Writing a review because I hate when amazing places close due to lack of business and people not knowing how great they are (although with their level of customers, I don't see that happening!). Stopped by here on my way out of my hotel. Wish I stopped by on my first night, so I could've had it every day! Their cafe is busy, but their service is quick! Their cafe's ambiance is amazing and well decorated. They're very sweet, happy, and kind. Very patient, attentive, and helpful with each and every one of their customers. Love their caring personalities. You can just tell, they're passionate and love what they're doing, and the employees seem well taken care of and like they genuinely like their jobs. Not sure if the cashier this afternoon was the owner, but if he wasn't, he definitely deserves to be managing because he's the best and knows the menu and customers well, and doesn't miss a beat with helping everyone quickly (including the other employees) but without rushing anyone, can multitask so efficiently and effortlessly, and appears calm, warm, and cheerful in the face of a crowd. I ordered their white chocolate mocha (hot), a turkey pesto panini (he recommended), a slice of lemon cake, a nut brownie, and a bottle of coke (he even offered a cup of ice for my coke, which was sweet!). I'm not big on coffee and typically hate the taste (usually get my caffeine from soda lol), but I decided to take a chance because I have a long drive ahead of me today. Their white chocolate mocha tastes good and is strong, without that harsh bitter flavor. The lemon cake slice is indescribably delicious. Honestly has to be the best I've ever had. And I've had a lot of lemon cakes (my fav). The middle layer is so creamy and the best level of sweet; not that overpowering tried-too-hard too sweet, ya know? The lemon flavor is on point and tastes fresh and real. The cake layers are soft, moist, and so well executed. I went to school for baking and pastries for a while and did competitive cake baking / decorating, so I know how hard it is to perfect each layer, and they did it so well. I hope they never change a thing about it. I was iffy because it's not something I'd typically order but... The panini? Oh. My. It's so dang perfect. My first thought, how does it taste THIS fresh and delicious. You can taste each individual flavor, and it's all paired so perfectly. Once it was ready, he offered me sides of things like pepperoncinis (which I took just in case), but after taking a bite, you just don't mess with perfection. They know what they're doing. I'll be back every time, on my next trips to this area soon. I grew up here, and in total, have lived around LA for over 20 years. The combination of food taste / quality, ambiance, and employee's customer service at this cafe are a rare LA find. They truly deserve their high level of business. And for those here for the courthouse, it's only a 4 minute walk. read more

What a waste of money. I thought all egg salad sandwiches tasted like eggs. This Egg Salad Sandwich is horrible. I actually took the Egg Salad off the bread and tossed it in the trash. I tried to add a Scoop of Tuna / Wasabi Tuna. That did not work because of the bread. The regular scoop of tuna is bland, no onions, no mayonnaise, no celery, just nothing but tuna. The Macaroni Salad is not good either, but it tastes better than everything else I received. I decided to throw that Egg Salad Sandwich in the trash. In the end, I decided to throw it all away. I usually give the food I don't like to my coworker, but I knew he wouldn't eat any of it. Sometimes you just have to trust the one and two-star reviews. I definitely won't order from here again. Cute little cantina style brunch spot. Service was friendly and quick. Food was really good. We had the Asian salad and a pesto panini, both were delicious. Plastic cutlery and the dark interior (French cafe style seating with dark walls) are a minus. Brighter walls would fit the light brunch style menu better. I'll be back. read more

Hanging out for a couple days in downtown LA for jury. Luckily lunch breaks are 1 1/2 hours, giving us time to leisurely enjoy our lunch. Turning to the Yelp app for options nearby, I found this small cafe walking distance from the court house. Easy and convenient to allow me to dine in. Sandwiches, salads, smoothies, etc.. the menu was more extensive than I expected. I was leaning towards a hot sandwich, but since I was planning to save half for later, cold was the way to go this time. My turkey avocado on sourdough was quite tasty and nice size portion. It is only a sandwich, any sides need to be purchased separately. They were kind enough to serve 1/2 my sandwich as dine in, and wrapped the other half to go. I also tried the Green Diet smoothie. This was thinner with a more watery taste than I expected, but overall not bad. I am usually a fan of any green smoothie with kale or spinach, peanut butter and banana. Definitely a great spot only 5 min walk from the courthouse. read more

Cozy cozy cozy spot right in the heart of DTLA near the Civic Center Metro stop. Easy access to pick up a sammich. Great selection of choices and love how many different ways you can get a sandwich. This review is only for the morning service. I work in the building where they are located. I love coming here to get my fresh juice and toasted jalapeño cheese bagel with cream cheese. The owner is super friendly & by now he knows our order. The place is old nostalgia but clean & cozy. I've never had an issue & in the morning (anytime before 9 am) is not that busy. As far as prices, this place is a heck of a lot cheaper than heading to Grand Central Market. A juice there cost 12 bucks for 16 oz @ Cherry Pick Cafe is $8.50. The bagel I order is a little less than $5. I've seen the lunch menu, the prices are OK & less than if you went anywhere else but I've never ordered lunch from then. My go to lunch spot when I am working! The owner Amir is amazing and so sweet. The food here is always so fresh and the quality never changes. I ordered pickup and thankfully I got parking right in front for a quick grab. It is difficult to park in this area though. I have been eating here for over 10 years... way back when I worked at American Apparel and we would make big orders to be delivered at lunch. My favorites here are the egg salad and tuna salad. Everything they serve here is delicious and gigantic, from the salads to the pastries. You always get a friendly greeting with amazing service. This small cafe also has a few tables and chairs inside if you decide to dine in. There is also a few parking lots near by and some metered parking if you are lucky. Came to this cute little cafe on a whim with my bestie. The owner and the workers are so sweet and work very hard to bring everyone's orders on time/keep the place clean. I ordered a BLT with a peach picks smoothie and she ordered a greek Cobb sandwich with a tropical heaven smoothie. 10/10 did not disappoint. You can tell by the taste how fresh the ingredients were. I noticed the breakfast menu on my last lunch visit so I decided to try it one morning. I was amazed. My go to selection of most breakfast places is a vege omelet with bacon so I ordered it.
