Always a good time here, although it can get insanely busy and the drinks can take a while. I totally understand wanting to use jiggers to keep everything consistent, but when there are 20 people at the bar, it starts to slow things down a lot. At that point, they might be better off speed pouring or even prebatching some of the liqueurs for their more popular cocktails because some drinks seem like they require 5 different pours just to make one. That said, I still really like the vibe here. It tends to draw more of a millennial crowd, which is more my scene, and the overall atmosphere always makes it a fun spot to come back to.

Obsessed with everything about this bar!! We went to dinner in Little Tokyo with friends, and I happen to see this across the street. We came in for a quick drink and the aesthetic was on point. It was a dimly lit bar, with all kinds of cocktails. Even though they specialize in Japanese whiskey, there were plenty of other cocktail options or even beer. I had the Moonlight in Kyoto, which was a single cube cocktail with rum and lychee. As the night went on, it did look like they schedule a DJ which I would love to come back for!

First time in this place, I really like it. Highly recommended. Me and colleagues we decided to have a drink here. We order 2 whiskey, sours and a margarita with the tequila Fortaleza, They were really delicious, that we decided to order three rounds the same. Refreshing drinks for a Friday night. Parking is not easy but if you really wanna hang out and have a delicious drink, go ahead and find parking a little far away. I wish they have some food though. I was little kind of hungry.

It's nice to know that there is a cocktail/whisky bar that's around Little Tokyo area. Do know that parking here can be pretty challenging especially on rush hour or weekends. I came here once on a weekend afternoon (which was super packed and crazy) vs. a weekday late afternoon (when they opened which is even more chill). The inside is pretty cool with lots of Japanese whiskies and a good amount of sitting area at the bar, table, and patio. They do change their drinks seasonally so it's usually pretty different but they do keep some of their best drinks on the list still. They also have happy hours but I didn't get any of them since I wanted to try their speciality cocktails, which wasn't on the happy hour. The drinks were pretty good and the vibe is good here so you'll definitely enjoy this place if you want some good cocktails!

Nice quaint and low-dimmed bar with smooth Japanese whiskies. A little pricier than your typical bar but worth it for the quality drinks. Bartender's service is also very attentive and has good energy.

Cute spot. Hadn't been in years and it was nice to come in the afternoon when it wasn't packed vs during a weekend night. I tried to look up the name of the cocktail I had but it wasn't on their website. I had a goya (bitter melon) cocktail here the other day that was SO good. Everything about it was balanced and delicious. Literally the best cocktail I've probably had in years. If you like cocktails with refreshing, earthy flavors that aren't super sweet - get it! The raspberry/tequila/sesame drink was pretty good too. Probs to the mixologists here!

We came on a Thursday for Happy Hour. It's a really cool bar, especially their happy hour prices. They have good bartenders and plenty of seating. I really enjoyed their Wolf and Crane special and whiskey sour. One of the few spots where they actually use an egg white. That sold it for me! We didn't try any of their food, only drinks. Would come back and recommend checking out if in the Little Tokyo area.

Very cute bar in DTLA!! Came here for a goodbye HH and with it being Halloween season, the decor was so cute!! The NA ginger orange drink was so good!!!

On a Friday night, we were surprised how many tables were still open for us to sit and hang. The music was definitely more chill, but perfect for the atmosphere. Super cute for photo ops! Honestly, my friends and I used this place to pregame because of the uniquely curated drinks. Highly recommend checking out before bar hopping to another area around! ** After checking our receipt to split, we realized 2 weeks later we were charged for 2 margaritas and 1 highball instead of just one and one... just remember to double check in a busy environment! **

Wolf & Crane has such a cool, laid-back atmosphere. The DJ also played a great, vibey set. I got the Sugoi cocktail, it's originally a non-alcoholic drink but the bartender was more than happy to add vodka in it. Overall, it's a fun spot to hang out with friends and enjoy well-crafted drinks. Drinks are priced pretty reasonably too, which is always a win in LA. Will definitely be coming back on a night out!

Came here with a couple of coworkers and had a great time. The ambiance and overall vibe were really lively without feeling overwhelming. We tried three different drinks and all of them were solid. The bartenders were friendly and made the experience even better. The DJ even took song requests, which was a nice touch and kept the energy fun. There's also a good amount of seating, so it didn't feel cramped. Definitely a spot I'd come back to.

Most of these type of bars in the Little Tokyo community popping up now are a plague on society. Overhyped ingredients and flavor profiles that fall flat. All at a premium. Here they have a more minimalist approach to building the drinks. For $12-15, you get a really dynamite cocktail with new ingredients you haven't tried. Open to trying more of their stuff.

fave place for japanese whisky. when i come here i only get the yamazaki 12 year whisky, it's so smooth and really makes you feel some typa way. idk. i love it so much. aside from the amazing whisky, they have lots of cute and delicious cocktails for every taste. and beers, etc. the vibes are off the chart. it's beautiful inside with dim lighting and chill people. the servers are uber cool. one of my favorite bars in little tokez.

I've been going to them more and more, and The Lucky Tiki was one I definitely had to try out. First off, I have to praise 1933 group because I have loved every single bar they have revitalized and this one is no different. In keeping with their MO, The Lucky Tiki is a speakeasy with a vintage vibe. I won't give away how to get in but let's just say, it's near the front of Highland Park Bowl. My husband and I didn't have a reservation, but we were able to put our name in and got seated about an hour or so later. I was amazed as soon as I walked in the door! It's just floor to ceiling decorated with everything tiki. So many fun details and even interactive elements that turn on when a particular drink was ordered. That was probably my favorite part honestly. We ordered the Tiki Diablo, which is a large tiki drink with a flaming volcano. And yes it does have an interactive element. It was really good. Very fruity and strong, but not overly so. Service was excellent. Our waitress was on it and even waited to make sure my husband was back from the bathroom before lighting our drink on fire. We didn't try any food this time, but a lot of people were ordering the Hawaiian pizza. Do with that what you may. Will definitely be back ti try more drinks and food. How about instead of accepting $$$ for a private event that will deny customers their reservation, they make the private event work around what is available? A group of my friends and I have come here three different times, really wanting to like this place because the atmosphere is beautiful and lively. Unfortunately, each visit has been consistently disappointing due to the same bartender--a shorter male with visible tattoos and facial hair, who seems to regularly work one side of the bar. On all three occasions, we experienced being ignored while trying to order, even as other guests who arrived after us were served first. The first time, we were eventually told "you guys can wait" in a rude tone of voice while he continued taking other orders. The second time, we were never helped at all and had to move to another part of the bar, where a female bartender provided much better service. The third visit was the most concerning. When we tried to get his attention, he responded in a dismissive and rude tone, and as he walked away, we overheard him make an inappropriate comment about us under his breath calling us out of our name and we felt very disrespected so much so that we just left. We completely understand that weekends can get busy, but consistently dismissive and disrespectful service--especially across multiple visits--is not acceptable and we've also seen him be rude to other guests as well. Aside from this issue, the venue itself is great, which is why we gave it multiple chances. I really hope management can address this, as it impacts the overall appearance and experience of the establishment. Thank you.

The interior never changes... dark... illuminated by candlelight... the bust of Shakespeare over the fireplace, the shelves of old books-- all of it remains intact. But this latest Library Bar seems to have finally dialed in what was always sorely missing in that it showcases a conscientious staff that all seem to know how to mix drinks while treating the customer well by leaving them be. On one night my date and I share a "Black Manhattan," basically a Manhattan with the generous addition of Averna, and it's terrific. On another night, I go for Happy Hour and a few pints of Guinness on draft that are surprisingly proper and go well with their excellent and, I'm told, homemade Hummus & Veggies Plate. We had two separate servers because one went home during the middle of our dinner and both were equally horrible. Not even exaggerating when I say we waited at least 15 minutes after we asked for the check and there were probably only 10 tables in the entire restaurant. And we had to call her back over to ask for a second time. SMH. The food although flavorful was so ridiculously priced it was not even funny. I got a "ribeye ". Was literally eight thin slices of steak, like 1" x 1" size for $42! No, I will not be coming back here for so many reasons. The view is great. Castaways is definitely not what it used to be in the way of quality but at least you get more and you get the view. But definitely not worth it going to this place. It was quite a frustrating evening. Also, if you do decide to go here, just bring a coat when it's a little bit cooler in the evenings cause it does get cold up here and getting the staff to manage the heaters correctly is a whole other frustration. Oh, and valet is your only option for parking up here. It's kind of crazy because a few years ago you could just go park in the lot or the garage that's available there but now they're charging you $11 and it's chaos. I will say that the view up here is great though so if you're willing to forgo all of that for a view for like a one time date or something like that, it might be worth it
