I'm always looking for new coffee shops to try out when I'm in a different city and my best friend and I happened to be dress shopping in the area and stumbled across this place. I'm particularly picky when it comes to coffee shops - I love finding small cafes that either roasts their own beans or makes their own syrups as they usually tends to taste a lot better! We ordered two matchas and two banana bread lattes (1/2 sweet) which weren't overly sweet and tastes amazing! The matcha was also a great color and hand-whisked. I've wanted to try this spot for a minute and I was finally in the area! I got an iced drink, I believe with rose in it and I can't remember what my boyfriend got. We also split a vegan cookie. The spot is small, but has lots of seating options. The decor is super cute and the chairs are comfortable. The employees were fun and kind! The drinks were good! They weren't out-of-this-world, but they were good! I wouldn't make a huge trip out of my way to come back, but if you are in the area, it's worth a stop! They also have the cutest merch. read more

Inside is very cute and vibrant! Staff was friendly and welcoming. Parking is difficult since it is on a main blvd so be prepared of having to go around in circles to find parking. We got the brown sugar latte with cold foam & the matcha latte with cold foam. The iced coffee was well balanced not too sweet or too strong. The iced matcha latte was lacking matcha flavor it tasted more like milk so definitely recommend seeing if they can do a tad bit more matcha to balance it out if adding cold foam. read more

My friend and I had a great work day at Valley Coffee Grounds! Such a cute lil shop with comfortable seating options, outlets, and good coffee. I found Valley Grounds Coffee on Yelp while looking for a cafe with wifi and outlets so I can get work done and not drive too far out and I ended up here. I'm in love. Love the fun latte and matcha options they have here! The espresso is REALLY strong. It's strong in flavor and in caffeine. Honeycomb latte: 8.5/10 I love a sweet latte but something about this was just okay to me. Maybe it was because the honeycomb was put sugar but the latte was still strong bitter so it was a weird combos points for being unique though! A small coffeeshop with great vibes. The design here is modern, with slat panel walls with subtle ,built-in led lighting strips. The customer service is friendly and they're happy to recommend their signature drinks. Between the signature latte and matcha, I went with a latte -- the brown sugar latte, to be specific. It was very smooth and you could taste the delicious flavor of the brown sugar in each sip. The drink was both, comforting and energizing. To complement my latte, I went with their warmed up chocolate chip cookie. It was probably the thinnest chocolate chip cookie I've ever had and that actually helped the overall taste of the cookie. Crispy and slightly crumbling all throughout consistency with craters of warm chocolate, made this cookie special with every bite. Stopped in here when I was walking by for a quick coffee. Jordan helped me out and she was super welcoming and kind! I always feel awkward at coffee shops because I like to try the fun drinks but I hate just standing there trying to figure it out, jordan helped with that, she explained the whole menu to me, and they have seasonal offerings also! This place is a top contender for the best coffee shop in the valley. I've been meaning to review it for ages. I've gone here so many times and every drink is delicious. Didn't catch the barista's name but they were super sweet and had great energy this morning! This is located along Ventura so parking is always a pain. Luckily it's Sunday and we found a spot pretty easily. Walked over and there were maybe like 2-3 other people here. Valley Grounds, located on Ventura Blvd and Van Nuys, must have been hiding because I must have driven past this place for ages without spotting it. Parking in this area of Ventura is difficult; there's metered street parking that feels impossible to grab but I found free street parking the block behind though this is limited as well. They do not have their own space for parking in the back alley :( This shop aesthetically is very cute and you can tell they care about their branding as it's consistent throughout and makes for cute drink / cup photos. Iced pumpkin matcha 2/5, ok so I chose this as their fall seasonal drink after trying their matcha a previous day (bitter and would benefit from added sweetener imo) I was feeling in a Fall mood so opted for this. 'Say you love pink without saying you love pink' probably was the perfect representation of this place. The vibrant pink color surely made it stand out and just gave that lively ambiance. Amidst the Halloween spirit, the deco was kinda fun too! I went for their brown sugar latte oatmeal raisin cookie, which could be reheated pre-served. Kinda disappointed with the cookie being tad soggy, but the decent coffee and friendly barista thankfully made it up. It did come with generous portion at quite affordable price (if you know LA price tag!). I did see a lot of people went for their Matcha so probably that's the next one to try. read more

The cafe offers cozy indoor seating and delicious coffees! The coffees are created with some artistic flare. They're not your regular boring coffee. Valley grounds is a wonderful little shop with a nice calm atmosphere to enjoy a coffee and read or have a chat. The staff are friendly and attentive. The drinks are excellent and they also have the best coffee cups I've seen. I love their iced beverage cups. It's not something I ever really thought of until I saw theirs and realized that iced beverage containers elsewhere are extremely lacking. I loveeee this coffee shop. The drinks are unique and delicious. I've had the vanilla protein coffee - similar enough to something I make regularly at home. Today, I tried the Gold Digger which features honeycomb toffee. Hands down, my favorite coffee drink right now. I'm already scheming my next visit for it. The environment is fun, edgy and inviting. Service is efficient and personable. The shop is cute and sells merch. I wish this place had easier parking, because I'd be here much more often. Hidden gem! Vibey space with great drinks! Came by today and was pleasantly surprised at all the drink options. Jordan the barista at the front was so lovely and assisted me in making some choices on what to order. She went over the whole menu with me and made some suggestions. I opted for their strawberry matcha and seasonal pistachio cold brew. Strawberry matcha was perfectly balanced and not too sweet. Cold brew was nice and strong and loved the pistachio foam on top! Tried one of the pop tarts as well and it was delicious. The space has plenty of seating including some tables outside. Also were plenty of metered parking spots available on Ventura! We almost left because they weren't quite open when we got there, but thankfully, I saw the door open and we stayed.. Stopped by to get coffee on my way home from a business meeting. I haven't been here before, it looks like a new place cause I have passed by here many times over the years. I ordered a cold brew with milk. It tasted good but the barista put so much ice in the cup that it barely had coffee in it. A bit disappointing, so in case I come here again I have to make sure to say easy ice or check before leaving the coffee shop. The service was ok and the ambiance here was really cool. When you step inside you will be greeted by lots of pink, black and gray decor. This girl's favorite color palette. There is a long gray bench shaped cozy sofa surrounded by pink comfy swivel chairs perfect for some hang time with friends or to catch up on work. The menu has some fun drinks like "Hot Mess!" And now there are a few Holiday drinks available like "The Grinch." So order a drink from Jordan, the barista, then plop yourself down into a cozy chair. *We ordered a 16oz Latte, a 16 oz Brown Sugar Latte and shared a plain croissant. Everything was delicious! Saw this spot on instagram opening, so I finally decided to try it out. I think they've only been open for about a month or 2. I was originally going to order the valley grounds latte, but when I got inside, it was pretty empty so I was able to chat with the barista and ask what their favorite was. They mentioned the brown sugar latte is good - and I'm always up for trying new things so I got that, iced, with almond milk. It was the perfect amount of sweet and coffee flavor! It was delicious. Their cups are super cute, as well as the stickers on them. The place is super clean, I believe has Wi-Fi, looked like cozy chairs and overall was great. Truly a 5/5 experience. I've said this in some of my previous reviews and I'll say it again: I'm a sucker for outstanding customer service and this is exactly what I got at Valley Grounds Coffee. The staff was a team of 1 greeting all guests with a super warm, approachable demeanor and friendly smile, taking all orders and making all the drinks. I got their signature Valley Grounds latte and it was perfect (I love rose lattes so that was easy). It was also served in a beautiful cup with a heart-shaped little thingy (see pic for reference). Music volume was just right, not too low and not too loud. As for parking, it can get tricky on Ventura Blvd but I got lucky with a metered spot right across. I'll definitely be back! :D read more
