who ordered the berry french toast and breakfast burrito also enjoyed their food a lot! We all got coffee and we didn't have a single complaint. The butterscotch latte is a MUST try, I wish I ordered that instead of the white chocolate latte haha. My drink was still so good, the espresso is so smooth. But the butterscotch latte my friend got was sweet and I loooove my sugar! We went around 10am and the inside was super busy, filled with people working on their laptops. So we sat outside which was very nice. Our food also took a while (25 minutes) from ordering but that's expected when the meals are being made to order. Thank you for having me!

Vanilla latte

The food was really yummy and our orders came out relatively quick! My sister loves the kids meal with French toast. My favorite is the Mediterranean stuffed pita with chicken. The first time I ordered this it was perfect, but this time around there was a lot of dressing in the salad so the pita got a bit soggy so it was a mess but a yummy one. The Madagascar vanilla latte was delicious and my go to order. I decided to try the Black Heart latte and it was good as well but wasn't very sweet and I couldn't taste the sesame paste... so I'll have do give it another try, but I did ask for some extra vanilla syrup in addition to the simple syrup that is standard to the order.

Bouquet Burrito

Black Heart Coffee is a great spot! This was my first time here, and I ordered online for pickup, which was super easy. I ordered the Bouquet Burrito and the hot Black Heart latte with whole milk. The burrito was so good!! Everything paired well together and it wasn't dry at all. On top of that, it is pretty big, which I thought was worth the price. The latte was good too; I just wish the black sesame flavor was a bit stronger, but I'd still order it again (maybe iced next time). Parking is a bit limited, but there's a small lot in front plus street parking. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming. I'd definitely come back!

Sooo good! Their parking lot is microscopic but we found a spot around the corner. Really busy but the service is quick and the staff is friendly. Really big menu with lots of options for a small coffee shop. Plenty of seating (even some couches toward the back). Their burritos are huge and tasty. I'd come back!

This was such a great find on Yelp!!! Definitely a hot spot. Great healthy food choices and reasonable prices. Coffees look gorgeous but we had our morning coffee prior but will try next time! The avocado toast was delish. The breakfast burrito and 2 salsas were very good. Pastries look great too. Overall A+, and we will be back! Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating in the shade. Parking in front and also lot in back.

Should have tried The Bouquet burrito or the Chilaquiles. FOOD 3/5 It looks better than was it tasted! Sunflower Avocado Toast - BEAUTIFUL but tasted okay Mashed avocado, toasted red pepper flakes and blistered teardrop tomatoes topped with sunflower seeds, pickled red onions and micro greens on thick toasted multigrain bread. Azalea sandwich - HARD PASS FOR ME next time Smoky chipotle sauce, fried egg, Pepper Jack cheese, caramelized onions, black forest ham, crisp bacon and pico de gallo on a toasted ciabatta. Black Heart Latte New recipe made with *black sesame paste,* simple syrup and a little charcoal to keep the same spirit of the original. SERVICE 4/5 No issues from placing the order to picking up. AMBIENCE 4/5 Beautiful ambience and love the faux plants and artwork on the wall. They did a great job with the branding throughout and even outside. PARKING 4/5 Small lot in front and free street parking around

Parking was easy to find, they have a lot and there are several surrounding free parking lots. The cafe inside was clean and well designed with several tables - by the time we got out drinks, a table had cleared up and we sat down. We ordered the matcha einspanner and the hojicha einspanner. The matcha was high quality, very rich and strong. The cream added a nice sweetness, but it wasn't overall sweet or bitter either. I love hojicha and always recommend it as an alternative to matcha or coffee at cafes. The hojicha here was chocolatey and smooth, absolutely amazing! Very well balanced and well made drinks - and they are absolutely photogenic as well ;) Highly recommend!

They have a small and limited parking lot behind the coffee shop as well as some street parking open on Reseda and Dearborn. There's a Trader Joe's and Chili's across the street with more parking as well and I have parked behind Dave's Hot Chicken and the Habit and there is always space there. Ambiance: This coffee shop is quaint and feels a little cramped when you finally get inside and through the line. There is a counter top with some chairs as well as one couch and desk where one can study although, I personally never would. It's clean and bright with a minimalistic vibe inside. With it being cramped, you basically just get in, order, and get out. It's rare to find seating inside and it can feel overwhelming just sitting there trying to enjoy your drink with so many people around. Drinks: We've been there multiple times and you can always expect the same- mid, slightly overpriced, oh- getting some post purchase clarity. But it's the type of slightly regretful decision we continue to make every time. We've gotten the matcha einspanner on several occasions, vanilla iced latte, caramel latte, and the most disgusting Americano known to man. Whether you get the dark or light roast Americano, you will not run away from the burnt and bitter flavor. Service: The line moves quickly, they take your order and get you in and out without a long wait. They also offer stamp cards, buy 10 get the 11th free. What a steal! Gimme 10 more! Overall: All this to say, it's oddly grown to be a valley staple, and represents some bordering LA values- overpriced, overhyped, but for some reason addicting in the fact you always seem to go back. I would say 3.5 but it doesn't allow it, so I'm feeling generous today.

I turned into the small street nearby but all the street parking was full and there was a gated parking lot right behind the building with the gate to enter open but the gate to exit closed so I didn't want to have another bad experience and avoided it altogether. Swung around the front and got lucky with metered parking. Their entrance is on the side despite all the signs and windows up front. Walked into an empty shop, 1 worker guy greeted us and took our order. This place had a lot of seating but felt more like a dessert place and based on my drink, it was absolutely that. I got the Creme Brulee latte and it was torched at the top like you'd expect so that was cool. Gorgeous decoration which is great for photo ops. Once the guy gave me my drink, he basically disappeared to the back. I took my photos and left. It was good but tasted like melted coffee ice cream. They have a big mirror near the entrance you can take pictures with your friends at, and as a girl, I looove it haha.
