I love Honey Hi. It always hits the spot and everything is always super fresh and gorgeous produce. Nourishing and gluten free friendly! The stark atmosphere and lack of bathroom is my only qualm. I know they're subject to their store front configuration but it just never feels like a cozy dining experience. Tables are close together so conversation privacy is also non existent. Nonetheless I return for the yummy food!
After the gym, we were driving around looking for some food we've gone to another place and it was closed so we kind of just stumbled upon this place. It's a tiny little hole in the wall. I ordered a miso chicken rice bowl and we have also gotten a breakfast sandwich. Food was pretty good. I don't think the prices were too crazy. The service was pretty OK. The cashier was really nice. There was a guy that was going around cleaning. He kind of seemed like he had a little bit of an attitude, but one of the perks of this place is that we happen to notice that the actress that played love in the Netflix show you was sitting across from us with her boyfriend very casually. It was pretty great.
Cute little breakfast spot that serves coffee and tea as well. Order at the counter and grab a seat. For a unique menu item, they have persimmon vinegar drink that is quite unique, with herbs like Tulsi in it. It is light and refreshing while slightly tart. I recommend it!
Honey I am home! ;D Let's begin this sweet review. Honey Hi is a local favorite spot due to its health-conscious gluten-free breakfast and brunch spot located on Sunset blvd in Los Angeles. They have compendious menu that customers will love. Interior is cute with minimalist appearance; it's spacious with indoor and outdoor seats. I have walked and drive past by this local spot for 9+ years but never got the chance until now (2026). Blimey! I had a hot drip coffee x avocado toast on sourdough. I'd say both were okay in taste. I wish I could say it's mind blowing but words would choke me. Anyways, staff were assiduous and professional. Prices were slightly over the market value. But that's just the economy. Atmosphere was relaxing. Plenty of street parking. Overall, we had a good dine-in experience. I recommend honey hi.
Super small, trendy breakfast spot in Echo Park! Had breakfast with my best friend and we both enjoyed it! It's walking distance from a lot of cool spots like the lake. We met up on a Friday morning right when they opened and had no trouble finding parking in the lot behind. You did have to pay but it was cheap by LA standards. Not very many people since we came around opening, very chill vibe. Friendly staff and lots of great menu items. There is no bathroom in the restaurant! Chairs are just stools so not the comfiest place to chill but we spent a while just chatting and eating. Prices are kinda up there for the portion but it's trendy healthy LA food, so it was expected. I ordered the miso bowl and it was yummy and refreshing! The way it was served did confuse me though just because there was a scoop of hot rice and cold chicken and the veggies had no dressing. Are you supposed to mix it all up like a salad even though the rice is hot or are you supposed to eat it like a rice bowl? Idk it was odd. It wasn't till I finished most of the rice that I just mixed the everything together and it was better, like a salad. The cold chicken and hot rice really just threw me. But the miso dressing was delicious nonetheless! 4/5 Overall, I enjoyed this place but probs wouldn't go out of my way to have it again. But I am glad I tried it and it did fulfill what I needed: a chill place to catch up with my friend and refreshing food.
Great local bistro with a focus on breakfast and lunch. I ordered the Community Bowl ($1 donated to the Greenline Housing Foundation) and featuring extremely fresh ingredients such as roasted fennel, marinated vegetables and forbidden black rice. Absolutely delicious! I also ordered the house herbal tea with honey ($1 extra), which was refreshing and soothing. Service was friendly. I was able to sit at the counter, which was a lot of fun. Casual ambiance, street parking.
Honey Hi is a vibe! I think I've been converted, it may be time to just call me a gluten free girlie. The food was delicious! Steph and I popped in on a Saturday afternoon and were shocked to be able to get a seat! We couldn't decide on breakfast or lunch, so we got a mix of things. The staff were all super helpful in cleaning tables, helping us decide what to order, and extra utensils when we needed to share. Will definitely be back! Loved the food and want to try the matcha when it's not out of stock, the veggie bowl, arugula salad and breakfast burrito!!
If I could eat this miso bowl every week I would. I love the miso marinated chicken, the colorful vegetables and how everything is proportioned so well. I always get a side of their hot sauce which is a must. Awesome place if you want to grab some lunch on the lighter side!

Honey hi had the prettiest food I've ever seen. Their bowls are so aesthetically pleasing. My friend ordered the community bowl, and she said that not only did it look great, but once she mixed it all up, there was a sauce on the bottom of the bowl that really brought the whole bowl together. She loved the flavor. She did say she wouldn't add the egg next time because it was $4.5 extra. I got the lambwich and it was really delicious as well. Very moist. It was a great flavor with the cheese. It was very juicy so it dripped a little bit, but I'm not mad at it! It was a great lunch! You order inside at the counter and then they bring your food to you. The person at the cashier was really kind, very personable. We sat outside because it was a nice day, they have plenty of tables that line the sidewalk. Parking can be a bit rough, but we both found street parking. They're a little pricier, but I think they are very mindful about sourcing their food, which is why it's a little on the expensive side for a lunch spot. Neither of us could justify the price of the smoothies, but they do look great!

I've been wanting to check out Honey Hi for a long time and finally got go twice recently. Their avocado toast is the second best I've had so far, anywhere. My favorite one has a little bit of salt and seasoning, the only thing that seemed to be missing from this otherwise decadent avocado toast. On my second visit I tried the Chicory Latte which was okay. I ordered and drank it for the health benefits. If you want the same benefits but like your beverages sweet, I suggest sweetening it to taste.
WORM larva in food....Identified as a carpet beetle larva usually found Im most infested carpets... Why was a carpet beetle inside of the food? I feel so grossed out and disgusted. I will never be coming back here ever again. I made myself vomit immediately to get the other half of worm out.
Stopped by Honey Hi with a friend and had a great lunch. Parking is street metered only, and we were lucky enough to find a spot right in front. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. You order at the counter, then they bring the food to your table. The pink lemonade was refreshing, and the miso bowl was delicious, the portion was just right, and the vegetables tasted incredibly fresh. A solid Echo Park spot that is a great place to sit and dine with friends. I'll definitely be back to! read more
I ate here while waiting for my haircut appt. To my surprise, the food was actually pretty good. Sausage patty actually had a good flavor. Staff and service were decent. Depending on the time you go, they might be busy, have a long line, and not have any tables to sit on. Metered street parking. Good luck -- may the odds be ever in your favor! This place is the perfect spot to go to when you're craving a delicious meal that's colorful and also feels good-for-you. That's exactly what I was craving when my friend was in town so I took her here. The food menu isn't massive, there aren't a ton of options but there's still a decent variety, especially since they serve breakfast all day which helps. They have lots of delicious-sounding smoothies and drinks too. I went with their miso bowl this time and my friend got the lamb sandwich. I loved my miso bowl, it comes with chicken, and it was just as beautiful and colorful as I remembered my last dish to be the last time I was here! And I loved the flavors. It completely hit the spot and perfectly filled me up. My friend seemed to enjoy her lamb sandwich too. Great spot! read more

i randomly discovered this spot when i was in the sunset area & it completely caught me by surprise. this place is so good! as i walked inside the cafe, i was immediately greeted by a lovely lady who showed me their menu & what they have to offer. i took a glance at their menu & i already knew i wanted to try the breakfast bowl! it has sweet potatoes, poached eggs, avocado, and bacon with farmers green which sounded absolutely delicious & fulfilling. once i placed my order & sat outside the wait for my food wasn't long at all. the breakfast bowl was a 10/10 & i most definitely recommend to try. read more
Honey Hi is pretty much what I think of when I think of a stereotypical LA cafe. Veggie forward, thoughtfully sourced ingredients, aesthetically cute, sensitive to dietary restrictions (the whole place is Gluten Free), a bit pricey, and a little crowded. That being said, I can't knock it. The food was good. I got the breakfast bowl. I'd say it's more of a loaded salad, rather than a bowl, but everything was super fresh and the flavors were tasty. Their chicory latte was also quite nice with just the right amount of sweetness and zero caffeine. It can get a little congested inside, but service is fast and friendly. A nice place to try when you want something healthy. read more

This place has a nice little vibe the customer service is outta this world 10/10 I had gotten the egg and toast breakfast with an herbal tea the eggs were scrambled and had borage flowers on it with chives that gave it a solid cucumber-like taste 9.7/10 the toast was a sourdough bread wich gave it a nice crunchy 8.8/10 the jam was pretty good aswell 8.6/10 I got the herbal tea which had honey and a nice calming taste 9.4/10 overall with all this combined i give it a solid 9.3/10 im definitely returning soon read more

I've watched Echo Park grow over the years, and while there's always something new popping up, I really enjoy places like Honey Hi. They're the heart of the neighborhood. Here's why it's special: * It's got parking lot right behind the restaurant (huge plus in LA). * Just a short walk from Echo Park Lake, Michael Jackson's Thriller House, and even Dodger Stadium -- where Ohtani is playing right now! * Their space feels calm, inviting, and personal, like your go-to comfort spot. What to order (you really can't go wrong, but here are a few standouts): * That Grain Bowl A hearty and vibrant mix of forbidden black rice, marinated kale, roasted summer squash, cucumber-daikon-tomato salad, pickled onion, nettle pesto, pepita sesame dukkah, and fresh herbs. Balanced, flavorful, and filling without weighing you down. * Miso Bowl Za'atar rice, purple cabbage slaw, marinated vegetables, miso dressing, and lots of herbs. First time here .... was greeted by a friendly staff ... very cozy place... like the vibe... and good smoothie. Staff were nice and welcoming... attentive ... quick service. They need a little bigger place to accomodate everyone who wants to have a good healthy breakfast. Will definitely comeback and try their other food... read more
I came here with some friends for a late lunch around 2pm on a Wednesday afternoon. There are a few small tables inside and outside. I had the breakfast bowl, which had sweet potato hash, a poached egg, mashed avocado, and bacon served on top of a salad. It was better than I could have anticipated. All the components were delicious and went really well together. Really cute spot, and I believe everything on the menu is gluten-free. A very stereotypical "LA" spot, but very good nonetheless. read more

I've been wanting to go here for ages, and it was a great place for a healthy(ish) brunch. Their breakfast bowl is the perfect combination of sweet, salty, and tangy, and the lattes were good as well. Not sure if I'd go out of my way but it's a great option if you're in Silverlake. read more
Yummy! A healthy go to breakfast spot for me, I usually order the breakfast bowl which comes with sweet potato hash, a poached farm egg, avocado, bacon, and greens. I will say it is on the pricey side ($19) but it is a light and healthy breakfast option that is also very tasty. I also like their smoothies, I've tried several including the No Fomo, Pink Drink, and the Merman (my favorite). read more

What a cute establishment! You walk directly to the counter and get a number when dining in or taking it to go. There's fresh fruit available for sale along with cute probiotic drinks. All staff members were very kind and accommodating. We didn't have to wait long for our food to be done. The lambwich was out of this world! So juicy, tangy from the preserved lemon and spiced to perfection. I also really enjoyed the breakfast bowl which is more like a breakfast salad- still divine! The chocolate chip cookie definitely tasted healthy and fell apart but was still okay. Could've used more chocolate chips in my humble opinion. I really appreciate that they source quality ingredients and are aware of seed oils. I will absolutely be coming back here the next time in LA. read more
This place is so impressive. I love that they have the usual offerings for brunch but all their food is very high quality, locally sourced, and way healthier than your average brunch place! I got the breakfast sandwich with bacon. The sandwich comes on a buckwheat sourdough so I immediately appreciated that they serve their sandwiches on bread with more whole grains and fiber (and flavor! In my opinion). The sunny side up egg was cooked to perfection. It also came with a house made hot sauce which was amazing. I also tried their dragon fruit lemonade which I highly recommend, it tastes like the healthier version of "purple drink" (purple crush soda) Last thing I really appreciated about this place was that they sell many of their home made items like the hot sauce and their pickles. Might come back to pick up some of that amazing homemade chipotle hot sauce. Will be back soon for more. read more

Stopped by Honey Hi to pick up a DoorDash delivery and ended up finding one of the most beautiful, welcoming cafés in Echo Park. The team was super polite and had the order packed and ready right on time. The space itself is bright, peaceful, and gives off a clean, wellness-forward vibe without feeling too "healthy." You can tell they care about the ingredients -- everything I saw looked fresh, colorful, and made with care. Their miso bowl and lambwich are now on my personal must-try list. Definitely coming back soon -- not just for work this time! read more
