    Pretty but underwhelming
    Christine L.

We've been wanting to try this place because of how beautiful the cakes look. We stopped by here to try it. We got the mango and the raspberry one. Both were underwhelming. Taste was too creamy with no prominent flavor. The texture melted almost as soon as you get into it. Although very pretty, didn't love it and would not come back.

I give Tu Cha a 2.4/5. I saw this place randomly on google maps as a nearby cafe and was excited to try the cakes as they looked super cute. Unfortunately, I was a disappointed by the taste of the desserts. Parking was a little difficult as the location is under a residential complex. They have a nearby lot for free parking but the sign was so small, it was hard to notice until we were even at the store and saw the placard. We ended up parallel parking on the perpendicular street and walking to it. The store was quite busy for an afternoon and they had a good amount of seating spaces. We sat at one of them and requested the staff to clean the sticky table which happened quickly, which was nice. The interior was quite nice and modern. The digitial pos system made ordering easy. We ordered a variety of desserts and two drinks that amounted to around $60-70. It was pretty pricey and we understood the effort put into each dessert, but I wish the taste of the items also reflected the price point. The Bing chilling ice cream bites were pretty disappointing for $23. I had a slight expectation of them tasting natural and subtle but some of the ice creams were artifical tasting. The banana and peach especially tasted artifical and I did not like them. My tablemates thought the peach was okay. The strawberry one was my favorite but the others were alright or too artifical tasting. The smaller ones had too much chocolate to ice cream ratio (2:1). The devil fruit and the my man go cakes were alright. We knew there was a chocolate shell but everything overall was just way too much chocolate. Despite the gateau name, I wish there was actually cake in the dessert and not just all mousse and gelatin. There was just too much mousse and tart filling inside so the dessert tasted a little too gelatinous with the chocolate shell. Having some cake inside would've balanced things nicely so we thought the desserts were just alright. For ~$14 each dessert, I was left craving something better. The drinks were also alright. My friend thought the tiramisu latte was okay but my sister did not like the osmanthus oolong milk tea and thought it tasted watery. She expected it to taste more milky or tea-like for $7 a drink. Overall, Tu Cha was a little disappointing and we expected a little more because of the price. The desserts were really cute and Instagram worthy but tasted just okay. I know a lot of effort was put into these desserts and wish they tasted nicer but it just wasn't to our tastes.

    Yum!!!

I, like so many others, fell victim to the many many many videos all over social media--person after person sitting in their car with a box full of deliciousness, crunching their way through these beautifully artisanal treats. So when I found myself in LA with my daughter, it was a no-brainer. We were coming here. And it absolutely lived up to the hype. We must've timed it perfectly--it was nearly empty when we arrived, and by the time we left, there was a line out the door. We ordered...honestly, I think one of everything. No regrets. Our absolute favorite was the mango, but truly, there wasn't a single miss in the bunch. Parking was easy, the space (including the bathroom) was spotless, and I loved how simple it was to order using the iPad setup. 100% worth the time, the money, and yes--the social media spiral that brought us here.

I got the following: double strawberry matcha, mango pastry, bing ice cream bites. The ice cream was fruit shaped and fruit flavored and the pastry too. They also had free parking down the street and it's labeled Tu Cha free parking which is so nice of them. Service was great. To sit down, can't come in large groups- would be nice to have some outdoor seating in the future if possible!

This is a popular fruit shaped chocolate coated ice cream . It went viral all over internet! The product is sold out everywhere . It was sold out and my friends could not even got their hands on it ! Today we are lucky to be able to get one and we tried it as soon as we got home . The chocolate comes in 5 shapes and flavors : banana , strawberry, peach , grapes , mango . One container has two sets of fruits flavored ice. We took a bite out of each . My favorites ones are banana and peach . . The chocolate layer is too thick and the sweetness over powder the fruits taste of the ice cream . Today is on sale $16.99 , 50 cents less than Normal price .

Came yesterday (Sunday) at 8:30pm & no line I enjoyed the matcha dubai heart cake ($22) & the citron dessert ($14), total $43 including tip Haven't tried the citron yet but really enjoyed the matcha Dubai!! All items are quite pricy but I enjoyed it. My 3 star rating is for the overall experience due to the parking. They provided an address for a parking down the street since there was no street parking. WARNING: do not parking in the parking lot with a black gate. The correct parking should have dirt & it next to the black gate. The car was stuck inside the gated parking lot since a key is needed to go inside & outside. It's also hard to see since we went at night. I told my friend today about my experience & the same thing happened to her.

Finally had the time to visit Tu Cha in La. I always see this on Instagram. First of all let me say this place is really pricey. If you come here, I would just go for the desserts. I ordered a tiramisu latte and it was just OK and not worth the price to me. The signature Deserts were really pretty and I did like the taste. My girlfriend ordered a special cookie Dubai Melt in a tin and it was $28 super expensive definitely not worth it. The description on the menu says it comes with ice cream and then the counter person said that you actually have to spend extra money which is nonsense. Inside it's average size and was quiet. There were a couple of people on their phones. Good desserts overall but not worth the price.

This was my first time trying Tu Cha, and I went in thinking it might just be the hype--but I was happily proven wrong. We came just for dessert only and tried the mango, chocolate, and the little bites. Everything was super flavorful and creamy, with a great texture when you bite into the white chocolate shell. I was especially surprised by the little bites--the fruit flavors like banana, peach, and strawberry actually tasted like real fruit. And if you're a chocolate lover, the chocolate one is a must. The place is a bit pricey, but it's a fun treat-yourself experience. The staff was really nice and welcoming, the space was very clean, and the chef even came out personally to answer our questions, which was such a nice touch. Overall, I think Tu Cha is definitely worth the hype!

Finally got to try this viral fruit mousse cake!! We went on a Saturday around 2PM and it wasn't crowded at all! There was no line so we were able to order right away and nothing was sold out yet (thank god!) i guess the hype died down a bit but it was so good i'm so hyped to bring others to go and try it with me again. We got the cakes fast since they're ready made and had to stand around abit to wait for seating. (Despite there being no line for ordering, there were people eating the fruits and i feel there could be more seating.) We ordered the mango, berry, and citron. The mango was a classic! It tasted the most balanced between sweet and tart for me. The citron was sour but might have been even sweeter than the mango because of the goey stuff inside! Finally the berry was the most tart and had a different flavor theme than the other two so eating it all together was abit funny but I still loved it! I would order them all again though! It's abit pricey though so I think this is more of a special treat! PS also ordered their tiramisu matcha latte which was just okay~ they did say this was their newest drink though so maybe they're still perfecting it!

We attended had dinner in Koreatown and wanted to have dessert. Found Tu Cha on Yelp & remembered I had seen their desserts on Instagram We ordered Mango, Peach, & Berry cakes and the ice cream Bitty Bites. The cakes had a shell that was filled with a creamy gelatin. In the center of each, there was a candy center and jelly complimenting the flavors. Personally, the mango was my favorite The Bitty bites were great for sharing & the flavors of each fruit came through. Staff was helpful and gave recommendations. Fun treat for a Saturday night

I've been seeing so many reels for TuCha's beautiful fruit desserts that I had to get some to try. I ordered these for delivery so can't really speak to service or ambiance because I didn't want to drive all the way there. The desserts are very consistent from everything I've seen, both in terms of appearance and flavor. Other reviews have mentioned the amount of cream and while I feel like TuCha's have less than other bakeries' fruit pastries, it's still quite a bit of cream! The fruit flavor inside the mango and peach were so light, almost flavorless even for me (I don't like super sweet stuff). The best was the strawberry and pistachio because of the tartness of the strawberry jam. Didn't get a leaf with my Citron, did love the taste of the lemony "cheesecake" (no yuzu or cheesecake flavor) and the refreshing passionfruit filling though. I'd get these two again. The Dubai chocolate cake was okay. I wish there was more cake and pistachio kunafa and less mousse (about 50% of the cake) and the hard chocolate shell on top really didn't add much. Dubai cookie melt doesn't come warm but the cookie is slightly crunchy round the edges and super chewy, the perfect cookie for me. Also wish there was more pistachio kunafa cause I was trying hard to find some. Overall, they're novel and fun to eat but very messy and not all of the pastries are hits (for me). Also very pricey at $15+ per, the cake was like $22 or so, and the Dubai melt $28. I amended the rating cause I got the strawberry again, and along with the Dubai cookie, it's really grown on me and I think about it a lot lmao.

    Just Peachy
    Rachel D.

Super fun to try! Plenty of street parking and they have a few tables inside for guests to sit down and enjoy. Service is quick, so you don't need to pay for that much time on your meter. Packaging is very friendly, so we were able to enjoy this in the car. Just Peachy was my favorite and the flavor combination works so well together. The center is an Earl Grey Tea filling with some fresh peach. Not too sweet, but packed with flavor. My Man Go and Berry3 were also good, simple, and on the sweeter end. I can see these being a favorite for kids and anyone with a sweet tooth. Overall, everything was good and worth trying at least once. They are visually very stunning and take quite a bit of time and effort to make, so we can see why it's priced higher. I wouldn't drive into the city for this again, unless it's for a celebration or special event.

I've seen a few videos of these viral desserts and my friends and I decided to check it out! We were worried they would have a line or run out but it seems like the hype has died down. Love that they have a free parking lot (albeit it looks a little sketchy) that is a short walk from the store. Due to limited seating in the store you may have to take your desserts back to your car. I'd also consume as soon as possible. We tried the lemon, raspberry/strawberry and the mango at around $14.50 each. I personally liked the lemon the most but would not come back again because I don't think it's worth the price or the drive. We also tried their matcha tiramisu which didn't really taste like tiramisu and actually tasted like full on grass. This usually means its either a lower quality matcha, the powder is old, or the water was too hot and burned the matcha. Either way, skip on the matcha and maybe come by to try the desserts once for the novelty.

How long can the fruit desserts last if I'm taking a 3 hour flight back home? Is it not recommended? My daughter has been wanting to try.

My favorite item we got, pastry was fluffy and buttery. Not too sweet, filling was the strawberry preserve and some sort of custard. Seasonal Citrus Vanilla Danish - the citrus was charred with a torch which added too much burnt flavor. Not sure what citrus it was but also too strong and overpowering, slightly bitter as well.

We first discovered salt bread in…read moreMyeongdong and fell in love with the crunchy, exterior and the soft, pillowy interior with salty buttery bites. The problem was that we weren't in Korea. With low expectations, we found Concerto Bakery in K-town, because c'mon, how could anything be better than the original? We read on Yelp ahead of time that there were two separate parking structures. We knew ahead of time to enter on Mariposa Ave but we missed it and ended up in the Hmart parking structure. This was fine with us because we planned to shop anyway and knew there was a $30 spending for free parking. The bakery was situated directly in front of Hmart with an open design with two to three counters of pastries. We zeroed in on the salt bread. At first, my daughter was sad because they didn't have the strawberry salt bread, but I noticed a small sign stating that the pastries can be ordered at the counter. My wife reflexively grabbed the original salt bread and savory breads (mentaiko, garlic) and I grabbed the sweet salt breads (milk, anko, sweet potato). My son does not appreciate salt bread yet and grabbed a twisted donut. We paid at the counter, and they were really sweet answering any questions we had. My wife bit into the original salt bread, paused for a second, and a smile spread across her face. The crunchy exterior combined with the soft, buttery, salty bites were EXACTLY like the bites in Myeongdong. We tried all the other breads, but honestly, nothing can beat the original. A close second was the milk salt bread with soft, fluffy cream contrasting with the flaky, salty bread. The mentaiko salt bread offered an explosion of salt. We ended up at the counter a total of four times because 1) my son wanted another twisted donut; 2) my wife got more salt breads; 3) we got drinks; 4) and my wife got even more salt breads. Writing this review makes me crave Concerto Bakery's pastries.

I buy bread here often, and I always like this bakery because everything is delicious and the staff is friendly. The garlic cheese bread I had this morning was especially so delicious. When I went there yesterday evening, they told me that donuts, sandwiches, and salt bread were 30% off. I thought about buying a sandwich, but I didn't because the sandwiches had ham in them. Other than this location, I used to go often to the Concerto Bakery inside Hannam Market in Koreatown LA. When you go there in the evening, they sell three or four breads for $10, so I used to buy bread from there often. But recently, some of the bread stayed in the refrigerator for more than two weeks, and I ended up throwing it away. After that, I haven't really been buying bread from that location as much. cf) One downside was that when I asked for paper plates, they said they didn't have any.

I waited ~10 minutes for everything to be made hot and fresh, burning the roof of my mouth in excitement -- and I'd do it again. Dulce de leche ponchik was the best caramel donut I could ever dream of. There's at least 2 generous tablespoons of molten lava deliciousness in one ponchik: it spilled over into the box! Potato perashki is how I burned my mouth: flavorful, salty, herbaceous. Beef empanada was fried to golden brown perfection, full of velvety minced beef with small pieces of potato (corned beef hash could never). The (cream) cheese roll was not too sweet, smooth and rich in flakey pastry. Don't sleep on the seasoning salt offered for savory items either: it puts Lawry's to shame. I happily devoured my box of reasonably priced treats on the small outdoor patio, curious to know if I had arrived later what else might've been on display in the bakery cases. 2/8/2026 ATELIER…read morePETITES Taken from Dōmi website: "Atelier Petites are individually crafted, single-serve mousse cakes designed with the precision and balance of fine-dining desserts. Each piece features smooth, sculptural finishes, layered flavors, and seasonal components--elegant in appearance and delicate in texture." Each cake serves one and is 2.75" in size. Love that there were mini versions of these mousse cakes. All of the glazes were done well and the cakes were moist. Earl Grey Strawberry - Light Earl Grey and strawberry flavor. However, I prefer the Jasmine and Strawberry combo. The Earl Grey Strawberry combo did not taste harmonious like the Jasmine Strawberry. The glaze is beautiful. Not only aethetically-pleasing, but the light jelly-like consistency, creamy and smooth glaze brings a beautiful texture. The cake is moist, but you mostly get the glaze. It is a mini-cake, but you can taste everything in one bite. It is small enough where you can eat it by yourself or share with someone if you want half. Sobacha - Good nutty flavor of sobacha, buttery flavor at the end. Yet still light texturally. Overall beautifully done! Hojicha - Beautiful, strong hojicha flavor. Any hojicha lover would love this! Espresso Cookie Butter - Really good strong flavors of the biscoff. But did not detect nor taste any espresso flavor anywhere. Matcha - Light in matcha flavor. Vanilla sponge cake. Buttery flavor at the end. Chocolate Black Sesame - Very strong black sesame flavor. Has a caramel layer between. Buttery, nutty deliciousness! However, I prefer the signature cake slab version. Favorites: Espresso Cookie Butter, Hojicha, Chocolate Black Sesame. SIGNATURE CAKE SLABS Taken from Dōmi website: "Cake Slabs are sliced portions of our signature whipped ganache cakes, crafted for effortless enjoyment without compromising on quality. Each slab features soft, balanced layers finished with light whipped ganache made using Valrhona chocolates--refined, indulgent, and true to our fine-dining-inspired approach to cake." Before consuming always bring to room temperature or the swiss meringue buttercream will be hard and the cake will be a bit more dense. Yuzu - Very good yuzu curd with light tartness and sweetness in balance. Creamy buttercream. Vanilla cake was soft and moist. London Fog Birthday - Love the overall look! Moist vanilla cake. Light Earl Grey flavor in cake. Vanilla buttercream is thick and creamy. Overall tastes like light Earl Grey. Love the rainbow sprinkles throughout the cake! Chocolate Black Sesame - The black sesame whipped ganache and vanilla buttercream is so good! Moist, rich cocoa cake. Not dense like the last time I've tried it. The thin layer of caramel between the cocoa cake really brings the nutty black sesame and buttery caramel flavors together. Without the dark, buttery caramel flavor, this cake would not be as fantastic as it should! The cocoa cake was slightly dry when eaten separately, but with the buttercream, I could not tell and it was delicious! Hazelnut Blood Orange - Tasted a bit of hazelnut flavor. Cannot detect the blood orange. Had to double check my order to see if I got the right cake. Can only taste cocoa cake. A little bit of deep tea flavor or caramel. Hard to detect. Some kind of dried yuzu or blood orange peel on top. It was a bit hard and unpleasant to chew on. This was my least favorite. Favorites: Chocolate Black Sesame, London Fog Birthday. I'm glad I've got to try both types of cakes, but I love the signature cake slabs! PICK-UP Domi does not have a physical store, so you must order online and pick a pickup date at the Temple City location. Currently they only have Saturday pickups. Once you arrive, please text a message to Domi and they will bring your order out to the parking lot. All details will be given once your order is confirmed. It's an easy pickup, however there has been instances where they did not bring my order out for several minutes and I had to go to the pickup location door and inquire of my order. Domi also have their items sold at various restaurants or coffee shops. It is for a limited time, so check out their website for more details.

As per usual it has been my anual tradition to request a domi cake since I discovered this bakery…read more This year's Birthday cake was a 10/10. I can see why this flavor is popular. I got a London fog Birthday cake. Which consists of an earl Grey sponge cake and sprinkles. I felt like a little girl when I cut into the cake. I really dont know how to explain how happy it made me.
