What a quaint boba spot that we came across on Yelp. The staff was awesome greeting us as we walked in and said to let them know if we had any questions (we went straight to the self order kiosk). The staff told us their favorite drinks when we asked since it was our 1st time here. We ordered one of their suggestions, the Breezy, and enjoyed it. They had store made yummy chocolate chip cookies nice and warm too. They're about $5 each, but oh so good! Quiet place to relax, hang out, or get some work done. And their restroom (unisex) is clean! Came to this place after seeing it on a YouTube video about the boba industry. After hearing the owner talk about wanting it to be more community-oriented than the average boba shop, and about the events hosted here, I decided to give it a try. When I came, it was completely empty, but then again, it was a Tuesday at 1 p.m., so probably bad timing on my part. I asked the barista how I could find upcoming events, and she told me that after COVID they host events every once in a while, and that I should email the owner for more information. I was a little disappointed, given that the place was advertised as community-oriented, especially since they have an indoor space where they could pin flyers. That being said, I'd still say this place is worth visiting. First off, the ambience is great, and I love the décor. If it's usually as quiet as it was in the morning or early afternoon, this would be a cool spot for remote work or studying. I would definitely come here for a first date. When it comes to drinks, I'd say they're decent, though I've only had one so far. I tried the espresso tonic and had low expectations, since I never expect great coffee from boba shops, but I was pleasantly surprised. The coffee itself was okay; nothing spectacular, but nothing offensive either, which works fine when mixed with tonic. I just wish I had been able to taste the longan they add to the drink. Overall, it wasn't bad. Next time, I'll have to try a boba tea to get a better sense of the drinks, but all in all, this seems like a great hangout/date spot that I'll try to make use of in the future. read more

It's a nice space -- warm, inviting and ideal for those wanting to get some work done outside of a home or office setting. They have several board games and couches set up in the front and back. The shaded patio area is great if you want to enjoy the weather outside and watch the world go by along Sunset Blvd. The staff were kind and helpful as well. Unfortunately, the product fell flat. I got two of the signature drinks, the Hey Hey and Chai Boy, both of which were bland and forgettable, with their number one drink Hey Hey actually being inferior. I would rate the drinks as average to slightly below average, which is surprising for LA. The floor should be higher given the central location. This was such a cute spot to grab boba, and I was especially excited to try it after seeing photos of the matcha drink with the cream perfectly wrapped around the cup. Unfortunately, it didn't come out anything like what I saw online, which was pretty disappointing. The matcha itself was just okay, and the boba wasn't as soft or chewy as I was hoping for. That said, the space is really nice,super spacious and a fun place to hang out with friends. They even have a section set up for games, which makes it feel more like a hangout spot than just a quick drink stop. I stopped by Hey Hey for a Mangry drink, which is a deviation from my go-tos... how can I resist mango? Hey Hey is a cute spot to study / hang out at, and they also have Wi-Fi. Parking might be a little hard, but there are spots along the street. The Mangry drink was made with some mango and puree, but overall was uneven. Some parts felt water, and others more sugary. Service was fairly quick, with our drinks being made within five minutes (one staff member at the time). Outside of drinks, they also have a cute wall to show where visitors have come from around the world. I'm so glad I found this boba spot maybe it wasn't by accident after all... it honestly felt like destiny! They have such an amazing variety of flavors. I ordered delivery for my office from here since they had a discount on Ubereats. Right away I should've been apprehensive, as there were no options to customize the drinks unlike other boba shops. You couldn't adjust the sweetness, which I'm not sure if it's because the blends are pre-made? I ordered the Mangry because it sounded like a chamango, and I also ordered the Breezy. I would pass on the Mangry; the seasoning reminds me of how a Chinese medicine shop smells, and it was not pleasant. This is a great place to do some work on your laptop! There are outlets and the drinks are really good, and they close a little later than the cafes in echo park. The space is comfy and spacious. When I need to get away from my office in chinatown, I come here for an afternoon break. I just will never understand people that work in the service industry yet dislike actually serving people. I worked in bars and restaurants for 10 years myself so I'm aware of what the job entails. Walked into this beautifully decorated establishment at 3:45p on a Saturday and there was someone at every table. If it wasn't so cold out I'm sure the outdoor patio would be full too. Service was fast, but this is on the high end of expensive bubble teas (8$). I can justify paying that price if it's worth it (I usually justify Hey Tea if anyone is familiar). Typically, bubble teas offer a spectrum of customizations including sugar and ice levels, none of which were available- other than milk choice which was between regular and oat. I then received my drink and was greatly disappointed. I got the Mamba which was Thai tea and ube (boba was an extra 50 cents). The drink had great colors, but after taking a sip, just tasted like milk and coffee. The ube was lined on the side of the cup so could hardly taste it. Overall, flavor was not unique or strong at all and was more like coffee than tea. The boba was not bad, but on the firm side. Ambience was good, could be a good study or deep work spot. read more

Creamy and refreshing without being way sweet like many can get. There's also a few things like sushi. It's about $5 for a premade roll. The Kizami Shiitake Onigiri is served cold, made with kelp and shiitake boiled in soy sauce. A few other things like pastries to choose from. There's the usual little cakes and sweets. Has a nice interior with comfortable chairs and couches. It's kind of a small place so it's not good for a group. There's a lot of milk options as well as sushi that is okay for vegans. read more

So happy they had Tea Eggs just like the ones I grew up on in Taiwanese 7-Eleven's. Nice, soaked in tea flavor, and it surprisingly came with 2 eggs despite eggs costing a trillion dollars in 2025. We ordered Hey Hey through Postmates. It's been on my list to try for a little bit. But I had to settle with a postmates order. The only downside is that on the postmates menu, you can't customize your drink too much. However, the drink was very good. The boba had a great chew and it wasn't too sweet. Good little social spot in echo park to meet up with friends. One of the only boba places these days where you can hang out and play board games... I feel like this disappeared after Covid?? I feel like they designed this space intentionally for people to gather and hang out. If you're lucky they have a great sitting area with leather love seat can coffee table that is out go to spot. The tea is good and intentionally crafted. I will say, the flavors are subtle. I got the zest mocha which was more a hint of orange and chocolate. I went here once during covid and it was super good. I was in the area again so I decided to revisit Hey Hey and didn't have the same experience. I had the oolong milk tea. When I first looked at it I thought, "this is a milk tea?" No, It was an oolong fresh tea with sweet cream foam. The taste of the tea was also very chocolate-y instead of a traditional tea flavor. It looked so bad I didnt even take a picture of it The service (5/11/24) was also unfriendly. Not very welcoming in my opinion. Her tone and demeanor just seemed like she was annoyed to be there. I asked her about black sugar boba (fyi they dont carry it anymore sadly) and she didnt know what I was talking about. This isnt the shop's fault but this place is inaccessible for the most part. I checked this place out with several friends. I had the Hey Hey (it was ok, not recommended) and the Onigiri. Parking is a bit difficult, try to park on Laveta Terrace and walk over. Extremely rude waitstaff. I gave this place 4 different visits. The waitstaff is extremely rude and condescending. Also very slow and inefficient. They ignored me three of the visits and when I was finally acknowledged they were very snobby and made me feel like I was bothering them by picking up my food. The flavors weren't very tasty either. The coffee boba was brewed way too strong. I have been to most boba shops in la and this is by far the worst service. There are three very mean girls who work here. Very rude tone and throw your drinks at you with zero care. I did a test I had my boyfriend go in one of the times and they acted fake nice and acknowledged him right away.
