Wish they were bigger, because one WASN'T enough. So good!!! The space is small, clean, and eclectic in its modern and Argentinian decorations. Not a regular to the area, Tortoni caught my attention as I was trying to find a cafe nearby and seeing it being one of the highly rated. Having both indoor and outdoor patio, the capacity was decent and despite being busy the people's turnover went pretty quick. Their baristas were super helpful and patient waiting for me making my decision as I was firstly bit overwhelmed looking at the option including their seasonal fall drink menu. Ambiance wise, so long as you're fine with bit loud background noise, you'd be okay. I ended up following the crowd with their favorite Nutty Latte, which came with blend of macadamia and hazelnut syrup. They served Verve coffee beans so their coffee was pretty good, lil bit on the milky side for my liking but plus point was prolly it would suit those who fancied just subtle level of sweetness for their latte. I did enjoy the nutty aromatic hint from the coffee. I also paired my coffee to their walnut pastry which was enjoyable buttery nibble especially as they offered reheating pre-served! read more

The service is incredible here. I came in a 9:40 and there were 3 people working. They had a really great system in place and were very organized behind the counter while having a pretty full house in the cafe. My drink came out in less than 5 minutes and the color of my ice vanilla latte is perfect! The flavor is perfectly balanced. It isn't overly sweet or bitter (from the coffee flavor), it's sooo good. After driving by a couple hundred times decided to stop in and try it finally. Staff was very friendly, parking can be a bit tricky with no dedicated lot and only meter parking. The coffee is really good. Went with a vanilla latte and it's one of the better ones I've had. Also tried the cinnamon pinwheel pastry. Was really good warmed up and very buttery. Not too loud inside, fair amount of people working remotely as usual, and to be expected in any Los Angeles coffee shop. read more

The empanadas were delicious! We ordered 2 Breakfast, 1 Corn, and 1 Spinach. I enjoyed the breakfast one the most, it was cheesy and meaty and a great way to start the morning. Spinach and corn were also delicious, use the chimichurri that comes with them! I ordered the Horchata latte and it was sweet and flavorful; cinnamon was pronounced. Service was 10/10! I love it. Tortoni hired more people to compensate. The line is never too long -- the cashier and baristas work fast and accurately. The KALE & MUSHROOM QUICHE is delicious. The crust held well and the filling is generous and tasty. HOT LATTE is always great tasting - not milky. PICCOLO tasted very much like the cortado. And the cortado... Decided to drop by this place since it was near our destination this morning! Parked nearby along Ventura at a metered parking. Pretty busy when we dropped by around 11am but they brought out the drinks QUICK!! Super satisfied with how short of a wait it was for our drinks. I went for an iced nutty latte 16oz and my bf got a hot green tea. Super small coffee shop and since it was so packed, we were awkwardly standing in the middle in front of the door basically. The seats and tables were all full and there wasn't really a good spot to wait. Thankfully the drinks came out really quick so we were in and out of there in no time. I came here on a Monday morning after a workout in the area. I did not see plaza parking available for Tortoni, so I parked on the side street just before the cafe. You can also find free street parking on the residential streets nearby the cafe. There is indoor and outdoor seating available and the cafe was busy on this Monday morning! so it is definitely popular. However, the seating is fairly limited and I don't think it would be good place to sit and get work done. They offer both sweet pastries on display as well as savory empanadas! Tortoni also serves Verve Coffee and sells their own merchandise if you enjoy collecting local coffee shop merch. Matcha Latte w/ simple sugar sweetener and almond milk 1/5, I did not like this. I asked about how sweet this was when I ordered and they did inform me it does not come sweetened, so I added sweetener. My issue is the matcha powder was not appropriately blended within the hot water / milk, so I ended up drinking solid chunks of matcha powder which was,, unpleasant. Dulce De Leche Latte 4/5, this was STRONG omg, the double espresso shot really hit me and woke me right up! I loved the taste of this because it did taste significantly of Ducle de Leche, however, it might be a bit too sweet for some. read more

This is a cute coffee spot! They serve the usual coffee options, along with some spanish favorites and their signature sides, like empanadas. I tried the ham and cheese empanada, and it was amazing I enjoyed every bite and wished I had more, but unfortunately, I was already on my way out when I finished it. I also had a horchata latte, which was okay--I've had better, but it was still enjoyable. However, those empanadas are THEE business! I loved the unique decor and the way they showcase spanish culture, especially with the flag on display. As a Salvadoran, it means a lot to see love for our neighbors. I'm guessing the owners are from Argentina?, but I'm not too familiar with the shop yet since it was my first visit. One thing's for sure,it won't be my last! read more

I have come here a handful of times and I have to say they probably have the best spanish latte around this area. I've gotten the vanilla latte and spanish latte and hands down the spanish latte takes the cake. I haven't tried their other items like their food or other drinks but one of these days I will. Anyhow they have an online ordering through their app but I noticed the price is like way more than it is in person which is not right. Their drinks are super pricey especially for the spanish latte I believe it's an additional $1.50 more. Parking well good luck if you can find street parking which is metered or I'm not sure if you can park in the shopping center next door but even that area is so congested. They have indoor and outdoor seating. I haven't felt comfortable enough to sit here and drink my drink, I usually grab and go. There are some nice people who make small talk once in a while. I was in the area taking care of some business and before jumping back on the freeway, I decided to stop by and grab a drink. I did a quick search online and saw this place right down the street from where I was, so I decided to give it a try. Upon walking in, I was really impressed with the aesthetics of this place, it was very nice and the branding was amazing. I'm a graphic designer and I always keep an eye out behind the branding of companies, and this is something that caught my attention about this place. I looked through the menu and decided to grab a iced chai tea with oat milk, same order as any other place I ever go to. The lady (cashier) told me the chai is not sweet, and that I was able to add a sweetener, there were various options including agave, honey, vanilla, etc. I understand that these options tend to be extra charge at all other places, so that was not a surprise, however after adding the vanilla sweetener and oat milk substitution, the price for my single drink was $9.98, pretty much $10. Which seemed kinda high for it as it wasn't a large drink. While I waited for my drink, I looked at the hats and shirts they sell, again all of the aesthetics of this place are 10/10. I enjoyed the environment of this place and the order was ready in a reasonable amount of time. I hopped back in my car and took a sip of the drink and oh boy....was I disappointed. I don't know if I was disappointed in the fact that the flavor was not good at all OR that it was $10. I figured "oh well, you live and you learn" and I started driving back home. I thought I could just drink it and go on with my day but I honestly couldn't. I ended up having to throw it away. I ended up grabbing a drink from another spot on my way home. I wish I could give it 5 start because it really wasn't their fault that I didn't like the taste, however I think the price is slightly high compared to the size and I honestly was not happy, so that is why I'm giving it 4 stars. read more

Loved the casual, inviting community vibe, which subtly invites friendly banter and conversations among strangers. The staff were warm, friendly and attentive, and they have WiFi, making this a cool, go-to spot to enjoy delicious coffees, teas and macha, among other amazing creations. On the Ventura Blvd strip this is a lively little shop with a small seating area. I was helped quickly and the baristas were just okay, not out of the ordinarily nice. My drink was made quickly! I like that they have a half&half pitcher out. As for the drink itself - very disappointing. I got the Horchata latte expecting rich & creamy flavors but instead felt like I was drinking water and sugar. It didn't even taste like an actual Horchata. I have heard great things about their Chaggacino and would be considering coming back to give it a try. But I paid over $8 for a drink that ended up in the trash when there are PLENTY of other coffee shops in the area that this place is not much competition for. read more

I've passed by this cafe sooo many times and never went in because the font of their signage reminded me of the UFC font (not the best reason, I know), but then I found out it was Argentinian-owned and you know I gotta support mi gente Latino. So I took my laptop to be a stereotypical wannabe writer and ordered an horchata latte and a chicken empanada. Both were great and I'm definitely returning for another one of those lattes! I was especially surprised at the warm welcome provided here! Just went in, paid $12 for a matcha, that tasted grainy and very watery. I asked for a vanilla matcha with vanilla cold foam and was met with a watered down matcha. Basically telling me over and over that she was just going to do it this time and downplaying my experience with the drink. My entire thing was just getting a new drink take the loss and just change my experience??? Customer service is truly awful, I've never been this disrespected. As an avid coffee lover I am always on the look out for new coffee shops to try! This one popped up on Yelp, so my boyfriend and I decided to give it a try on a Saturday morning. He got the horchata matcha latte and I got the golden maple latte. Both were delicious and came out fast! They had a bunch of other interesting flavors on the menu too. We also got a ham and cheese croissant and a ham and cheese empanada. The barista heated them up for us and came outside to hand them to us. So sweet! They were both good but the croissant was my favorite! Especially with a little chimichurri sauce! The cafe was busy but there was still seating available on the outside patio, which was lovely.
