I highly recommend coming here. It was my first time trying this place. I came right when they opened. The guy welcomed me when he saw me. He was still setting up, but told me to let him know when I was ready. I ordered just a regular hamburger, cause that's how I try new (to me) burger places. They are located at the old Broken Mouth location of DTLA right off, I believe, 8th street. Anyway, the burger was awesome! Everything about it was good! The bun was good. The ingredients are good. The seasoning was good. The texture and flavors or the meat was perfect! Everything came together so well, it made the burger one of the best of SoCal! This is a must try place! Give it a try, you won't regret it!
Located in Downtown LA on a corner is this very small but very awesome burger joint. Man, between this place and Amboy, the residents and workers of DTLA are spoiled for choice when looking for a top notch burger. I am sure that parking can be difficult here many times during the day and weekend, but I found a metered spot right across the street, so it was my lucky day. They have a happy hour special where you get a single patty cheeseburger, fries, and a drink for under $10. You can add to them, so we each added a patty and bacon. We skipped the pickles and District Sauce, which is just their version of the standard Los Angeles thousand island-type sauce that is on In-and-Out and every other burger in town. I always get this on the side, as I prefer ketchup, and was glad I did because I really didn't like their sauce when I tried it with a french fry. The burger itself - which is indicated as halal in case you are interested, is amazing. The meat is such high quality. I was in love from the first bite. For what looks like a dive inside with just like four small tables, seems to be one of Los Angeles' top burger joints. I've wanted to try this for ever and kept putting it off because of my fear of finding parking. Now I'm sorry I didn't go a couple years ago, as parking was easy enough on a weekday lunch time, and I missed out on a good couple of years of delicious burgers. Don't hesitate at all. Just go and try one of their excellent burgers now!
Burger District in the Fashion District LA is a hidden gem for anyone who loves a truly fresh burger. Everything here is made to order from the juicy beef patty to the perfectly toasted bun. You can taste the quality in every bite, especially the patty, which is rich, flavorful, and cooked just right. The only downside? It's a bit messy to eat. But honestly, that's part of the charm when a burger is this good.Burger District is absolutely worth it.

They've been my favorite burger in LA since 2021 and finally got a pic. You can create any burger you want but the menu items like the spicy Cali and the threeefle are my personal go to's and I won't deviate. Everything is good, but it's all about the burgers. The patties, the toppings, and the bun mesh well together each bite and I don't feel like crap after smashing. I'm in here monthly. Judge me then try it for yourself. Don't walk by this spot and not stop in! The turkey burger is a sleeper and they can substitute it on any of the menu items with ZERO drop off.
Very good burger; I would order again, but I have had better. I ordered the Spicy Cali, which wasn't very spicy. DoorDash had a promo for Classic Small Fries: buy one, get one free. The fries were also good, nice, crispy, and lightly salted.
Went here today for lunch! Never disappoints! I had the single with bacon and jalapeño spread added...FIRE!!
I ordered delivery on this one. I really wanted a burger, but not the after burger feeling. So, I went with a turkey burger with mushrooms and avocado and a small fries which was on sale, 2 for 1, lucky day. I can't speak on the service and ambience since I had it delivered, but the food was so good! The fries were the best I have ever tasted. I actually ate both orders in one sitting. I think it's the oil they use for sure. The turkey burger was perfectly seasoned, not dry at all, and with the added mushrooms and avocado, the burger just fell into perfection. I would drive her to order food. It satisfied my burger craving without the heaviness I usually feel with beef. The next day, I was still full until 2:30pm (ate around 2pm the previous day). It really satisfied my appetite in the best way!
I've heard great things about this burger and since I was in the area, I decided to pickup some burgers for my son and I. Parking was easy since there were several available meters. The restaurant is located on the corner of Santee/9th st in downtown. The ambiance is pretty cool with great art and color. The cashier was extremely patient and helped me decide on what to order. I ordered the District Burger combo. The burger is exactly what I expected. The crunchy bits on the ends and juicy patty. It's a smash burger but, still meaty if it makes sense! I had zero complaints. The burger was perfectly layered with lettuce, tomatoes and pickles. The fries reminded me of McDonald's fries which is a great thing! I highly recommend grabbing a bite to eat here if you're in the mood for a fire burger.
So, let me mention the not so great-Located in a more quiet corner of Downtown LA, with limited street parking and no restrooms. But aside from that a legit- burger spot. I order a turkey burger combo- sort of turned my turkey burger into something more. I added truffle mushrooms/ Candi carmelized onions, egg sunny side up, mustard. My mom ordered a turkey burger with truffle mushrooms. I will definitely be back!! It was so delicious!
This place is super tiny. Only like two tables inside and a couple outside. I got the surf and turf burger with onion rings. Nothing to write home about. Burger was pretty bland. They did put a nice amount of shrimp on the burger. The onion rings tasted ok. I only ate half and made myself finish the burger. Customer service was ok at best. I asked for one of the tables outside to be cleaned and it didn't happen. The location is it's a bustling area on santee/9th street, so you'll see many weird characters walking around and store vendors everywhere. Parking will be a big issue so you'll be extremely lucky to find a spot. Soo the surf and turf burger, onion rings and a can soda came to $24 dollars before tip. There are waaaay better burger places around down I would rather spend this $ on but try it, you may like it better than me. BEST BURGERS IN LA!!!! Big, juicy, savory and highly recommend the truffle mushrooms for rich umami flavor. This monstrous burgers are not for the faint hearted.
So glad we stumbled upon this place because it was also near a bunch of other cool spots to try! It is a kind of small shop with maybe 4-5 tables to sit on, so I would recommend getting take out. We were travelling and were only able to eat the burgers a few hours later and it still tasted phenomenal! I was a bit worried that it may not taste as good if it isn't fresh and warm, but I was pleasantly surprised, when everything was still fresh and delicious almost 5 hours later! The servers were very nice and welcoming. They were flexible with the dishes and were open to most substitutions. When we were struggling to decide which burger to order, they kindly gave us the menu with photos of each burger to help us decide! I ordered the chicken aioli burger and it was definitely a hit! It was the right amount of flavorful and was perfectly juicy. The Threefle burger was also great! We got one of the patties on the side to eat later in case the two patties are too filling! They also gave us chipotle aioli sauce on the side for free! Since a lot of restaurants charge for sauce on the side, I was super happy to find out they offer sauce for free! The sauces were also fresh and tasted home made! They also mention that all their food is made to order and they are not a fast food restaurant so it does typically take 10-15 minutes for the orders to be ready. That's still awesome because they are making each burger fresh! Overall, loved this place and can't wait to be back to try their other burgers!
Went on a Sunday, it was super packed when we first arrived then the place got super empty to where it was just us. Small establishment, indoor & outdoor seating, very minimal. Had to park a block away. Ordered, wait time was maybe 10mins, nothing crazy. I got a bacon cheeseburger, my friend got these cheesy fries. My burger was AMAZING! One of the best burgers I've ever had. My friend enjoyed her fries but she said it would have been better if they were less cheesy. The service was great! The cashier was friendly & patient with everyone & the guys on the grill smiled & put in work. I definitely recommend 100%
With so many amazing burger places in Los Angeles, it's hard to truly know what the best is, but thanks to a fantastic lunch at Burger District a few weeks back, I for sure know this place is definitely a top 5 contender for me. My wife and I were riding our bikes around the city when lunch time approached and Burger District was the place to go. We've driven by this place a ton of times and thanks to the insanely cool artwork sign on the outside, it's been somewhere we've been meaning to try for well over a year. The inside here also has some awesome artwork that was clearly hand painted and a burger menu that allows for vegetarian options on top of all the tasty looking burgers they have to offer. With so many different burgers to pick from, I struggled a bit but eventually went with the Surf & Turf thanks to the inclusion of both beef and shrimp, a dang good combination if you ask me. The burger was piping hot when it came out and every single bite was absolutely mouth wateringly delicious. The beef was super juicy, the shrimp was great, and I can't forgot to mention the french fries on the side because those bad boys were some of the best I've had since living in DTLA. Overall, Burger District has found it's way into my top 5 LA burger spots and is definitely somewhere I'll be returning to in the future. The cool atmosphere, great food, and super friendly staff are definitely an experience I'll be taking people to experience themselves. read more

After waiting for a long time to finally try Burger District LA, I left completely disappointed. Location & Atmosphere: The restaurant is located in the Fashion District, where parking is a nightmare unless you're willing to shell out $20 for a private lot. The immediate area outside was covered in trash and reeked of urine. The location itself is tiny, run-down, and has no AC, making it uncomfortably hot inside. Seating is extremely limited to just three small tables inside and a narrow counter setup outside. Service & Food Quality: My friends and I decided to order the Surf 'N' Turf burger after seeing pictures on Yelp that made it look incredible. The food took a while to come out, which we were willing to overlook since there was only one person working the kitchen. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the wait or the pictures. As soon as I bit into my burger, I noticed a strange, off-putting aftertaste--it tasted as if an ingredient had gone bad. I couldn't tell if it was the tomatoes, the onions, or the meat itself, but something was definitely wrong. My friend had the exact same issue with his, and my other friend's patty was completely burnt. After looking into other reviews later, it turns out several people have complained about the exact same bad taste, pointing to their house sauce as the culprit. Final Verdict: Between the awful parking, unpleasant atmosphere, and downright unpalatable food, I will definitely never return. I'd much rather pay a bit more somewhere else for a decent, quality burger. Save yourself the headache and skip this place. read more

This spot was downtown LA off of Santee so parking is hard to find and it can be busy. Restaurant is small with minimal dining inside and a few tables outsidenane decorations were very colorful. Service was good and expedient. Their burgers have A LOT GOING on on them. EVERY SINGLE ONE is MUCH MORE than a burger patty and a bun! I got The District burger. It was good, but tbh I didn't get that feeling. I think maybe because there's so much on the burger. You know how sometimes you can taste each individual item? I couldn't could not. Morning stood out about the burger. That's not to say it tasted bad because it didn't. But to say it was FANTASTIC burger, I cannot. Didn't get any fries or anything to go with it. We were craving burgers and stumbled across the Burger District in the Santee Alley. This is a very small shop with limited seating. There is also no AC , so the only air is coming through the open doors. Staff was nice and quick on getting our food out. We got their truffle burger (Threefle) with a side of fries. The fries were good, nothing special but nicely salted. We added ketchup and it ruined the fries, it was overly sweet and had a bit of an odd flavor. Not sure if it's house made but it was not good and I would pass. The burger itself was very very oily and greasy. The burger just tasted like truffle oil and the meat didn't feel seasoned. This may not have been the burger for us, but it was all we tried. I would be willing to return and try a different burger, but would not get the Threefle again. read more

Super super good burger! I was so excited to eat at jump! Fries, decent enough! They prolly won't travel well though, if delivered! The ranch could use more herbs but good enough! I got a double turkey! Super good deal all around and As I said.... Super super good. Service great too'. Quick and efficient! When downtown...and hungry for a burger...eat here. *Only if you are downtown near the merchandise mart. Otherwise, I wouldn't waste much time with this place. Why? The parking situation is miserable and the burger isn't must have by any means. This is not to say it isn't good. It's probably the best burger downtown. It's a good sized patty made fresh. A little salty for my tastes, yet it hits the spot if you order the right fixings. Of which they do not skimp. The fries? Nothing special. Too dry and over fried. The onion rings? Also too dry and crisp due to not using the correct oil and temp. Prices? Decent. Worth the hype? No. A decent burger with some heft and plenty of grease. Avoid the sides and stick with the double burger. The wait might be worth it if you jazz up the order with more toppings. Still searching for a REAL steak burger (which doesn't exist in most zip codes) I may open my own burger stand and set the world straight. read more
Good, not great. The chicken sandwich was very average. The tenders weren't the best. The burger was good. Everything was hot, fresh avocado, crispy onion ring, quality ingredients. Inside is small, just two tables, more of a takeout place. Food came out quick, workers were friendly. read more

Such hearty and juicy burgers! Came here while visiting LA and was not disappointed. It gets busy but they are efficient in their system and the like moves pretty quickly. It's also small inside so be prepared to take your food and eat elsewhere. The only thing I didn't enjoy were the fries, tasted like cardboard lol but the burger makes up for it. read more

Food here is LEGIT and reasonably priced! They make some of the best burgers your tastebuds will ever be blessed with. The shop is located on the corner of the street with a few tables and they've got some cool art on the walls inside. Both times I've went it's just been two guys handling everything and they're hustling to make sure to provide good service while also serving stellar food -- just a warning to be prepared to wait as every item is made fresh to order. The menu has tremendous variety in terms of ingredients so just about everybody can find something that tickles their fancy. I've tried their District and Spicy Cali burgers with the clear standout being the Spicy Cali in my eyes. The fries are solid, not spectacular, and they include ranch, ketchup, and chilis with every order. They use high quality ingredients, season their meat, and make sure the burgers are assembled perfectly. I'd highly recommend you come here to try one of their burgers, you won't regret it!! read more

HONEST review. MAYBE 3.25/3.5 stars I ordered the surf and turf burger combo. Cost me $21.40 When I first received it. It looked decent. Only to find out the burger patty was soo thin. Extremely thin. Disappointing considering the burger alone costs $13 before tax. Yeah the burger came with shrimp on it. But the 3 shrimp that was on it. Didn't compensate for the burger being so tiny. (I included pictures) I'd say order a double. But it's another $3 to add another burger patty. And it's just not worth spending $25 on a burger combo. Overall the flavor of the burger was ok. The house sauce they use was a little too sweet for my liking. Not really into sweet/savory. It kind of overpowered the burger. The fries were decent. But nothing special. And they offer can and bottle soda $21 combo and you can't even get a refill on your drink The price just doesn't justify the food you receive read more
Burger District is a great place to go for lunch, especially if you are in the Santee Alley/shopping district area. My wife and I found this place after a full morning of shopping and needed someplace to sit down and recharge. This place did not disappoint! The burgers were all cooked perfectly and were nice and juicy without being rare. The sauce that they put on is very delicious, I'm not sure exactly what it was, but it tasted great. The fries and onion rings were pretty standard, much like most restaurants, but still very good. The burgers do take a bit of time to get out to you, but that is because it is made fresh right there and it is well worth the wait. Overall, we enjoyed the food immensely, and we enjoyed sitting outside people watching while we sat at an outside table. There isn't a lot of seating inside or outside, but people seem to cycle through pretty quickly and we never had to wait nor did we see anybody waiting while we were there. We'll definitely be back when we're shopping in LA, it's worth it! read more

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They provide you with condiments right after you order. Which is nice really nice! My kiddos rated their burger -- one of the best burgers they've ever had. This is a tiny space. It's counter service and then you find a table. It's nothing fancy! There was a steady flow of people either picking up food to go or eating here. Inside there's maybe room for 5 parties, and some outside seating. That said, after a night of partying when you need something in your stomach... this place is amazing! The burgers are great, the onion rings seriously good, and they have Mexican coke! What more can you need to manage the morning after? Service was excellent. The woman on the register was friendly and fast, the crew cooking were on their game. All in all I highly recommend. read more

Well seasoned good quality Patties. We ordered the triple which came with mushrooms, caramelized onions and garlic truffle aioli. Top notch great stuff! The bun also came perfectly toasted so the burger was perfection! We also ordered the chili cheese fries and they came out piping hot and fresh. We also ordered the chicken burger and added cheese and bacon. The tenders were slightly overcooked but the sandwich overall was hot and fresh. Everything is made to order and the service was great! All of the workers were very friendly and working hard. The place is very tiny and seating is limited. I recommend ordering ahead of you don't intend on dining. Burger district is a tiny hole in the wall in downtown Los Angeles. In the fabric district I think. They make smash burgers. Nice meaty beefy flavors. We ordered a double bacon cheese burger A single cheese burger Chili cheese fries. All three things were great. They use a unique sauce on their burgers. It's good. The double was very large. The people working there were all nice (not always true) There's plenty of depth to this menu. We ended up here because the other burger joint we wanted to go to (Bartz BBQ) was not open!! Would I go there again? Hell yes. Burger district produces a terrific burger. read more
Smacks! Certified delicious food!! Well made! Perfectly stacked burgers packing a ton of flavors! I got the Cali heat burger. It was tasty and spicy!! The onion rings provided a great crunch and the avocado provides a cooling break from the fresh jalapeño. Over all one of the best burgers in town. Friendly and helpful staff.
