I have not been so excited to talk about a restaurant in a long time until I stumbled upon this gem a couple weeks ago. I was in the diamond district with my mom and we were parking to go to LA Cafe but ended up here and boy were we glad. We ordered and spent a little time in the area and then came back. The service was excellent. The guy helping us was so friendly and efficient. We each had a chicken burrito and shared a lentil soup. We drove to the US Bank tower area to eat there. We were not expecting much and when we bit into the burrito we looked at each other immediately so happy. It had been a super long day and a long drive for me all the way from San Diego and that burrito made it all worth it. It was paired with a delicious sauce. I loved that it wasn't spicy. The flavors were so perfect no spice needed. My mom however did want it spicy and to her surprise they'd included Tapatio sauces. She was still very impressed with the sauce. It also came with fries. Perfection. I didn't get to try the lentils because I was so full but my mom said they were delicious and blew her away. The tzatziki beef wrap looked pressed in the photos, but in reality it was just a simple lavash wrap, nothing particularly special or memorable. The burger was decent, but for the price, I was expecting something a bit more substantial. Service was fast, and they offer a nice variety of cold drinks. This little hidden gem had quite the rave reviews so my coworker and I decided to order in for lunch. I highly recommend ordering ahead and picking up or having your order delivered. The location is in the heart of the jewelry district in DTLA and parking is a nightmare! I ordered the Tzatziki Chicken Wrap which came with fries. The flavor profile was not as salty as I thought it'd be, it was great if you're opting for a healthier lunch. The fries were perfectly seasoned and I ate every bit of both and left no crumbs. My girlfriend ordered the Patty Melt which she inhaled! She said it was exactly what she needed. I've passed this restaurant quite a few times and never thought it would be this good! This is a little hidden in plain sight gem, but they've got good food and pleasant staff and luckily they made it all the way through the pandemic and are still standing. Very limited seating, but if you work or live close, it's worth an order-ahead and pick it up. For a small joint they really have a nice selection of quality options to order from to satisfy most cravings or picky palates. This is a quick and nice breakfast spot. It's more of a order to go kinda restaurant with just 2 tables outside if you wanted to sit and eat. This place wasn't busy, but I notice there were alot of orders to go as we waited for our food. Friendly staff too. I ordered the quesidilla breakfast wrap. It consists of avocado, cage free eggs, cheese, bacon, potatoes, tomatoes. We also ordered the burrito breakfast. The burrito were stuffed with hot, fresh amazing ingredients from the onion, peppers, tomatoes and potatoes as well. We also had the patty melt and tzaktini steak wrap. I didn't try the patty melt but my friend said it was slightly cold and Angus meat was too cook. The tzaktini wrap was in a tortilla, grilled and tasted awesome. Found this place just by walking down a bustling street in Los Angeles. Nestled next to jewelry shops and parking lots, you blink an eye, you may miss this spot. The ingredients were fresh and our Arizona Ice Teas complimented a warm sunny day in L.A. What what's so great about this spot was that you literally stop to get some food and go. If a food truck was ever in a building, this is the kind of place that reminded me of that. No doors ro open to go inside, just walk up to entrance of building and order. Well, it might've been nice, if I was actually served what is on the menu. The House Burger says it comes with fresh ground beef, white cheddar, brown-butter béarnaise, etc. The fries were great, the bun was nice. But what came was a basic burger setup, with American cheese and thousand Island. I sent it back. The cashier kept swinging his head around to look at the menu board, as if he'd never read it. He just kept telling me that's what they normally serve. Ok fine, but that's not what's on the menu! "Can you make me what's on the menu?", I asked. He went back, asked the cook, then said yes. What I got again had a slice of white cheese (I doubt it was cheddar), yet still slathered in standard thousand Island. There were other "nicer" items on the menu -- lamb burger, party melt, etc -- that I might have ordered, and gladly paid more, if I knew this was a "regular" burger. You've got good food. Was in the Jewelry District in Downtown Los Angeles and my friend came across this wonderful Los Angeles gem of an eaterie. I tried the tuna melt , Caesar salad, and House Lentil soup..My friend had Avacado Egg toast, and a chicken Pesto Panini for lunch..The server was very nice and brought us our food fast and was a pleasant person to speak too and had great suggestions on the menu. The Tuna Melt was so juicy and tasty on the best-tasting bread. Best damn tuna sandwich in Los Angeles ..Large salad with all the fixings I like on a salad seemed so fresh like they had a garden there in the restaurant great presentation and I was so surprised first that htey had Lentil soup and it tasted so good. A great, cute little cafe that's somewhat new in the jewelry district. The interior is aesthetically pleasing, menu tasty and prices decent, so my coworker and I were pretty excited to try this place out! Our first mistake was not ordering ahead. We have a strict, one hour break which we have to adhere to and it took 22 mins to get our to-go order (we timed it). There was one cashier just bombarded with in house and phone orders, and two other chefs in the small (yet clean!) kitchen. Salt n peppa is small, there are no tables inside, but a few outside. Be prepared If you don't come alone! I got the avocado egg toast and a green salad which were fine. I honestly could have made them myself piling the avocado and egg on a toast and threw some greens together. Decently priced, I would go back if its convenient and empty, but since it's out of the way, it's hard to say. I'd recommend it only if you have the time! read more

I eat here at least one a week and if you're in the jewelry district looking for a fast and tasty lunch, you can't do much better than this. They have everything from burgers and fries to unique Mediterranean inspired sandwiches and plates. The menu was designed with something for everyone. Service is fast and friendly, the restaurant is clean, food presentation is better than necessary, and the prices are a good value considering the quality of the food. So I use to come.here when it was hill top cafe, however this cafe is just as good. We had the chicken which was very juicy and the lamb (a little more cooked than I usually like) the lamb was however so tasty it was fine. The person at the counter was very friendly and happy to accommodate any changes like more salad than rice etc. Watching the chicken being cooked on the grill was the closer for us as the flavours and freshness was abundantly clear. So I eat here a lot, as you can tell from the pictures! I eat here almost everyday! Breakfast= my favorite, daily I get boiled eggs with bacon or veggies... Another one of my favorites is the avocado egg toast. And when I feel like going all out... the best breakfast burrito I've had!! I have eaten at this place so many times they say fast food it's like a high class fast food it's so awesome the atmosphere is really super cool everything I've ever eaten here is fantastic. this place is definitely one of LA's finest eateries the house burger, the Limburger, some of the best burgers in California. The grilled chicken club all gosh I love it that Taziki steak wrap. it doesn't get better than this. This is a landmark place in Los Angeles, and the best eateries, and I couldn't recommend it to too many people, you better eat here before too many people find out and there's not enough seating room.. they even have great selections for vegetarians like soup, salads, galore, hummus, I think they even have a hummus, chicken wrap I don't like hummus, but my wife didn't said that this hummus is excellent. The salads are excellent. Wow this is great dining at its finest. If I could give it 18 stars I would this place is super I'll be eating here for years to come like I do now get the grilled chicken breast Panini. My girlfriend and I caught Salt N' Peppa during a late lunch hour where it wasn't crowded, and the staff were accommodating and quick with their delivery. Star. Star 2: How were the portions relative to the cost? $10.00 got me a standard sandwiched size Patty Melt, and my girlfriend got a $9.00 chicken wrap. The chicken wrap had much better value given it's size, but both were fine in terms of price and portion. Star. Stars 3 and 4: How was the food? So at the end of the day neither of these dishes blew me away. The patty melt was pretty ordinary with a standard burger patty, cheese, and onions in between two pieces of bread, and the chicken wrap, while it had all the necessary ingredients, just didn't wow us. Single Star. Star 5: Would you eat here every day if you could? Salt N' Peppa is worth a visit, but it wouldn't be on my list of top lunch spots in DTLA. No Star. read more

Very disappointed in the service I received today!!! I have eaten here several times and the food is usually cooked very well but this is unacceptable. I order a turkey burger and onions rings combo. My onions rings were over cooked. I called and complain and they offer to replace them. My new order of onions rings were delivered and they were over cooked and BURNT again!!
