I came across this cute boba shop on a whim while waiting for my friends. I had a lot of time to kill before seeing them and luckily this shop had great hours. Honestly, I loved their drinks (I used to work at a boba shop so my standards are very high), I really liked their Thai Tea! I also love their amazing customer service. It has a claw machine and also sell labubus! Frames with many famous Koreans visiting the place and with their autographs. Not much seating, wouldn't recommend this place to hang out. I ordered three things from the menu. Popcorn chicken rice bowl, passion fruit hibiscus tea and earl grey madeleines. Popcorn Chicken Rice Bowl: I loooooove popcorn chicken and with rice = the perfect combination. The rice was cooked perfectly and the chicken had that little crispy outside and tender on the inside. I appreciate the guy making it because I was so hungry and wanted to eat. Passionfruit Hibiscus Tea: There's a reason why it's one of their top 15 drinks by customers. I love the tanginess of passionfruit and the color from the hibiscus tea. It was definitely a refreshing drink that wasn't too sweet for me! Earl Grey Madeleines: Ahhhh this was baked to perfection and the earl grey filling was not too sweet. Loving the bright flavor of the bergamot citrus in the cream and wasn't too overpowering. What a duo I didn't know I needed. Parking: There is parking in the plaza but I'm sure it gets busier during the day. Another place that we've been to before closed early on us and didn't let us know that in advance that they had a 30 minute last.. so we decided to check out another place in Koreatown, we found this one to be the latest one open! And when we called, they are actually keeping their doors open till 2 AM for customers!!! They said the best way to get a hold of them is to DM them on Instagram in case they are busy making orders They have a pretty good size parking lot they share with other small businesses, and there is some street parking, and a smart and final across the street worst case scenario if you can't find parking. We went right before they closed so there was not any issues finding parking in the parking lot. When you walk in, there's good lighting, and the menu items are easy to read! I like that they still have things on paper, I know people like to read things on their phones, but being on our phones all day, I don't mind the paper! There's a small area inside that you can sit at, and a long bench around the front door with some cute signage. You could take a picture at. We ordered one of the top 15 choices and we were able to ask for less ice without an additional charge and we were able to ask for less sweetening as well - Mulberry matcha milk tea - Strawberry matcha milk tea (they use some real strawberries) We added some conjac jelly and Boba! By the way, the conjac jelly doesn't have any calories, and it's quite popular! We also ordered the beef rice, Bulgogi, I don't think they have a full kitchen chef in the back but this was something we could order while we were here, enjoying our bubble tea! The staff was really nice and very patient in answering any questions and placing the order! We met somebody that was the owner towards the end, and he was really nice and was telling us about some of the items and he even asked us how we liked things and we gave our honest opinions! I got a hibiscus tea with konjac jelly and my bf got an oat milk mulberry matcha with boba. And we got a popcorn chicken to share. The hibiscus was really good but the konjac jelly was hard. And the mulberry matcha was super unique (similar to a blueberry matcha but the flavor is a little different). The popcorn chicken wasn't as crunchy as others I've had but it was okay for a late night snack. We got it with the Korean sauce and it was pretty good! Popcorn chicken is advertised on their postmates, etc but what you are actually getting is popcorn nuggets. Literally Tyson brand nuggets. The drink was extremely middle of the road despite paying more than am average boba, but looking at the add-ons and options it turned out they charged extra for "no ice" in the drink. While odd, most of my criticism comes from their "popcorn chicken". Costing ~$11, this chicken was the same exact flavor and texture as frozen dinosaur nuggets. Found this spot as it was open late. Upon arriving there was crowd so I imagined this place was popular. Turns out people were waiting for some time as there was only one person working! Overheard one customer complaining as he walked out that he waited close to an hour to finally get his order. That definitely turned potential customers away and back to their cars. Some 30 minutes later, two other employees finally arrived (don't know if they were late or whatnot considering place was closing in an hour or two). Apart from the initial staff shortage (with no explanation), the orders started arriving much quicker. They ran out of boba, so there was more of a wait for that them to make another batch. Ended up just substituting it with the konjac jelly, which I preferred. Unsure what it was at first and decided to make the substitution to avoid waiting any longer than I already have, but it's pretty much like crystal boba. Definitely try their Banana Milk. We both got drinks (matcha monkfruit and passion fruit hibiscus with boba) and I ordered some xiao long bao, which came out molten hot but deflated (all the soup leaked out). My matcha was good and monk fruit is slightly healthier than normal sugar, so that was a positive. If you check in on Yelp, there is a small discount. I told the person at the counter, and he confirmed it was powder, refusing to replace my drink but offering a discount on a new purchase instead. Why would I buy another drink? This is false advertising! Don't advertise it as 'real taro' when it's just POWDER! It was only after I took a picture of the drink next to the menu that a lady offered me a new drink.
