Veggie Avocado Bacon Croissant Sandwich with Tomato Jam

Located near 7th and metro station is downtown La. Great place for brunch or lunch. Really good omelette and coffee. Service was fast, order at counter and they bring it to you.

I had to run downtown for an appointment and walked past this place so truly a stumbled upon experience and so happy I did! The inside is cute and inviting with lots of small tables to work from and a few outside benches. The staff was friendly and my order came out quickly. I got a cold brew with almond milk which was average, but the star was an espresso hazelnut bread. So delicious and great soft texture. I would definitely come back!

I paid $9 extra for steak in my burrito, just for the meat to be ALL fat. un-enjoyable.

nine dollars extra for "steak" ALL FAT SMH. I ordered this breakfast burrito to go, if you're going to charge extra for something make sure it's at least of quality.

What an absolutely amazing place to stumble upon! I've been three times in the past two days. So why four stars and not five? Yikes, when you add milk to the tea, it becomes an $8.15 tea. That's... a bit much. I'll pay for quality loose leaf, but.. almost a tenner? Have also come for lunch; hubby had one of the avocado breakfast burritos and devoured it so quickly. I opted for the Club wrap - the bacon had an amazing flavor to it, which really made the wrap pop (a little bit of spice). The decor is super cute and the overall restaurant is very clean. High marks for that. Don't come if you're on a budget, but if you're OK with splurging a bit, I highly recommend! 2026: 16/100

Great cafe centrally located in DTLA. The hot latte and breakfast croissant were really good. Perfect place to work and unwind! They had a lot of great food menu items to choose from. Service was good, no complaints there.

I have ordered dine in, to go, and delivery. Food is always delicious, prepared and packaged great. My favorite thing on the menu is the avocado bacon croissant sandwich. Make sure to order it with a side of chipotle aioli sooooo good! Parking sucks but you'll find street parking and parking garage across the street if you are dining in.

Order online, picked up on time earlier than the promised time. Always busy place and great food and service .

I was looking for a place to have lunch in DTLA and came across Sandcouch Cafe. First impression was there were lots of people dining here and almost every table was taken and a bit loud too. I walked to the counter to place my order with the friendly lady at the order counter. I ordered a blueberry matcha and a prosciutto with arugula and fig jam. I looked around to see where I could grab a seat but only found a seat at the counter bar area. I went to sit down and shortly after my matcha was ready. Their menu said they buy their matcha from Japan so you know you are getting quality matcha. It was delicious. About 7 minutes later my sandwich was ready and a nice gentleman brought it to me. I was pleasantly surprised after my first bite. The bread tasted like it was made in house and super soft and fresh. All of the indents paired really well together and tasted so good. The fig jam gave the sandwich a little sweetness but not overly sweet. I will definitely come back and try other items from their menu when I'm in the area.

Ambiance: it's a spacious and trendy cafe place, high ceilings and comfortable seats, good place for quick bites Service: the cashier was nice and efficient, but either their manager or owner seems rude, when I found rotten leaves in their food and brought to his attention as a courtesy after I'm done eating and about to leave, he kept denying and saying it's not rotten, well you can't wake a person who is pretending to be asleep, overall it would have been a four star place, but one star off for ingredients not fresh, and another star off for the unprofessional attitude Food: plenty choices for breakfast and lunch, also there's pasty and coffee menu Grilled Pastrami Sandwich on Sourdough - ** Black Navel Pastrami, Swiss Cheese, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Sourdough, side of arugula salad, the pastrami meat was tasty although a bit salty, the lettuce was't fresh, so disappointing, obviously rotten from photos Price: moderate portions and slightly overpriced for the food quality, although it's understandable for downtown location

Breakfast burrito was delicious. Homey latte was good, if you're not a fan of too sweet, ask for less sweetener.

Decided to give this cafe a visit after walking past it multiple times. Decided to order their machaca breakfast burrito and it was so freakin good. Lots of meat, melted cheese, and crispy tator tots inside. Comes with a side of delicious salsa. Service was excellent and loved the decor and vibe inside the restaurant. Pro tip: Sit by the window if you love to people watch. Will definitely come back!

Cute, bright, and airy cafe serving breakfast and lunch. The bacon breakfast burrito was tasty. Cashier was friendly. She told me a few things people liked such as mortadella sandwich & other items. Great addition to Downtown; if you come on a Saturday, make sure to go stop by the mini South Park farmers market down the street. The only thing I can think of is the seating could be more comfortable, like maybe add cushions? I like the music playing in the background which wasn't too loud.

Sandcouch is a cute little cafe in downtown L.A. The space is bright and inviting with plenty of places to sit and enjoy your order: Their breakfast items were delightful, so much so that I ordered food there two days in a row when staying in the area. They have a full coffee bar, and fresh baked goods available as well. Definitely worth a visit!

This is more upscale, almost fine dining Filipino food. Something I have never experienced before. We were very intrigued and were excited to try the food. If you're looking for a carinderia or turo-turo taste, this ain't it so don't come expecting that. Menu is not extensive, which is what we like. I have a hard time at Cheesecake Factory and that just stresses me out. I feel like their food menu is compact, thoughtfully created, and appealing. We had a very difficult time not ordering the entire menu. So we ended up eating almost half of it. Drinks menu was also very innovative and the drinks were STRONG. I also appreciate that they have non-alcoholic versions of some of their drinks. I wasn't indulging that day so Hubby and I were able to sample one of each type. Calamansi Mojito ($20) for him and Ube Horchata ($14) for me. As for what we ate: Manila Mais ($18) - 2.5/5 stars - It was, okay. Filipino-ized version of Mexican elote, corn-ribs style. Though it had Filipino elements like the bagoong butter, it didn't really taste like anything different. And to be honest, the bagoong butter didn't bring anything to the table the way it was presented to the side of the corn. It was too hard and just sat on the elote as you ate it. Kare Kare Tamales ($26) - 5/5 stars - UH-AMAZING!!! I could have eaten two, regular-sized tamales versions of this as an entree instead of two smaller appetizer size. The braised oxtail inside the tamales was soft and tender but the peanut butter veloute was *chef's kiss*. You definitely tasted kare kare but in an innovative way. I just wish they had some steamed rice or bread so I could soak up the sauce. I almost cried when they took the plate away because I didn't want to waste the sauce! Bicol Express Mezzelune ($38) - 4/5 stars - I was eyeing this originally but opted not to until the chef came out and talked us into it. And I'm so glad he did! This was delicious! Ironically enough, I just cooked traditional Bicol Express the week before and this definitely hit those notes without being a carbon copy of it. Again, where was the rice?! Only thing I can dock is that I felt like the pasta was a tad too thick and was chewy to my taste. Otherwise, I would definitely order this again. Was the sleeper hit of the dinner. Crab Fat Fried Rice ($38) - 5/5 stars - Crab? Crab fat? In rice?? Of course, sign me up! So delicious and a very generous portion. I wanted to hoard it to myself but I guess I had to share with Hubby. Would order this again. Ribeye Salpicao ($96) - 3/5 stars - Not my favorite of the bunch and this surprised me because I love rib eye. It came out medium instead of the medium rare we ordered and the taste was just not to my preference. It's possible that it was just overshadowed by the other excellent dishes we had. Likely will not order again though the portion was generous. Two minor things I wish they had but not enough to dock stars: Rice and spoons. Come on, now! This is a Filipino place! These two are musts? How else could I mop up all the delicious sauces they put on the food?! Service was impeccable! From front of the house host, bartender, and the chefs, the experience was very welcoming and polished. We sat at the bar and was able to chat with the chefs when they came to introduce themselves to us and they were the nicest people. You felt like you came to a friend's house and not an impersonal stranger's. Will definitely be back to try the other half of the menu we missed and we'll be bringing friends!

The food was amazing, but the atmosphere was what really made the night special. And Chris, who took care of us, exceeded our expectations with his wonderful service. At first, I was a little worried that the portions might be too small, but we ended up leaving with our bellies full and very happy! We had such a great time and will definitely be coming back. Next time, I'd love to bring my parents and share this experience with them. Highly recommend!

It's conveniently located to the LA Convention Center, Crytpo.com arena, and LA Live which makes it a must visit before or after an event! I am obsessed with their happy hour, which offers healthy items at discounted prices with generous portions! I have been here so many times throughout the years but most recently found myself here during a busy World Cup match! Regardless, the service and quality of food was not sacrificed! I was greeted as soon as I got there and the bartenders were overwhelmed but still friendly and helpful. I was so tempted to get a margarita, since theirs are amazing, but decided to keep it dry and just get their vegan nachos. I was able to score a table outside on their lovely patio, which felt secluded enough from the main street. My food was brought out quicker than I thought and I was delighted, as I was famished! The vegan nachos here are fantastic and the happy price is only $10, which is a steal for what you get! They are costed in the most magical concoction of a bean puree, cashew cheese sauce, and guacamole which all have the most creamy, luscious and savory flavors. It's so hearty and well seasoned and not only filling, but you feel great after. Parking is pretty easy, as there are usually ample meters available nearby. I cannot wait to return again soon the next time I'm in Downtown LA! I am hoping to try more of their vegan options and next time I will for sure get a drink to go along with their delicious food!

I ordered the Espresso Martini, and it tasted pretty watered down and lacked the bold coffee flavor I was hoping for. On the bright side, the food was definitely the highlight. The mussels were flavorful, the calamari was crispy and cooked well, and the fries were delicious. Those dishes really saved the experience . Overall, I'd come back for the food, but I'd probably steer clear from cocktails and order a real drink. Every dish felt thoughtfully prepared, with authentic flavors and quality ingredients that stood out from the first bite to the last. The ambiance was welcoming and the art was tasteful. What truly elevated the experience was the service. The staff were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making us feel genuinely welcomed throughout the meal. They were quick to offer recommendations and ensured everything was perfect without being intrusive. We ordered the tostaditas de atún agua chile negro, beet salad, carne asada taco and Al pastor taco and watched the World Cup game. Distrito Catorce combines exceptional food, a great atmosphere, and top-notch service. It's the kind of place that leaves you planning your next visit before you've even finished your meal. Definitely plan on coming back to watch more World Cup games.

To be honest, I was already biased because his Smorgasburg pop-ups were consistently good. But Distrito Catorce is different , it's like art. My favorite dish was the tacos de papa with salsa macha. The crunch of the potato taco riding into the salsa macha and crema felt like home, but with some extra pop. His salsa game is on point. The scallion salsa on the ribeye taco was also gas. Lastly, I really dug the tostadita de atún. It hit perfectly on these hot summer days. Low-key, I still want to try the El Rey de Noche. Tacos de beef trompo are starting to hit LA, and dude was ahead of the curve making picanha-brisket tacos de trompo. Service is smooth too. The servers are helpful, and solid at the bar. Overall, it's a cool spot with a menu that feels unique to LA.

Parking: there's valet and several of lots but watch out for the $5 small print. I went 2 blocks up by the residential area and was able to find parking on a Saturday around 12pm. For drinks, i had a classic Aperol Spritz, which was very nice and refreshing. But I had to try Florida Man because of these ingredients (blueberry rested Ilegal mezcal, Lo-Fi vermouth, lemon, African basil). They have a really good beverage program, and I would like to come back more for drinks and try the Bro over Tomatoes. For food, I got the pop over benedict, honestly, I didn't know what I was expecting because I was assuming a regular benedict, but it was the most beautiful presention and delicious hollandaise sauce i've ever had in my life! The hollandaise has a little spice to it that blended well with the creaminess. I also had that barbecue oysters, which is basically oyster rockefeller. I really how they have fun names of their drinks as well as their food. The service were absolutely delightful. My server made me laugh. When I asked him, what should I get between one or the other drink, and he suggested, why not get one after the other which made me chuckle. A definitely a great sales person.

The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and I really loved the overall feel of the restaurant. The food was delicious, with a few hits and misses for my personal taste. The honey butter cornbread was absolutely delicious, and the quinoa with snap peas was another favorite--so fresh and flavorful! The baguette for the barbacoa sandwich was a little too hard for my liking, and the chicken was slightly dry for my taste, but the flavors were still really good overall. Definitely a great place to experience if you're in the Arts District and looking for something a little more elevated with that rustic, farm-to-table feel. I'd come back to try some of the other dishes!. Service was good as the food came out pretty quick.

I could eat the Japanese breakfast everyday... it was so light but packed with flavor and had so many different items on the plate that made the entire experience really fun to eat. The hojicha tea was so soothing and a perfect accompaniment to the meal. The shokupan was perfect and not too sweet. It was perfect to share between the three of us!
