Brendon And April best bartenders in LA
    Daniel A.

In the spirit of giving props and recognition to hard working folks in the restaurant industry I'd like to give a shot out to Brendon and April hands down the best bar tenders I've had the pleasure of encountering not just in LA but across multiple cities. They exemplify the very essence and epitome of elevating the bartending experience and costumer service and the artisan craftsmanship of the cocktails they make. I am so exited for this Restaurant and Bar Dave the owner truly Knows what his doing I've had the pleasure of talking to him and his down right a great person chill as can be. Brendon and April great job always holding the bar down to an outstanding A+ standard, and that's every visit I've stoped on in . If you're in for a drink don't be afraid to say hi to them you'll see what i'm talking about. Thank guys keep up the great work.

Had a great time at Prank and the owner even stopped by our table to say hi! Highly recommend!

Such a delightful experience. I've been wanting to stop by here for a while on my walks around downtown. It always looked pretty busy. It was exactly what I hoped it would be. Great drinks and food!! Happy hour ends at 8pm so that is a plus for people who get off late!!

Golden Hour - Beer and shot $12

We stopped by Prank before our Kings games for some food and drinks. This place is pretty soild. The food was good and drinks were fantastic. We arrived right when it open, during golden hour ( HH). Their beers and shot combo was $12. You can pick any beer on tap and any standard shot. As for food we ordered the following: Boneless Chicken Tenders- This was great and not dry. Good size portion as well. Beef Sliders- This was also soild. Home Made Meatballs- Soild and tasty. Prince Edward Island Mussels- This was disappointing. Most of the mussels were pretty much nonexistent. Nachos- Good size portion Nachos. Service was fantastic and very friendly. Parking- Street and Self pay lots. Overall a great way to start out the night.

Awesome happy hour in DTLA near Crypto Arena! It's one of the rare happy hours that lasts late into the evening, making it easy for me to stop by after work. We visited on a Monday when happy hour was all day, and there was a deal on chicken tenders. Just order at the bar, grab a number, and find a table.

Was driving home the other day and wanted to get something to eat, and came by Prank so decided to check it out. Has that sport bar/restaurant/local hangout vibe. First, the music was great, from 90s to more current hip hop, can't go wrong with that. Plus games on the TVs, and everyone was so friendly, just a warm and welcome spot Started with a cocktail and had the Passion Flower. Very flavorful. Would definitely get it again. For food, we tried multiple items. The meatballs were moist on the inside and had good flavor to them. The mussels are in a white wine garlic marinara sauce but didn't necessarily stand out in any one way. The filet mignon tacos were good on a blue corn tortilla with pico de gallo and avocado. We split the short rib entree which can't with garlic mashed potatoes and sauteed kale. The kale needed to be seasoned a little better but the short rib was nice and tender. Flavor wise, it was ok, didn't necessarily stand out either. Overall, cool place, good vibes, friendly staff and the people there were also friendly and talkative. Food we tried was ok overall, wouldt definitely go back to watch a game, have a drink and maybe try something the from the menu

Bar setting, got a spicy margarita and appetizers. They were pretty tasty, I didn't pay so I don't recall the pricing, but I'm assuming it was decent. Good music; Hip Hop. It's a decent sized place they had indoor and outdoor seating. Went on a Friday, it wasn't busy so that was good. Definitely recommend.

Came here for a conference social. I was able to grab a table outside. I only tried the drinks, which were pretty good! The ginger giant was my favorite. Perfectly balanced sweetness, ginger kick, and egg whites.

easy neighborhood bar, order your food and drinks and they bring it to you- felt like everyone knew each other, such an easy going spot that is super dog friendly!

Had brunch here & it was so awkward because the menu from their QR code only has 1 type of waffle on it, the Belgian waffle with cream & fruit. So when ordering I ordered the waffle, what came out was a plain hard ass waffle with nothing other than maple syrup. The waffle had no flavor whatsoever. I didn't like the syrup taste & when I asked the waiter about it when he brought the food out he said "oh you didn't order the Belgium waffle" like huh? If it's only one waffle on the menu then what other waffle was I ordering? The bacon also tasted extremely bland, I've never in my life had bland bacon lol. I heard nothing but good things about Prank, but this was my first & last experience unfortunately.

Missed happy hour unfortunately but that gives me a reason to come back! Tried the organic margarita and my partner got the spicy naked marg and they were good! Absolutely loved the spicy cauliflower even though it was pretty sweet. Mango ceviche was pretty good but it could have had more fish. Overall good service and dinner before our show at Peacock theatre!

High ceilings, Natural lighting, classy decor, comfy couches... Yeah, take your time with that room, we'll wait! I finally was able to check it off, thanks to a hotel offer with a dining credit. Dahlia is the gorgeous petite space behind the larger ground floor restaurant space now called Cabrillo (formerly Caldo Verde). Dahlia opened as a bespoke cocktail lounge, then began to offer tea. Now it's just tea. There are five 2-tops and two 4-top tables. All food and beverage venues at the Proper used to be under the auspices of famed chef Suzanne Goin and her business partner/sommelier Caroline Styne. They are no longer affiliated with the Proper, but many of their dishes/contributions remain. The last named vestige of them is on the tea menu, "Suzanne's Deviled-Egg Sandwich". The tea menu has several options: Classic, with a seasonal mocktail, or with different champagnes. I opted for the Classic experience, because the mocktail had mocha, not my fave. Server Lluvia was clearly a Dahlia veteran; she offered a tea-smelling of all the teas that interested me as well as crowd favourites. I ultimately chose one of these faves, Mad Hatter's Tea Party, which had passionfruit and vanilla. I declined milk/cream, but did get lemon. There were rock sugar sticks on the table. It seems the selection of tea sandwiches and sweet treats changes every so often, although the vanilla bean scone, dried currant scone, Devonshire cream and apricot orange jam seem like constants. The sandwich selection at my visit were: cucumber, crab/creme fraiche, beet hummus on pita, smoked salmon and Suzanne's deviled egg. All were delish, the beet, crab and deviled egg especially. The sweet treats were: orange fig butter cookie, spiced apple brown butter crumble, cranberry frangipane hand pie, chocolate mocha macaron, pumpkin madeleine, plus the 2 scones. All were excellent. There were no leftovers. A bit pricey, but a relaxing and lovely experience. The room was not crowded when I visited, adding to the calmness of my visit.
