I wanted to visit here before the year ended. On a sunny Monday, it was nice making a trip here via the Metro A Line. I ordered the iced sea salt organic iron goddess oolong milk tea ($6.45) with 25% sweetness. I noticed a 3% "operating fee" ($0.19) in the receipt emailed to me. However, it's not exactly clear why this add-on fee is charged. My drink had a very strong tea taste. The creamy milk and sea salt foam enhanced the tea for the better with a great blend of savory sweetness. While this drink tasted really good, I still like the luna matcha latte I tried during a prior visit more. I was surprised to find Ed from the Cartoon Network show "Ed, Edd n Eddy" on my drink! It makes me wonder how they prepare the foam art. To add on to my serendipity, the cafe even had an episode of Pokémon playing. This was really cool and made for a nice short time at the cafe. I have been coming here for a few years and I have always gotten delicious drinks. There are a few stations where you place your order. A lot of their drinks can be modified so if you want something to be less sweet or if you want more of something, you can designate there. At the end of the process, you enter you phone number in case they need to send you a text. There are ample seats inside so you can take a quick break. It is air-conditioned and not other sounds coming from a radio or TV. It's just the sounds of the people working. The customer service is focused on getting drinks out and correctly. They are friendly and they will answer any questions you have but for the most part, this is when you see staff- when you pick up your drinks. This is not good. Not creamy English and the tea is bitter. I ordered a house milk tea with oak milk. It's my usual pretty much anywhere I go. Either with Oak or Soy, but many places use cream instead. Don't drink anything else. I was passing by Chinatown, it's pretty much the only real milk tea place around. It's also not my 1st time here. It needs more oak milk to smoothing the tea. You can tell when the tea is not white enough. I usually don't get it from this area, mostly in the San Gabriel valley. There are only a couple of shops in Chinatown that sell boba and Bubble U is my favorite. Their drinks have a natural flavor with quality ingredients and they appropriately make sweetness adjustments without diluting the flavor of the beverage. However, I had a question as I can't have dairy and the pic of the product looked like it had cream topping. Even though the front/counter is server-less, I was able to quickly get the attention of the drink maker in the back to just confirm if I could have the drink without dairy. He was friendly and accommodating. I pretty much enjoyed the drink. The oolong had a robust flavor. The only thing I didn't like was the full ice in cup.
